Their eyes slowly fluttered open, blue morning light washing over their room, tinting everything in the same hue. They were facing the ceiling now, their blanket tangled between their legs. 6 am. Their eyes fluttered shut, a weary sigh filling the empty room. That was what…2 hours of sleep? It’s better this way. Force themselves to sleep later, the self-induced insomnia meant that their brain prioritises deep sleep over REM, the dream-having sleep phase. That was what their therapist said anyway. Less sleep means less REM means less dreams means less nightmares.

Sure, it was an “unhealthy” coping mechanism, with its “averse” side effects, and a method their therapist “highly discouraged”. But if it meant fewer nightmares, Sunshine would brave the sluggishness, the irritation, the occasional nausea and the concerned looks from their friends.

Like now, as they sat on the worn, soft couch of Elliot’s apartment. Sinking into the worse-for-wear leather, scratched and faded in a way that perfectly matched Elliot’s second-hand-vintage-found-on-the-side-of-the-road-borderline-trash-esque design choices, they avoided the watchful gaze of their friend and hoped that their concealer had done a good enough job to cover their eyebags.

“Don’t take this the wrong way, because I think you look amazing as you are, Sunshine,” He chuckled, settling down next to them, “But, uh, you’re looking a little….worse for wear.”

Ok so maybe the concealer wasn’t doing the best job.

They waved their hand dismissively, making up some excuse about jobs, life, busy this, busy that, no time to rest. It came easily now. Lying, that is. And it wasn’t really a lie, they had filled and jam-packed their schedule full of random events to avoid a moment of rest, should they accidentally slip back into the ever-inviting embrace of sleep.

Not good enough for Elliot, though. As they watched his brow furrow in a way that made them want to instinctively smooth out, they racked their brain to reassure Elliot. There was, after all, no need to pile on more shit to Elliot’s plate.

“I’ve just been having trouble sleeping is all,” They reassured him quickly, “Nothing to worry about, I got some melatonin pills and it’s just taking some time to get used to.”

He conceded with one last concerned look, before turning his attention to the TV. “Alright, so, I was thinking for tonight, we could watch…The Tunnel? Or….Final Prayer?”

Now it was their turn to quirk an eyebrow. “You want to watch a horror movie? Mr. Never Watched FNAF, Mr. Scared of the Babadook, Mr-”

“Ok listen, I think we both know that the 4th FNAF game is genuinely horrifying. And, well, no, I’d much rather watch an actually feel-good movie. But if my bestest friend of all time has been raving about how wonderful this movie is, and has been feeling down, I will concede and watch whatever mind-fucky content you so eagerly consume as a coping mechanism. I’m simply fulfilling my best friend duties. No matter how messed up it is. And I will ignore how the fact that you watch horror movies as a coping mechanism is a major red flag and possibly a sign of a budding serial killer. Because I’m such a good friend. The best, even. ”

They scoff indignantly, “Ok, yeah I’m the serial killer. Says the one whose forever excuse is Sorry, was burying the bodies.”

It always starts like this. As Elliot loads up the movie, they make sure to maintain a completely platonic distance between them, two friends sitting on a couch, five feet apart because they are not pining for their ridiculously attractive, soft-hearted best friend. Elliot scoots closer, the leather dipping under his weight, forming a crater around them, cocooning them together, pushing Elliot closer to them. They feign annoyance as Elliot shoots a mischievous look at them. “Oh don’t think you’re getting away scot-free, Sunshine. I might be sacrificing several nights of sleep to cheer you up, but you’re going to be my human shield tonight. Trade-offs.”

Despite this, he wraps an arm around them, the dip of the couch pushing them snugly into his side. Who’s protecting who, Elliot? Regardless, they lean into his touch, his hand gently moving up and down their arm.

They blink.

The blanket around them definitely did not belong to them, but smelled familiarly comforting in a way that broke down all of Sunshine’s defences. Half asleep and not fully cognizant of their surroundings, they push themself deeper into the blanket burrow around them, instinctually chasing the fuzzy feeling of slowly waking up in the morning after a good, solid, rejuvenated night of sleep.

