Starlett - Part 1
Cooper Howard/fem!OC (not self-insert)
Tags: Hurt/comfort (sort of?), non-allowed romantic connection, lots of tention, pre and post war drama, some fluff
Warnings: Mentions of domestic abuse (no graphic scenes or descriptions of that nature), angst, canon wasteland violence
Summary: The Ghoul remembers a recruit of Moldaver, by the name of Irene Taylor, who he met before the war.
This branches out from canon but I thought it was a cute story idea so I had to write it. Enjoy! ♡

Cooper's weather-beaten boots thudded on the dirt, the stones crackling beneath his heels.
The town was too quiet for there not to be a surprise waiting for him somewhere amongst the pre-war rubble so when a glimpse of movement caught his attention and he pulled his gun.
A kid, no older than 15 held up his hands in fear.
"Please don't shoot!"
Coopers sunken eyes narrowed. "Do yourself a favour and scram. If you try anything I will shoot you. Understand?"
The kid nodded frantically in agreement and Cooper gestured with his gun for the kid to get out of there.
As the boy ran off, a large, rolled up piece of paper fell out of his backpack and unfurled face-up in the dirt.
Cooper stepped over as he re-holstered his gun, and looked down at it out of curiosity. When he saw a familiar face on it he bent down to pick it up and held it out in front of him.
"Irene Taylor," It read. "Songbird of Hollywood Hills."
On the poster was a large photograph of a glamorous woman behind a microphone, and a look of a fond, yet faded, remembrance appeared on his scarred features.

"This is a little public for a meeting isn't it?" Cooper asked as he and Lee Muldaver made their way to an empty table at a local jazz club called the Bird Cage.
"My contact is meeting us here. Don't worry about being recognised, this place is used to celebrities, they mind their own business."
They took a seat and settled in and Cooper turned his attention to the band, the singer had a lovely voice and it reminded him of the band that played at his wedding. He shook the memory from his mind.
"So where is this contact?" He asked.
Muldaver smiled a little. "You're listening to her."
He looked back at the singer.
Now that he thought about it, he did recognise her. He'd seen her face on posters for jazz clubs all over the city but never gave them much thought.
"Her husband is Frank Taylor, he's an executive for Vault Tec. She feeds us any information she can get. She's one of our best."
She had wonderful stage presence, captivating the audience with a rendition of "Them There Eyes" by Billie Holiday. Her champagne coloured dress sparkled in the stage lights, and she had every person in that room wrapped around her finger, and she knew it.
When she finished the song the room roared with applause and she stepped off the stage, politely thanking patrons as they came up to her on her way over.
Muldaver rose from her seat to meet her as she reached their table.
"Lee." Irene smiled fondly as she hugged her. "Thank you for coming."
"That was wonderful as always."
"Stop it you." Irene joked.
"May I introduce Mr. Cooper Howard?"
Irene looked at him and he held out his hand, having stood up with Muldaver.
"Pleasure to meet you Mr. Howard." She smiled as she took his hand.
"The pleasure is mine." He replied with a charming grin.
She sat down at their table and waved the waiter down for a round of drinks.
"How is everything going? Is Frank well?" Muldaver asked.
Cooper noticed Irene make a subtle, nervous glance at the bar before answering. "He's fine." She replied. "You said there was something you wanted to talk to me about?"
"Yes, our new recruit."
Muldaver looked at Cooper and Irene seemed surprised, unable to reply for a few seconds.
"I apologise for seeming so shocked, but with all of your promotions with Vault Tec, you're one of the last people I'd expect."
"Don't worry about it." He replied, reassuring her. "I understand. I'm not the first I'd expect either."
"Well, I guess this proves how convincing Lee can be." She smiled again, but there was something in that smile that seemed pained somehow.
Just then, a man came up behind them with a drink in his hand and put the other on Irene's shoulder and she jumped a little.
By her reaction Cooper thought it was another random patron come to say hello and invade her space, but he kissed her on the cheek and she looked up and smiled at him.
