Carlotta "Carla" Vasquez
named Carlotta after the Phantom of the Opera character and Vasquez after Maria in West Side Story. She's an aspiring actress and has spent her entire life in dance and voice lessons and doing community theatre.
She and Rachel have known each other forever because of this, and were in countless dance & voice classes together and competitions against each other, and Rachel has been bullying her since they were little kids.
At 13, after Rachel did something to completely humiliate her at a competition (ripped seams out of her costume so it fell apart onstage, also put gum in her hair so she had to cut a lot of it off), Carla had a severe breakdown. She switched to a new dance studio, where she befriended Mike Chang and Brittany pierce, but her parents also moved to Akron to give her a fresh start. Everything was great, she was happy, no one knew about the worst moment of her life. She starts high school, becomes a cheerleader, gets recruited into Vocal Adrenaline by Jesse St James himself, and he and Shelby start preparing her to be the new female lead. She got a solo at nationals. Everything was perfect.
But then, because of something with one of her parents' jobs, they have to move back to Lima. Thankfully no one seems to remember her, except for Rachel Berry, and Carla is able to protect herself by joining the cheerios – the only club in school safe from Rachel Berry. Everything is fine. Thanks to Mike and Brittany, Carla is adopted into the Unholy Trinity and has the combined protection of the cheerios and titans, and she's finally starting to breathe again
Until Sue Sylvester decides that her four stars are going to prove their loyalty (and stay on the cheerios) by spying on the New Directions. Rachel Berry's ego club. And Carla might be a nationally winning show choir star, but Rachel is no more willing to share the spotlight than she was when they were 13

Abolitionist and women's rights activist Sojourner Truth (c 1797-1883).
In May 1851, Truth delivered an improvised speech at the Ohio Women's Rights Convention in Akron that would come to be known as "Ain't I a Woman?" The first version of the speech was published a month later by Marius Robinson, editor of Ohio newspaper The Anti-Slavery Bugle, who had attended the convention and recorded Truth's words himself. It did not include the question "Ain't I a woman?" even once.
"Then that little man in Black there, he says women can't have as much rights as men, 'cause Christ wasn't a woman! Where did your Christ come from? Where did your Christ come from? From God and a woman! Man had nothing to do with Him.
"If the first woman God ever made was strong enough to turn the world upside down all alone, these women together ought to be able to turn it back, and get it right side up again! And now they is asking to do it, the men better let them." —Sojourner Truth
Truth was born into slavery but escaped with her infant daughter to freedom in 1826. She devoted her life to the abolitionist cause and helped to recruit Black troops for the Union Army. Although Truth began her career as an abolitionist, the reform causes she sponsored were broad and varied, including prison reform, property rights and universal suffrage.

Sojourner Truth (Isabella [Belle] Baumfree; November 18, 1797 – November 26, 1883) was an African American abolitionist and women’s rights activist. She was born enslaved in Swartekill, Ulster County, NY, but escaped with her infant daughter to freedom in 1826. After going to court to recover her son in 1828, she became the first African American woman to win such a case against a white man.
She gave herself the name Sojourner Truth in 1843 after she became convinced that God had called her to leave the city and go into the countryside “testifying the hope that was in her”. Her best-known speech was delivered extemporaneously, in 1851, at the Ohio Women’s Rights Convention in Akron. The speech became widely known during the Civil War by the title “Ain’t I a Woman?,” a variation of the original speech re-written by someone else using a stereotypical Southern dialect, whereas She was from New York and grew up speaking Dutch as her first language. During the Civil War, she helped recruit African American troops for the Union Army; after the war, she tried unsuccessfully to secure land grants from the federal government for the former enslaved.
In 2014, She was included in Smithsonian magazine’s list of the “100 Most Significant Americans of All Time”.
She married an older enslaved man named Thomas. She bore five children: James, her firstborn, who died in childhood; Diana (1815), the result of a rape by John Dumont; and Peter (1821), Elizabeth (1825), and Sophia (1826), all born after she and Thomas united. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

Nation Cruelly Reminded of Existence of Tulsi Gabbard
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (The Borowitz Report)—Millions of Americans were reportedly furious on Tuesday after being cruelly reminded of Tulsi Gabbard’s existence.
While millions more struggled to remember who Gabbard was, those who could place her were irate that Donald J. Trump had chosen to jog their memory in such a brutal manner.
“Trump has done a lot of horrible things, like separating families at the border and botching the response to the pandemic,” said Tracy Klugian, a resident of Topeka, Kansas. “But reminding me that Tulsi Gabbard roams the Earth might be the most unforgivable.”
“Bringing back memories of Tulsi Gabbard tells you all you need to know about Donald Trump,” said Carol Foyler of Portland, Maine. “The man is a sadist.”
Harland Dorrinson of Akron, Ohio wondered why Trump would recruit Gabbard for his transition team, remarking, “Maybe she’s there to make RFK Jr. look sane.”

