I finished season 4 and it was good. I was close to stopping because I wanted to rewatch fairy tail but it was worth it I want to star season 5 now :))
That's what I usually do too 😂. I'm trying to just watch one anime at a time. I'm trying to watch all of Tokyo Revengers right now!

Moon River has be thinking about my dream of moving to the French countryside, a small little cottage home, tucked away in lush green fields in the middle of nowhere.
Riding a baby blue bicycle down dirt roads to the nearest town, a collection of little homes, a convenience store, pharmacy and the market, where all the local farmers and artisans sell their goods.
Thinking about buying farm grown fruits and veggies, humanely raised meats wrapped in little brown packages, tucking them into the wicker basket on the bike.
I feel as though Levi would be the mysterious neighbour that lives across the dusty road, his vegetable garden a masterpiece to marvel at. I’d watch him from my front porch, pretending to write my latest novel.
I’d glance as he digs and hauls, picks and plants, the hard look on his face only fading when he tends to the laying Hens he has in the side yard, he’d coo and chat softly to them to keep them happy.
He’d be so beautiful, sweat slicked skin in the summer heat, trousers and a thin undershirt that’s often covered in dirt and grass stains.
I just know that he’d play games, letting me think that he doesn’t know a lick of English, making it hard for me to make friends with him, he’d only break the ruse when I bring him a dish of my homemade taquito rolls, a soft “holy fuck that’s good” slipping past his lips after the first bite.
Thinking about visiting him, sitting in the shade of the large oak tree left of his house, reading while he tends to the garden, playing with the hens when they come to see me. Levi would never admit it of course, but you just know that he’d revel in the company, the calm human interaction.
He’d bring glasses of homemade juice and sweet iced teas and watch intently while I sip, patiently waiting for approval.
Flowers would start to grow in the garden where extra rows of vegetables would have gone, and when they bloom they’ll disappear for a moment, only to show up carefully arranged in a stained glass vase on my front porch that same afternoon.
The way I romanticize the French countryside fantasy is borderline unhealthy, Cheri.
rae for the love of god write this. I will pay you to write this
oh to be the object of French cottage core Levi’s affection. come, my love, let us go collect the harvest of our garden and feed the chickens.
okay but also this au Levi just delivering u hand plucked bouquets of flowers has me in tatters of myself, falling apart at the seams to all of this

Sendai Holiday 2019, Part 3:  Home rink and Olympic monuments
(Parts 1 and 2 were on ice shows ‘Fantasy On Ice’.)
On my 1st trip to Sendai last year, I flew straight to Sendai Airport.  This time, I decided to take the bullet train.  The shinkansen ride from Tokyo Station to Sendai Station was just one and a half hours, very fast and comfortable.
I booked the same hotel as last year and everywhere was friendly and familiar.  I felt so happy to be back!  And I knew exactly where to go. :)  First thing I did was to visit the station’s Tourist Information Centre where ‘young master’ Yuzu welcomes all to Sendai.  I needed to find out more about shuttle buses for the ice shows.
Tumblr media
It looked the same as last year, except one more message has been added to his poster: “Congratulations on receiving the People’s Honour Award!”  Omedeto~!
Next, I bought zunda mochi from a shop in the station and boarded the bus for Ice Rink Sendai.   Haha, this was exactly what I did on my first day in Sendai one year ago.
Ahhh.... my sweet zunda mochi, I have missed you. xD
Tumblr media
Passed by Nanakita River and Yurtec Stadium; it means we are almost there!
Tumblr media
When I alighted from the bus, I was surprised at the changes in the area.  There are new buildings!  To the right of Ice Rink Sendai is a cute pasta restaurant.....