"Hello darling." She said.
"Hi Frank, how have you been?" Muldaver smiled.
"Oh, you know, more hours and no pay rise." He joked.
It was obvious he was tipsy and the discomfort on Irene's face as her husband sat down next to her made Cooper's eyes narrow a little.
"Darling, have you met Mr. Howard?"
"No I haven't had the pleasure." Frank replied, reaching over to shake his hand. "Nice to finally meet you Mr. Howard, your advert for vault 4 was terrific, exactly what we were looking for. I was sad to hear about your resignation."
Cooper shifted in his seat and chuckled uncomfortably, trying to retain his professionalism. "Ah, well, I'm not getting any younger." He joked.
Frank laughed, a little louder than was necessary. "Aren't we all! Say, is it true that it was your real dog in A Man and His Dog?".
Cooper took a sip of his drink that had just arrived. "Yes, Roosevelt, he's a beloved member of our little family."
"Well isn't that just the cutest darn thing." He smiled.
Irene was shrinking. Frank's presence was drowning the one that was only just captivating an entire audience. Then he noticed it and his chest pulsed with distain.
"Mr. Taylor, would you mind if I stole your wife for a dance?"
Irene looked slightly worried and stuttered her reply. "U-um, I don't..." She looked at Frank, almost for permission.
He hesitated but wanted to save face in front of everyone. "Of course." He smiled.
She stood up and walked over to take Cooper's extended hand.
He lead her to the dance floor. The band was playing an instrumental of "Good Morning Heartache" and he placed a hand on her waist.
"Not too close." She said. She realised her fear had slipped out and very quickly composed herself. "Don't want Frank to get jealous." She chuckled, disguising her reaction with a joking tone.
He stayed a modest distance from her as they began swaying to the music.
"He's playing it down but Frank is a big fan of yours. He's seen almost all of your movies, even dressed as your role in The Man From Calabasas for Halloween a few years back."
"You know," he said. "There's a funny story from that set. In the scene where I had to lasso that steer, the first take it somehow managed to pull me clean off my horse. I had a terrible black eye for two weeks after that, but the makeup team covered it up so well that no one could tell. In other words, I know a cover job when I see one."
She nervously glanced at her shoulder, briefly enough that hopefully Frank wouldn't notice if he was watching her.
"I know we just met, and it's none of my business, but Lee told me you married him for the mission. If he's hurting you, you need to tell her."
"She knows." Irene replied.
"She knows? And she hasn't pulled you out?"
"I asked her not to."
"Why?"
"Because this cause means a lot to me, and whatever I'm going through is for the greater good. I'm the only one with my foot in the door this high up, at least before you showed up."
He was getting angry now, not at anyone in particular, but at the unnecessary situation.
"Forgive me, but that's about the biggest pile of bullshit I've ever heard. You don't need to be in this any more than I do."
She scoffed dismissively. "You don't understand Mr. Howard, this is my purpose, stopping Vault Tec in any way that I can, even if it's one password or document at a time."

Horrible, HORRIBLE thought: Vox commissioning fully body portraits of Alastor in various costumes. From risque to the nun habit and even an elaborate wedding dress.
Lucifer, dead on his feet from staying up 200+ hours trying to get his latest duck sculptures right, doesn't even question the absurdity of these requests and completes the commissions, before FINALLY going to bed, only to shoot awake in the middle of the night as horrified realization dawns on him.