This is the 'official' schedule of Tim Walz today on the campaign trail. With additional details for press purposes. Additionally, the governor is traveling with the Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg on this trip. This will help him gain valuable insights into the region while traveling and meeting with voters.
Governor Walz is taking part in three events across the Buckeye State. The Harris-Walz campaign is highly invested in the region, as we know there are many policies on our platform that Ohioans feel do harm to their state. Cleveland, OH Governor Walz and Secretary Buttigieg are kicking off a Get Out the Vote event for Cleveland on the Cleveland State University campus. Both will make remarks to a student audience before starting door knocking on-campus. Other volunteers will be out in various Cleveland neighborhoods. Additionally, dinner and refreshments will be provided for student leaders and faculty senate from 21:00 to 22:00. Many of selfies will be taken and we will be recruiting student social media ambassadors.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio’s governor and lieutenant governor have been drawn into a FirstEnergy Corp. investors lawsuit connected to the $60 million bribery scheme concocted by the Akron-based energy giant and a now-incarcerated House speaker.
Republican Gov. Mike DeWine received a subpoena for documents in the case dated Nov. 17, according to a copy provided to The Associated Press by his office on Tuesday and first reported by cleveland.com. His spokesperson, Dan Tierney, said the governor’s lawyers are reviewing the order.
It seeks any communications DeWine might have had with FirstEnergy, executives named in the lawsuit or Sam Randazzo, the state’s former top utility regulator, that related to former House Speaker Larry Householder’s efforts to secure power, to the tainted $1 billion nuclear bailout legislation Householder championed in exchange for the bribes, and to a host of other related topics.

Lt. Gov. Jon Husted, also a Republican, received a similar subpoena on the same date — and, according to a court filing Monday, is scheduled to be deposed in the case sometime between Feb. 28 and March 19.

“We’re aware of the civil investor lawsuit against FirstEnergy,” Husted spokesperson Hayley Carducci said in an email. “The Lt. Governor has already provided public records pertaining to this, and we will continue to comply as we have done in the past. There’s no new information to disclose.”
The civil lawsuit is distinct from a separate, ongoing criminal case, in which Householder, lobbyist Matt Borges and two others have been convicted. A fifth man charged died by suicide in 2021. Householder was sentenced to 20 years in prison, and Borges received five.
Tierney said no one in the DeWine administration has ever been subpoenaed or identified as under investigation in the criminal probe.
Nor has Randazzo, the governor’s pick for the powerful chairmanship of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, whose Columbus townhome was searched by the FBI in November 2020.

As chair of the commission, Randazzo held immense sway over the fortunes of FirstEnergy and other investor-owned utilities.
During his confirmation hearing for the job, he testified before a state Senate committee that he was asked before DeWine and Husted took office on Jan. 14, 2019, to forgo plans to retire to Naples, Florida, where he owned an expensive waterfront home, and to return to government at the utility commission.
He specified during the confirmation hearing that Husted and Laurel Dawson, DeWine’s then-chief of staff, were among those who helped recruit him. DeWine disregarded cries of alarm from consumer and environmental advocates at the time, as well as pleas from GOP insiders concerned about Randazzo’s selection, the AP first reported in December 2020.
When he was Ohio House speaker in 2007, Husted appointed Randazzo to the Public Utilities Commission Nominating Council and the two were allies in thwarting renewable and alternative energy mandates proposed by then-Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland and opposed by a coalition of utilities led by FirstEnergy.

In the mid 1800’s the suffragettes started fighting for women’s rights to vote. This all started because women weren’t valued as highly as men and therefore didn’t have equal rights to them. For example women had give all their money to their husbands and weren’t allowed to own their own property. Women became more angry about this and started to fight back.

