Yes, I've posted bands from the excellent Strum & Thrum compilation from Captured Tracks. And I might continue to do so as I really dive deeper into bands that appear on the compilation.

Salem 66 (Boston, Massachusetts) is one of those bands that I've attempted to get into before. Those attempts never took, and frankly "Seven Steps Down" didn't really make me want to try again. But last Monday, I stopped by our local record store, Armadillo Records, and they had a used copy of Salem 66's eponymous debut EP. "Seven Steps Down" is the first song, but it's the rest of the album that is truly a revelation.

Salem 66 has no Bandcamp presence aside from the Strum & Thrum contribution. So here is a link to the debut album on YouTube. You'll hear Throwing Muses and Vomit Launch, but I can't imagine bands like Palberta, Public Practice or TV Ugly.

Thinking about Trevor and his support of the couples:

We see him supporting Sass when Jay helps him text Shiki in the first Shiki episode.

We see him supporting Thor and Flower even going so far as to help Thor learn about nature for Flower.

We see him supporting Isaac and Nigel to the point of the engagement and trying to help him through cold feet.

We see him genuinely happy for everyone when they get together.

Except Pete and Alberta.

He's never helped them, hasn't supported them whatsoever.

I was thinking about why... because it doesn't really fit with him, right?

Until we get to the Christmas Episode.

He reaches out to Bela to ask about being together, he has her ask Eric for consent (which he agrees to) and when it doesn't work out, he supports them.

He also stops himself and asks for consent with Hetty - "did I go too far? Not far enough" exchange.

So it's easy to conclude that "consent king Trevor" doesn't support Palberta becuase Alberta has made her opinion clear - she does not want Pete - and he wouldn't support going after someone when they say no.

*side note, some may argue that this isn't true becuase he flirts with Sam, however, he can't actually be with Sam, chilled out his flirting tremendously to the point that Sam and Alberta asked why he *didnt* make a comment, and we can reasonably conclude that it's different because they *cant* be together. To him, flirting isn't the same thing as actually persisting with Alberta the way Pete has.

On the romance front. I think Hetty and Trevor will get back together in season 4 and be the main romantic plotline with some Palberta tease. Isaac and Nigel will stay broken up for the entirety of the season while Isaac gets his character development/self discovery arc (after his stay with Patience of course).

On a more plot basis, this also better be the season where Sasappis gets his big character focus episodes.

Agree with all of this! Oh, my gosh, Sas needs a really good death story on par with Hetty's okay? if it's just blah (although if not talking about it equals heavy/sad, we've got a storm coming for Sas.) LOVE the idea of Isaac just getting a whole season of discovery to himself. That makes me so happy.

Based on what they're doing with Thor/Flower, I'm kind of nervous for Pete and Alberta, which is a shame. Cause that sort of timid guy/bold woman pairing is one of my favorites and I just, I'm worried that they'll make it very vanilla or keep Pete too afraid to grow or whatever. I truly think they could be good for each other if the show takes advantage of both their strengths and weaknesses and combine them in a way that allows them to help one another grow.

And I also will be very interested to see where H-Money goes from here.
