Happy New Year!
Wishing everyone a happy and healthy new year! This has been quite the year for me! Ending with the birth of my son on December 7th! Life has been crazy lately but extremely rewarding! Starting to get the hang of things which allowed me to work on this little project today! It's late in the day but I'm still proud to have done something! A new year's celebration with our couple of the moment - Ella and Eric! Let's see how 2025 treats me and them, shall we?

i don't write so no need to send one back but one of each for the ask game?
ok this post was in my queue for so long i genuinely forgot about it alkjlaksjdf but ok let's do it babey we'll play it for wishes were horses (spn postcanon fixit fic) since that's the story i worked on most recently
SPECIAL FEATURE (post a fun fact): this story directly contradicts the first spn postcanon fixit i wrote, Grace, which really really rubs me the wrong way bc i'm a stickler for consistency, but i wrote the first one feverishly eleven hours after the final episode. so i still think it's pretty good under the circumstances. however i can do better
MOVIE SCRIPT (post most recently written line): "He wonders why he’s so nervous to have this conversation, when apparently they eat dinner together all the time. His mom told him that, and he even remembers the dinners. And yet."
DVD PLAYER (post dialogue): i had CONSIDERED putting something from the few end-of-story scenes i have sketched out, but avoided the temptation so here's a little domestic scene.
For all his criticizing, Sam polishes off his breakfast in about ten seconds flat, then leans back and says, “What is it with you and the eggs, man? It’s always eggs with you.”  “Easy, filling, cheap. Nature’s perfect food.”  “Cause growing up, all I remember you ever making was canned soup.”  “Well.” Eggs aren’t easy to take on the road. They’re house food. “Yeah, that was in motels. We ate eggs when we stayed at Bobby’s.”  “I remember him making pancakes.”  Dean remembers too. God, those were good. He’s pretty sure it was just Bisquick, but Bobby always had the real maple syrup, none of that Mrs. Butterworth shit. “He did his pancakes, I did the eggs. He taught me how to do an over easy, but I couldn’t get it for years. Kept smashing the yolks.”  “Ohhhh, yeah, okay, now I do remember that. Cause I remember one time you got so upset you almost cried.”  Dean doesn’t remember this at all. “Nothing worse than a smashed egg.”  Eileen puts her coffee mug down. “I like them smashed,” she says, “easier to put in sandwich.”  That’s Eileen’s easygoing compromise. Something for everybody.

Taking a break from my regularly scheduled posting to do this. Advanced warning: rambling incoming. There's been a lot of conversation, and discourse, about whether or not the content in Dawntrail is "too difficult" for casual players. And after the experience I had today, I can't help but wonder if some of that feeling isn't the result of the attitudes of many long-time XIV players. Sure, there's a certain amount of "get good" that goes along with having a character at level 100, but some things just come down to whether or not you've seen a fight before. And are we really giving people the kindness and patience to learn and improve? I spent more than an hour in a level 100 dungeon today. We wiped more than 10 times across all three bosses. This isn't about my frustration with "oh I'll run a quick roulette before lunch" turning into a 75 minute excursion. This is about how the other people in my party reacted, and why I think the XIV community can do better. More under the cut.
I queue into Alexandria as a tank. I see a DPS and a Healer "Viewing Cutscene". "first time, forgive me" pops up, from the healer. "nw~ need me to pull a lil slower?" I don't mind doing that, especially in higher level dungeons where you can easily wipe to trash if someone misses a critical heal, or doesn't see the AoE indicator under the wall-to-wall pack of enemies. We get to the first boss. Which is not an easy boss the first time, or even the fifth time. There's a lot going off on top of each other, the safe spots are small and not always easy to see in the window of time you have to find them, and it's not very forgiving if you miss a mechanic. The healer dies, and despite the best efforts of our summoner to get everyone up again, we wipe. And wipe again. I double check to make sure everyone understands the mechanics, and it's just a timing thing. All good, we keep going. (I'll acknowledge my own failings here, I ate a lot of vuln stacks. Someone stuck a Dorito on me and it was just too much pressure.) And keep wiping. But we're getting further in the fight each time, and cleaner. At some point, the following comes in from the healer: "I'm sorry, I just might not be good enough" And it absolutely gutted me. Because I've been there. As a healer, as a DPS, and even as a tank. When it feels like you're trying your hardest, and you swear you can feel the other pixels on your screen getting more pissed at you by the second. The first time I ran Aurum Vale, I got so frustrated I cried and nearly quit the game. I had a similar experience with Heroes Gauntlet. The people in my parties were flat out -mean- about every missed mechanic, and every death. I still, to this day, with several Extreme clears and at least one Savage clear under my belt, get anxious when Aurum Vale pops up in Leveling. It would have been really easy to let the healer drop out, or kick them, or vote abandon. But what would that really have accomplished other than making someone feel like they're not good enough to enjoy the game that we're all here because we love?
All of this to say: For you, it might be a daily roulette between meetings or on your lunch break or after a long day at work. For someone in your party, that might be their MSQ experience. They might be learning. They might be coming back from a two year break between expansions. It costs absolutely nothing but time and a little bit of patience to be kind. And if we don't give people time and opportunity to learn, the whole community suffers for it. Dying is not the end of the world. Messing up a mechanic is not the end of the world. I've seen a lot of comments about "getting comfortable with messing up" floating around, but that only works if the other people in the party are also comfortable with messing up. With wiping and restarting three, four, TEN TIMES, and continuing on.
It was a level 100 dungeon this time, but I've been in ARR trials where someone queues in to a party that's half sprouts going through the fight for the first time, and gets pissed when there's a wipe. I had someone abandon me with two brand new players fighting Titan for the first time because we wiped twice. And we have to stop doing that to people. I can say for damned sure that the healer I played with today has a much clearer understanding of the mechanics in Alexandria bosses now. Because the party was patient, and gracious about mistakes, and wasn't afraid to own their own mistakes. And the next time they queue in for expert, they'll do better. And if everyone extends the same courtesy I experienced today, the whole community gets better together. Last thing. Rorrie the Summoner from Diabolos, if by some chance this finds you: you have the patience of a saint and you were absolutely the MVP of that run. I hope the people you play with regularly appreciate the hell out of you, because I sure did.

Rules update for 2023! 🌸🍡
I will not post non-anon asks unless it is SPECIFICALLY stated that the ask is meant to be non-anon!
1. Asks must be about a specific CS or CS as a whole, anything that doesn’t mention a CS and seems to be a random user/toyhouse vent won’t be posted.
2. Serious accusations such as pedophilia, racism, LGBTQ+phobia, abuse, and similar topics must be accompanied with proof. There is no exception to this. Anything mentioning these topics without proof linked will not be published, period (excluding asks about previously proven cases).
2a) Proof must show context and be uncropped if possible, especially discord screenshots (notoriously easy to fake, unfortunately). Censoring usernames outside of the person being reported on is fine!
3. No asks about syscourse, shipcourse, or offbrandcourse. This is not the space for it slash I do not care.
4. Direct threats and hate speech will never be posted. Anything with namedrops for no particular, just rudeness with no substance, or just ‘species sucks bc I hate it’ won’t be posted as this is not intended to be the space for that! This is intended to be a relatively neutral space to vent about specific criticisms of species either individually or as a whole.
4a) Genuine concerns about someone being harmful can be submitted with proof and with usernames mentioned.
5. Please remember I have 0 personal stake in what’s posted here. I’m just here to provide a space to get things off your chest. I don’t agree with every anon posted here, and I do not keep up with any species drama outside of what’s posted here. If you want to know my opinion, it’s usually nothing, unless I’ve already posted it on the ask itself.
6. Concern about something posted? DM me.
All posts will be tagged for organizational purposes.
May 3 Addition: Please don’t copy my rules word-for-word on any other pages. This and @csservice-reviews are the only blogs that I run and I do not want anyone thinking that I run any other blogs out there due to having the same exact rules in the same exact wording. I also mod (but don’t own) @bad-toyhouse-warnings.
Reasons Your Ask Wasn't Posted: A) It's still in the queue. This blog posts 9 times a day, and sometimes gets up to 15 asks a day. Other days it gets only 1 or 2 so it evens out, but please keep that in mind lol B) Tumblr ate it. That does happen. C) You broke the rules. Yeah, seriously. Read the rules. D) It was like the fourth ask answering the exact same question posed by another anon worded exactly the same and stating the exact same thing E) It's a topic I've already called for an end on.
Not Reasons Your Ask Wasn't Posted: A) Butthurt

This isn't a criticism, not really, but who is the angel x cordelia shipper there? I am super happy to see your content, but there is SO MUCH Angel x Cordelia shipping GIFs!
well i’m currently running this blog alone and i am indeed a cangel shipper, however i try not to let that interfere with how i run the blog. the answer to your question is that well it’s just the show’s most popular ship, that gets giffed the most of any of the ships. so i’m just reblogging what people are giffing which i try to reblog asap while still spacing out my queue. and sometimes a few different content creators will all have giffed some Cangel content on the same day.
i also queue older posts from old ATS blogs and while i try to gather varied content, again the Angel x Cordelia ship seems to have always been the biggest ship or the ship with the biggest fanbase. so while i try to keep it balanced, just as Angel is the main character and therefore appears more often on the blog than any other character, Cangel is the like the “main” ship and therefore has more content for it then other ships. and i wouldn’t want to deny reblogs to cangel content just because there isn’t enough content for other ships.
looking through the archive for Angel x Cordelia though shows that July had 9 posts out of a total of like 60-80 posts per month... doesn’t seem so much in the grand scheme of things (though tbf like half of those posts were just in the last week but they were also all new gifs people made in the last week). but yeah other ships like Fred x Gunn, Wesley x Lilah, Angel x Darla etc... only get like 1-2 posts per month but again that’s a bit out of my control as there’s only so much content out there.
god this got really long and i’m sorry if you weren’t expecting such a long answer but i wanted to really explain why that kind of thing happens (i’ve seen the same question asked about too much spuffy content on buffy blogs and well again it just happens to be the bigger ship/fandom base with very active giffers posting a lot of content).
last thing! if you’ve read this far (including everyone who follows this blog), if there are ships you’d like to see more content for let me know and i’ll see what i can do :)

This is my first time writing and i'm definitely no writer. English isn't even my first language. It is kinda long but I swear it's going somewhere. I just really love them and this will only work untill we get a new kieutou clip so whatever. Hope you enjoy. And I'm sorry if it sucks. constructive criticism is always okay but I will probably not take it into account because I am already depressed. Enjoy!!
