This is my breaking point.

I started this blog in 2013 when I was 17. I’m 24 now and guess what? I’ve never once met my goal weight. In the past 3 years I’ve fluctuated from 135-202. I don’t even recognize my body right now. I gained 60 pounds within a year and I’ve got the stretch marks and crushed spirit to prove it. I tried doing keto and that’s when I actually got closest to my goal weight. I got down to 135 and then I couldn’t sustain it anymore and I ballooned back up to 160, tried keto again, failed, and gained even more than I had lost. I started this new year off by counting calories and getting more exercise in but I just took a few days off this week and somehow just gained more weight? Why the hell can I not lose weight anymore? I can put myself in a deficit and not lose a pound and then I’ll sniff a pizza and gain 5.

I’ve decided to weigh myself once a month. Here’s January. I was hoping to be in the 180’s by this point since I started at 196. I have a doctor’s appointment on Monday, feb 1, and I’m absolutely dreading the weight conversation with my gyno. Back to counting calories and exercising regularly, I guess I can’t have any days off if I want to get this weight off. Sending love and luck to everyone else out there in the same boat.

I’ve been writing this over the past few days, I was meant to have finished for yesterdays session but didn’t, sorry. 

I wanted to say so much more but froze up. I wanted to say that I feel so desperately unhappy, that each day is somehow painful and I'm really struggling to manage the constant dark thoughts. It's difficult to know whether I want to be here when I'm struggling to want to be anywhere in general. 

I feel fat, unnecessarily fat. It's even harder now that I have no appetite and food seems like an endless chore. I know it's wrong, but I miss the reassurance the ED provided. I miss the dulling down of everything. Now, I feel so raw, vulnerable and pathetic. I normally stop eating when I'm feeling like this so I don't really know how to manage. 

I'm trying to hold onto the hope that things will get better but I'm getting so tired. I keep sleeping the days away as no amount of distraction seems to help and I'm scared the things that stop me ending everything won't be enough (the impact it would have and hurting those I care about).  

I also feel like a massive burden, wasting everyones’ time as I know I’ve been taking a lot of staff’s time up recently, far more time than when I was smaller. I'm so grateful and it's helped me a lot but I worry others aren't getting support because of me.
