I had no idea that you were going to have surgery D: That's pretty scary to me, I've never had to go through that in my life thankfully as anything to do with blood or gory stuff creeps me out.

Im glad everything went well and your mom is there to take care of you. Just rest and focus on getting better.

Don't worry, it wasn't a big deal but yeah, the anesthesia was pretty stressful + I got a little cold just before the surgery, so it didn't really helped the recovery...🤒

I left Tumblr less for recovery because of the surgery, than for spiritual reasons. I felt under attack lately. Everything seems to fall apart lately... My job is getting extremely demanding to the point I'm about to lose it, my brother in law lost his job, and another sister lost both her relationship and apartment.... Thank God my mother is okay (she's currently traveling in Italia enjoying her retirement lol 👵🏾🇮🇹🍝) but yeah....

I got my suicide ideations back that's why I'm currently into a spiritual warfare. I threw away my remaing idols (physical jpop discs that I cherished - Ayumi Hamasaki, Kanon Wakeshima, Karia Nomoto...) because I refused to remain an hypocrite any longer. I rebuke secular music in the name of Jesus. I want to be free, so I prayed to God to make me "merciless" and He granted me this wish. It was hard but I know I did the right thing. I refuse to turn back. Obedience to God is in the small things, and it's been a while He was telling me to pick me side. My idols, or Him.

Every struggling season is a way for God to step up. He always works like that. I'm still super stress about work and my family, but I know He'll make a way.

I should really get to reading it for myself, but like, surely the absolute perfection that is this character/relationship writing isn't something that they added, right??? Especially with the way it connected to the boniji scene just before. The value of human connection, and how the sudden gift of it after isolation is all you've ever known, can immediately make your life so much better, yet scarier at the same time. Bocchi is putting herself out there, and now that she's in a band, she has to carry *everyone's* dreams and ambitions with her, not just her own. It's scary, it's complicated, but *god* does it feel so validating.

Because as Nijika made clear to her in ep 2, now *Bocchi's* dream is being shared with the others as well. Her dreams, her desires, her struggles, all of it is now being recognized by these friends that she could truly call her own... Everyone's individual & unique desires, all coming together to form a single tightly-knit group, with none of those desires being more important than the other... And with her connecting to Nijika this episode of their shared fear that their sheer focus on their own dream is putting pressure on the others. That's what Bocchi was struggling with up to this point as a result of her isolation, to start fighting for her friends' dreams as well as her own, and she discovered with Nijika that she's not alone in that struggle. It's yet another small step in the grand scheme of things, but the amount of catharsis here with Bocchi making those genuine connections with others after a lifetime of isolation is *so* palpable... Even though Bocchi wrote those lyrics as a result of that isolation, it's Ryou who's putting them to music, Kita who's singing them out to the world, and Nijika who's keeping the song on beat, being the glue tying the band together with her own (as of yet unknown) dream 😭🥺 This... this is peak kirara. It's the adaptation I've been waiting for for *years*, and god I'm so happy to be alive to be able experience it... This is why I continue to live. I know it's unhealthy, that I'm just using it as an excuse to regress further into my shell, but the hope that it gives me to see a character that resembles me so much grab hold of a life and friends in that characteristically kirara idealistic way, is a value that nothing can take away. Especially in such an uncaring and capitalistic world, I'm truly and forever grateful to have found a niche that I could fully identify with. I love kirara, I love bocchi,,,,, so, so much.... 😭

The rest of this is mostly a response to this post, which is entirely about the vending machine scene

As the scene begins, Bocchi is still deep in thought about what "growth" means to her. Even though it's so obvious to the rest of us how much progress she's made, she still hasn't fully internalized it, nor does she know yet why she's working so hard for this. All the kindness around her, symbolized by the backlight of the vending machine, but all Bocchi could do is stay pent up in the shadow of her own anxieties.

The specific vibe of this scenery (most definitely unintentionally) calls to the photography of Eiji Ohashi, who's dedicated a large part of his career to taking pictures of vending machines in desolate, dark environments, much like the one we see in this scene. The atmosphere of these photos have always captivated me, with how the light of the vending machine provides a safe haven from the world's darkness. Just as Bocchi's life up to this point has been stagnant and dark, Nijika and Kessoku Band's newfound presence changed her world, and provided the light for her to get up and run towards.