Basically what I wish happened today for kieu my.
'but we'll definitely see each other when you come back?' 14:31
Kieu my stared at fatou's text notification on her phone, not knowing what to answer.
She still didn't know how to feel about their interaction on Tuesday, it all happened so fast and the last thing she wanted was to fight with her girlfriend.
At the time, leaving seemed like the best solution and Kieu my had every right to feel conflicted about what fatou said.
"you're the only thing distracting me from everything else at the moment"
The words resonate in her head. It hurt. Kieu my couldn't hide that those words are the ones that kept her up that night. And obviously, also the crazy situation they were in right now.
"Kieu my?" The words broke her out of her trance and she looked up from her phone to see Zoe looking at her with a worried look on her face.
"Are you okay? You've been checking your phone every five minutes since we got here" Zoe added getting closer to her
"yeah, I'm fine. I'm just... Forget it." She answered her best friend. "We're gonna lose the guys if we don't keep up" she said looking straight ahead.
Zoe didn't push her and just agreed. Kieu my put her phone back in her pocket. They jogged a little to catch up with their friends and they just kept walking.
She looked at the small group and laughed dryly to herself, which earned her a weird look from Constantin. Somehow her tall dumb friend got himself all the way to fricking Brandenburg and couldn't remember how. When Ismail told her about a 'Consti-emergency' she figured they would have to go get him from a ditch somewhere, she just would have never guessed it was from the countryside, one (1) and a half hour away from Berlin.
On the way there Ismail had told them that Constantin had called them completely trashed asking for help.
Kieu my really hasn't been keeping up with what's been happening in her friends lives. She felt bad. But at the same time, how could she? She's had so much to deal with between her parents and the shop and school and... Fatou. There she goes again. Even when she tries to be mad at her she just can't keep the skater out of her head. She reaches for her phone in her pocket when she hears a commotion ahead.
When she looks up she sees Contantin throwing up in a bush. She looks away not wanting to throw up herself.
"You guys go and head back i'll take care of... This" she hears Ismail say and when she turns back around she sees them patting the blonde's back
"are you sure?" Finn asks them and when they only nod their head 'yes' he looks at Zoe.
"yeah... okay let's go then" Zoe finally says after a minute of staring at the ground. "Text us if you need anything and when he... Calms down." She adds with a tight lipped smile. Zoe grabs her boyfriend's hand and her Best friend's arm and they start walking away.
"well that was... Unexpected?" Kieu my says after a few minutes of silence.
"yeah/yeah" both Finn and Zoe answer at the same time. "I'll text my brother and tell him we're coming back" Finn adds.
They got lucky this time around. Last time, they had to drive an hour to go get Constantin and drive back to Berlin in the middle of the night. But luckily Finn's brother somehow lived in Brandenburg so they didn't have to drive all the way back. When they got there and found the passed out boy they decided they all needed a break.
After about a twenty (20) minute walk and a small bus ride they finally got to the small house. It was cozy. Kieu my really couldn't complain. She got to share a room with her best friend while the boys would have to try and fit on the couch in the living room. Although she's pretty sure she's gonna sleep alone because Finn somehow managed to find another bed in what seemed to be the attic and with some good arguments managed to convince Zoe to sleep with him in there. But she's also pretty sure she won't be able to sleep anyway.
Like every winter day, night falls pretty fast. It's past 8 p.m and they already ate. Constantin is passed out on the couch and the others are talking about all sorts of things in the kitchen. Kieu my takes it as her queue to go to her room.
"I'm gonna get some rest. I need my beauty sleep" she tells them. They all say goodnight and she's left walking to her room alone.
It's only ten (10) minutes later when someone knocks at her door. "Can I come in kieu?" It's Zoe.
"yes, please"
"so are you ready to tell me what happened with Fatou or not?" Zoe asks nonchalantly.
"how did you even-" she gets cut off
"Come on Kieu, you're my best friend... and I saw the dozen texts she left on your phone" Zoe drags out
Kieu my falls on her bed and zoe sits next to her playing with her best friend's hair.
"I feel like I messed up... Like somehow I did something wrong and now she's pulling away from me" she starts and even before Zoe can say anything she continues. "But I just wanted to help her and she..."
"she what?"
"she said I was a distraction. And that I should leave her alone and she just got angry at me and I didn't want to fight with her so I... Left. Oh my god, I shouldn't have left right? Now she's gonna think I was there only for school stuff. She probably needed me and I left... Am I a terrible person Zoe?" She let out in barely one breath.
"See now you're spiraling. Take a breath, okay? No you are not a bad person. You were just upset and Fatou probably was too but those kinda things happen in a relationship. Me and Finn argue all the time and most of the time it's because one of us misunderstood something the other did or said" Zoe reassured her
Kieu my took a few deep breaths and sat up in the bed. She started playing With her fingers like she always does when she's feeling things.
"I guess I'm just scared that right now she's into me because I'm a good enough distraction but the moment she doesn't need me anymore... She'll just move on to someone more experienced or more interesting." The words leave her mouth with shaky breaths. Kieu my's eyes start shining but she blinks a couple time to keep the tears away.
"oh Kieu, you are such an idiot sometimes" the blonde laughs while kieu my looks at her dumbfounded. "Fatou is not like that. Nora once told me that one time, when the girls had a sleepover Fatou couldn't stop talking about you for the entire afternoon, so much so that when she fell asleep she was still saying your name" she continues. Kieu my blushes at the statement, thankful that the light is dim enough for her friend not to notice. Before Kieu my can say anything her very talkative friend continues. "She's smitten, Kieu. Maybe she just as some stuff going on. I mean don't we all" she adds wich earns a small laugh from her friend
Before they can continue their conversation someone knocks at the door and comes in without waiting for an answer. It's Finn, with a big smile on his face.
"hey girls!" He says way too excitedly. "I was wondering if Zoe.." he says looking at his girlfriend. "..Would like to come join me in our fine chambers?"
Zoe looks at her friend who is smiling at her. "Duty calls. Sorry. But if you wanna keep talking-" Kieu my cuts her off.
"Go, don't worry I'm fine. Thanks for the talk"
Zoe smiles one last time before running out of the room hand in hand with Finn.
Kieu my lays back down and closes her eyes. She can't help but think about Fatou. How does she manage to always be on her mind, it's unrealistic. She thinks about their date at the museum. Their date. She smiles to herself and covers her face with her arm to hide it. She thinks about how she nerded out to her and she just answered with something as nerdy. About how at that moment she kissed. About how well their lips fit together. About how happy she was that day. Maybe Zoe was right maybe she was spiraling.
Her phone rang and snapped her out of her thoughts. She looked at it for the first time since they got back. She gasps
It's Fatou. Of course it's Fatou, she probably thinks she ghosted her again. The moment she picks it up it stops ringing. Kieu my hesitates but puts it back down. She gets a text and as fast as she put it down she picks it back up. It's a text from Fatou. She also notices she's got some texts from her mom and a missed call from Ismail.
'hey, I just saw on your Insta you're doing a 'social media cleanse', sorry for calling you it's probably against that whole thing' -21:37
Right, Kieu my thinks, the social media cleanse.. that was Zoe's idea honestly. Another text.
'you looked really good in those pictures tho, real 'twilight' vibes🧛 -21:38
Kieu my smiles at her phone and starts to write an answer when she remembers that they haven't actually resolved their issue. And yes Fatou apologized but Kieu my expects something better than a text. On another hand she did tell her girlfriend to call her when she calmed down.
'can I call you again' -21:40 'please?' -21:40
Her phone rang again but this time she picked it up and answered. She waits a few seconds.
"hey.." she hears her girlfriend's tired voice from the other end
"hi." She says back, trying to keep her composure even behind the phone.
"how are you? I saw your posts and got worried"
"I'm.. fine, it was all pretty last minute" she answers
"Oh okay, It's good to hear your voice"
There's a silence, it's not awkward, somehow it's sad.
"Fatou?"
"yes"
"are you..." She begins but can't find the strength to finish.
"i'm not" she hears more than sees the sad smile. "I got fired"
"what- Why? When?" Kieu my asks
"Saturday. I messed up a bunch of times. Was late even. I don't know..." Fatou sounds so defeated
"I'm sorry. Why didn't you tell me?"
"I don't know.. it's not your fault"
"Fatou. I just want you to know that I didn't come to your place just for school stuff. I wanted- I want to help you and I just feel so helpless because you can see right through me and I can't seem to understand any of your problems. I'm sorry." Kieu my starts rambling but gets cut off by Fatou laughing dryly.