(context is everything in this godforsaken tag)
okay but the idea of vox commissioning alastor in a wedding dress??SLGSFKHLFLD maybe he just straight up commissioned a radiostatic wedding picture.
also I'm trying to figure out where in the timeline this takes place. of course if it was POST-season 1 things could get very awkward. you know like. this kind of awkward. but also if it was pre-dad beat dad and he just did up like a fucking radiostatic wedding commission and he just assumes they're actually married from that and when he meets alastor he doesn't remember him at first but sometime later he does and brings up him being married to the tv guy or whatever or assuming they got a divorce (and he's like oh we're kinda in the same boat) and alastor's like ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? what would EVER make you think that????? then lucifer tells him then vox dies

hi i just came from ao3 and firstly, i have read ur vaultghoul fic probably 20 times already it’s just so good with spot on characterization and amazing writing, thank u so much 🙏
secondly, i was reading the comments on it and came across one abt wanting to see a pre-war au where cooper and lucy start an affair and immediately my ears perked up like 👀 all i could imagine is her being cast as his love interest, her being a big fan of his already, and them having a wedding scene where they fuck in her wedding dress after they call cut
n e way so sorry for rambling haha but unfortunately ive got the brainrot now
I MEAN HYPOTHETICALLY -- I'm mobile (and somehow wrote 2k words still wheeze) so I'll finish this when I'm on my PC but I played around with the idea a bit thanks to this ask. :)
...
Summary; Cooper Howard x Lucy MacLean, 2077 AU where Lucy and Cooper star in a movie together.
...
There's a whole host of ways that Vault-Tec could have cracked down on Cooper. Given the infringement of their security protocols and the divorce and the way they choked him out of all the good roles...
It wasn't such a far stretch that he'd have to take place in the biggest circle jerk of a film production where his super-fan shoved his daughter into a starring role using Cooper's connections.
Because, so far as the public knew, he was still a supporter of Vault-Tec and he'd do just about anything to sell that delusion.
Cooper crushed the heel of his palms against his eyes, a limp cigarette hung between his teeth.
The girl was a nightmare.
Stiff, picky, absent-minded. No emotion, either, no semblance of self-awareness. It was like some Disney Princess popped out of the cartoons in the worst way, quick to parrot the lines she was meant to say with perfect diction but nothing more than that.
And it was somehow his fucking job to coach the girl -- Lucy -- into a leading lady. The idea was that she was the daughter of the Overseer, played by her actual father, and Cooper was some vault dweller from another section.
The whole thing was convoluted. He did cowboy flicks and the sort that had a showdown at the end. This sci-fi garbage went right over his head, this future projection of the what-if. He didn't have time for the what-if.
He had a daughter he needed to vy for custody of and an expensive divorce on the horizon. And Barb had the best lawyers money could buy and he'd never thought they'd end up like this. There was no pre-nup and nothing to protect him.
And he didn't have a goddamn lighter.
"You shouldn't smoke."
Cooper near growled around the butt of his cigarette, only just keeping himself civil at the last moment. He turned towards Lucy, unable to mistake her for anyone else. There was something about her vacant, pretty face that irked him, those giant goddamn eyes.
"It's bad for you. I read an article about it."
"Maybe you'd be better off reading your lines again," Cooper said with a wave of his hand. He dug in his jacket pocket, the one he'd worn to set.
Bingo.
Lucy crossed her arms and leaned against the vault railing. It was strange to do the filming down, a hundred feet or so beneath the surface, but it made for impressive sets. They were around the corner from the rest of the camera crew and cast.
And they were alone for the first time since shooting. Most times, Cooper had a few stage hands or interns at his heel. And he didn't see Lucy around much, except for scenes. Didn't chase her down, didn't much think of her.
Except now he's aware she's still in the wedding dress she'd been in earlier. Stage blood soaked the stomach of it, thick streams of blood from where she'd been stabbed. But he'd saved her and they'd shared a chaste kiss for the camera.
And then he hadn't seen her.
"I thought you'd be a better kisser."
Cooper didn't withhold the glare, couldn't bring himself to give a fuck. "Pardon?"
"Just -- the kiss. Didn't really..." Lucy narrowed her eyes at him. "I grew up watching your movies. My dad is a big fan. I always figured you'd be a good kisser, but you aren't."
"You ain't much yourself, either," Cooper said with a raised brow. "Like a fish, sweetheart. Cold."
