Y'all imma post this outside of my usual JJK ramblings but...
As a Filipina, I am so fucking proud to say that we have a double gold in the Olympics, and that's Carlos Yulo!
Like damn girl, as far as I know, this is the first time that we won double gold, and he is the second AND third gold medal holder in Philippine Sports History (Hidilyn Diaz being the first one to win gold back in 2020 for weight lifting).
My heart swells for this achievement (despite the fact that our government doesn't fucking support our athletes in the country lol).
Mabuhay ka, Carlos Yulo! 🇵🇭🥇🥇

Scandalous! 🤯
Sec. Christina Frasco of the Department of Tourism should be fired for this mess and DDB sued for misrepresentation and fraud.
Nakakahiya.

The Pentagon ran an anti-vax psyop in the Philippines at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic
Pentagon ran secret anti-vax campaign to undermine China (usatoday.com)
Please read this article. It makes me sick.
TLDR: The US is directly responsible for the over 60,000 people who have died from COVID-19 in the Philippines since the summer of 2020. The pentagon made at least 300 fake social media accounts on twitter targeted at making Filipinos believe that the Chinese-made Sinovac vaccine was dangerous. The Sinovac vaccine came out before any US-made vaccine and was widely available in the region before the smear campaign started. They used lies that the vaccine contained pork gelatin (which is considered haram to Muslims—Islam is the second largest religion in the Philippines). Their aim was to harm China's reputation and to sell more American-made vaccines in the developing world for high prices.

The US military ran a secret propaganda campaign to encourage people in developing countries to not accept life-saving aid from China, including China's new vaccine.
Reuters article -> https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-covid-propaganda/
Tumblr media
"Reuters identified at least 300 accounts on X, formerly Twitter, that matched descriptions shared by former U.S. military officials familiar with the Philippines operation. Almost all were created in the summer of 2020 and centered on the slogan #Chinaangvirus – Tagalog for China is the virus."

I honestly hadn't known before that the Philippines had such strict laws on divorce but I'm so glad that they're taking this step towards amending it. This is such a win for Filipino women and everyone in harmful or abusive situations

Elders be like, "Don't talk to anyone in the woods. If you can't help it, just don't mention your name, don't also say yes or no to any of their questions, try to be vague with your answers, if you find the conversation suspicious, leave immediately. If they just appeared then disappeared, then they are powerful than most and already took your essence without you knowing..."
But me with the Elders be like, "Don't answer an unknown number. If you can't help it just don't mention your name. Don't say Yes or No because they will steal your voice to use AI and approve illegal bank transactions. If the caller is asking for complete bank account number, drop it already. Real banks don't do that. If you answer the call and it drops immediately, your data has already been taken."
For us, their tales were just folklores so we're not very scared of it. But for them, our tales are very real, and they see with their own eyes how we are scammed. I wonder what goes on in our seniors' minds when we warn them about the creepy dangers of technology, especially AI.

It requires cunning and know-how to defraud the government. So it's wrong to say that corrupt people in government are stupid. In order to get away with corruption, you need to be smart and meticulous.