Even as Nijika enters the scene, the focus of the scene remains on the wall of vending machines behind them, with the two lights above them giving each character their own place in the scene. Immediately we're primed to pay attention to the environment—particularly the lighting—around the characters and how it reflects their emotions. During this time, neither of the characters are really saying anything of importance, because Kawakami instead chooses to elevate what could've been a standard dialogue scene, to nonverbally express emotion in a way that's only possible in a visual medium. In order to be immersed in the atmosphere of this tranquil moment of sincerity between Bocchi & Nijika before their big audition, the environment around the characters is just as important as the characters' movements and expressions themselves. Kawakami employed the realistic, yet no less expressive acting of Tomoki Yoshikawa, who, along with his Keisuke Kobayashi-influenced way of depicting everyday, mundane movements—realistic, yet subtly exaggerated in all the right ways—skillfully integrated the blinding backlight of the vending machines into his drawings. Once again another facet of the scene that puts the characters within and a part of the scenery around them. Just as the characters become part of the environment, so too does every shot seamlessly & naturally blend into one another, bringing a sense of wholeness to the scene. Just as the comedy scenes endear us to the characters, it's their complete opposite in scenes like these, depicted in a more objectively realistic manner, that is what makes us truly connect to them; and it's umeP & Saito's team's unending dedication to character acting/expression that is what bridges the two together.

The differences between Bocchi & Nijika are the foundations of this scene—with them obviously being complete opposites in personality, Nijika realizes that she may have pushed Bocchi into her band without considering that Bocchi may be into the guitar for a completely different reason to her (and she'd be right, lol) In the environment, that's depicted through the small barrier between the two vending machines that only Nijika crosses for Bocchi. But as I said, this facet of their characters is being depicted through their movements as well, with Nijika's subtle yet thorough movements contrasting against Bocchi staying still, and with the complete difference in energy levels in their waves to each other here:

Nijika, initially bathed in the light of the vending machines, slips for a moment into the shadows—the very same shadows that Bocchi has mostly been enveloped in for the whole scene. Though her movements are eager & energetic, Nijika continuing to keep Bocchi at arm's length, suggesting that there may be a part of her that she keeps guarded from others, in a very similar way to Bocchi. Though their movements remain completely different, for a moment the way they integrated into the environment (being in the shadow, rather than the light) united together, and we're left with Bocchi contemplatively gazing at Nijika as she leaves the scene. That small similarity to Bocchi is something we've seen with Kita as well, and it's what pushed Bocchi to take that step to bring her back into the band. Though Bocchi doesn't truly know Nijika yet, nor her reason for being in the band, the fact that she cares so much about it that she can't bear to spill the secret to her is something that Bocchi can relate to. Bocchi, who up to this point has been completely alone, is now finding a connection, no matter how small, to someone who's the complete opposite of her. That similar passion for their own dreams & desires—just that alone is enough for Bocchi to put her all into this joint, group effort. Nijika cares, so Bocchi will too. That's all there is to it. That's what friendship is about. All this, conveyed in an otherwise completely normal dialogue scene in front of some vending machines. An ordinary, mundane moment, that Bocchi can only realize how precious it is to her in retrospect, after she's grown. This is the power of slice-of-life when paired with the boundless passion of one of the most prolific teams in the industry. #BOCCHISWEEP

[SF] Rise of the Kaiju

An alert pops up on my monitor. They call it an "alert" because it alerts us to something important but in reality it looks more like an email notification. I can even swipe to dismiss it. The "alert" tells me about seismic activity located near the center of town. It's my job to determine if any seismic readings are in fact earthquakes or... something else. Luckily I have some of the best technology known to man at my disposal. I type in a few commands which give me access to the five satellites hovering over the region. Almost immediately three satellites give me the details I need. Definitely not a quake. Well, not a natural one anyway. Sometimes this job is too easy. I take a sip of my coffee and hit a button to sound the alarm.

Red lights flash all around the facility. Klaxon alarms blare at an almost defeaning volume. Notifications are sent to every single smart device in the building. There isn't a soul in the facility who isn't aware of the imminent threat. As soon as I hit the button, four highly trained pilots rush to their mechs. Right now they're going through pre-deployment procedures and within 5 minutes should intercept the target. I take another sip of coffee and pull up a live feed on my computer. This is the part of the job I love the most. Sure these attacks can be scary but we have the best pilots in the world defending us. That allows me to push that fear aside and fulfill my childhood dream of watching giant robots fighting giant monsters.

