Planning Isn’t Boring – It’s a Superpower!

Hi Keyomi’s again!! What’s up, mga beh?

So, we just had our Week 9 lecture, and it was all about planning—yes, that thing we all kinda avoid until we’re cramming. But hear me out, this session made me realize that planning isn’t just about making to-do lists or writing stuff in a planner. It’s actually a powerful tool that makes everything—from life goals to business dreams—work smoothly.

At first, I thought, “Planning? That’s easy. Just set goals and do it.” But nope, there’s so much more to it. We learned that planning is a process, and every step has a purpose. It starts with knowing what you want to achieve (your objective), figuring out where you are now, then deciding the best way to get from here to there. Simple in theory, but when done right? Game changer.

One big takeaway for me was the idea that a goal without a plan is just a wish. Like, you can dream all you want, but if you don’t actually lay down the steps to reach it, it’ll just float around forever. That hit me hard.

The session also talked about the principles of planning—like flexibility, continuity, and making sure your plans are realistic. I really loved the idea that planning isn’t rigid. Things can change, and your plan should be ready to adjust with it. So if life throws you a plot twist? You’re not doomed—you’re just re-routing.