Seneca Falls Convention
The first convention regarding women’s rights was organised by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott. It attracted over 300 women that all agreed that they need to be treated better and given the same opportunities as men within education and work. They ended up signing the Declaration of Sentiments and Grievences that stated that women should be treated equally to men.
After this Stanton formed the National Women suffrage association. The group managed to recruit 90 women in the following year. And they decided to send a letter to the US senate asking to speak to the congress about women’s rights. Their request was refused.
Sojourner Truth
Around 1797 Isabelle Bomfree was born an enslaved person. She managed to run away when she was 20 and she found a family that didn’t agree with slavery. This gave her freedom and allowed he to find her faith. She decided to change her name after this to Sojourner Truth to reflect her passion for fighting for equality. She spoke out against slavery and women’s rights and she managed to gain respect of many because of how good her speeches were even though she couldn’t read or write. Her most famous speech was titled ‘Ain’t I a woman’ which she performed at the women’s rights convention in Akron when white men tried to take over the convention. She was the only women who spoke that had also been personally impacted by slavery.

The suffragettes started to gain more support at time went on however the biggest challenges faced was by black women. This was because not only were they fighting for gender equality they also needed to fight against racism. A lot of black women struggled to get their voices heard. However in 1869 Charlotte Rollin managed to speak in front of the House of Representatives about how important it was for everyone to have the right to vote. She also wrote an article that said :
“We ask suffrage not as a favor, not as a privilege, but as a right based on the grounds that we are human beings and as such entitled to all human rights”

1. Manhunt
Another late night at your desk in your townhouse, staring at papers, broke upon you. You sipped on your glass of whiskey before setting it down and going over the evidence one more time. Your mother came into the little office every hour or so, checking on you and offering you food. But it was hard to even think about swallowing anything as you looked at the gruesome pictures in front of you.
Your phone rang and you picked it up like a reflex after the first ring, the clock on the wall telling you it was shortly after 1am.
“Agent Heller,” you said, recognizing the caller ID of the bureau. “Yes, sir, on my way now.”
You got up from your chair, emptied your glass of whiskey, and threw your suit jacket over your shoulders. Before you could rush out the front door, your mom peeked down from the top of the stairs with the same worried look she always had when you went out for another job.
“Be careful, honey,” she meekly called to you.
“Always am, Mom. Hold the fort down while I’m gone,” you said with a wink, closing the wooden door behind you, and ran down the stone steps to your Chevrolet Suburban.
You’ve been an agent for the better part of a decade. Being home was rare for you. Even rarer was being relaxed and home. That barely ever happened. You had a habit of taking your cases home with you, and as a shrink, you knew better than anyone that you weren’t leading the most healthy lifestyle.
You studied psychology and minored in criminology at Columbia before the bureau recruited you into the Academy. Quantico was your home at this point. You worked in the Behavioral Analysis Unit as a rookie agent before moving to Major Crimes. Everyone you worked with knew you were the best profiler in the country, and you had caught a lot of assholes over the last few years.
You had just gotten home from your last successful assignment, arresting a serial killer you’d been after for years. He had killed five prostitutes in a span of three years – nothing special in the realm of serial killers. You’ve seen worse. Still, another psycho was rotting in jail, thanks to you.
You were supposed to have the week off, but when your boss called with another lead to a case of yours, you knew you had to jump. You had been working for twelve years to finally catch these killers but never got a breakthrough. You’ve been close a few times, but inexplicably, they always managed to get away just in time.
You drove all night to Ohio, booking the closest motel room, and got the boxes of case files out of your trunk, placing them down on the little dining table. You were sick and tired of chasing these guys. They were probably the worst serial killers you’ve had ever seen, leaving a trail of crimes behind, spanning almost their whole lives. A mixture of Bundy and Manson. There was no clear pattern in their murder sprees; each time was different, leaving you with little to go on.
This time, they were seen in Akron, Ohio, and you were more than determined to get them. Dead or alive. The murder sprees needed to end. You wouldn’t let more innocent people die. You wanted to make the world a safer place.
You opened one of the files and your eyes narrowed at the sight of their mugshots. Sam and Dean Winchester – the most dangerous and cruel killers you’ve ever encountered.
At this point, it was more than just a case for you. It was downright personal.

