Start with Gratitude or Meditation.No emails first thing. Period. Instead, I meditate, read, or practice gratitude to boost serotonin. Research shows serotonin helps calm the brain and reduces the need for constant dopamine hits throughout the day. Your heart and mind will thank you.

I finally got around to uploading some new work pics. Just to catch up, back at the end of February, I sprained my ankle and the sprain when septic. I spent 3 weeks in the hospital, 6 weeks after on antibiotic infusions daily at the hospital, and I'm still going to Wound Care. I had a wound vac in the beginning, but that was came off in May! I have a visit there on Tuesday, but I believe they are ready to declare me healed and release me and that is such a relief! However, due to the medication, stress, and my age, I don't bounce back like I did in my 20's and 30's. I developed alopecia that is temporary, but due to the severity of my hair loss, I shaved off. It is filling back in as it grows. I still see a little thinning, but the bald spots are covered and it's not falling out past normal shedding now. I started on some vitamins, changed my shampoo and conditioner and am staying focused on work. But, I'm going to look very different from my older work photos for awhile and decided to upload new ones. Just going to embrace the super micro pixie I gave myself. I really don't hate it, though I miss my wavy hair, not going to lie. However, I'm in the Southern US and it's been very hot. I do cover with a silk scarf to avoid sunburn on my scalp, but otherwise, it actually feels good to have my hair this short!
