I'm gonna write a lil piece for the image of Togo returning from final selection just because. I love my parents.

Sanemi was sure that Togo should have been back by now. Mount Fujikasane wasn't that far away... At least he hoped so. He busied himself by swinging the practice sword, wanting to take his mind off of any possible negative thoughts. Togo would be fine.

Well, it'd help if Mitsuri wasn't sitting on the engawa, tapping her feet against the floor intensely, hands clasped together as she waited. He doesn't blame his wife—he's still not getting used to calling Mitsuri this, by the way—she's just as equally worried as he is. She's been like this the entire week, it had just amplified the closer the week ended.

Sanemi exhaled, lowering his sword and walking over to Mitsuri. She didn't notice him at first, she was probably too busy in her own thoughts to do so.

"Mits." he called softly, placing a hand on her shoulder. She flinched at the touch, blinking. She looked up at Sanemi, as if finally snapping out of a trance.

"Nemi..."

"She'll be fine. Come on. We both trained her." he assured her, even though it sounded shaky, too. Mitsuri nodded shakily, getting back up to her feet.

"You're right... Y-Yeah, you're right!" she nodded, a hesitant smile on her face. Sanemi's gaze softened at that. She was trying so hard to be enthusiastic about Togo's return. He nodded,, carefully squeezing her hand to reassure her.

"I'll get some ohagis and sakura mochi ready! She'll be so hungry when she comes back, I'm sure!" she suggested, already heading back inside their Estate. Sanemi nodded, letting his hand fall to his side, a silence filling the area and an uncertainty settling in his mind. When Togo came back. He was holding onto those words as he slowly walked back to his spot, beginning to swing the practice sword yet again. He'd be waiting for her. Just like Mitsuri and their crows.

The sound of dirt crunching under shoes reached Sanemi's ears. He'd been back from patrol just a few seconds ago, and he was ready to peace out and knock himself into the world of slumber after putting his things in his and Mitsuri's room.

Slowly, he turned his head, seeing a familiar blob of black and purple, as well as the distant sight of Kanae's butterfly hairpin approach. His eyes widened slowly, seeing Togo slowly approach the Estate, a worn-out expression on her face. She was covered in dirt from head to toe, bags under her eyes, and her steps were unsteady. But she was still smiling, just like her mother.

"Togo..." he whispered, dropping everything in his grasp and running to her as Sorai cawed in joy, probably alerting Mitsuri. She squeaked as his arms wrapped around her, hugging her tight.

"Dad?? What's wrong??" she asked, confused.

"You're back..." he whispered, taking a deep breath, trying to steady himself. Though he could feel a few tears beginning to slip.

"Hehe, of course I am!" she beamed "I'm not gonna die so easily!"

"TOGOOOOOO!" Mitsuri cried out as she came charging at them, arms open for her strong bear hugs. Togo tried to dodge it, but both her and her dad fell victim to it.

"I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE OKAAAAY!" she sobbed, bawling her eyes out like a baby.

"Mama... My ribs..." the child wheezed out, shakily patting her mom on the back. Mitsuri's hug loosened, but it didn't take away the fact that she was crying of joy.

"WELCOME BAAAACK!" the Love Hashira cried with a big smile. Sanemi huffed.

"Welcome back, shortstack." he mumbled. Togo smiled at that, her tired eyes glinting with the joy of returning home to a happy family, a few tears stinging in her eyes.

"I'm back..."

As a Birthday Treat to myself I bought an old sealed box of Spider-Man 3 cards from 2007. It was pretty expensive and I felt a little silly but…whatever, it’s a treat!

Even though you get 2 autographed cards per box, the vast majority are for super minor characters. Like characters that don’t even have actual names outside of “violinist” and “garbage man”… but whatever. I love the trilogy so even if I didn’t get anything “good” it would still be a little gambling game where I at least have a bunch of dorky cards to show for it!

Ideally I’d want Willem’s card because. He’s him. BUT if it didn’t happen that would be fine. I have other autographs of his and it would be cheaper to buy his card outright anyway lol. I wouldn’t really “make” money on buying this box unless I pulled some crazy high rarity like Tobey Maguire which sells for like $2k now and was no way happening lmao. It’s not really about the value, it’s about the fun and the mystery about what I would get! :D

Sure enough the first autograph I pulled was the Subway Guitarist. Fun! Expected. I enjoy his little diddy in the first movie. We SHOULD all just give Spider-Man one big hug, he was so right.

Surprised to pull one of the autographs on only the 2nd pack in the 40 pack box. Stopped pulling from the top and picked a random pack out of the middle and saw the edge of another autograph card. I didn’t want to look because this was only pack #5/40, and it would kind of suck getting my two autographs so quickly and know nothing better was waiting in the box. 😔

But uh……….Autograph #2!!!

Happy birthday to me indeed!! I feel so ridiculously lucky, like it makes me nervous sdjfk 😭 but this is so awesome, he has been FREED after almost 17 years in storage!!!

so this is the other (half of the) deleted scene from the trolley problem. they clarify in the foreword that drew made all this up, but even that raises....SO much to think about

in the episode i think you can follow what he's saying up to about "she'd definitely been crying." i always thought he was describing (a version of) how ellie tried to reconnect with him. and i mean, maybe he is, up to that point

but the whole story seems pretty clearly calculated to win blake's sympathy as a fellow ""victim"" of ""false accusations"" – even setting up that the accuser has pre-existing emotional problems, to remind him of ellie. drew's putting himself in blake's shoes

also making up a situation where he gets handcuffed and manhandled by cops, which is very reececore of him

god also. "there should've been safeguarding in place to prevent all of this." he's talking about the story. he's talking about himself and ellie. he's talking about himself and drew. "ALL of this." raugfhh rghgh

I, like many others, had a like for drawing since the young age, though i got actually invested in it, digital and stuff, only in the last 4-5 years or so. but you ofc can say that I've been picking up crumbs here and there throughout my whole life so far.

im not rly a gom focused guy (no one is surprised) so i dont really go gaga for most ships but i like kise centricism... especially aokisekaga... finally a not rarepair (almost) i do prefere kagakise over aokise but they are my top gom ships i guess