Tumblr media
and on the left, a huge D.I.Y. store.   They weren’t here last April. :)
Tumblr media
Pics below: Yuzuru’s home rink, Ice Rink Sendai.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I brought along Shampoo Neko's fan art (with her permission), wrote "Love and support from Yuzuru Hanyu International Fan Group (FB)" and gave it to the reception of the rink.  I told the nice lady at the reception that this art is drawn by a fan from Argentina and there are many fans from all over the world who love him very much. She smiled and said thank you.  (And I was extra happy to hear Yuzu say he loves fan art during his talk show with Shuzo-san. :D )
I took some photos of the reception area.  Compared to last year, it is much more "bare" because all the support messages for 2018 Olympics have been taken off the black wall.  The rest of it is about the same.   Our handsome 'young master' is still there and there is now a sign saying "Do not touch..." xD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As before, photography is not allowed for the rink area and the small gallery of photos and memorabilia.
When I was here last year, I rented skates and tried to skate.  This time, I didn't skate because I didn't want to risk any injury that would prevent me from going for the ice shows.  So I just paid an entrance fee and sat at the rinkside to watch the skaters.
I was happy to see Nanami Abe sensei again!  Last year, I saw her coaching a group of children/young teens. This time, I saw a different side of her.  She was teaching an older teenage boy and they seemed to be going through the choreography of a programme.  Since Nanami-sensei is a choreographer as well as a coach, I think she probably choreographed a programme for this skater for the new season.  She skated some steps and he had to do the same.... and one part was difficult for him and he couldn't do it properly.  She skated again a few times to show him and he tried it over and over again until he got better at it. Then she took her little music player and they did the steps with music. They were talking and laughing every now and then, and enjoying the whole process.  And Nanami-sensei is so graceful and light on her feet, wow, I enjoyed watching her.  After a lot of practice of that part, they moved on to the next section of the choreography. The student's mother was standing near me and she was using her handphone to record some parts, looking quite pleased.
As a non-skater, I’m glad I got to watch part of a programme being made.   So much hard work.  He was practising some steps that I have taken for granted in Yuzu and I didn't even know they could be so difficult (for a skater).  Watching this boy, I could see the work behind just a few "simple" steps.  I realised that even though I've read and watched so much about Yuzu over the years, I still know so little about skating.  Sigh. :(
The boy was tall and slim and wearing all black, so similar to you-know-who.  I was also thinking, how many times Yuzu must have practised like this with Nanami-sensei, in this same rink, with his mum recording at the side......  *goosebumps*
Pic below: Nanami-sensei and the team of coaches.
Tumblr media
There were also a few other skaters having individual lessons, doing spins and jumps, pretty high level stuff.  I was very contented to sit there and watch them.  I also had a nice chat with one of the coaches who gave me a lot of help last year.  She remembered my name (omg I was so happy!) and she bought me a drink from the vending machine (she’s so sweet!).....  It was so good to see her again.   Thank you, Sensei!
On this day, there were no group lessons as the rink was closing early for a special event.  Javier Fernandez was invited to teach a group of kids there.  As I was leaving, I saw the staff getting the place ready.  Everyone must be pretty excited!  Lucky kids!
Next, I wanted to see Yuzu’s new Olympic victory monument.  I took the subway from Izumi Chuo station to International Centre Station.  It was a beautiful day and I was greeted by a marvellous sight.
Tumblr media
The view from the back was as gorgeous as from the front.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I was here last April, the SEIMEI panel was not up yet.  After watching the ceremony on live stream recently, where Yuzu officially revealed the design, it was very satisfying to be able to see it for real.   And once again, I was reminded that the panels are much bigger than they seem in photos. :)
Congrats again, 2-time Olympic gold medalist, Hanyu Yuzuru senshu!   おめでとうございます!!
Part 1 and 2: the ice shows Part 4:  Nanakita Park and schools

Chapter 12: A Highland Distillery
Whisky is liquid sunshine - George Bernard Shaw
Due to the unscheduled teenage makeout session, there was little time for refreshment or a guided tour before Brian and Murtagh were due to return home from the distillery.
“We havena time fer a bite afore dinner now.” Jamie complained to Claire as they headed downstairs, fresh from their uneventful showers. “I dare say Mrs Crook will have made a tasty dish fer dinner. She makes stews and the like while she’s here during the day and then Da and Murtagh jes’ have tae heat them through. I dinna ken what they’d do wi’out her.”
