Wednesday, December 13: Primal Attack, "Red Silence"

Primal Attack was yet another act from a location outside metal’s major hubs (Portugal, in this case) attempting to recreate the sound and feel of previous eras, and “Red Silence” worked hard to recall that nexus point in the early ‘90s when thrash, death and that nascent thing calling itself “groove metal” intertwined. And to that end, the track nodded directly toward Pantera and Machine Head, with frazzled riffing, bellicose octopus drumming and shouty vocals that alluded to late ‘80s death metal. It wasn’t terribly original, but “Red Silence” was well-executed and understood its frames of reference perfectly.

Kingdom Hearts 3 - Rage Form

#kingdom hearts 3 #kh3 #sora #rage form #arendelle #formchange #my gif #rage form is so intriguing #sora still behaves in a wild animalistic fashion similar to his anti form but it's different #anti form felt as if he relinquished all self control and acted strictly on instinct just like a heartless #he used to run around hunched over on all fours and fight tooth and claw with reckless abandon #but here you can at least see SOME semblance of who he is. he's able to wield his keyblade while in this form which is pretty major #he still fights in an absolutely chaotic and primal manner but it feels evolved #the big difference is you call upon rage form at will. he channels his rage and darkness in a desperate last resort to stay alive #which is very significant but he still loses some control like the ability to use of magic; items; shotlocks; etc #it's cool to see darkness used in this way but i really want sora to able to explore themes of darkness within himself in future games #i want these to be more than cool forms with fun gameplay. i want them to have implications that something dark is brewing and needs to be-#brought to the surface and tackled head on because we've never seen anyone capable of cloaking themselves in darkness in such a way #take riku's dark form for example. he's in control and he's very much still himself. it's entirely different #on another note i'm now thinking about how hp is fully restored when activating rage form but you have the choice to give it up again-#when using risk charge. it'll increase attack damage but you're still walking a dangerous line in the pursuit of power

Yeah I'd say Direwolves are viable

#this team wouldn't get too far in the gauntlet due to the lack of healing #but holy shit 34!?? thank you tactician 5 for my life #the drawback of the all kit team was that it lacked long term damage output #even with all those crits kits just don't have a high enough attack #DWs fixed that perfectly though. the combination of 3 kits for longevity and the DWs sheer BASE 10 ATK and base 20% crit rate #combined with the 50% crit rate of tactician 5 and the 30% extra health of protector 6 AND passive dmg in Primal 3 #ALSO the fact that DWs have Piercer to ignore shields #all of that makes this team incredible #who needs coordinate when you have KILL KILL MAIM POISON RETALIATE #autobattlers are fun. when they're rigged in your favour lmao #lorwolf

#why does every character have some type of flashback backstory #this is really setting it up for a bunch of them to die i think #cause it will easily build emotion and make the reader go oh no!#how will they support or fix x thing???#putting that aside they defintely move through the shonen tropes significantly faster and improvements #the animation is also really fucking good #the impacts are awesome and the attacks are like holy shit #like you can FEEL the power difference #and i love when that happens #see one piece at like sabody #lot more female characters than naruto and have more character to them #I really do enjoy the intelligence they give to sukuna #much more interesting that just primal let lose of the nine tails #.txt #jjk