"I'm not a fish," she snapped back. "That's very mean. I -- I know I was mean first but I just thought you could do better."
Cooper couldn't help but laugh to himself at this miserable brat who'd sought him out to complain about an on-screen kiss. He took a long drag, his gaze slanted across the backs of his knuckles.
"You're here 'cause your daddy yanked some strings," Cooper shrugged a shoulder. "My only obligation is to make a movie for the studio. I'm not your damn boyfriend-for-hire, trying to get you off for the cameras."
Cooper was a professional and on his best behaviour -- usually. But the long days of filming for a corporation rooted in the exploitation of the country he'd fought for... That patience wore thinner with each moment he was alone with this brat.
"I'm here as an actress -- "
"You can act?" Cooper asked, mock surprise as he pressed a hand to his chest.
Lucy had the gall to look offended.
Cooper took another drag, his hip notched against the railing. "It's a movie, darling. I've been doing this shit for years. They ain't gonna let people tongue each other to high hell."
"That..."
"That is exactly how it works," Cooper said as he ashed his cigarette onto the grate beneath his feet. "It's not about you, it's about the shot."
Lucy looked at him like he'd slapped her. "I know it's about the shot."
"Could've fooled me." Cooper huffed out a breath. He'd kissed plenty of women for his films and he was a consummate professional. If the audience bought into it, that was all he needed. He didn't give a damn if his co-star got butterflies over it.
Especially not the daughter of some jackass at Vault-Tec, for a project that was nothing more than an empty propaganda piece. But he didn't have much choice.
"I'm here because it's important to my father. Vault-Tec wanted to keep as many roles as they could within the company -- "
"Nepotism."
"To promote the culture they want within the movie, which is carefully curated -- "
"Cultish."
"To their... Could you stop doing that?"
Cooper crossed his arms, his cigarette nearly finished. The vault had good enough ventilation that the smoke disappeared but the smell lingered. He pushed away from the railing, his expensive smile slack across his lips.
"I had my fill of the Vault-Tec propaganda, sweetheart. Don't make a difference if it's from a pamphlet or a pretty girl, I'm just doing what I'm being paid to."
"Wasn't it your wife -- ex-wife -- who brought you in originally?"
Cooper's neck twitched as he looked down at Lucy, as she smart-mouthed her way right into some shit she didn't know anything about. He tipped his head to the side, the annoying collar of the vault suit biting into his jawline.
"So you believed what Vault-Tec thought originally." Lucy toyed with the stain on her white dress, her fingers tugged at the frayed edge. "What changed?"
"Nothing," Cooper said, his voice flat.
Lucy met his eye, her head tilted to contrast the angle of his head. She settled a hand on the railing, uncertainty replaced her uppity edge from before. "I'm not trying to spy on you or get information. You just -- had your life together, and then you're getting divorced."
"It happens," Cooper said, aware now that she was between him and the crew. The vault split into spidery webs in all directions, though. He could leave her if he wanted. But then he'd end up who knows where, deep in the belly of this steel nest.
But they were alone, and she'd inched closer to him.
Cooper saw the leading ladies he worked with as colleagues. Sometimes they'd have to kiss or imitate gentle moments or intimacy -- but for the most part, he could compartmentalise it. But Lucy didn't act. She couldn't. She was an atrocious leading lady and she read everything as if she were saying it herself.
Like a porn actress, saying shit to get through to the action, rushing through the writing like it didn't matter.
It wasn't her fault. He had the sneaking suspicious she had no interest in acting or in this movie; that she was only doing it because her father asked her to do it. Maybe even so she could have an excuse to meet him, he realized dimly as she looked up at him with wide hazel eyes.
That separation -- of leading lady and of a romantic partner -- muddled with her. Because he didn't even like her. He didn't want to get to know her. He hated her father and he wanted nothing to do with this company.
And she was closer to him than not, and they'd kissed a handful of times, and she'd said he sucked at it.