Jamie quickly showed Claire the rooms on the ground floor. The formal living room and dining room were both immaculately clean with a strong smell of lemon furniture polish thanks, no doubt, to the efforts of Mrs Crook and were beautifully decorated in tones of claret and forest green, but were obviously little used. The study cum library was clearly in regular use, as was the morning room with its large television and matching recliner chairs.
Back in the kitchen, Jamie headed straight for the fridge, emerging with a large chunk of cheese, two apples and some grapes.
“Ye want some?” He muttered through a mouthful of cheddar.
“No thanks, and I thought we didn’t have time for any refreshment before dinner.”
Jamie swallowed the cheese. “That’s right, we don’t. But this isna proper refreshment, Sassenach, this is just a wee amuse-bouche. As soon as Da and Murtagh get home, we’ll open up the bar.”
“You’re just an appetite on legs, James Fraser.”
“Aye, weel,” Jamie moved to put his arms around Claire, walking her backwards until she felt her bottom make contact with a granite countertop. “I have tae keep my strength up. I have an awfa demanding woman to service, ye ken. Always wanting my body...” He nuzzled into her neck, muffling his words. Claire laughed and drew his lips to hers.
“Och, sorry there. Are we interrupting? Shall we go out, knock and come in again?”
Embarrassed, Claire broke from the kiss and tried to extract herself from Jamie’s embrace. Jamie just smiled at the two men and pulled her even closer to him, one hand secretly snaking down her back to squeeze her bottom. Claire blushed a deeper shade of crimson.
“Da, Murtagh… this is Claire.”
“Pleased to meet you.”
Claire finally escaped Jamie’s arms and shook the hand of the fiercer looking man, a large proportion of his face covered by a black, bushy beard and thick black eyebrows. The rest of the face looked serious with a ‘mess-with-me-and-you’re-in-for-it’ expression.
“Evenin’.” The face responded.
Turning to the other, kinder looking man, Claire was immediately wrapped in a huge hug.
“We dinna stand on ceremony here, lass. I’m Brian, Jamie’s Da and I’m verra happy tae meet ye.”
Even though Brian’s hair was black, shot through with silver, there was a strong resemblance between himself and his son. Jamie was a couple of inches taller and broader than his father, but they both projected the same air of leadership and benevolent authority. In centuries gone by, they would have been lairds or war chiefs, protecting and commanding.
With introductions made, and the casserole in the oven to heat through, Jamie poured four whiskies as they sat round the table. Conversation was mainly between Jamie, Brian and Claire, with the odd interjection from Murtagh. Jamie sat back in his chair watching as Claire explained her role as orthopaedic surgeon at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, making Brian laugh and even Murtagh smile at her anecdotes from the wards.
Nothing could be better than this, he thought to himself. The tantalising smell of Mrs Crook’s lamb casserole and baked potatoes; the taste of the whisky, smooth and warming on his tongue; the sound of good conversation; the sight of loved ones and the touch of Claire’s hand resting on his thigh under the table, her thumb lightly stroking, all made for a more perfect evening than he had expected. He had known that his father would like Claire, but to see them together, laughing and chatting with no awkwardness, well, it filled his heart.
As the men made the preparations for dinner, with a well-rehearsed choreography borne from years of similar meals, Claire asked “Do you need me to do anything? Set the table, perhaps?”
“Och, no Claire, Dinna fash. We’re all fine. Ye jes’ relax.”
Unsurprisingly, the casserole tasted as good as it smelt. Jamie had opened a bottle of red wine and all four sat round the kitchen table savouring the food and drink.
“Mrs Crook is a marvellous cook.” Claire commented contentedly.
“Aye, that she is. Murtagh and I would be lost wi’out her. She runs this house… er, has Jamie cooked ye dinner yet?”
