i havent posted about it since halloween because i literally havent worked on it since halloween but the clown is going well ^_^

#for one the shirt is um actually a functioning one puece shirt with a zipper. rather than Something im safetypinned into #last pic is the lining gor the vest but my lighting makes it look not gold. Its gold. Trust.#im going to start + hopefully finish the boots tomorrow ! one way or another.#and possibly find a fabric to make the red stripes up the leggings bc i went through the trouble of measuring + cuting out + gradient dying #the red fabric ive used for everything else. ontl for it to skip stitched in my machine like Crazy. i dont wsnt to fight with it #thought im leaving those until Absolute last becaude i dont care about having them that bad. actually ill probably hotglue them on #if that would fuckcifng work LOLL but idrc if i pull up in plain black leggings as long as the top is done. and i Want to do the boots but #if it doesnt work out i also have plain black boots to wear. im happy either way. smiling even #I for real have to go to bed sorry i like talking about it and i would usually message my girlfriend my yapfest but if i do that #while i need to lock in / sleep then we'll end up talking for an hour and locking in means i need to Alock IN. atrocious outfit but i appreciate the crop top. correcting s4's mistakes here

#PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED PEOPLE #i think its like a two-tone jacket and the multicoloured crop top??#unless its a long sleeve crop with light blue sleeves and a dark blue vest #which makes him look like an employee at a store but whatever #and if god answers my prayers then the red around his neck COULD be a neckerchief. which is hot as hell #but i like it. camp #its just funny how everyone has outfits that more or less really match their colour themes and then they got lost with pigsy #because he's supposed to be zhu bajie (blue theme) but outside of s4 he's never even worn blue (black and white chef fit)#only exception being browns i think (s2 and s3)#which is kinda disapointing but MAYBE ill be pleasently surprised because it IS a very low quality image

since finishing it this morning i have a) worn my shawl around the house when i got chilly b) used it as a full-body blanky when i took a nap earlier c) wore it on an outing and it was windy and chilly and it kept me snuggly and warm outside :3 and d) used it as a lap blanky (current state). honestly i think this is the best crochet thing ive ever made

this outfit thing is pissing me off actually

#like why suddenly did we forget about colour coordination when it comes to him #ignoring the fact that he already doesn't really have a consitent colour theme #(blue for bajie but has only previously worn black and white with a brown jacket twice -#- then suddenly his celestial armor is a hot pink?)#the outfit itself is so cluttered??? 3 different blues on top of yellow and red STRIPES on top of his skin tone #the dark blue is like a vest on top of the lighter blue (you can see the collar is the same light blue as the sleeves). and again. STRIPES.#I still can't make out if the red towards his neck is supposed to be part of the shirt or a neckerchief #and then there's that torso belt thing that i can't pin a colour on but im seeing hints of the TEAL that mk's vest has.#i THINK i can see like. a flower brooch on the torso belt??? what is the THEME here???#what bothers me is that everyone else looks fine. mk's vest is upgraded (which makes me sad bcs i miss the yellow) mei looks so cute #tang's outfit is also a little unclear but it doesn't look nearly as visually cluttered #sandy is.. his vest doesn't go well with the bead necklace but he doesn't look BAD.#shrambles

finally laid out the pattern for my christmas vest im so hype for her....... i dont think shes gunna be suitable at literally any other occasion and i love the vibes

#im gunna cut a second set of back panels in case i DO decide i want to wear it at other oments in my life scream #bc i think a silky gold lining and buckle is one thing. but an entire silky gold back??????? that has to be covered at normal human events #a jacket is REQUIRED #i already have the more casua vest with this pattern that i wear. constantly #so i know it would be a worth while investment to be adding a second one to the closet h hm #for reference the fashion fabric is red and green pattern repeat in an upholstery tapestry fabric moment...............#like to be clear. wearing and 1890s vest in normal situations is already VERY over the top #i could abslutely just lean in #mulling this over FAR too deeply #i do love the structure those thick fabrics provide esp w the tailoring n the back so i think im leaning that way #i guess WORST case i add new fashion fabric on top of the silky gold and we call it a lining lmfao #im excitd to sew again is the point of this post #i make a new christmas outfit every year and its my fav personal tradition #im actually reusing this gold fabric from my first ever christmas make so <3 the nostalgia is present #sewing tag #irl #we did a NOVEL in the tags huh