Cooper rolled his jaw as Lucy didn't have the guts to do more than she had. Her moony eyes fixed up at him like a challenge. And then he felt his resolve snap because it wasn't like he had much to lose. This wasn't a real acting gig and she wasn't a real leading lady.
His hand snapped out, fingers and thumb dug into her cheek. He brought her close, to see what she'd do. The answer was -- not much. She didn't shout or push him away, their mouths inches apart as he hovered close to her, examining her beneath his lashes.
"Bad kisser -- that what you said?"
Lucy swallowed hard enough to nudge his hand. "Well, you were. I'm not going to lie to you to spare your ego."
Cooper made a soft sound from the back of his throat as he kissed her. The distant crack and shift of the crew as they moved their cameras from one vault room to another should be a deterent but Cooper doesn't care.
He's single, isn't he. Has been for a few months. He'd not acted on it, hadn't felt the urge to, but he's as trapped as ever in the shadow of what Barb had done to him. It's only fair he make use of that shadow to indulge, even if it's just to prove a point to this girl Lucy.
There's some inherent amusement to how she melted into the kiss. She wanted it far more than she'd let on, that soft mewing, moaning neediness as he stroked her long brown hair out of her face. He threaded his fingers softly through her hair, hand on either side of her face, fingers combing through her hair.
Her back was arched over the railing as he gave her the kiss she'd probably expected earlier, the one he wasn't about to throw out on camera. There's standards for cinema and he didn't want to waste film or time.
But then her fingers were on the zipper of the stupid fucking vault suit. He didn't stop her, even as she yanked it down and slipped her hand along his stomach.
If anything, he pushed harder against her. The fluffy white skirt of her wedding dress made it hard to get much for himself. But with a yank of her knee and the shift of her weight, he had her seated on the railing. Her shoulder caught one of the metal frames, to keep her pinned in place.
If this were any other job or any other actress, he'd give a fuck.
But it's Vault-Tec, through and through.

Top 10 African Inspired Fashion Trends – The Afropolitan Effect
Western fashion has often looked to African and African-American culture for inspiration but this time around the world seems to want an official romance with it. Here’s what you should know about when the affair started and how Afropolitans are changing the narrative.
Western designers have been flirting with African symbols, patterns and fibers since as far back as the 1970s when Yves Saint Laurent created a fashion collection that evoked images of an exotic Africa for non-African audiences. These collections were based on what Western designers imagined Africa to be as opposed to what it really was.
As expected, this cultural appropriation, which was not benefitting African designers or textile weavers in any way created an uproar because it was a one-sided affair and was not mutually beneficial. Africa was the glamorous mistress whom Western designers wanted to profit from but not empower. The resistance also came because no one can tell Africans how to be authentically African. Despite the deep cultural similarities, the countries in the continent share different political climates, geographic realities, languages and weather. Meaning that there is no one single narrative of African reality.
These diverse experiences of Africans gave rise to the term Afropolitan. Afropolitans are young Africans with a global outlook, upwardly mobile, culturally savvy, changing the perceptions about Africa through creative expression and redefining what it means to be African in the midst of a multitude of subcultures. To be Afropolitan means we understand that the world is a global village (heck, we are products of that globalization), and that design inspiration can come from anywhere. However, if the fashion world borrows from Africa we ask for recognition, inclusion and empowerment of African designers and retail brands that have worked hard to keep evolving African style, giving it new currency and new associations.
With this understanding, let’s take a look at the top 10 Afro-inspired trends for women that have found their way to the retail fashion streets.
#1 - Matching Couple Outfits
Matching or uniform outfits are the status quo for African couples and family members at special occasions such as weddings and birthdays.  Fabric is bought in bulk and made into different glamorous attires by family and friends for an event, to serve as a form of identification, solidarity and love. The world has taken a leaf from this culture by updating pre-wedding photo shoots from matching T-shirts to full matching outfits for couples. on the other hand in winter outfit like boss jacket is the perfect one with the T-shirt for the couple.