"Are you serious? I was the asshole and you feel bad. I'm the one that should be sorry and I am. I am sorry. I don't have an excuse I shouldn't have snapped at you like that" Fatou says and Kieu my thinks that they don't have the same definition of snapped.
"Look, I don't like this, you being mad at me and us not talking so if you just give me a chance to really explain myself I would really like it if you would come and meet me when you get back" the skater girl continues
"yeah, I would also like that" she says with a small smile
"oh okay.. great.. well would you be up for a date at a ping-pong table bar then?"
"definitely"
"great, okay then I guess I'll just leave you to your cleansing"
Kieu my laughs
"goodnight Kieu my"
A pause
"goodnight Fatou"
She hangs up.
Kieu my knows that their conversation isn't over but for now she'll take it. For now it's good.
"was that Fatou?" A voice startles her from the doorway. It's Ismail.
"Shit- you scared me." She paused "Yes it was Fatou"
"Great cause I couldn't handle your sad moping face anymore. What'd you guys talk about?" They ask
She ignores his question. "I do not have a moping face." She says with a hurt look across her face. They look at her.
"Was it that obvious?" She asks with a frown
"Yes! Babe come on even Consti could have noticed if he wasn't puking his soul in the bushes" Ismail says dramatically. "Now come on give me the details. I need to know everything that is happening between my bestie and the mother of my tortoise" they sit next to Kieu my.
"you're so dramatic" she laughs. "Relax, we had a... Quarrel on Tuesday and she apologized and asked if we could meet up to talk about it" she tell them
"a quarrel? Okay m'lady... About?"
"some stupid school stuff" she lied.
"well you're a terrible liar because I overheard that entire phone call so what's up inside that little head of yours"
"Ismail, boundaries, please"
"oh please I've seen you at your lowest miss vu. There's literally nothing you can hide from me now."
She hesitates but starts talking anyway. "You know how I told you about me officially 'meeting' her friends last week" they nodded. "Well when she got there she was visibly upset and I didn't know why and then she got a text and got even more upset and now she just told me she got fired." She takes a breath. "And I just feel bad because those are all things I'm supposed to know about my girlfriend you know? Except she doesn't talk to me about that stuff and I don't know how to get her to open up.." she finishes breathless.
"you poor disaster" Ismail smiles and shakes their head. "You ask her" she's about to cut him off but they put their finger in front of her. "You find the right way to ask her. Love language Kieu my... Love language." They stand up and put their hand up like a shakespearean poet and goes on. "Give her time to open up, this is Fatou Jallow we're talking about. And remember communication is key." They finish, winking and walking backwards to the door and closing it behind them.
Kieu my was about to laugh at her friend's theatrics when the door opens up again and Ismail walks back in.
"no, but I just wanted to ask if I could sleep here cause Constantin has taken the whole couch and he smells like a dead body so...?"
The both of them laugh and Ismail slides next to Kieu my in the bed. "I'm gonna take that as a yes" they say.
"sleep well, ice queen" they mumble already falling asleep
"shut up" she smiles.
That night she dreamt about her girlfriend. She remembers all those weeks ago when her friend sleeping next to her asked her how the dreamy skater girl made her feel. At the time she hadn't known how to put her feelings into words. At that time her girlfriend was just a silly crush. Except Kieu my vu never got silly crushes. But she had instantly known Fatou was different. She was different then and she's different now. And with that thought she drifted into a peaceful sleep. Her insecurities forgotten for the night. She should have never worried about any of this in the first place. Soon she's gonna see the girl she loves again and everything will be alr-
*record scratch*
She woke up with a gasp.
"I love her"
She panted
"congrats, you're the last one to know" she heard Ismail mumble in their pillow.
She smiled to herself, feeling dumb for realising this just now. Looking at her phone she saw 5 a.m. deciding she deserved a little bit more sleep she closed her eyes and with a content sigh drifted back to sleep.
"when I get back we'll definitely see each other" she thought
Okay so I'm too lazy to read this and check for any mistakes so if there are any point them out and i'll fix it. Hope you enjoyed and if you took the time to actually read all this thank you I appreciate. Should I make a part 2? Or Fatou's pov maybe?
Update: the response as been amazing. Like I'm actually shocked by how nice some people can be. Thank you so much.
Re-update: I had my exams this week and am really fucking exhausted and i'm just gonna wait and see what happens tonight. If it's a sad clip i'm probably gonna write the version I would've wanted to happen but i guess we'll see. Sorryyy

VolFes 2020 Shop Event Report
That got intense so fast.
Tumblr media
Crossposted at Wanderlust.
Because of the current situation and the company probably not wanting to risk it, VolFes 2020 got cancelled and instead was turned into a pop-up shop so that they can sell the goods meant for the event.
Around an estimate of 99.5% of Japan events are mostly all about buying merch, so it felt like a bloodbath of sorts as everyone around me was spending money like it grew on trees (someone I know spent at least USD2,000 for merch alone). I’ve been attending Voltage events for three years now and it always amazes me how far the fangirls will go to spend for their favorite character (I’ll be calling them ‘oshi’ [推し]) from this point forward.
As mentioned in this post, it is always good to go to an event on the very first day to avoid disappointment and loathing when the merch you’re eyeing gets sold out.
I took a leave from work for Day 1 of VolFes 2020 Shop as I knew that it would get crazy; the last few merch buying events I’ve been to left me exhausted, even if all I did was buy. It can get pretty intense at times since the people I hang out with can really get wild with the buying spree.
It was announced in the website that they would allow a free-for-all-entry to anyone wanting to buy goods after 2PM. My friend Y and I took this opportunity to eat lunch and relax since it’ll take time; between her and I, she was more tense and kept checking Twitter for any announcements. As for me, I was a bit more chill, knowing that if they run out of goods, I could still buy online.
If you’ve read my past entry, Y is a huge Saizo fan, so she’s more into this merch buying than I since she has to compete with a lot of fangirls for Saizo goods. I’m happy that with Masamune and Ieyasu, the competition for merch for the both of them isn’t as tense as Saizo’s.
The Chara announced on Twitter that the free-for-all entry would be delayed by an hour, so we took our time to have some dessert, then head off to Ikebukuro Marui. While waiting for the distribution of the designated timeslot tickets, Y and I decided to go to the nearby bank so that I could get some money (thought to pay in cash to keep the expenses lower), and on our way back, Y met an acquaintance who was just on their way out as they were done buying merch.
The acquaintance started asking Y what she would be buying this time around, and Y confessed to not buying anything related to Ouji/Be My Princess series as she had gotten disappointed before with her merch pick.
(Spoiler alert: her oshi is Ivan Chernenkov, she tried to get can badges of him by buying up to the maximum number of can badges allowed in one transaction (20 for that event), and ended up with no Ivan. That traumatized her that she swore off buying merchandise from that series.)
Acquaintance was with a friend, who then started asking Y if she could buy 20 (!!!) can badges from Ouji-sama no Propose EK (Be My Princess 2) 10th Anniversary art plus a bromide from MiraPuri (Kagami no Naka no Princess Love Palace), with 20 being the limit for can badge purchases.
At that point, Y turned to me, who was simply listening to the conversation, and said, “Kiyo isn’t buying any Ouji trading can badge merch, right?”
I gave her a confused look. “Yeah, I’m sticking to KoiRan and Ouji, with hardly any trading merch on my list.”
The acquaintance’s friend then straight-up asked me, “If you don’t mind, would you buy me 20 more can badges for Ouji EK 10th Anniversary art? I’ll give you some money to cover for the expense.”
I then took out my list (in Google Sheets); the acquaintance’s friend started dictating to me her wishlist. Upon seeing my list written in English, she gave me a look and then said, “Oh… uh, I can’t read English–”
“No worries, I got you covered and I wrote it down. So you want 20 can badges for Ouji EK…”
“Yeah, the ones with the grandsons! 20 of those, and one bromide from MiraPuri!”
Total cost of the merch was JPY9,020, enough for her to get three bonus postcards from MiraPuri.
We then promised to meet up after the buying so that we could hand over the goods, then off we went inside the building to wait for the ticket distribution.
This is the part when my friends and their other friends (at that point, I didn’t know them) got really disappointed and pissed at the free-for-all entry system that had a designated timeslot entry ticket.
If you didn’t know by now, if there’s one thing that sets off a local in this country, it’s the horrible queue/entry ticket system. It’s no exaggeration when someone says that queuing is a national sport/pastime, so if an event is crowded but has a good queue management system, a lot of people would be willing to put up with that.
However, if there are fewer people but the management is horrible, people would really criticize the hell out of it.
Which brings us to Day 1 of VolFes 2020: the website states that the entry ticket they will be handing out will be given at random, which means that even if you arrive late during the distribution of the entry ticket, there is still a chance for you to be able to secure an early timeslot.
Ex. Person A arrives at the venue at 1:30PM and has been waiting for the entry ticket distribution to start, which is an hour away. There’s a chance that they’d be given an entry ticket for the last time slot, which is at 7:40PM ~ 8:00PM.
Person B arrives at the venue at 2:30PM, the designated start of the distirbution of the numbered tickets. There’s a chance that they could get the earliest time slot to buy goods, which is at 3:00PM ~ 3:20PM.
What upset my friends was that when it was time to distribute the tickets, everyone made a run for it as soon as we were asked to queue, and when they gave us the entry ticket, we got a really late timeslot since we were positioned at nearly the end of the line.
In other words, the entry tickets they gave us was based on how "late" we got to the line; the ones that got ahead of us got an earlier slot, despite the fact that the website mentioned that the time slot on the entry ticket would be shuffled and handed out at random.
