Insanity or Minerva??
Tumblr media
As of late some presumably concerned souls wish to question my grip on reality.  Granted, I expect and encourage everyone to question everything including all my essays/posts.  Believe me I am well aware of how “crazy” or “insane” what I express and communicate sounds, and I have NOT yet gotten to the more way-out or surreal content or material.  So in the spirit of the old joke; “just cause you are paranoid does not mean they are not after you”, I submit the following.  Most should be familiar with the Phoenix Program during the Vietnam War.  It was a covert operation that was meant to identify sympathizers and potential threats to Our American Operations and Agendas, both outside of the country of South Vietnam (whom, we were helping) and internal to the country.  Then dependent upon various factors the potential malcontents would be dealt with accordingly, usually with extreme prejudice (meaning they were executed, murdered without trial or due process, for the greater good).  Presently you may have noticed that there is talk, accusations and discussions concerning “The New Phoenix Program, or Operations”.  I, myself have referenced such in association to me and my person.  However, to refer or call these criminal anti-american operations committed under color of authority by this name is a misnomer, and fails to wholly recognize the ever expanding tools and technology being deployed on an ever increasing portion of our society.  The truly paranoid minds that feels compelled to propagate program initiatives of this nature, engage in an ongoing political game of three card molly.  As each outlined mission statements mature, their objectives along with their ways and means are subsequently rolled over into a new and expanded iteration under a new Title.  If anyone wishes to view the new iteration of what was known as the Phoenix Program, you need to research “The Minerva Program or Initiative” as passed by Congress.  It outlines the preemptive targeting and execution of potential enemies of the state. Although much of it is framed with a focus on overseas operations, any probations against operations on US soil and/or the targeting of American Citizens are noticeably absent.  For those that remember “Operation Jade Helm”, its real propose was to eliminate potential patriots that would resist or be non-compliant to plans already in motion.  So before anyone else wants to question my level of sanity; please at least look up “Minerva”.  For others who for one reason or another find that they are being targeted or suspect they may be.  Please educate yourselves, and believe in something greater than just yourself.  Once you understand how they accomplish their techno tricks on you and your mind, you will immediately begin to free yourself and abate the effect of these on your brain and mind.  Some of the physical side effects will continue as long as you are subjected to the technologies.  But with your mind free, you will escape the mental anxiety and downward spiral.  For the most part one of the fundamental rules of engagement is that the person themselves must create their fate to suffer the consequence of circumstances.  There are many aspect and elements to the facets of all this, but as I am constantly reminded, my posts are too long.
(Also, please note Minerva’s flying companion the same to which sacrifices are made in Bohemian Grove)

In the darkest days of the Vietnam War, America’s Central Intelligence Agency secretly initiated a sweeping program of kidnap, torture, and assassination devised to destabilize the infrastructure of the National Liberation Front (NLF) of South Vietnam, commonly known as the “Viet Cong.” The victims of the Phoenix Program were Vietnamese civilians, male and female, suspected of harboring information about the enemy—though many on the blacklist were targeted by corrupt South Vietnamese security personnel looking to extort money or remove a rival. Between 1965 and 1972, more than eighty thousand noncombatants were “neutralized,” as men and women alike were subjected to extended imprisonment without trial, horrific torture, brutal rape, and in many cases execution, all under the watchful eyes of US government agencies.
Based on extensive research and in-depth interviews with former participants and observers, Douglas Valentine’s startling exposé blows the lid off of what was possibly the bloodiest and most inhumane covert operation in the CIA’s history.

Description: In a gripping memoir that reads like a spy novel, one man recounts his personal experience with Operation Phoenix, the program created to destroy the Vietcong’s shadow government, which thrived in the rural communities of South Vietnam.
Stuart A. Herrington was an American intelligence advisor assigned to root out the enemy in the Hau Nghia province. His two-year mission to capture or kill Communist agents operating there was made all the more difficult by local officials who were reluctant to cooperate, villagers who were too scared to talk, and VC who would not go down without a fight. Herrington developed an unexpected but intense identification with the villagers in his jurisdiction–and learned the hard way that experiencing war was profoundly different from philosophizing about it in a seminar room.
Review: One of the best books on Vietnam that I've ever read. Published shortly after the fall of Saigon, the book has a timeliness that is readily apparent to the reader. The thoughts are fresh, the memories are crystal clear, and the painful mental wounds of the experience are sharp. This is a book about the Phoenix program that is 100% about everything BUT the phoenix program. There is very little mention of the PRU teams, and the author is brutally honest about his failure to actually get a phoenix program working in his area. Instead he uses a mix of other tools to attack the viet cong infrastructure and spends much of his time crafting his skills as an interrogator and on the military intelligence he is able to exploit from those discussions. The book is above all else, one of the best on ARVN/US relations at this level, on how to interrogate and exploit that info, and a really good look at the 72 Easter Offensive.