“Morning sleepyhead.” A familiarly husky voice; and the words don’t register, nothing but the groggy understanding that this voice emanated safety, understanding, and protection pulled Sunshine out of their dazed state. They push themselves up, rubbing their eyes to see Elliot standing there, morning hair unruly, beaming down at them. “You zonked out last night on my couch.”

Too groggy to come up with a retort, they lean into him as he sits next to them. He makes a noise of surprise, but otherwise lifts his arm to allow them to press into his side. “You’re oddly snuggly Sunshine,” He chuckles, pulling them closer, “And you fall asleep every time we hang out, am I that boring?” They half-heartedly slap his chest, feeling his chuckles reverberate through them. They sit there, in silence, simply enjoying the slow mornin in each others presence before Elliot clears his throat awkwardly.

“Anyways, uh, how was your sleep last night?”

“Good,” They mumble, “Slept well.” No nightmares, no dreams at all, actually rested. Better than they had all month

“That’s uh-that’s good.”

“Only ever sleep well when you’re around.” Still sleep-addled and fueled by the simple wants of the heart, they bring their arms to wrap around his torso, mumbling sleepily against his chest, “Maybe you’re magic.”

As they drift off back into a dreamless sleep, Elliot’s hands move to pull them in closer. Pressing a kiss to the crown of their head, he whispers, his voice impossibly soft, yearning dripping from his words, “Just for you, Sunshine.”

D for the trio

D. Have they always had the same physical appearance, or have you had to edit how they look?

oh fun! I've had the three of them since 2020, and theyve all changed a bit over the past few years.

So, when i first started playing back in like 2020, this was the first takes i did on the trio ( i was more into pixel art back then):

Josie has recieved the least amount of changes beyond adjustments to things here or there (cant fix whats already perfect), but Alex and Jamie have been pretty reworked (i swapped the hair colours almost immediatly)

This happened after i got bored in 2020, and stopped playing the game for a few months. when i came back in 2021 i rehashed Jamie and Alex, because they just didnt Feel Right

Which much more closely resemble their current appearance. I had finally captured The Vibes.

Everyone stayed pretty much the same in 2022, with some mild adornments here or there, and Josie getting her jacket.

and then 2023 is where everyone is the most like their current form.

The only real notable changes have been things like Alex loosing his hat (i dont want to draw it anymore), Alex's hair getting a bit more curly, and Jamie's becoming a bit more wavy. I've modified outfits here or there but honestly they all just own multiple clothes.

Phyiscally, body type wise, Alex has become a lot more built and buffer over time + the facial hair (he went on T, good for him).

I've also made Jamie chubbier over time, which is in part just what feels more fun for the character + wanting to work on body types and also well.... to be a little personal, i got real sick in the past couple years with my swallowing disorder, which caused me to loose a lot of weight. Drawing Jamie just well, makes me feel good!

To an extent I would say the theological aspect of religion is a language game (which obviously counters the assumptions of actual theologians, but if we want a systemized view that still takes theology seriously, a grammatical basis seems the most legitimate).

Defining god though is tricky, and honestly no single definition likely can exist. As a famous example, Aristotle’s God as Primal Mover and Plato’s God as Ideal Good are very different beasts, yet are both treated as a “god”.

If you’re wondering about pantheism though, I find the best way to think about it is to compare it to animism. While in animism the hypostases that support the material world as spirits are discrete from each other, within pantheism they can be continuously (several schools of thought in Hinduism) or entirely singular (Sikhism).

It’s solely about the Ancient Greek religions, but “The Gods of Ancient Greece: Identities and Transformations” is a good book on the philosophy of what a god is (it’s on libgen).

see, but what im saying is im not interested in the philosophy of what god is, or some correct definition of god, im interested in the semantics or linguistics of what people mean when they say "god". like its fine to use god to refer to whatever. but i dont understand what theyre communicaitng. i mean animism is much clearer than pantheism, it makes like, material claims usually. like the rock has a spirit and can take some sort of action or grant you some sort of boon or curse or whatever. the phyiscality of it is essential, it matters that it's *this rock*. (my understanding is that the greek gods were normal "guy type" gods, and then the platonists got sillay with it)

Challenge the game au: By the time Izuku is a Third Year, what are his stats at?