Tumblr media
Everyone around me was ranting about how half-assed (they all kept throwing the word 中途半端 [chuu’to han’pa]) the whole system was (they could have stuck with a full online timeslot reservation system for Day 1 and Day 2), and how they didn’t go through with the promise of giving out the entry tickets that shuffled the entry time of the attendees in the spirit of equality and fairness, while I figured out the loophole of the system.
No matter how early you arrive, if you’re not fast enough to queue for the entry tickets as soon as they ask you to, high chance of you being given the last timeslot.
Since we had two hours and twenty minutes to kill, we all headed for dessert at a nearby cheap restaurant and just chatted with one another until it was time to go in.
Unlike last year, VolFes 2020 is smaller, more compact, and you had less time to have fun and enjoy.
Admittedly, the merch line up is better and much more gorgeous, but goodness, there’s just too many of them that it was difficult for me to decide which one I should purchase.
In the end, I decided to skip out on buying the maximum number allowed for buying random merch and stuck it out with getting 3 ~ 4 can badges.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To prevemt the spread of the virus, anyone who enters Ikebukuro Marui and the building had to wear a mask, sanitize their hands, and had 20 minutes to complete their shopping, from picking out the merch to paying at the checkout counter. They only allowed up to 8 people at a time at the shop so you had to plan your purchases. All of us shopping had a list that we referred to while searching for the goods because entry to the venue was controlled and you are not allowed to go back in anymore after paying.
If you missed out on an item, you’ll have to ask someone whose timeslot to buy the goods is different from yours to buy your merch, you go back the next day, or you order online, which means there’s a three-month waiting period before you receive the item.
Day 1 of the shop was on a Friday so I still had another day to think about any additional purchases, so even if I missed out buying merch, it’s not really a big deal.
[I’m chill that way]
With the buying done, my friends and I headed to another cheap restaurant across the street. Just like last year, the majority of them used that time in the restaurant not to eat, but to open their merch in blind packaging to check and see who they got. If it’s their oshi, they keep it, but for the ones that are not their oshi, they carefully place both the item and the shining packaging inside a ziplock back so that they could trade it with the others.
After we ordered dinner, Y got a message that her acquaintance was at the restaurant we were at, which meant it was time for me to hand over the merch. The girl who asked me to buy for her was so thankful that I think I actually got really shy over it haha.
When I got back to my table, the food was there, so I ate dinner and continued chatting with Y, who also took the time to multitask by eating and opening the merchandise she got. Sad part was, not one of the items she bought for Day 1 contained Saizo, which made me feel sad for her. It’s really rough when you spend so much and end up with no oshi; it’s really the worst feeling in the world.
Y had an early day for Day 2 of VolFes 2020 Shop so we all parted ways early as everyone was exhausted from stressing out whether merch would get sold out on Day 1 and from simply buying goods.
Day 2 wasn’t that eventful, aside from us buying more goods (I bought Ivan’s goods this time around as my priority was Yakov’s), and I ended up trading all my Saizo goods with Y for other characters. Nothing against Saizo, but I know that someone who isn’t me would actually cherish him more than I will ever do.
———-
Not sure if anyone’s interested to see what I bought, but let me know if you’d want me to post photos of my haul.

okay, it’s really late and I really need to write and go to bed! but today was pretty good. I ended up waking up around 10, earlier than normal, so I took my time having breakfast and chilling out for a bit before starting to work. I reviewed the record for most of the day, ended up getting almost 7 hours in. I got an email from the guy who had been editing my briefs saying I’d done a great job on the edits for the last one and he only had a few minor changes so he’d just do those himself, quickly followed by one from my normal boss guy saying other guy had just told him I’d done really well with them and he knows other guy can be a harsh critic so if I’ve earned his approval I’m definitely on the right track. and like, hearing all of that after all the stressing I’ve done over this over the past two weeks is like....so much vindication. I felt so much better about all of it. but yeah, spent the rest of the day looking at the record and highlighting, got a little past 500 pages out of 1100, just starting the medical records which tend to go fast, so I’ll probably finish it tomorrow. this guy apparently has marijuana induced psychosis....really scary shit. anyway. When Jess got off work she headed out and I put an order in to the sushi place. She arrived and shortly after the food did, and we ate our sushi while first watching an english Monsta X interview video where they were basically playing jenga with questions written on the blocks and it was fucking hilarious. Seriously, if we had a show with American celebrities that did the shit they do in Korea, it would be ridiculously fucking popular. and then we watched the most recent two episodes of Young Justice. I have mixed feelings about them only releasing one episode a week now, I want it to last longer but one episode feels so short now lol. These two were kinda all over the place honestly....it’s very obvious they’re trying to stick representation in there any way they can, but it doesn’t exactly work quite how it should always. Anyway. when we finished that, we walked down the street to get some ice cream, the shop is celebrating it’s birthday so they have these tiny cones (like an inch tall) they’d fill with whipped cream and stick in the top of people’s ice cream and it was super fucking cute. I sampled one of their new flavors, rhubarb crumble, but it didn’t really have much rhubarb in it so I decided to go with one of my regulars, banana cream pie, maybe get the rhubarb another day. So we ate our ice cream and then headed to our respective apartments. I decided to start watching Queer Eye, which I of course got emotional over very quickly (it was like 10 minutes into the first episode when I started tearing up) and I really love that they’ve expanded the original concept of the original show being “Queer Eye For the Straight Guy” and now will do anybody because the stories are just so touching. The first episode with Jonathan’s former teacher was so heartwarming and I cried so much. So I watched that for most of the rest of the night, eventually stopping to focus on playing bts world for a bit lol. I was also updating the company tumblr which took fucking forever because I’ve been super behind on posts since I haven’t been posting much on this blog and I use this one as my main post source for the company one. But I eventually filled the queue and was satisfied. I’m officially stuck on all of the bts world levels, like on the main story and all the AU stories, so I guess I’ll just be grinding and leveling up cards when I can for now. And yeah, then I showered and started getting ready for bed and am now here, and somewhere in there wasted too much time because now it’s really fucking late and I need sleep, so that’s what I’m going to do now. Goodnight dears. Happy weekend.

in hindsight on my first term #4
maybe i’ve been reading too much oxfess while i’m away from uni, that i’ve paid attention to the criticism and defense of nights out that’s fought over on there, but since that’s in my head now, i want to talk about my experience with it!
so, in hindsight on my first term #4: clubbing and nights out and all that
i never went clubbing before i went to oxford (part of this may stem from the US drinking age being 21, but also my friends and i liked to meet up during the day rather than at night in general, so it’s probably not something i would’ve done regularly even if i could have), so my first experience was freshers week in Park End, and... that was also my last experience, so far, because while I went to Park End twice that week, I didn’t go to any other clubs and I haven’t been clubbing since freshers week. I am not qualified to say which of the clubs in Oxford is the best, because I literally only know the “cheese floor” of Park End, and I think it’s fun but it still isn’t something I’ve gotten around to doing again.
It’s not like I haven’t considered it - my friends and I were going to go to another club, Plush, after Queerfest, but somebody told us the queues were impossibly long so we turned around before we got there, and there was another night that several of my friends were going out after a party in somebody’s room, but i had just washed my hair and my grandparents were visiting the next day, so i stayed in cleaning my room for them, where i didn’t have to change out of my dressing gown.
But although I haven’t been clubbing any other times, I have gone out! I’ve been to every bop in my college except the one while I was away visiting family for the weekend. I went to Queerfest, which is basically a big Pride celebration in the Wadham gardens every year (and it sells out really fast but Wadham students get early tickets or I wouldn’t have been able to go). I went to the last two college bars on a bar crawl for some international students from different colleges to meet each other, and the first two pubs on a pub crawl for Oxford University horn players.
And I’ve enjoyed a lot of it! The groups of people I’ve gone to these things with, while different, are all people I like, and it’s fun to do something other than watching movies in the jcr once in a while!
So the first conclusion I’d like to make is that while I’ve seen people complaining anonymously that the only social life in their college is going out clubbing, I haven’t found that to be true in my college, or my group of friends (who, especially in the case of the horn players, were not all from my college). I could probably have done a lot better at socializing outside my college, but I definitely wouldn’t say my social life is miserable, I’ve enjoyed myself a lot on weekend nights even if I haven’t been clubbing since freshers.
And then the other complaint I’ve heard is drinking. Obviously, I’ve been on bar crawls, I haven’t been trying to avoid alcohol altogether. But when a lot of people talk about how all students do is get drunk, I... haven’t experienced that at all? I know which of my friends can’t handle alcohol very well and will need some help walking after they drink, but I haven’t gotten drunk for any of the things I described going out for, and I never felt like all my friends were drunk or were pressuring me to drink.
So, when I went clubbing, I had a cup of red wine at dinner in hall before my first clubbing experience, which is really not enough to get drunk, and nothing at all before the second. I drank a can of cider slightly fast before the first bop and giggled a lot, but that’s not very different from my normal level of giggling. I had the ~signature drink~ at each of the two college bars I went to on the bar crawl, but I actually barely drank anything of the Hilda’s college bar drink, and other people were quite happy to finish it instead and leave me sober enough to look at my maths problem sheet again. On the horn pub crawl, I had a half pint of cider at the second pub only, and drank it in small enough sips that it lasted all the drinking games. I don’t have anything against people who want to get drunk, or enjoy alcohol, or enjoy hanging out with people more while a little bit tipsy than they normally do, but in my experience all these drinking-associated things can be perfectly fun while sober, and most people aren’t dicks about you deciding to be sober if you want to be :)
my friends and i also stay in college and play Never Have I Ever a lot, with weak enough cider that nobody gets really drunk, or watch stupid movies while consuming junk food rather than alcohol, so it’s also possible to have a healthy social life that orients around none of the things i’ve described so far in this post.