Anakin in trans girl programming socks
@firebirdeternal
Good for her I like to imagine she has like, two entirely different ways of engaging with femininity: Exaggerated high-femme attire, frills and lace and makeup on point and HIGH high heels. This is for the "Oh no I'm being forced to be ~girly~ this is the woooooorst~" vibes. Sexy cocktail dresses. And: The coziest bitch you've ever seen. Yoga pants and big sweaters. Coding socks and comfy cotton panties. Her bed has several giant stuffed animals. This is what actually makes her feel good. Like she enjoys the other stuff but it's a performance for other people, the cozy shit is self-affirming.
I want her to be in programming socks and an oversized hoodie and cat-ear headphones and That's It. sleep-deprived and doing coding in Padme's living room

okay but if we’re going to go with theatre major phoenix we need to go full fucking theatre major phoenix
like he shows up in germany the first time like “if there’s time for it i’d love to catch a show while i’m here, germany has such a vibrant theatre scene”.
and edgeworth's like “absolutely we can make that happen, i believe there’s a major schiller production running at the moment and it should have english surtitles”.
and phoenix is like “oh yeah no i’m sure it’s really solid but actually there’s a shakespeare production i’m interested in”.
edgeworth is like “okay odd choice for someone supposedly interested in the german theatre scene, but yeah who can say no to shakespeare". but they get there and it turns out it's this like peak weird experimental avant-garde german theatre production of coriolanus that’s set in a bdsm club. for like four hours edgeworth keeps looking over at phoenix like “what in the actual fuck is happening right now right now” but no matter what is happening onstage, phoenix just keeps watching it intently, finger pressed to his lips, the same pensive furrow to his brow that he gets in court when listening to testimony.
but afterwards when they're sipping their after-show aftercare tea in the lobby phoenix is waving his arms all over the place as he's like “SUCH an effective use of consent! the way they just continually wove it into everything. the almost brechtian emersion it created. the way it laid bare the underlying themes around consent of the governed. and then tying that in with the obvious angle of the performative masculinity of militarism and an audience that demands to be played to, and drawing the comparison between that and both bdsm AND theatre itself. an obvious comparison of course, but SO well done! just wow!"
and edgeworth who still hasn't quite managed to process anything beyond that first moment when coriolanus walked onstage in full leather daddy get-up and has a white-knuckled death grip on the after-show aftercare blanket wrapped around his shoulders just nods weakly and croaks out a vague “i'm glad you enjoyed it”
like he's gotta be into weird and experimental theatre. he can't have been a theatre major and NOT be into weird and experimental theatre. sure he'll go see the schiller production and enjoy it, but bdsm coriolanus is what gets his Theatre Kid blood pumping, y'know.

So my yuri on ice obsession came back like it always does this time of year and
Tumblr media
Imagine an AU where all those lawyers are figure skaters instead of lawyers.
And competitive skating holds the same kind of weight and corruption that law does in the ace attorney world. Imagine Phoenix becoming a figure skater to help out Edgeworth, who was adopted into the Von Karma family. Who are rumored to pay off judges, blackmail competitors, basically any underhanded tactic to achieve perfect scores.
Miles Edgeworth "Demon of the Ice". Who has never not placed gold at any meet.
Phoenix grew up skating with him as a kid. He doesn't see that joy in his eyes anymore, and wants to help him.
Tumblr media
There's a lot I can still do with this. All the crazy stuff in ace attorney still would be around. There would still be a TON of murder and extortion and other shenanigans.
Maya plays the Pink Princess in Steel Samurai on Ice. Klavier Gavin is a skating sensation who writes all his own music. Troupe Gramarye on Ice
Would you read an ace attorney figure skating au because I'm THIS close to writing it
Thanks for looking at my crazy ramblings

Opinion on Ricardo Morales?
ooh… my opinion on this guy is… ehh, complicated? we have so little info on him that i don’t want to jump the gun on making assumptions, but tbh… i don’t trust him.
i don’t think that he’s actively malicious, not by a long shot. i mean, as far as we know, he’s at least TRYING, and that counts for a lot against an opponent like Doctor Zor, but he’s certainly got his fair share of faults. most of what we know about his character comes from his interactions with Prism, and he sure as heck did not handle that situation well even a little bit. did he MEAN to drive Prism out of the Agency? i doubt it. is that what happened? yes. and i think that he is fully capable of doing the same to Agent Phoenix. (it’s lightly implied he already did that to another head agent, after all. at the very least, he didn’t help) would he? i don’t know, probably not, but i believe he could, which makes him dangerous
i have my fair share of theories on the subject, but i feel that Morales may be an evolved version of Reginald from the first game: obviously he doesn’t WANT anyone to die, but… he’s expecting it. so he doesn’t care as much as he should, and that hurts people. if presented the choice (and idk if he will be, i don’t have the faintest idea where the series is going next) i think he could just as easily throw us to the wolves or become a true and vital ally that helps finish this for good and all. i don’t really have enough info to form a more solid opinion tho lol

Description: Upon his arrival in Vietnam, Lieutenant Paul Clement Pritchard found himself assigned to the Army of the Republic of Vietnam’s Four Corps as a military Advisor. From Four Corps, he was recruited into the Phoenix Program, which was designed to neutralize, capture, interrogate, and kill influential Viet Cong operatives. Pritchard saw horrors as both a military Advisor and a member of a Phoenix provincial reconnaissance unit. He saw violations of the Geneva Convention on both sides and watched as the military slowly ceded the Phoenix Program to government agencies. Throughout his ordeal, Pritchard wrote letters home—letters that gave no indication he’d held the limp body of a bloody baby in his arms, stepped in to prevent the torture of a young woman by his erstwhile allies, or endured sniper attacks and mortar fire. His letters offer a stark contrast to the reality he lived in—the humid, wet world of the Vietnam jungle, where death was an ever-present danger. A unique, candid, honest look at the Vietnam conflict from the ground level, "A Young Man in War" covers months in Pritchard’s life that are seared into his memory, no matter how much he’d like to forget them. **