The Kaiju first emerged 17 years ago right here in Kaijutown. Of course, it wasn't called Kaijutown back then. Back then it was simply known as Oklahoma City. Some people refer to that day as K-Day but I always thought it sounded silly. I just call it The Day Mankind's History Was Irrevocably Altered For The Remainder Of All Time. See, rolls right off the tongue. When the first Kaiju burst from the earth in the middle of downtown Oklahoma City there was, of course, shock and awe. Nothing like this had ever happened before. Immediately we knew two things: we weren't alone in the universe (or even this planet) and mankind would never be the same.

The first Kaiju destroyed most of the city before it was stopped. Hundreds of thousands of lives were lost. The initial shock and awe soon gave way to anger and vengeance. The military was quick to react and after a bombing campaign that lasted almost 24 hours the Kaiju was finally brought down. So now we knew a third thing: they could be killed. Naturally the Kaiju corpse was studied for any vulnerabilities. It was quickly discovered they had very thick skin covered in some areas with armor-like scales. I remember seeing it on the news as a boy and thinking it resembled a large crocodile spliced with a T-Rex. When the second Kaiju emerged, we realized a fourth thing: the first Kaiju wasn't an isolated incident. Not only were we all now living in an Ishiro Honda film, but now we had to deal with multiple giant monsters living beneath the surface.

The government quickly evacuated most of Oklahoma and began to devise additional methods to defeat the Kaiju. As luck would have it, halfway across the world Japan was working on an actual life-size Gundam. Initially they led the world to believe their Gundam could do nothing more than move a leg. When actual Kaiju started to appear, the Japanese government informed the United States government that their Gundam was more battle ready than previously thought. Naturally the US Government wanted all of the technology used to build the mech. Naturally Japan refused. Eventually an agreement was formed. The two countries would work together to build battle mechs, train mech pilots, and develop any additional technology needed to combat the Kaiju. Soon, other countries offered their expertise and technologies. Everybody wanted to be in the inner circle regarding this crazy new threat. Thus, the Allied Nations Kaiju Liberation Enforcement Service was born. Yea I know it spells ANKLES. I've told my boss. He told me to shut up.

I continue to sip coffee as I watch the live feed. The Kaiju emerged from the ground just like all of the others. It gets it's footing then looks around. The four mechs approach, their metal chassis glistening in the sun. This is the 70th Kaiju attack since they first emerged 17 years ago. Well I guess it's unfair to call it an attack. We've gotten Kaiju fighting down to a science so this is just another Wednesday for us. Kaijutown has been abandoned for years which allowed ANKLES to build an impenetrable defense around a perimeter totaling 50 square miles. No Kaiju has gotten more than 3 miles before our mechs bring them down. I've been lucky enough to witness most of the takedowns right here from the command center at ANKLES HQ.

The mechs reach the Kaiju and flank it from all sides. Shoulder mounted missiles are fired and a flurry of explosions blanket the Kaiju. It roars that ungodly roar they all do when they are first attacked. I can feel it all the way here at HQ. The missles should weaken the Kaiju enough for the deadly blow to be inflicted. All of our mechs are equipped with a special blade designed to penetrate the tough Kaiju skin. One of the mechs deploys their blade and strikes. This was it. This was the final blow. It would all be over soon. But... the Kaiju dodges the strike and grabs the mech's arm. Then it opens it's mouth and vaporizes the mech with what I can only assume was some kind of fire breath. I drop my coffee mug. This has never happened before. Kaiju don't have fire breath. The three remaining mechs pilots keep their cool but I can hear the fear rising in their voices. They just witnessed one of their teammates killed at the claws of a Kaiju. A fire breathing Kaiju. All of the mechs strike at once.

Multiple notifications pop up across my screen. Everybody at ANKLES wants to know what's going on. Kaiju specialists are frantically recalling any information they have on these things and nobody can find anything about fire breath. In addition to that, this Kaiju seems to be faster and more agile than the ones before it. It is effortlessly dodging the blows from the mechs even returning a few blows of it's own. The mech pilots are well trained but it's been years since a Kaiju has given them this much of a challenge. Usually a shoulder missle attack and a blade strike seals the deal. Now the mech pilots are literally out there fighting for their lives.