A knowing smirk passed between Brian and Murtagh. Claire glanced at Jamie, his eyes fixed firmly on his plate.
“No, why?”
“Our Jamie may have many skills, but cookin’ isna one o’ them,” Brian began. “Remember when he thought he could make cheese sauce by grating cheese into a saucepan, melting it then adding milk… we had tae throw that pan away.”
“Or when he tried to roast a chicken in the oven,” Murtagh joined in. “But put it in a dish with plastic handles… we had to throw that away too.”
“Or when he thought a clove of garlic meant the whole bulb. That bolognaise wasna good.”  Brian was now on a roll.
Jamie covered his face with his hands.
“Or when he came home drunk and...”
“Enough!” Jamie stood up. “I canna take this character assassination. I’m going fer a piss.”
As Jamie left the kitchen, Brian turned to Claire. “‘Tis only teasin’ ye ken, Claire. Our Jamie is a fine man and he thinks the world o’ you. I can see it.” He placed his hand over hers and gently squeezed.
Jamie returned with another bottle of whisky and refilled the glasses. As Claire sipped, she realised this was what a home felt like. “Would you like me to do the washing up?” she asked Brian.
“Och no, lass. We have a dishwasher. He’s called Murtagh… only kiddin’, we do have a dishwasher, nae bother.”
“Please excuse me, I must just pop to the bathroom.”
Brian waited until Claire was out of the room, then spoke to his son. “It’s a grand lass ye have there. Much better that any o’ the others.”
Murtagh nodded vigorously in agreement. “Dinna do anything daft tae scare her away.”
“I wouldna… it’s only been a month, but it’s like I’ve known her forever… d’ye understand what I mean?”
Brian’s eyes moved to the wedding photo on the kitchen dresser. “Aye, lad, I do. I understand ye… totally.”
********
Brian and Murtagh had already left for the distillery by the time Jamie and Claire made it downstairs the following morning. The original plan had been to travel the ten miles together, but since there was no sign that Jamie and Claire were awake, Brian made the decision to leave them at home to join him later.
Jamie and Claire had, in fact, been very much awake but, since he was determined to work through a large number of fifteen year old Jamie’s fantasies, they were not ready to leave when Brian called his farewells. Eventually fifteen year old Jamie was sated enough for them to get ready and head for the distillery.
Driving towards Broch Tuarach, the road followed alongside a river. “That’s the River Glass,” Jamie explained. “That’s where we get the water fer our whisky.”
As they pulled into the car park, Claire was surprised to see a coach parked there, people chattering animatedly as they climbed out and congregated in the middle. A man with a distinctive navy Broch Tuarach sweatshirt herded them together.
“Are we joining that group?” Claire whispered as she deliberately pushed her full lower lip out in a (half) joking pout. She had been hoping for a more personal ‘behind the scenes’ tour. She was keen to see his office up here. She loved to imagine him at his desk, forehead screwed up in concentration, poring over ledgers, glasses perched on the end of his nose - even though in reality she knew he would be more likely to be poring over a computer screen and didn’t wear glasses.
“Nah, we’ll wait for that lot tae head through before I show ye the works. Mind, it’s good business, these tours. Many of the distilleries do them, especially ones like us wi’ a real history. There’s a full malt whisky trail on Speyside but we dinna do too bad wi’ visitors - a drive down Loch Ness, a wee keek at Urquhart Castle and then ontae us. And we do different tours too. There’s a general tour and specialist tasting events. Jenny’s husband Ian, he manages the marketing, events, PR and the like. Over there we’ve a wee shop and we’ve plans for a wee cafe to open in the summers.”
“Like a pop-up cafe?”
“Aye,” Jamie put his arms round Claire and pulled her close. “I’m verra fond of a pop-up myself, would ye no’ say?”
Jamie led Claire into one of the stone buildings surrounding the car park. As they walked down a corridor, Claire studied the portraits hanging on the walls, all images of sombre, dark-haired men, the only real difference being the gradual evolution of their attire. At the end of the corridor Claire recognised the portrait of Brian, not so dour as the others, a slight smile playing on his lips.