Tumblr media
#2 - Afro-Pop Culture T-Shirts
Just like African-Americans made hip-hop a dress code, the custom T-shirt era has ushered a longing for expression of different African realities especially by urban African youths. Using personal motifs like hair-do, music and food in bold and unusual ways is now the new cool.
Tumblr media
#3 - Boubous & Kaftans
Loose fitting garments worn by African men and women called Boubous or Kaftans have become a wardrobe staple all over the world.
Tumblr media
#4 – Tie & Dye
Cultures across the African continent have various tie and dye techniques and motifs signifying varying ideas. Today, these colorful tie-dye prints are a must-have for women all over the world.
Tumblr media
#5 - Fringe Love
Traditional African fabrics like Kente. Akwete,  Asooke are woven using different types of threads. The ends of the threads are left to hang out as decorative elements at the base and sleeve of garments. The African fringe has a western cousin but the fringe love is universal.
Tumblr media
#6 - Head Wraps
African head wraps are made from local fabric or Ankara prints and tied round the head in an intricate style. The trendy head wraps of today are sewn together as ready-made fashion accessories..
Tumblr media
#7 - Wooden Jewelry
Jewelry made from utilitarian products like wood have their inspiration from African sculpting and carvings.
Tumblr media
#8 - Neck Rings
African neck rings were worn by the South Ndebele of South Africa as part of their traditional dress and as a status symbol for the wearer. Today, statement gold chokers shaped like rings are a hot fashion trend.
Tumblr media
#9 - Ankara Print
Though it is said that these prints were brought to Africa by Dutch textile manufacturers, it is the stylish use of these materials by Africans that popularized the fabric. It was Africans who requested for specific patterns to be printed and it was Africans who helped it evolve and popularized it; we made it ours.
Tumblr media
#10 - Head to Toe Monochrome/Matching Sets
Going head-to-toe in one color or pattern is a fashion trend that has its roots in African fashion. Yards of fabric are given to tailors to make matching tops and bottoms for both men and women as day wear and occasion wear. The world has caught this monochrome bug.
Tumblr media
The rise of the Afropolitan class means that there is a hunger for truly meaningful clothing that helps Africans in Diaspora connect with their roots. How can you play your part? Seek out small independent designers and/or brands and patronize them because by doing this you are strengthening the systems and supporting designers both in Africa and in the Diaspora. Looking for where to shop authentic African designs with global spice? Check out Joe Stylee. Do you know other authentic African brands? Please share in the comments.

Capturing Forever: Choosing the Perfect Pre-Wedding Shooting Location
Planning a pre-wedding photoshoot is an exciting part of the wedding journey, as it allows couples to create everlasting memories before their big day. One of the key elements that contribute to the success of this photoshoot is the selection of the perfect location. In this article, we will guide you through the process of choosing the ideal pre-wedding shooting location, ensuring that your photos reflect the love and uniqueness of your relationship.
1. Understanding Your Story:
Before diving into potential locations, take some time to reflect on your journey as a couple. Consider places that hold sentimental value or locations where you shared significant moments. This could be where you first met, had your first date, or got engaged. Understanding your story will add a personal touch to your pre-wedding photos.
2. Natural Beauty:
Nature provides a timeless backdrop for pre-wedding photos. From lush gardens and blooming flower fields to serene beaches and majestic mountains, the options are endless. Choose a location that resonates with both of you, and consider the season to maximize the natural beauty of the surroundings.
3. Urban Elegance:
For couples who are city dwellers or love the urban vibe, consider an urban setting for your pre-wedding photoshoot. Cityscapes, iconic landmarks, and charming streets can create a sophisticated and chic atmosphere for your pictures. Explore areas with unique architecture and vibrant street art for a modern and trendy feel.
4. Cultural Connection:
If you and your partner have a shared cultural background or a specific theme you want to incorporate, choosing a location that aligns with that theme can be a great idea. This could be a historic site, cultural center, or a venue that complements your chosen theme.