You reviewed the case files for the rest of the day, trying to get a clear picture of what was happening here. Yesterday, the Winchester brothers were seen in Akron, attending a pie festival of all things, telling you just how sick and twisted they truly were. Afterward, a couple of children were kidnapped from their home, their mother’s tongue was cut out, and the father was stabbed and drained of all his blood.
Another cruel and senseless crime committed by these monsters. Right now, you just hoped the children were still alive; you would do everything in your power to save them.
In the evening, you visited the local bar, needing a stiff drink after looking at victims’ photos all day, knowing how easily this job could make you an alcoholic.
Your phone then rang in your jeans pocket, and you sighed at the caller ID, picking up with an “I’m sorry.”
“You forgot,” it huffed on the other line.
“No, no, no… well, yes. Yeah, I did. I’m sorry, Andrew,” you apologized, feeling guilty. This wasn’t the first time you forgot about a date night. You’ve only been seeing him for three weeks and had managed to screw up five times already.
A deep sigh could be heard through the phone. “It’s alright. How long do you need to get ready?”
“Oh, uh, I’m actually in Ohio right now. See, they got another lead on this case I’ve been working on for forever… it’s a big thing. I know they’re here. I can feel it in my gut,” you told him adamantly as you sat at the bar counter, nursing your drink. You were like a dog with a bone.
“Unbelievable,” he scoffed.
“Andrew, I’m really sorry. Raincheck?” you offered hopefully. Still, you flagged down the bartender to get you another drink, knowing this conversation wouldn’t end well.
“You know what, Y/N? I tried. But I think we should call time of death on this relationship. I’m sorry,” he said sternly, hanging up on you for good.
You pocketed your phone again and pursed your lips before emptying your freshly refilled glass. Another relationship down the drain.
One thing you learned in all these years: having a relationship and being good at your job were mutually exclusive. You had tried it before, even settled down. You married a federal prosecutor who had worked with you for five years before you tied the knot. You enjoyed a great partnership with him, putting several criminals behind bars. You had hoped that partnership would hold up in private as well – you had barely reached two years before getting divorced again.
He had called you a coldhearted workaholic. But he had been a workaholic, too. You thought that’s what you both had in common. Judging by his new fiancé, a blonde bimbo with a cooking show, he wanted a trophy wife. And that just wasn’t you.
Now, he was a district attorney in Maryland and about to get married while you were barely able to hold down a relationship for longer than a month and shared a townhouse in DC with your mother. Your job just always took priority over everything else in your life.
You figured your day couldn’t get any worse when some random guy decided to hit on you.
“Hey, you look like you had a bad day. Mind if I make it a little better and buy you a drink?” a deep, husky voice asked from behind you. You watched in your peripheral as the guy leaned casually against the counter.
You were about to tear this guy a new one when you glanced up from your drink at him. Green eyes, flannel, shit-eating grin. Dean Winchester. The color drained from your cheeks in seconds as you stared up at the man in front of you.
You quickly turned away from him, taking a big sip from your whiskey. “No, thanks. I’m good, pal,” you muttered. Apparently, now you attracted serial killers as your only mating option. Your life couldn’t go any better. God, you were a mess.
“Oh, c’mon, sweetheart. One drink, and if you don’t like me by then, I’ll go,” he offered you with a smirk. You knew from your research that the guy hit on anything with two boobs. It wasn’t particularly flattering to be chosen as a killer’s next hook-up.
You let out a sinister laugh, pulled out your badge from your leather jacket, and held it up to his face. “That’s Agent Sweetheart for you. And if you don’t go-,” you pushed your jacket to the side, revealing your gun underneath it before you gently removed the safety, “I’ll pull.”
“Whoa, okay,” he chuckled nervously, holding his hands up in surrender. “You’re FBI. I can respect that. How about I leave you alone for forever and you tuck that gun away again, okay?”
“Deal,” you told him dryly, watching him retreat back to the far end of the bar.
You pulled out your phone, opened the camera, putting it into selfie mode. You wouldn’t let them out of your sight now that you had them. In the faraway corner booth sat Sam Winchester, slumped over a couple of newspapers. His older brother walked back over to him, probably informing him of your presence.
It was a dumb move to show your badge, but sometimes it was hard to resist, letting all that anger that had accumulated over the last twelve years cloud your judgment. They didn’t know you were onto them, but you knew the brothers were also avoiding the law like the plague.
The Winchesters exchanged a few words before abruptly leaving the bar. You finished your third drink and followed them inconspicuously, deciding to trail them in case they made a run for it again.
They had ironically set up in the same motel you had, the shiny black Impala parked in the parking lot out front. You waited in your SUV for a couple of hours, watching their motel room until the lights went dark. When you were sure they were asleep, you snuck over to the classic black beauty and placed a tracker there.
All you had to do now was wait and see, but you were more than sure they wouldn’t get far this time. Not on your watch.