“Are these all your great great, whatever grandfathers?” Claire asked.
“Aye, stretching all the way back tae Robert Fraser in the late eighteenth century.”
“And there’s always been a son to carry on?”
Jamie nodded. “There’s been a fair few daughters too, but aye, there’s always a son.”
“So your picture will be up here one day?”
“Perhaps,” Jamie shrugged. “Or mebbe Jenny’s will. She works for the company too, weel, she’s on maternity leave at the moment.”
“You’d stand out like a sore thumb!” Claire laughed, teasing him. “That red hair against all these brunettes.”
“My mam had red hair too, that’s the MacKenzie in me.”
******
After a cup of coffee in Jamie’s office (no ledgers, no leather bound volumes, no old fashioned desk lamp, just a large slightly battered wooden desk, immaculately tidy dominated by a computer screen), Claire felt slightly disappointed, even though she knew her imagination had leant more to Dickens than actual real life.
There were several photos dotted round the office, some obviously were the distillery team, all dressed in logoed sweatshirts but the majority featured the same faces. Claire recognised Jamie, Brian, Murtagh, Jenny and Wee Jamie. The others, she surmised, were Jenny’s husband, Ian and Jamie’s mother, Ellen.
Jamie didn’t talk much about his mother. Claire recognised that the wound ran deep and he tried to hide it, probably as a defence mechanism. She knew Ellen had died when Jamie was twelve and his sister was fourteen, but unlike her own, the loss of a parent had not halted a traditional, close-knit family life. He still had a parent, a sibling, cousins, aunts and uncles, and a nephew. Claire felt a sudden pang. Jamie had a family history, traditions, silly inside jokes and roots and she, much as she had loved Uncle Lamb, had none of those.
“Come on now,” Jamie broke her reverie. “The next guided tour begins in two minutes. Time fer a quick loo trip first, if ye need it, but I wouldna keep yer tour guide waiting. I hear he’s a wee bit of a tyrant.”
Walking through the various buildings of the distillery, Jamie explained to Claire the long process to turn grain and water into whisky -from the germination, malting, mashing, fermentation and distillations to storing the whisky in large barrels to age.
They ended up in a large warehouse with rows and rows of barrels on the floor and on huge wooden shelves. Claire looked around, fascinated. “So, if all distilleries use the same process, why don’t all whiskies taste the same?”
“Weel, if ye’ve a blended whisky, you’ve room tae do a bit o’ playing aboot. We only produce single malt here. Differences in taste can be due tae several reasons: the shape and material o’ the stills, the skill of the makers, the water from different rivers - or even the same river in different places - and the type of barrels we put the whisky in tae age. We mainly use sherry barrels, but those over there are rum barrels fer a special twenty year old limited edition.”
Jamie moved behind Claire, his chest pressed tightly against her back. He bent down to whisper in her ear. “Och, Sassenach, if there were no’ sae many people around, I reckon the barrels are jes’ the right height. I would have ye bending across one o’ these barrels, wi’ yer shirt undone and yer breasts wobbling free and then I’d pull down yer jeans and...” She could feel his hot breath on her neck as he gently nibbled her skin.
Putting her hand up to caress his cheek, she enquired, “Is that another one of fifteen year old Jamie’s fantasies? He seemed to have a fair few.”
“Ooh no, Sassenach, this one is thirty two year old Jamie’s fantasy. Jes’ thought of it meself. I mean, what could be a better combination, whisky and sex with the woman you lo...” Jamie stopped himself. “...lust after.”

Thanks, Taika of my dreams
Couple of nights ago I had a weird dream. I am on four different psycoactive meds and my dreams have always been colourful to begin with, so weird dreams are not something extraordinary in this household of ours and our mornings usually begin like: “hey, husband, I had this crazy dream today in which Vlad Putin was an aquatic monster and we were seventies cops with horrible staches and fur coats and he tried to kill us by a river and we shot him but he didn’t died so I panicked and just switched to another tv channel and there was a riot in a fancy old theatre on our kitchen table because Jennifer Lawrence and David Tennant had stopped performing a live episode of Doctor Who to elope and live to the fullest their secret romance” (I actually dreamt that and I don’t even watch Dr. Who). But this dream I am talking about now was awfully dull. Yeah weird, but dull. Until...
