like, I am happy for my country and the genuine joy that people around me have felt throughout this world cup has been a balm for the soul. it feels silly to say because logically this is just a sport and there are so many more serious things happening in the world rn, but it has honestly felt like the country came together behind the national team, more so than in previous years. it has been wonderful to experience.

and yet. I still couldn't bring myself to actually watch the game, it's just so boring is the thing. but the vibes, the gees, oh ! the gees has been excellent !!
