three good things:

it’s funny how you can be so fond of your family and SO exasperated by them as well and today we really explored both extremes of that spectrum of feeling lol. my therapist has a lot to say about setting boundaries with my family especially around the endless home improvement projects but it’s hard to explain to her that sometimes it’s okay to me to feel deeply exasperated by the particular ways my family shows deep love. like often the tradeoff is one I’m willing to make I guess? the way they express care is not always the way I personally want to receive care but I also recognize how intensely meaningful they find it to express their love for me in those ways and it seems sort of mean or small to insist that they love differently to accommodate my preferences or whatever. and I think that with time and practice I have become pretty good at drawing strict boundaries when a limit does matter to me and they have become better about backing off when I need them to. and idk all the little daily exasperations go hand in hand with all the little daily moments of loving and knowing I’m loved. anyway it was v moving today to watch them with the baby. he’s going to have such a great family. I feel confident I will drive him up the wall too when he’s older but I hope I also make him feel as loved as my family makes me feel.

I almost didn’t get out for my walk but the dogs were going absolutely NUTS and so I said FINE we will WALK!!! and then I got to be outside in the lovely brisk air and look at some beautiful flowering trees and talk to liz on the phone, which was very good for me. it’s good to have maddening little creatures who force you to regularly leave your home.

I have the house to myself for a couple hours! I am going to use it to read fic & think about headcanons for a ship I’m lightly interested in exploring this offseason.

an eclectic group of wardens trying to figure out why they arent being swayed by the calling all the other wardens are getting and figuring out they were all joined either with the substitute archdemon blood from soldiers peak or by this one specific guy who apparently may not even be a warden. and then once anders meets up with them he hears this and gets visibly five times more exhausted and then he opens his mouth to finally start laying out the surana deep lore he has pieced together and well, its good news and bad news.