By the time he's a Third Year, my rough estimate for his stats is:

STR: 499

DEX: 502

CON: 525

INT: 540

WIS: 512

CHA: 433

QRK: 658

With the exception of his QRK stat, none of these are exceptional compared to, say, Top 50 Pro Heroes, but the fact that they're all consistently high is noteworthy. Miruko for example has equal or better phyiscal stats but her INT and WIS are much closer to average, and her QRK is very low.

A cute little head cannon I have in my mind about modern Aemond is that he’s awkward with girls. He’s really into Helaena’s best friend who is like family. The girl is always around for dinner, constantly steals his sweatshirts during sleepover, laughs at his lame jokes or humor, and never fails to ask about his day. So he goes to Alicent about how to deal with his crush, should he even approach you or just leave it be. But Alicent helps him come up with a game plan and distracts Aegon and Helaena next time you’re around. She’s such a proud momma and it’s a bonus that she likes you.

he's totally shy af around girls because he doesn't see himself as phyiscally attractive + he knows he's a nerd and a weirdo. the fact that you seem to not think of him this way, only intensifies his shyness around you.

he would go to his mummy to ask for advice and she'd be very happy that he has a crush on you because she adores you. she would help him to come up with a plan and a first date and a cute gift for you, everything. she would also talk to you beforehand to make sure you're interested in Aemond because she wouldn't want you to feel uncomfortable or her son to be humiliated by your rejection.

when one day she walks inside Aemond's room without knocking and witnesses you both sitting on his bed and stealing shy kisses from each other, she is the happiest mum on earth 😇

Oh, Azul came to the rescue! Kind of surprised, not gonna lie.

So, this explains a few things. 1) Azul is used to this, so this means he’s fist fought with the twins. This means he’s a good phyiscal fighter. 2) That comment about Floyd knowing how strong Azul is makes sense as well. 3) There must be seasonal fights in order to pacify those twins. 

In conclusion, HOW THE FRICK IS AZUL ABLE TO HANDLE THEM AS IS?! 

I am not sure who to root for at this point, but alright. This might’ve been a good idea.

I can´t answer that with material thing, though there were many lovely gifts I received throughout my humbly long life... lol... I think the best gift ever is the realisation that in all those years I was priviledged to find wonderful friends at any part of my life. And right now I am overwhelmed to be surrounded with internet-mutuals who are maybe not close "phyiscally", but I am allowed to share my thoughts, love for fandom, doubts, worries or simply happy notes. glance, stature, stillness and bling for Alex!

glance: At first glance, what stands out most about your OC's appearance? What's their distinguishing feature?

It depends on where you're meeting Alex. On a heist, in parabola, or just on the street will all have different notable things.

In the shadows of the night, the most notable part would be not noting anything - cloaked in shadow, masked, mysterious, and phantom in the night.

In Parabola, people would likely be first drawn to the cat ears and tail lmao, and after that, the cosmogone spectacles.

But in the day to day? Probably his grouchiness. The pissed off demeanour and lack of interest in ongoing convo tend to set off others long before they would note physical appearance. Otherwise though, i imagine his build would stand out phyiscally the most next.

stature: What's your OC's body type? How tall are they? Do they wear clothing to accentuate their look or do they try to mask it?

Alex is approximately 5'9", and generally has a well built frame and is a generally strong guy, with at least some space for his organs. The recent base drawings ive done showcases this well. He's generally gained more muscle and body hair since coming to the neath and having access to Neathy T lmao

Alex cares very little for clothing, the items he chooses mostly for practicality and nothing else. His clothing is not set to hide anything on purpose, except for his cloak which is more to blend into the shadows in general
