I have officially typed the first twenty pages of The Realms of the Unreal.

It translates to thirty-two 8×11 pages of size 12 Georgia with 1.5 spacing and .6 margins (I couldn't decide between .5 and 75).

At this rate, I estimate that this volume alone will balloon from its current approximately 630 pages, to well over a thousand. Even after a basic cleanup (because I'm not paying attention to typing, I'm just transcribing and it's messy), I can't assume it would make that much difference. Anyway, you can follow my progress on Ao3. I don't know what's coming, so presently, I've set it to registered users only.

But when you leave the gas station bathroom, you see that you're in a McDonald's now, and when you leave the McDonald's you see that everything has been replaced with a McDonald's, and you have been lost to the Endless Realm of Eternal McDonald's.

Okay, unexpected side effect

So, remember back in like December/January when I was posting about working on Darger?

Well, a handful of those posts keep getting attention and I feel pressure to prematurely return to that project. Y'all, I don't think you understand (which is okay, I didn't really mention).

I was partially working on Darger because of interest, but I only got around to it because I have SAD, but not bad enough to want to sleep, only bad enough to get through the day at work and have no brain power left to create. I will most likely get back to it and fic-binding next sad season.

So yeah, singlehandedly, I am not transcribing Darger into plain text in my lifetime. It took him thirty years to come up with and transcribe down and its easily hundreds of thousands of plain text pages. I just have way more fun using my own imagination and ingenuity.