(and having gotten drunk on rum and coke one night in college with my friends all supervising me in the jcr, while i spilled half my drinks and ate three quarters of my oreos, i think i am actually qualified to say that all those other times, i wasn’t just drunk but not realising, or something)

I have a little idea for the 1k followers. As I followed this blog recently, I was wondering about his history. If you feel like it, could do a summary? Like, why did you start it? Your first joy/disappointment. Any thing that we haven't see that you might want to share. Absolutely anything about the blog and you. (If you're comfortable with it of course)
This is a very good idea, lovable anon, I’ll try.
History:
It was 17th November 2015, somewhen in Tuesday afternoon. I don’t remember what exactly sparked the idea of starting this blog, but I can say for certain that it was heavily inspired by the @bleachlists (which is, if you ask me, better humor than canon Bleach). And thus the first list was born.
(I never expected this blog to get famous. Or followers besides bots for that matter. I hoped, maybe, for a little circle of, like, 5 actual readers. I certainly didn’t think I would keep this blog for longer than 4 months. That’s how it is with me usually, I have bursts of inspiration but lack long-term dedication. The fact that this blog is still going is a miracle.)
At first the lists were written in the “chat” style. I had to make up my own prompts, because the two followers or so only hearted the posts but didn’t interact with me at all otherwise. That’s why the activity was very irregular at the time, I was writing when I was inspired and thus a month could pass without a word from me and then boom, three posts in a week. Additionally, I wasn’t writing only lists, but also short stuff, kind of like “Slice of life from Azeroth.” Of these the most famous is Chromie and Dragons and in my opinion the best one and not enough appreciated one is Kel’thuzad’s Heard Of Sylvanas’ Plans.
The first breakthrough came in January 2016 when an anon, who made me happy so much that I called them “lovable” in the list and kept on doing so for all following anons, requested the very first requested list, the Care of Babies list. For a long time this has been the list with the most notes. Now there are too many lists to keep count and Tumblr doesn’t do “the best of your posts,” but still it is one of the most popular posts I have and along with the Chromie and Dragons it still pops up in my notifications. Around April 2016 I had stable enough queue of requested lists to stop making up my own prompts, thus I could completely rely on prompts from followers, most of them from anons.
Another important milestone was August of the same year: First of all, I came up with a posting schedule (Fridays and Mondays, but two months later I understood that was too fast - It ate the prompts faster than they were prompted, and I wasn’t managing it). Then Taedal was added to the lists, at first he was meant as a joke, as I keep reminding him and everyone else, and somehow it happened he stayed here. Additionally, Varian and Vol’jin’s deaths were acknowledged, putting Anduin on the list. Soon after, Garrosh joined in from beyond the veil to annoy Vol’jin in his afterlife.
About this time the blog began to create it’s own lore (and not only the L.O.R.E.), and I even had the (short-spanned) will to mystify people that Taedal is going to get his own expansion. I even had a sideblog dedicated to Taedal (in fact, it was Taedal’s own blog, intentioned as a RP blog but somehow it never…got much traffic) and even a wiki. The wiki still exists! I like to think of this as the Golden Age of HeadQuarters verse, when I even got fanfics on AO3 and a dozen of drawings for this blog even. This blog lives in an alternate universe where there is a new isle west of Pandaria and Garrosh adopted 37 dead children in the afterlife and learned to be a better person (not necessarily the same as good person, but let’s not lose hope).
I don’t remember exactly on what occasion in the 2017 the Interviews were added, but they were the first not-list which were requestable (that is, they weren’t the short filler stuff I used to make before). I think it was to celebrate the first 100 followers but I might be wrong. The first Interview was held with Taedal, by my decision, and ever since then the Interviews went by request every twenty days, moved to every other Wednesday, later as of not-so-recently, every other Tuesday. In the history of the Interviews, there happened to be only one which wasn’t published, because nobody asked any questions. (It was Interview with Kel’thuzad, pt. 3, and I jokingly said that “ when we met, the Archlich thought I used the Interview as an excuse to go out for a date with him and things went awkward” which resulted in this Top N list).
From there things went rather fast. To here actually. As a celebration for 600 followers (or was it 500? Memory fails me) I began writing Top N, sort of as of a filler in between the Interviews, so actually now this blog has moved back to the biweekly posting scheme very close to the one from 2016. Earlier this year (2018), there was a list about attack on not-Theramore, where I made up a character especially for my timeline speculations - because timeline shenanigans, it is a bronze dragon, and because it is representing me, the character is called Authormi. That is a very poor play on the word “author” (because I am the author of this blog) and the “-ormu/ormi” suffix characteristic for the Bronze dragonflight. Coincidentally, it was also the first time I have referred to myself with any sort of name here on this blog (besides the FAQ where is a link to my main blog) and I am using it since.
An important part of the blog is post maintenance when I try to at least twice a month (but if I’m very responsible, then every Friday evening) go thorough the blog, update the Interview, Top N, and L.O.R.E. pages, delete old request asks and so on. However, over the years a good number of not-request asks had piled up in here. They were…not filtered here and the blog seemed messy with them. Which is why Authormi vs. Inbox tag was created and from time to time when too many not-request asks pile here, I dump them into these post as a sort of archive. I admit that it is not, uh… ideal in case you are looking for something specific, but it keeps the blog clean. Well, cleaner.
The most recent new development of the blog was the addition of the Allied Races leaders - Alleria Windrunner for the Void Elves/Ral’dorei, High Exarch Turalyon for the Lightforged, Jaina Proudmoore for Kul Tiras, First Arcanist Thalyssra for the Nightborne Elves/Shal’dorei, Mayla Highmountain for the Highmountain Tauren Tribes, Overlord Geya’rah for the Mag’har Orcs, and Princess Talanji for the Zandalari. The choice of the leaders is taken from the information on the Allied Races from Wowpedia.
Speaking of Wowpedia, it is my primal source, besides personal experience, when it comes to writing the lists. I used to rely on WoWWiki, but, uh… that one turned a bit messy a couple of years ago and I never get around to check on it now. When I don’t know something, I look it up on Wowpedia. If it’s not on Wowpedia, I consider it a Free Real Estate lore wildcard, which means I can bullshit it out as long as it is lore/character consistent. I pride myself on giving the characters (leaders) some actual character, because, now correct me if I am wrong, Blizzard writers confuse character personality for that wind flapping pole. I am not saying that I am writing “good” or “pure” characters. They have faults, they are prejudiced, foolhardy, depressed (in not romantic ways), mean, holding grudges. Some, like Garrosh, Genn or Gallywix, are more straightforward in their flaws than others, but I am pouring a cup of sour traits to everyone here. (What I am saying here is: Be critical when you read your favorite leader’s opinion. They might not be right and/or honest.)
Overview, as of today, Monday 19th November 2018:
Published 174 lists, 24 more in the queue + bunch of requests hanging in the asks among the posts. (Somebody needs to do their maintenance)
Published 25 Interviews, 9 more in the queue + some in the asks too, I think I saw one request or two.
Published 21 Top N lists (most favoured number for N is 10), 0 in the queue.
1009 followers, woooo! I love you all. Except the 1009th one who is a porn bot, you can go fuck yourself. ‘Xcuse me. 1008 followers now!
The blog is 3 years and 2 days old. Happy birthday!
Authormi’s pick of lists to read (besides the one linked):
What they say far too often: Vintage one, so you see what the old style was like.
What do the think of the heroes: Meta one!
Their pick for a movie night: There were no guesses on what movie is a Ayeroth-verse of what Earth-verse. I am proud of some of those titles.
No Orc Invasion: The first timeline speculation, which I really lvoed. If somebody was to write that AU, I’d read it actually.
If they could erase one person from existence: Another timeline speculation. I like making those!
Draw the squad: Maybe you could draw the squad?
Watching Les Misérables: This one was an especially important journey for me, because this list is why I saw the musical in the first place. Later I read the book too (I love the book), got into some Les Mis RP, made some very good friends out of that… Yeah, I owe this one lovable anon who requested it a lot. (More or less, now I am also a professional Valjean RPer, except I don’t get paid for it. Whenever somebody who knows me joins a new RP server and they haven’t got Valjean, they usually ask me. Like… what? How? Why? Why do you all think I am a good Valjean? Why- Never mind, this is a Warcraft blog. Moving on.)
Spell of the Violent Tongue: The first time it has been brought to my attention that I think about the characters in a way a lot fo other people doesn’t, because this list surprised a lot of readers, and by surprised I mean hit into feels so hard they complained to me. I talked about it with my mum later (family support is an important thing for me and mum is fan of Warcraft), and I’ve been told that “I treat the characters maybe a bit too realistically.” PSA for everybody: Warcraft is a story about broken people and violent racism.
Their God Tier: For the people who are fan of Homestuck too. (Homestuck itself is good. The fandom is weird)
Garrosh’s 37 ghost children: By which they became more or less canon on this blog, a regular stuff which is to be counted with.
How do they insult people: The most recent popular post.
Interview with Azshara: My personally favorite thing I have ever written for this blog, as in, I don’t think I am going to peak it.
Interview with Luxien: Because I want to press Taedal’s story and “expansion” to everybody, read the interview with his older evil sister.
Top 10 favorite characters: I suppose you are a bit curious who my faves are, so here you go.
Top 10 changes to the story I would do: By heart I am a storywriter. I give such things a lot of thoughts. But as I’ve mentioned earlier, lack of dedication is… making things hard.