5. Weather Considerations:
Keep an eye on the weather forecast for your chosen shooting date. While some couples may dream of a sunny beach photoshoot, others might prefer the romantic ambiance of a misty forest or a snowy landscape. Make sure the weather aligns with your vision and dress accordingly.
6. Permits and Permissions:
Before finalizing any location, check whether permits or permissions are required for a photoshoot. Some public or private venues may have restrictions or fees associated with professional photography. Ensure that you have the necessary approvals to avoid any last-minute hiccups.
7. Timing is Everything:
Consider the time of day for your pre-wedding photoshoot. The golden hour, just after sunrise or before sunset, offers soft, warm lighting that enhances the romantic atmosphere. Plan your shoot during these times to achieve the most breathtaking results.
8. Comfort and Convenience:
Lastly, prioritize your comfort and convenience. Choose a location that is easily accessible and comfortable for both of you. Consider factors such as changing facilities, parking, and ease of mobility, especially if you plan to explore different spots within the location.
In conclusion, selecting the perfect pre-wedding shooting location involves a thoughtful combination of personal preferences, aesthetics, and practical considerations. Take the time to explore different options, discuss your vision as a couple, and ensure that the chosen location reflects the essence of your love story. With the right backdrop, your pre-wedding photos will capture the magic and anticipation of this special time in your lives.

How to Choose Outfits for Prewedding Shoot?
Once you have finalized photographer and the location for a prewedding shoot, next crucial step is finalizing outfits. Choosing the right outfits for your prewedding shoot is an important aspect that can greatly contribute to the overall look and feel of your photos. Here are some tips to help you select the perfect outfits.
Coordinate with Your Partner: Coordinate your outfits with your partner to ensure a cohesive and complementary look. Consider colors, patterns, and styles that work well together without being too matchy-matchy. Remember, you want to showcase your individual personalities while maintaining a harmonious aesthetic.
Read out our blog on Outfits you can wear for prewedding
Reflect Your Personal Style: Choose outfits that reflect your personal style and make you feel comfortable and confident. Whether you prefer a casual, formal, or themed look, it's essential that your outfits reflect who you are as a couple.
Tumblr media
Consider the Location: Think about the location of your shoot and choose outfits that suit the setting. For example, if you're shooting in a natural landscape, consider wearing softer, earthy tones. If it's an urban setting, you might opt for more modern and stylish attire. If you are planning to shoot at special designed prewedding shoot studio like Cine City Studio, plan your outfits according to the sets and backdrops that the studio has.
Tumblr media
Discuss with your Photographer: Absolutely important factor for a great prewedding shoot is your photographer. Never forget to discuss with them while you plan your outfits. Also, once the outfits are finalized, do send them the pictures so that they can discuss with their team before the shoot. It helps them for planning effectively.
Balance and Layers: Create visual interest and variety in your photos by playing with layers and textures. Consider adding a jacket, scarf, or statement accessory to add depth and dimension to your outfits.
Avoid Distracting Logos or Prints: Avoid wearing outfits with prominent logos or busy prints that may distract from the focus of the photos, which is you as a couple. Simple, timeless designs often work best.
Comfort is Key: Opt for outfits that not only make you look good but also feel comfortable. Pre-wedding shoots can be lengthy, and you want to be able to move freely and enjoy the experience without any discomfort.
Don't Forget the Details: Pay attention to the small details such as footwear, accessories, and grooming. Ensure that your shoes and accessories are well-coordinated with your outfits and that your hair, makeup, and nails are well-groomed.
Tumblr media
Try Before the Shoot: In case you are buying new clothes, or renting out, never forget to try them before the shoot day. This will help your to address sizing issues and avoid any hassles on the shoot day.
Consider Season and Weather: Keep the season and weather in mind when selecting your outfits. Dress accordingly to ensure that you're comfortable and prepared for any weather conditions.
