got an ekg and peed in two cups today <3 also apparently the labs i had on thursday are mostly back and are good!!
set up consultation with treatment place and got confirmation about my consultation with another one taking place tmrw!!
also updated my dad about treatment and acknowledged my ed to him for the first time and it went well!! he’s not mad at me and doesn’t think i’m selfish and horrible (or at least did not act like it today)
i don’t want to upset him but i was also very afraid he’d upset me
food has been pretty good today accept when he was there. he saw me eat other stuff but went to get my brother mexican food and brought sangria and he took out tortilla chips for me to pick at the rice and beans and didn’t force me to eat but kinda pushed it over to me. those are definitely foods i’m not ready for yet and i was uncomfortable but ik he meant well!! i just didn’t want them to cause a spiral even though i wanted to eat them. didn’t have any of the sangria either even tho i said i’d have a little i just didn’t want it bc i was worried i’d upset me later..
i have eaten a decent amount today so far and spontaneously which is good! plus my built bars came in which i’m so excited about!

I'm sure a lot of you are stressed right now because of all the holiday food, but I wanted to remind you that calories are nothing more than a unit of energy for our bodies. If you're still seeing them as something that contributes to your weight, that's okay. But I would encourage you to try and look at it this way:
Your phone needs to be charged. Whether you charge it every night, or only when the battery is almost dead, it still needs to be charged, regardless. You wouldn't deprive your phone of less energy because you felt it didn't deserve it, would you? Or you wouldn't get mad at it for needing more energy, would you? Probably not, because it's an electronic device that simply needs to be charged to function. Your body is the same. Of course it's not as simple as a phone needing to be charged, but in recovery, no matter where you are, sometimes you need to simplify things. I've been in recovery for about a year now, and even though that's not a huge amount of time, I still find myself needing to break things down to make it easier not to engage in disordered behaviors.
You can take control over your disorder. You're strong.
If you need help, someone to talk to, or advice, please don't hesitate to send me a message or an ask! I'm here for you all <3 Happy New Year!

Healing Childhood Trauma: Embracing Step Ten for Personal Growth
Through Step Ten, we reclaim our rights to life and happiness. It prompts us to courageously look at our actions and motives, ensuring authenticity in our relationships and self-development. This isn't about perfection; it's about progress.
“We have ‘stuffed’ our feelings from our traumatic childhoods and have lost the ability to feel or express our feelings because it hurts so much (Denial).” BRB p. 17 If we came to ACA from another program and were familiar with Step work, we may have felt we had covered all of this ground before. We knew how to speak “program talk,” and our lives were already better, right? So why were these…

Question- is it attention seeking how I am feeling since I don’t have a specific plan? I just don’t know if I should tell someone or just keep it to myself and hope it goes away. I don’t want to bother anyone ya know? I am having suicidal thoughts and I keep crying but part of me doesn’t even want to die. I am very confused. Idk how to explain how I feel. It doesn’t make sense. Is it attention seeking if I tell someone? I hate this. I am safe though! I do not have a plan. I just want the thoughts to stop

yesterday got better
had weird too personal convos with my mom while she was drunk
ate less than the day before but i was happy i pushed passed on the anxiety about what to eat and ate anyway!
plus i was less stressed about eating at work!
i also fell asleep earlier and had less trouble today instead of staying up thinking about what to eat!
it’s definitely good for me to work on not planning and just eating what I want to eat in that moment!
hopefully today goes good bc I don’t have to do any planning bc im not working today… but i hope i don’t get overwhelmed or worried about overeating
