#Project Organization

Inspired by @littlestsnicket’s success at organizing projects, I'm going to attempt to try something similar with 3 art projects I would like to finish by the end of the year(ish).

Historically I’ve done this with todo lists but that hasn’t worked in the past for multi component things like this. Either I would never update the list or it would be really hard to reorganize and change things. I will say the todo list did make it very convenient to build to this point (yes these projects required some skill development).

Weekly updates seem hard, so I’ll try for two weeks initially and see how that goes. The backlog is also being pulled from a much more extensive list, but I need stuff to move around.

Also yes the items are written in partial code. A clever person might figure things out, but that would be boring and not fun. Why partial code?

Given the scope, how fast I can work, I think they can all get done this year. I'll share then >:3.

sharing these thoughts again, but caleb is 300% the type of guy to go "i'm gonna kill myself" at any minor inconvenience. however, let me add to that — i also think that one of his immediate responses to outside trouble is "damn. we should kill them"

after going through your first heartbreak in high school and telling caleb about it, he replies with "we should kill him," and it makes you laugh and agree with him jokingly (he'd do it but you need him more so that stupid boy's life has been spared). he probably blabs about how you don't need that guy's attention because none of them could treat you the way you deserve, and you're fine hanging out with him for the time being.

the misandrist thoughts from him never stop — as a matter of fact, they get stronger when you start dating. he landed the girl of his dreams, and he doesn't feel worthy, but he'd rather keel over and die before letting another guy have you.

Someone on Instagram asked me "Do you think Vox eats? What's your opinion?" So it's Headcanons time!!!

I think Vox needs both to eat food and to recharge with electricity!

It kinda sucks because if he doesn't eat he feels lethargic and if he doesn't recharge he feels super weak. (Obviously it's a well kept secret and the only ones that knows this are Val, Vel and Alastor)

When he first arrived in Hell he didn't know he had to recharge too and he always felt like shit, luckily after a year or so Alastor (during one of his tease/pranks more like attempt murder) plugged one of Vox's cables to an electric grid and Vox surprisingly felt immediately better.

Nowadays he kinda has the opposite problem, as he often forgets to eat actual food and simply recharges himself by plugging in. This isn't really an issue for him, because he rarely leaves the V-Tower, and he can use his full powers with just the recharge. But Val and Vel always try to find time to spend lunch breaks and dinners with him to make sure he actually eats.

Also Vox is not really lactose intolerant, but he does have issues with the consistency of foods. (If he is in public he always manages to politely decline the bad food without acting out of his charming persona)

AND WHAT'S EVERYONE OPINION ON VOX'S EATING HABITS? Idk now I wants to know everythingggggg

this is not directed at anything in particular so much as a lament ive made in private several times over the years and am thinking about again now but. i wish that fandom had not conflated the term "zine" with "artbook". because 99% of the "zines" i see are in fact artbooks, chapbooks, or art/writing anthologies. which to me are just so so different as products!!! instead of being fully handmade they are all being professionally bound by an outside company, often come with stickers/keychains/other perks that are 3rd party manufactured, etc... and to be clear i love these and have bought several, but!

they are to me kind of the antithesis of what the word "zine" should actually imply, in the traditional sense. a zine is something you make by hand and then photocopy for the dozen or so people in your circle. a zine can be just a single sheet of paper you folded up into 8 pages and scribbled on with pencil. they can get fancier than this but once you move from using a stapler (or if you're feeling fancy needle & thread) to needing to have things perfect bound & glued by a separate industry then!!!! we have moved up the sliding scale in terms of product, towards art/chapbook and away from zine. that's what those terms meant initially we just have... kept calling them zines anyway i guess, and now i think most younger people don't realize that the origins for "zines" were things you handmade and maybe snuck your school/work's photocopier to help produce for your friends. And they were made by one person, or maybe a small collab of 2-3. Once you start adding more artists/authors, and they're all making separate things (even if on a theme), now we have hit an anthology. you know?

because i would LOOOOVE fandom zines in the traditional sense of the word, just posting photos of short scrappy handmade art/comics and mailing them to mutuals for fun like you would a christmas card. idk. like i've made i think 8-10 personal little zines on all random topics in the past year just for fun and my friends, because they're rewarding and people LOVE getting something like that in the mail. they're little visual shitposts like "rating the 16 crayola crayons i found in my drawer" and "plants i have eaten while taking walks in the desert" and it would be really fun to have fandom equivalents of those too... but fandom these days has moved away from silly rough stuff towards everything being really polished + professional and it takes some of the charm out of it i think