The next day, the Winchesters dressed up in suits and ties, visiting the family’s home that had been ravaged by monsters. The house was sealed off with yellow police tape as officers moved around the crime scene. The brothers held up their badges to another detective before entering the home.
“Singer and Kripke, FBI,” Sam said, flashing his badge.
“FBI? Your colleague was already here,” the officer frowned, and the brothers shared a look. It could only be the FBI agent they had run into yesterday at the bar.
“Let me guess – pretty, feisty, angry look on her face?” Dean mused with a chuckle, remembering the woman he had tried to hit on.
“That’s her,” the officer scoffed, “Told me to get outta her way or retire. You federal agents always think you’re better than us, but I’m doing good and honest police work here.”
“I’m sure you are, sir,” Dean apologized, switching on his charm. “I’m sorry for my colleague. She’s had a… rough night.”
The cop mumbled a few more choice words before disappearing out of sight again.
“You think she recognized us?” Sam whispered to his older brother.
Dean shrugged, shaking his head, “Nah, I think we’re good.”
“I’m just sayin’, we need to be careful, Dean,” Sam warned. “We don’t have Chuck around to protect us anymore.”
“Yeah, and that’s a damn good thing, remember?” Dean scoffed in response. “‘Sides, what’s he got to do with anything?”
“Well, he put luck on our side. You really thought us not getting caught all these years wasn’t on him?” Sam cocked an eyebrow at his brother.
“Never thought about that, actually. Figured it was my good looks and genius that kept us going for so long,” Dean smirked, earning him a frown.
“Dean, we need to be-”
“Careful,” he finished with an eye roll. “Yeah, you said that already. Multiple times. And we will. We solve this case, kill the monsters, and then back to the bunker we go. But c’mon, man! This is the first case in weeks. I’m starting to get bored.”
“Alright, fine. In and out,” Sam reiterated.
The brothers learned everything they needed to know before leaving the crime scene again. It was vampires, the victim’s drained blood giving them their final clue. Moreover, this quickly turned into a familiar case, John’s journal revealing a similar crime spree in the same town in the 80s. If the pattern held up, the little town of Canton, Ohio, would be next on the vamps’ list.
Sam and Dean then identified the next victims’ home that fit the previous pattern. The target house was located on the outskirts of town with two children living inside, no older than ten. Soon enough, they were proven right when a black van pulled up, and two people with black skeleton masks jumped out, both carrying blades.
Before the men could enter the house, Dean cut off the head of one of them with his machete. Sam then turned the attention of the second vamp to him and shot him in the leg and head with bullets full of dead man’s blood.
The brothers moved the unconscious body quickly away from the house and a little further into the woods. There were still two missing children out there – nothing a little torture couldn’t fix.
They tied the vamp’s hands behind his back, placing him down on a tree stump before Dean woke him up with a slap to the guy’s cheek. “Hey there, sleepy.”
“What'd you hit me with?” the vampire asked, still partially out from the poison coursing through his body.
“Oh, it speaks. Not a mime. Still evil, though,” Dean muttered.
“It was a bullet… soaked in dead man's blood,” Sam replied with a sly smile on his face.
“So, let's talk kids, hm?” Dean suggested, the machete ready in his hand, waiting to strike. “Those two that you grabbed a couple nights ago... Where are they?”
But the vampire laughed in his face fearlessly, clearly not caring about the oldest Winchester’s empty threats.
“Yeah, you really should tell him,” Sam advised the vamp knowingly, chuckling.
The monster stared between the brothers, contemplating for a second. “And if I do, what? You let me go?”
“Oh, no, no, no, no, no. No,” Dean shook his head vehemently. “This isn't a you-walk-out-of-here kind of a situation. But see, if you tell us quick, you get this.” He held up the shiny silver machete for the vamp to see. “But if you take your time, you get, uh... you get that.” He then gestured to Sam, who pulled out a tiny switchblade from his pocket.
“Yeah, I'll... I'll take that itty-bitty one,” the vamp retorted.
“That's a bad choice,” Sam stated.
“You see, this… this is quick,” Dean stated, showing the guy his machete again. “It’s clean. You know, no muss, no fuss. You blink, and you're dead.”