Other cool stuff to check out (maybe?):
Taedal’s expansion wiki, of course. I have a lot of thoughts about that world and story and… I would love to went about it a bit, too.
This very cool fanfic on AO3.
The official portrait of Taedal.
The official portrait of Authormi.
The description of this blog, as taken from my personal blog:
wowheadquarters (WoW HeadQuarters, World of Warcraft Headquarters, WoWHQ) is by far my most popular blog, despite being younger than SNTS. I add new content twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday. I never thought I’d make more than 10 posts in total, but there we go. I admit that the original idea comes from bleachlists, but it has sort of evolved since then. I am trying to keep the blog not contradicting the canon, but some things in the HeadQuartersverse might not always agree with the official lore
Final words from Authormi:
Oh my fucking god, this is really unbelieveable that this thing is still going on. I never expected this blog to live beyond a month. I never thought I’d get more than 20 followers. I have 1000 now? That’s… is that Tumblr-famous? I’ve never had this many followers. Do you all read this? All the stuff? Am I shaping your view on the Warcraft universe? This is too much power for one person to have.
You want to know what’s actually my happiest memory connected to this blog? It was actually some time back (because my memory is a mess, I can’t tell you how far back), I had a really, really stuffed couple of weeks. A lot of to do, but also mentally exhausted, I was in a bad place for a bit there. Usually I am able to kick myself in the ass, sit down and make up the list on the go, even if it is bound to be miserable wreck of text, I write it. Sometimes when I am super done and tired, I write it on Saturday evening and pretend it’s Friday and so far everyone’s been so kind and there’s been no comment to that. But in those two or three weeks I just… couldn’t. Even clinging to this self-made structure was too exhausting. I wasn’t on Tumblr for basically the whole time (my main blog was fuelled by the queue). Sometimes when I am in a good place, I write lists in advance and schedule them, but at that time no such a thing took place, so this blog went silent without announcement and I couldn’t care less. When I finally found it in me to come online, my inbox greeted me with various people who were asking me if I was okay and whether or not I am still alive written in a very worried manner. And you know… reading that helped me a lot at the moment. It was a reminder that somebody here cares for me and cares for what I do and… Yeah, it was a damn motivation to get myself together a bit and write stuff and do some stuff. Since then I’m trying to announce in advance if I think I am not going to make it, and even then I am still trying to write the list as soon as possible when I am fit to.
A story for your amusement on this “write it when possible” note. This summer I was with my 4 younger siblings (my oldest sister, still younger than I, turned 18 last Thursday, the youngest sibling who also happens to be a sister is 4, but I don’t live with all the siblings, blah blah divorced parents blah blah, not related) and dad and grandfather in the beautiful village (or town?) of Au in Austria. I took my old laptop with me (I’ve got a new one recently) which had battery that could live on it’s own for, like 10 minutes. The house we were living in had no wi-fi, but there was a village-wide public wi-fi… which din’t reach the house. The nearest was at the bus stop, but that one was shaky, and the good reliable hotspot was at the park, 10 minutes of walk away from the house. Now, it was nearly Friday and I needed to post the list. So I wrote it int he laptop’s notepad, then turned off its life support, took it and dashed across all of Au to the wi-fi hotspot, formatted the document into a list, and hit post. About 2 minutes later, the laptop died.
I am thinking about making another blog directly meant for the asks, request or not, and those would stay there. What do you all think? Maybe I would lose things there, I am quite capable of it.
I’d love to talk about Taedal and his demons and his entire story a bit more. But I haven’t got, like, a reason to do so. I am sort of insecure in this matter, I sort of have the feeling that nobody really cares for Taedal here. “What are you thinking, a ‘good demon’ OC?” (Ask me about Taedal and his faction and the Broken and Distant Worlds expansion. I have an expansion and half planned in my head.)
There is some kind of an expectation or anticipation in me to have someone from Blizz discovering this blog and some big consequences happening. I am not sure whether I want it to happen or not. I mean, I am a bit… too-critical of their work in attempt to please the crowd here. (It’s easy to search for flaws when you take the good stuff as the norm. You are actually doing a good job, Blizzard, in the terms of game developing and marketing. But there is that one post going around which says that Warcraft lore/story is written by 9 people who cannot talk to each other. In this spirit, I am sure that there are 4 people writing charcter psychological profiles who don’t know of each other’s existence. Your animation is a snack, though.)
Wow. I suck at summaries. This is as brief as it gets.

Lunch Rush Crush
My first attempt at writing fanfiction, so i chose Solangelo! It took me so long to post this and I am so sorry for that. I always accept criticism and hope you enjoy! (All mistakes are mine, please forgive me)

In Will’s two years of experience, noon was the worst time to enter the dining hall that he and his group of friends so graciously dubbed ‘The Trash Can.’ The name had nothing to do with the food--which consisted of a Popeyes, a McDonalds and a little Chinese joint that had the best fried rice for miles around--but the size of the building. The Trash Can was the size of high-school cafeteria, with most of the space being used to queue, leaving behind a square of tightly packet tables and booths.
Will detested greasy fast-food and preferred to run back to his dorm to grab lunch. However, he didn’t have to time nor the energy to walk two-and-a-half miles to get the beautiful salad sitting in his fridge. This situation and Will’s unwillingness to miss a meal uncovered the only option he really could find.
Will had no choice but to eat in The Trash Can.
Popeyes by far had the shortest line, so once Will had his tray of greasy fried chicken and fries (plus a puck-like biscuit that he was definitely going to ignore), he searched for an empty table. Eyes half open, he scanned the crowded room, spinning in a small circle to take in the entire space.
Will was about to give up and take his food outside, when a group of women holding take-out containers stepped away from a wall, revealing a chair. The wood was stained at the top and bathed in the light streaming in from a window. Before anyone else could take the gods-sent chair, Will went for it.
Skillfully avoiding bumping into anybody, Will made it to the table, slamming down his tray and falling backwards into the chair. Sighing loudly, the blond put his face in his hands, rubbing at the corners of his eyes tiredly. Will was in his own exhaustion-and-stress induced world, mind swirling with terms and facts Will wasn’t sure he was going to remember in an hour.
“Uh ... hello?” someone said, his voice rich with the barest hint of an accent. Will jerked up and stared at the person sitting across from him. The man was undeniably beautiful, albeit a little tired looking. He had fluffy black hair and dark brown eyes, all contrasting with his pale skin.
Will smiled bashfully. “I’m sorry, this was the only place to sit. You want me to go?” Will gestured vaguely into the crowd of hungry college students.
The man shook his head, spinning a ring around his finger.
“I’m Will,” he held out a hand. The man didn’t reach out, instead sticking his hands into the pockets of his aviator’s jacket. Will dropped his hand. “Thank you, by the way.”
Finally, the other man spoke. “It’s not a big deal. I’m Nico.”
Nico, Will thought, beautiful. Still smiling, Will began to eat. He did not pay careful attention to how he ate in order to appear more put-together to Nico, not at all. Will also did not stare at Nico’s face and hands, because that would be creepy and rude.
When Nico sat back, however, Will could not hold back a startled gasp at what he saw. “Where did you get that shirt?” Will exclaimed, leaning forward to admire the artwork. “The Hunters of Artemis haven’t released any merch yet, as far as I know. Did you make that? It’s beautiful, where can I--“
“Hold on, I can only answer one question at a time, Will.” Nico rolled his eyes and pushed his tray out of the way. “Now, go ahead.”
Will took a deep breath. “The Hunters of Artemis don’t have any merch at all. How do you have that?”
“I designed it.” Nico dropped his voice to a whisper, “But, they are planning on releasing the shirt to the public pretty soon.”
“How do you know? Do you know the members or something?” Will asked sarcastically, raising an eyebrow at Nico.
Nico crossed his arms. “Actually, I do. They happen to be some of my closest friends.”
“Proof or you’re lying.”
“What are you,” Nico asked, “a third grader? I said I know and I have the shirt, so why would I lie?”
Will laughed. “I’m going to guess some sort of art major, maybe graphic design, and anyone with any art skill can make something like that.” Nico pursed his lips, dark eyes never leaving Will’s face. “So, Nico, I’m going to need a bit of proof.”
Nico shook a finger at Will. “You sound like a lawyer.”
“Not a lawyer, but hopefully a doctor.”
“I don’t like either.” Nico pulled out his phone. “But if you want proof, you’ll get proof.” Nico handed will the phone, a picture of Nico and three girls on the screen. “There I am, with Bianca, Zoë, and Thalia. Happy?”
Will’s jaw dropped. “H-how? They’re, like, so secretive and never take pictures with fans, so why would they ... ?” Nico smiled, it was closed mouthed and barely there, but Will loved it.
“Bianca’s my sister. My name is Nico di Angelo.”
“Oh.” Will stared down at the phone. “I knew that. You look just like her, only, well, shorter.”
Nico scowled. “I am not short.”
Will held up the phone. “She’s at least five inches taller than you.”
“I’m sitting!”
“So is she.” Will shrugged. “You might just have really bad posture. Looking at you, I think that’s what it is.”
Nico scoffed. “My posture is better than yours, dork.” He held out his hand, palm up. “Give me my phone.”
Will took Nico’s hand in his and brought it closer to his face. “How’d you get this?” Will traced his finger along the small, red-tinted cut.
“I was cooking and got a cut?” Nico said, wincing. He tried to pull his hand away, but Will tightened his grip. “Leave it alone.”
“I can’t. If you aren’t careful you could get it infected.” Will tilted Nico’s palm and inspected it further, pushing on the skin around the cut. “Seems be on the cusp of infection, already.”