Another alert pops up on my screen. I almost dismiss it until I realize it's a seismic alert. Oh no. Not now. I type a few commands and the satellites confirm it. Another Kaiju is emerging from the earth. I patch into the mech's radio feed and warn the pilots. It's too late. The second Kaiju attacks a mech from behind with a vaporizing blast of fire breath. I can't believe what I'm seeing. The Kaiju must have... evolved. I have an idea but the area needs to be clear. I tell the two remaining pilots my plan and to evacuate the area. They acknowledge my message, land a few remaining strikes on the Kaiju and begin to run back to HQ. The satellites I use to track Kaiju seismic activity are also low-orbit defense weapons. Each satellite is equipped with a nuclear missle. Well not technically nuclear because there's no radiation but they do pack a similar wallop. I sweat as I type the commands I need to access the defense capabilities of the satellites. I stop for a split second when I realize these missles have never been deployed before. Today is definitely a day of firts. A notification pops up on my monitor from the head of ANKLES giving me the greenlight to launch. In my haste I didn't ask for permission so I'm glad they're covering all of our butts by giving me the required approval. I type the final command and the missle is launched.

It takes 5 seconds for the missle to enter Earth's atmosphere and reach the Kaiju. The blast is blinding, the shockwave deafening. The entire building shakes and I have to hold on to my computer console to avoid being thrown to the ground. Once the explosion subsides, I sit down and sigh. I can't believe what has happened today. Two mech pilots killed. Evolved Kaiju. Me launching an explosive from space. This is definitely one for the history books. I wipe sweat from my brow and start to type up an after action report. There will be a lot of people studying the events of today for a long time. Halfway through typing the first sentence I freeze. My mind must be playing tricks on me. I could have sworn I heard a... there it is again. That ungodly roar. Impossible. I switch to a live feed of the missle impact area but there's still too much dust in the air. I switch to a thermal view and my heart drops. The two Kaiju are still standing and roaring into the sky. Alerts pop up on my screen. More seismic activity. This time it's off the charts. No no no no no. I pull up the satellite data and the blood drains from my face. More Kaiju are emerging. We've never dealt with more than one at a time before. Now there are at least a dozen in full view with more bursting out of the ground every few minutes. I sit back in my chair and tears form in my eyes. If the mechs and the missiles couldn't stop them then we're doomed. Soon the Kaiju break through our defensive barrier, tearing it down as if it were tissue paper. We deployed the remaining mechs. We deployed the remaing missles. It was of no use. There was now nothing standing between the Kaiju and the rest of mankind. For the second time in my lifetime, the Kaiju have risen.

Fantasy weird Dream

* there's a secret passage to escape earth*

My Aunt, lil bro and I went to planet Uranus

It's dark and scary seems like a big cave. There is such thing as alien and Allen's creepy pet, shape like a zombie dog from other movies 😅 we went around to find the secret passage to escape Planet Uranus. Until some sort of Aliens group coming for us real quick (in my dream) I was so shaking and creep the hell outta me. So what I did is to bring my aunt, lil bro back to our hidden place. Until my aunt says "we can't go back there, or else we all trap here forever" so she find a way. The only way is in the bathroom. But they didn't know how to scape. Until that time I remember the scene in Harry potter, where they step on the bowl and flash themselves in order to move to other place. So the three of us step on the bowl and I did the same thing in Harry potter and we moved to other planet. I don't really remember the other part but all I know is I travel to seven planet and each of it has a trial and time limit. If I failed I stay, but I manage to solve all of the problem. The last Planet I visit is Mars. This time, I'm with my group of friend we are four. My childhood friend, Dorm mate and the other one, I don't remember who she is. We have some sort of trial but I don't quite remember it but what we did at the last part in order to escape mars. We all change our clothes our remaing time is about 50 secs left.When I wear my under pants it takes 30 secs. And we don't have enough time so I didn't ware undrwr 😅 (I dunno, I know it's weird but that's what happens in my dreams) anyways... We are all panic cause we only have 10 seconds in order to escape, we all need to hold each other. So, we manage to go back to earth. My friends and I Were floating back to earth. And I saw the whole Earth it so bright so beautiful I totally fell in love when I saw the whole earth. while we are out of space 😍 I'm getting closer and closer on earth and suddenly we land to stuff toys (bear,pillow....) at market. So we went back home. A home that I don't really recognized. A beautiful surronding feels like heaven ❤ a whole family waiting.. a lake where everyone is happy taking a bath, a beautiful rising sun. A place that you wanna stay forever....

Then..... I Woke up 😂😴 it so fresh from my mind. Most probably the whole earth approaching 😍 I'm so inlove with it... the first thing i say when i woke up is " What a wonderful adventure!" 😂😂😂❤