“But a blade this small-,” Sam continued to explain. “I'm gonna have to keep sawing and sawing to get your head off, and you'll feel it. Every muscle, tendon, every inch. It could take hours.”
Dean then leaned in a little closer to the vampire, “Oh, and if those kids are dead, he's gonna use a spoon.”
The guy looked nervously at the little blade in Sam’s hands before glancing back at Dean. “They… they're not dead. They're with the nest. We take a harvest. Every few years, grab a couple kids, raise them up, feed them right, juice them. We don't do fast food,” the vamp explained.
“Yeah, alright. Where are they?” Sam inquired.
“Barn, east outside of town,” the vampire replied compliantly before a laugh escaped his lips.
“What’s so funny?” Dean growled.
“Oh, you’re in trouble,” the vamp chuckled.
Before the brothers could figure out what the vamp was laughing about, they heard a gun clack behind their backs.
“FBI! Drop the weapons, hands behind your head, and turn around!” you ordered them.
“Son of a bitch! You gotta be kidding me,” Dean hissed, letting his head tilt back in annoyance. “You take care of him, I take care of her,” he whispered to Sam before the brothers dropped the blades and turned around as instructed.
“Agent Sweetheart, good to see you again,” Dean grinned at you.
“Sam and Dean Winchester, you’re under arrest. Step away from the victim,” you told them as they faced you.
Dean frowned at you, baffled, “Whoa, you think this guy is a victim? Look at him.”
“Yeah, lady, you gotta help me! These guys are crazy! They wanted to kill me with a spoon!” the man tied up on a tree stump informed you.
“Shut up,” the brothers told him in unison and rolled their eyes.
“Look, I know this is bad, but it isn’t what it looks like,” Dean tried to explain, taking a few steps closer to you. He stopped in his tracks as you adjusted your aim, pointing the gun directly between his eyes.
“Wouldn’t take a step further. I will definitely pull that trigger,” you warned him. “And it looks like you kidnapped a guy, tied him up, and were gonna kill him with a machete and a switchblade,” you pointed out. “I found the other body in front of the house. This ends now.”
“As I said, I know it looks bad. I know it’s gonna sound unbelievable, but this guy isn’t human,” Dean said, sharing a brief look with his brother. “He’s a vampire. We’re hunters. We hunt monsters like him. We’re on the same side here, Agent.”
“I’m not on your side,” you gritted your teeth at the insult. “And I have a psych degree. I know how paranoia and hallucinations work. Henriksen was right. You guys are whack jobs,” you stated, shaking your head at them. Vampires? Really? That’s what they tried to sell you on?
The brothers shared a long look at the mention of your former partner’s name, seemingly remembering him. You would make sure they’d remember your name, too.
“Henriksen? You worked with Agent Henriksen?” Sam asked you, a baffled expression written across his face.
“Yeah, he was my mentor and first partner. And you killed him,” you spat angrily.
“Whoa, okay! We did not kill him. Look, if you let us finish this, save those kids, we’ll explain everything you wanna know. But you gotta trust us, okay?” Dean told you, his green eyes boring into yours.
It was the most ridiculous thing you had ever heard. For twelve years, you hunted those two brutal serial killers, and now they were begging you to trust them. Trust them?!
Yet, something in those green eyes still tugged on you, making you believe he was sincere about his words. Delusion really was a funny thing.
“Sorry, can’t do that,” you said and pulled the trigger, aiming for his knee.
Dean jumped to the side just in time and tackled you to the ground while Sam picked up the machete and cut the other guy’s head off. Your gun flew out of your hands, and Dean was strong as he pinned you down on the wet grass. However, you were a trained agent, and with a few good kicks to his head and groin, you managed to get the oldest Winchester off of you long enough to get back onto your feet.
Dean, however, wasn’t far behind you, getting back up as well. “Sam, go! I’ll be right there!” he shouted at his younger brother, who made a run for it.
“You’re not getting away,” you snarled.
“Look, Agent Sweetheart, I tried to make this easy on you… I’m really sorry I have to do this, but it looks like you’re gonna have to take a brief nap,” Dean declared.
And then everything went black as you felt his fist hit your face.