“Damn, really?” Nico yanked his hand away, rubbing his wrist. “What do I do, Doctor Will?”
“Doctor Solace.” Will hummed and took out a sheet of paper and a pen. “Here’s what you should do. I’m going to write down a list of instructions to, hopefully, clean up that cut.” Will slid the paper towards Nico. “My number is also there. If anything gets worse you can text me.”
Nico picked it up, cheeks slightly pink. “You give your phone number to anyone with a scraped knee?”
Will shook his head, “Nah. Just the ones I’m particularly worried about.” Nico stood up and pocketed the paper, gathering his tray and trash. “Hey, Nico.”
“What?”
“It was nice to meet you. I really hope you call me.” Will took his own tray, gave Nico the Solace’s trademarked Dazzling Smile and said, “See you around.” With that, Will threw away the remainders of his lunch, and walked out of The Trash Can in a much better mood than when he entered.
Later that night, Will received a text from an unknown number. There was a picture of a poorly bandaged hand with the caption ‘Good enough, Doc? Think I’m gonna make it’
Will shook his head and replied, ‘I don’t know, think I’m going to have to come take a look ...’
‘Alright, big-shot, if you can do it better, my door’s open.’
Once Will received an address, he gathered Band-Aids and Neosporin. Doctor Solace (Will liked the sound of that a bit too much) had lives to save.

ABEO Invicta - Class Prophecy
Dropping it here so old posts don’t get read lol.
A revelation from the Higher Being, which was bestowed shows the ABEO Invicta on what must soon take place. This was made known by sending me a vision, I testify to everything I saw – the people who hear this may or may not take to heart of what is written, because the time is near.
I turned around to see the scenery that was before me. And when I turned, I saw five doors, and each door leads to different futures, the five doors are paths that each person from the ABEO Invicta chose to tread, whatever lies ahead, will have been or will not be the choices they made.
As I slowly turned the knob of the first door, I saw that there was a wide field, it was filled with countless of chances and coupons of hope, the sky was clear and blue and the ground smelled like rain kissing the grass and one can see a vivid display of a rainbow; and in there, I saw Maxine, who will realize that she has always been more than enough, and she will be able to give the life she strived for her family. In a kombong, and with her long-time lover, she adds more graffiti on the walls of Marawi, spreading love and not war! One day, she will also try her luck in Masterchef Australia, but unfortunately, be eliminated over a horrible plating. Speaking of food, Neil inherits Holy Halo, levels up his charisma and interpersonal skills, which prompts his confidence to skyrocket even more with nowhere to contain it. And then it shifted to a more, familiar face, Kirstie, her exposure with Indians brought her to a whole new world, paving the way to travels and explorations of Asian culture which she writes on her columns in a magazine but Kirstie isn’t the only one capable of swooning men of different colors, but also Rodrick! A number of them love his diction and his love for art and aesthetics. And in that magazine, the Gazette, Sittie – now Dr. Sittie Aslimah Malaco, gets featured for being a writer on her cultural heritage and is now among the highly recommended candidates for a leadership position in the MSU system and in occasion, meet-ups with Bea, a spazzer and a content writer in All-KPop, a renowned site for KPop News who rediscovers herself and tries to puzzle herself back piece by piece in a steady but secure pace. Speaking of spazzing ang rediscovering the self, MaTet stands next to her. Like Bea, she’s still getting butterflies from her KPop idols and when she’s not, she uses her incredible patience for her teaching job at a Special Ed school. And Doreen, oh our lovely goddess, Doreen, continues to not claim a man, but own them, and has been getting breaststroke lessons from them ever since. She also revolutionizes pageantry by finding a way on how to stop these events in objectifying women. She paves the way for Azrael’s two beautiful babies, by being their surrogate mother. Azra is happily married with a super hot Spanish man and lives in a beautiful bungalow located along the coast of Santorini in Greece. A beautiful surprise just like Sam’ s, wherein after graduation, a small time talent scout found her, recruited and trained her which then boomed after 10 years, with her as the face of their agency. She is also a part-time secretary at a company. Of self-discoveries and dreams, Ralph, becomes the John Green of the batch, writes melancholic but woke entries with a cigarette on hand and a glass of vodka beside beautifully disorganized drafts, in a quiet city night inside his apartment playing his indie music vibe.
After this, I went back out of the door, and proceeded to the second door, a lot of them chose to mold the minds of the next generation, the field was occupied with children looking up at several adults. Ave was one of them, an English professor at Misamis University after taking up her Masters degree, co-working with Eurey, who followed her mother’s footsteps, and finally had her first long-term boyfriend. But for Grace, a long-term boyfriend should be promoted to being a husband, and temporary kilays should be made permanent! Tiis ganda, no more! For surprises, everyone thought that Renz would become a PBA basketball player or a regular in Barangay Ligas, but he becomes an elementary teacher while simultaneously teaching them to become the next ring legend. However, some things never change, he still continues to carry his big, bloated, and heavy bag that he has been carrying since college. Another surprise is Jocel’s, she becomes a kindergarten teacher, out of curiosity on how the sociocognitive and language acquisition process happens in the human mind. Children are the perfect example for this process, and witnessing this over and over, never fails to fascinate her just like how Ate Koy continues to mold young minds in and out of the four corners of her classroom and has married with Sir Andrew, with her own beautiful kids who inherited her husband’s crazy beautiful curly hair. Ate Christine joins this group as well, she’s still the same quiet yet strict lady who is now a young school Principal that shows the children grace and simplicity. Another Ate in the field is Elaine, after a strong recommendation from the department, becomes a lecturer and then to being an English professor, by finishing her masters degree in MSU-IIT and will pursue her doctorate, where she will meet her first and last love of her life. Also in the same field is Danielle, who still swears like a traffic horn, will be bagging awards in each of h r performances, and will be a dance and acting teacher in her own studio. She still performs along with her fiance, the critically-acclaimed Sir Michael Lagura, but dedicates most of her time to nurturing potential theater actors and actresses. These eight people, carry with them the power to unfold the minds of the youth and breed their confidence.
After this, I went back out of the door, and proceeded to the third door, those who were not afraid to strongly raise their voice for the unheard, and did not take neutrality for an answer. Their field was packed with an endless queue of people, patiently waiting for their turn to pour out and throw their weight to the persons at the end of the line which I can barely see. And so I walked over to see who were there and I saw Maegan, still a very kind snowflake who also runs her own petshop, becomes an animal advocate. Beside her was Lovely, now a Pastora in a megachurch, and is giving everyone on the same field, a life-changing and anointed testimony that makes cold hearts beat again and dead dreams come alive again. AG and Ate Nikki, are along the same lines with her – both of them become even more active leaders; AG, now a journalist in the Hope Channel while simultaneously trying to finish her masters degree and Ate Nikki, now the president of CARP, travels around the country to spread their advocacies. And advocacies are only ideas not unless there is a good promoter for that, like Fritz, she continues to live up to her Moana persona as she ventures into many remote parts of Mindanao for a non-profit organization that holds educational and charitable works for environmental advocacies. Eventually, she settles down in Camiguin, where a lot of beautiful sunsets and ocean waters can be regularly seen. Contrary to beaches, I see Ate Patch, married to June, away from the city life in their quaint house with lovely cats roaming about. By way of art and writing books, as her living and advocates for destigmatizing mental illness through her works. The last in the circle is Lureva, she finds her strength and confidence once again, where she becomes the president for Gabriella, an organization for women empowerment, she uses this platform to promote feminism, and abolish patriarchal dominance.
After this, I went back out of the door, and proceeded to the fourth door, are those who chose to represent, persuade, enlighten or discourage the public interest. In the field, I immediately saw Kuya JP, a journalist and a researcher under the famous TV program, Kapuso Mo Jessica
Soho, which helped him to be more longsuffering and modest towards other people. I also saw Ate Enya, who becomes a filmmaker with a popular blog and holds online classes for aspiring filmmakers. Her first Masterclass was actually aired online a week ago. And of course, wher Ate Enya is, there is always the other half, Kuya Jzac, a spazzer, who has gone in and out of South Korea and several countries to shoot, and study pop culture for a column in Sparkling! In that same pop culture, includes Kuya Roy, a rockstar who has recently finished their second national tour and now owns a recording studio. Traveling countries have never been better, especially if they are for free! Flight attendant, Ivan, now a revolutionary artist leaves each country he flies into with mind-numbing artworks, he also still accepts commissions on making lovely Powerpoint Presentations but he can now also make Keynote and Prezi presentation. And on presentations, nobody imagined that Shaira would be the brainmother of this era’s famous cosmetic taglines, she works for Teen Vogue and gets invited to speak on seminar-workshops to train young students who are into Journalism. She occasionally asks a lot of questions in our old groupchat. Another kind of presentation is Catherine’s, where after graduation, she landed a few minor local modeling gigs, mostly for commercial products. She was then scouted by Mercator Artist and Model Management, a talent and model agency that housed some of the biggest models in the country including Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, and has since then graced the Philippine television with her doll face. She also cover songs which can be found in her Youtube channel, some of which features Zarinah. Where they get all of these gadgets, instruments, equipments and all the technicalities? Of course, none other than from Peer, who now goes around the country because he works as media advisor for a company who almost has everything, they loan and refer to him. Keanne, also works on the same company who has now become a full-time IT specialist, still wearing that chinky-eyed smile.