Remember, your prewedding shoot is an opportunity to capture your love and connection as a couple, so be yourself, have fun, and choose outfits that make you feel special and confident. Discuss your outfit ideas with your photographer, as they can provide valuable input based on their experience and the overall aesthetic you envision for your shoot.
Also, in case you plan your shoot at Cine City Studio, do remember to check out their rental wardrobe which includes Traditional, Casual, Western, South Indian, Cowboy and other such outfits which properly matches with the sets they have!

Vintage Romance in an Old Library
Dive into the pages of history by choosing an old library as your backdrop. The vintage charm of weathered books, dim lighting, and wooden shelves creates an intimate atmosphere perfect for capturing timeless romance. Snuggle up between bookshelves, exchange stolen glances over dusty tomes, and let the quiet ambiance add a touch of nostalgia to your shoot.
Artistic Expression in an Art Gallery
Showcase your love in the midst of artistic masterpieces by opting for an art gallery setting. The vibrant colors, striking sculptures, and captivating artwork will add depth and sophistication to your photos. Play with perspectives, mimic famous poses, and let the creativity of the space reflect the uniqueness of your relationship.
Culinary Delights in a Cozy Kitchen
They say the way to a person's heart is through their stomach, so why not capture your love amidst the aroma of freshly baked treats? Choose a cozy kitchen as your setting and indulge in a culinary-themed shoot. From flour fights to shared cooking moments, let the warmth of the kitchen and the sweetness of your love take center stage.
Whimsical Wonderland in a Theme Park
Relive your childhood fantasies by opting for a pre-wedding shoot in a theme park. The colorful rides, vibrant stalls, and bustling crowds create a whimsical backdrop for capturing carefree moments and playful gestures. Hold hands on the Ferris wheel, steal kisses under fairy lights, and let the magic of the park translate into enchanting photographs.
Minimalist Elegance in a Contemporary Loft
Embrace the beauty of simplicity by choosing a contemporary loft as your setting. The clean lines, open spaces, and minimalist décor provide a canvas for highlighting the purity of your love. Opt for neutral tones, sleek furniture, and soft lighting to create an ambiance of understated elegance that allows your connection to shine through.
Timeless Romance in a Historic Mansion
Step into a bygone era by selecting a historic mansion for your pre-wedding shoot. The grandeur of ornate architecture, sweeping staircases, and lush gardens sets the stage for a fairytale romance. Dress in period-inspired attire, wander through opulent halls hand in hand, and let the timeless beauty of the mansion frame your love story in grandeur.
Cosmic Connection in a Planetarium
Explore the depths of your connection amidst the stars by opting for a pre-wedding shoot in a planetarium. The ethereal glow of celestial bodies, futuristic exhibits, and dimly lit domes create a romantic setting straight out of a sci-fi romance. Snuggle up under the night sky, gaze at constellations, and let the vastness of the universe mirror the depth of your love.
Urban Adventure in a Rooftop Bar
Elevate your pre-wedding shoot – both literally and figuratively – by choosing a rooftop bar as your setting. Top 10 African Inspired Fashion Trends – The Afropolitan Effect
Western fashion has often looked to African and African -American culture for inspiration but this time around the world seems to want an official romance with it. Here’s what you should know about when the affair started and how Afropolitans are changing the narrative.
Western designers have been flirting with African symbols, patterns and fibers since as far back as the 1970s when Yes Saint Laurent created a fashion collection that evoked images of an exotic Africa for non -African audiences.
With this understanding, let’s take a look at the top 10 African inspired fashion trends for women that have found their way to the retail fashion streets.
Using personal motifs like hair -do, music and food in bold and unusual ways is now the new cool.
Today, these colorful tie -dye prints are a must-have for women all over the world.
The trendy head wraps of today are sewn together as ready-made fashion accessories...
Tumblr media
#7 - Wooden Jewellery
Jewellery made from utilitarian products like wood have their inspiration from African sculpting and carvings.