🖤🖤🖤 Warrant & The Rise & Fall of Jani Lane
Heres #2 & i consider this one special in honor of Jani Lane, 💔💕💌

The Band was formed in 1984 by drummer Max Asher who was still in high school. The Original lineup consisted of Lead vocalist, (at the time) Adam Shore, drummer Max Asher , guitarists Josh Lewis & Erik Turner and bassist Chris Vincent who was quickly replaced by Jerry Dixon . At the time the band did a hella alot of gigging around California. Opening for Hurricane , Ted Nugent , Stryper, Black n Blue and many others. But in Sept. '86, Shore and Asher quit to form Hot Wheelz . Which im going to have to check out later. But during this time they were working their asses off, trying to make it big like everyone else on the sunset strip.
Later that month Erik Turner was at a gig watching this band called Plain Jane who was a regular feature in the LA club scene . Erik ended up really digging the songwriting and vocals so he invited Jani Lane and drummer Steven Sweet for a jam session at Hollywood Db sound in Sept 1986. And that was it, Lane and Sweet along with guitarist Joey Allen, who replaced Lewis and Revamped up the band in 1987 (Hooorah) lolz As soon as Jani was recruited in the band he took on the role of being the songwriter for the band. Its so extraordinary to see and read about a bands transformation into stardom . Fucking amazing . Their peak of popularity was around 1988- 1996 with 5 albums reaching international sales of over 10 million. Their debut album, " Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinken Rich " went double platinum and so did the album " Cherry Pie " in the early 90s. " Dog Eat Dog " has a few good jams I'm not gonna lie. Jani Lanes voice is something I have to have a daily dose of 😂😂
Speaking of the 90s, as they were approaching becoming more of a mid 90s scene, Warrant knew they were going to be fucked as the sounds were changing as they sadly do. After their Dog Eat Dog Tour Jani had went on a solo career and the band got dropped by Columbia following the arrival of grunge and the death of their manager , Tom Hulett. in '93, Jani returned to the band and a toured for a short time in clubs in LA. Afterwards there was alot of change in lineup then in Sept '94 the band had gotten signed again byTom Lipsky of CMC Records in Sept '94.
Despite the bands drop in popularity, they released Ultraphobic in 1995 and a successful Greatest Hits album in '96, and they experienced a ton of highs and lows within that time. the 2000s led up to Jani leaving the band the band doing a reunion show with the new singer, Jaime St. James after that. ....
Then the horrid of all days happened and our beloved Jani Lane passed away from alcohol poisoning(supposedly) on Aug 11 2011. So they say, the office found his body in a comfort inn room with pills and alcohol also in the room . but i could only imagine what he was going through that led up to this if it was even an "accident". Let me know what you guys think about Jani Lanes death.

!Fun Fact! : Jani Lane really wanted to shoot himself in the head from writing their signature song "Cherry Pie" Although it was a Huge success, Jani Thought it overshadowed the rest of the bands work. It was a song the label wanted them to write and so he jotted that bitch down on a pizza box. He really didn't think the song fit their style and it didn't. Hella Cliche. btw, his real name was John Kennedy Oswald from Akron Ohio, named after JFK. Then changed it to John Patrick Oswald lolz

Sojourner Truth-Slave and Abolitionist (Part 2)
In 1850, Sojourner wrote her memoir, “Narrative of Sojourner Truth: A Northern Slave”, and it was published by prominent publisher and abolitionist, William Lloyd Garrison.
Sojourner attended the first Women’s Rights Convention in Seneca Falls, New York, and by 1851 she was invited to make her first speech for women’s rights at a convention in Akron, Ohio. It was there that she gave her famous speech, “Ain’t I a Woman”, calling for equal rights for all women and all African-Americans.

Sojourner continued to travel around the country speaking at the Abolitionist Convention, the American Equal Rights Association, and at a gathering for the Eighth Anniversary of Negro Freedom. Sojourner was met by protesters and heckled many times during her speeches, but she was not affected by the angry crowds. She responded to their hostility by saying, “You may hiss as much as you please, but women will get their rights anyway. You can’t stop us, neither.”
During the Civil War years, Sojourner took a job working for the National Freedman’s Relief Association in Washington, DC. She was in charge of recruiting African-Americans to join the Union Army. Her own grandson, James Caldwell, fought with the 54th Massachusetts Regiment.
Sojourner Truth died on November 26, 1883, at her home in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Battle Creek.