After this, I went back out of the door, and proceeded to the last and fifth door, in that field, are those who chose to protect and to promote the common welfare and those who have the passion to change in order for others to do great things. In the field, I only see a car, inside are a band of people you never thought we be in the same ride, behind the wheel is Zarinah, the career woman. A lawyer with a voice worthy of being a pop music royalty, she’s the first ever lawyer in history who sings her opening speeches. Impressive, right? Sitting beside her is Claire, known for her unconventional ways, a rad lawyer who fights for LGBTQIA+ rights, perhaps she is one of the most influential lawyers in the media. At the back, Sheila, former SK chairman, is now an active councillor of their city all the while actively playing volleyball leagues and sports events around Mindanao often crossing paths with multi-sport athlete veteran Lakandula who organizes more and more sports events throughout the country. Sometimes, h tries to wear pants on these events instead of his comfy shorts and casual slippers. Jolly, wins life one case at a time, putting criminals behind bars, in particular, those who continue to perpetuate misogynistic crimes. And proves to the world, or to the Universe rather, that women empowerment can also be channelled in pageantry; there’s also Mia, an angry lawyer. When she’s not walking around the court convincing people why justice should be served to the rightful, she’s in her fine house, writing fan fictions with LGBTQIA+ themes whilst tending to the needs of her eleven puppies and her wife, M. There to calm her is Jacky, who works at the Municipal Office of Bacolod LDN, finally attaining a permanent position. She still continues to change her hair color, but this time going for revolutionary colors such as neon orange, highlighter green, and mustard yellow, until such time that her hair has had enough of it and it starts to fall off her head. Not able to deal with the severity of her hair loss, she made the difficult decision to shave it all off and she decides to rock a bald head, serving mannequin realness. The most special of all the batch’s women of power was Jam, because of her love for film, she finally fulfills her dream to visit Hollywood. And as the first female chancellor of the MSU System, she advocates for animal welfare, especially for cats. She also advocates for destabilizing stigmas on mental health. This advocacy is implemented to the institute that caused for the decrease of suicide attempts. I realize that visions are given to remind us that we can choose which dreams to pursue or to reignite a dying fire. It guides us to the right path and to the right destination. It also encourages our hearts and gives us strength in every good thing we do or say. Now, is the time to take that step and make no delay.
All those, only to be jolted back from reality – in front of me, is the scenery outside of my bus’ window blindingly disappearing from my eyesight the moment I try to focus on it. And then, the road becomes familiar, other than the several infrastructures and population added. It was just like the first time I travelled here for my freshman year. And after everything, I never also would have thought that I would come back to Iligan and attend my first ABEO Alumni Homecoming party.

Chinese travel presenter who ate a bat begs the public for forgiveness amid coronavirus outbreak | Daily Mail Online
Tumblr media
A Chinese travel presenter has apologised to the public after a video of her eating a bat in 2016 went viral amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Wang Mengyun, who has gathered a massive following through her online travel show, is seen in the programme ripping apart the animal with her hands before eating it.
The three-year-old clip became widely shared on social media after the health crisis broke out in China, sparking an uproar from web users.
In a post last week, the globetrotter begged the public for forgiveness, calling herself 'ignorant'. She wrote: 'I am sorry, everyone. I should not have eaten a bat.'
Wang Mengyun is seen displaying a bat which she is about to eat in an old episode of her travel programme. The video, filmed in 2016, has drawn widespread criticism to her amid an outbreak of the novel coronavirus which has killed at least 106 and infected some 4,590
Ms Wang has gathered a massive following through her online travel show Dream Runner. The programme is released through various social media channels, gaining her millions of fans
The controversy occurred as the province of Hubei in central China is ravaged by the novel coronavirus after it first emerged in the city of Wuhan late last month.
The coronavirus has killed at least 106 people - all in China - and sickened more than 4,588 worldwide.
The intensifying outbreak has led the authorities to quarantine at least 56 million people living in central China's Hubei Province, including Wuhan, and cancel Lunar New Year festivities around the country.
The virus, which can cause pneumonia, is poorly understood. Scientists now fear it may have spread to humans from snakes or bats.
In the controversial episode, Ms Wang informed her audience that bats tasted like chickens and that their meat was very 'nutritious'. She is seen holding a bat in the show filmed in Palau
The episode then shows Ms Wang pulling the bat apart with her hands. In an apology letter last week, the influential blogger wrote: 'I am sorry, everyone. I should not have eaten a bat'
'There are so many nutrients in it,' Ms Wang said before putting part of the bat into her mouth
Ms Wang started producing her travel show, Dream Runner, five years ago.
THE KILLER VIRUS MAY HAVE COME FROM BATS, SCIENTISTS SAY
The killer coronavirus sweeping across the world may have come from bats, scientists have said.
Researchers at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the People's Liberation Army and Institut Pasteur of Shanghai came to the conclusion.
In a statement, the team said: 'The Wuhan coronavirus' natural host could be bats… but between bats and humans there may be an unknown intermediate.
Tests of the virus, which has yet to be named, have revealed it targets a protein called ACE2 – just like its cousin SARS, the South China Morning Post reported.
Tracing the evolution of the virus, the team of experts found it belonged to betacoronavirus, making it structurally similar to SARS.
Authorities have pointed the blame on food markets in Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak that scientists are scrambling to contain.
Rodents and bats among other animals are slaughtered and sold in traditional 'wet markets', which tourists flock to see the 'real' side of the country.
The programme is released through various social media channels, including YouTube, Weibo and Douyin, gaining her millions of fans.
In 2018, Ms Wang, who was then 28, was selected as one of the 30 most successful Chinese entrepreneurs under the age of 30 by Forbes.
The episode that drew her widespread criticism was filmed in Palau, an island country located in the western Pacific Ocean, and broadcast in 2016, Ms Wang said.
She ate bat soup in order to introduce the local lifestyle to the audience and the soup was a 'common dish' for the locals, the presenter explained in an apology letter posted last Wednesday.
In the viral video, Ms Wang can be seen holding what she called a fruit bat in her hand.
She described of the soup: 'The soup we just had was very delicious and had a fruity flavour.'
She then held the bat closer to the camera and gushed: 'Doesn't it look like a mini wolfdog?'
Afterwards, she informed her audience that bats tasted like chickens and that their meat was very 'nutritious'.
At last, she started to tear the bat apart with her hands, dipped part of it in a sauce and then put it into her mouth.
'There are so many nutrients in it,' she said before eating the dish.
While the video has brought her waves of criticism, some of her supporters argued that trying out new things was part of the presenter's job. Ms Wang published an apology letter on January 22 on her Weibo account. But the post has been removed for unspecified reasons
The video was dug up by Chinese web users and shared online after the nation was rocked by the coronavirus outbreak.
Many web users condemned Ms Wang for eating exotic animals.
One such person said: 'Even if it is a local specialty, how could you eat it? [You] dare to eat anything.'
Another Weibo user wrote: 'I cannot understand why she wanted to eat that.'
There were also supporters, such as one fan who argued: 'She is a travel blogger. This is her job. Whatever you don't recognise is not necessarily wrong.'
Faced with the outrage, Ms Wang published an apology letter on January 22 on her Weibo account, which is followed by 2.2 million people. However, the post has since been taken down for unspecified reasons.
THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS OF CORONAVIRUS
Russia has closed its border with China in the east, in the regions of Jewish Autonomous Oblast, Khabarovsk and Amur
Hong Kong will halve the number of flights to mainland China and stop its high-speed rail service and ferries. It has urged citizens to return home from the mainland and stay at home for 14 days
Japan has declared its first case of coronavirus in someone with no connection to Wuhan
More than 500,000 South Koreans have signed a petition calling for travellers from China to be turned away at the border
Japan, South Korea and France have all planned charter flights to pull their citizens out of Wuhan later this week
World Health Organization chief, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said he was happy with China's efforts to contain the outbreak after visiting with politicians in Beijing yesterday. He urged the world to stay calm
In the letter, Ms Wang claimed to be a victim of online trolls following the outbreak because 'there was not so much footage of eating wildlife online'.
She said that the programme was recorded long before the emergence of the coronavirus and she was not aware of the risks of eating bats at the time.
'When I filmed the video, I honestly did not know there would be a virus. My ignorance is to blame.'
She added that the bat she ate was from a farm, not the wild, adding 'many countries in the world eat [bat soup], it is a daily dish'.
Ms Wang's video appeared online at the same time videos purporting to show Chinese diners eating bat soup went viral.
Viral footage purports to show a fashionable Chinese young woman biting one of the wings of a cooked bat at a fancy restaurant. The deadly coronavirus could come from the animal
Pictures emerging on Twitter shows soup cooked with a bat. Bats are used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat a series of illness, including coughing, malaria and gonorrhea
One clip appears to show a Chinese woman eating a whole bat at a fancy restaurant while another video seemly shows Cantonese-speaking diners preparing to eat soup made with the nocturnal animal.
MailOnline cannot independently verify the clips.
Bats are used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat a series of illnesses, including coughing, malaria and gonorrhea.
The animal's faeces is also believed to be able to cure eye diseases, according to ancient Chinese medical masterpiece Ben Cao Gang Mu.
The deadly Chinese coronavirus outbreak began at a wholesale animal market in Wuhan city, experts have confirmed.
Scientists from the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention said tests proved humans caught it from animals at the Huanan Seafood Wholesales Market.
It is not clear which animal was carrying the pneumonia-like illness but the market was home to stalls trading dozens of different species, including rats and wolf cubs.
The coronavirus epidemic has killed at least 106 people - all in China - and sickened more than 4,585 worldwide as of today. In the picture above, a medical worker (right) rests in a chair next to a patient at a hospital in Wuhan in central China's Hubei Province on January 23