Before I get to the details of my dream let me introduce you to the man on this picture. This is Taika “I do whatever the fuck I want because I don’t need your validation to know I am cool as fudge” Waititi, better known lately for directing the last instalment to Thor’s plot arch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the colourful joy and delight full of flag waving and redemption that is Thor: Ragnarok. We, my husband and I, love Taika Waititi since we first met him a couple of years ago in What We Do In The Shadows, co directed with Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords (and they both star in the movie with hilarious results). What?! You haven’t seen it?! One of the greatest fantasy comedies of our times?! Go now, I’ll wait.
Tumblr media
(Now that you’ve seen the movie you now that’s Taika in it as Viago, waiting for you to fulfil your task) No, but seriously, we love him. If we were tu bump into him on the street we would invite him home and feed him and make sure he is all warm and cozy and tell him what a talented, lovable huge dork he is and that we love almost anything he does. Proof is, I only got interest in Ragnarok because of him because i hated so much the other two that I couldn’t finish them and that is not something that happens to me easily, not being able to finish a movie. AND I LAUGHED MY ASS OF AND I HAD THE GREATEST TIME WATCHING THOR: RAGNAROK EVEN ON HEAVY MEDS AND WITH A DEPRESSION. Because this man knows his shit when it comes to comedy and that ain’t easy.
Well, you are now acquainted with one of the most charismatic directors, writers and actors, with one of the most original and unapologetic public personas of this days. You’re welcome.
Tumblr media
Look at that, a happy family with the mischievous son conveniently locked away LOL
Back to my dream!
I was at the cinema and my husband and I had set up one of my friends for a date without her knowing. It was weird because the three of us were sitting apart in little clusters of movie theatre seats, four seats for each, and from where we were sitting none of use could see the screen at all but somehow (dream logic) we still were catching every detail of the movie. All the lights were on and people was talking, it was kind of a special event in which you were welcome to bring your own food and sit wherever you pleased. We were bored and my friend wanted to finish the food and leave because the movie was stressing us out. Apparently, it was about kidnapping children but I didn’t know that until that moment (the me on my dream seemed to know, though). Then, Haley Joel Osment does his entrance in a nerdy outfit and produces a blanket and a picnic basket from a backpack. Yeah, I know, dream logic, ok? Haley Joel Osment was the guy me and my husband had set my friend up with.
So by then, the me inside the dream is ok with everything, it’s her plan after all, but the dreaming me is done with this shit and is bored af. So I decide I’m leaving and I accidentally end up inside the movie I DON’T KNOW HOW.
And there’s my husband and my friend and Haley Joel Osment and they’re all like “this movie is bad karma we out” and suddenly I’m alone and poor Naomi Watts tells me she’s done making the freaked out mom and she begs for me to take her role so she can be the evil mom that wants my kid because her daughter died. I don’t even have kids irl life and I don’t belong in the movie and now I want to know whats happens with my friend and HJO because against all odds it looked like they liked each other?? But Naomi is so beautiful and talented and she looks so done that I say ok and I do the freaked out mom followed around the big ass suburb house full of broken toys by the evil mom aka Naomi Watts. And I was really terrified and exhausted but every now and thens we would stop and OOC chat for a while and she would compliment me on my performance, thank me for the chance or complain about sandwiches in the catering today  and I would say “But Nay, I’m only here because some psycomagical shit I didn’t event get to see the set” and she would apologise so much as if she had been unwillingly racist or something. And the we’d resume the chasing.  So, apparently, the plot of the movie was that Naomi and her husband had lost a daughter and now wanted mine (that wasn’t there at all), but during the chasing around the house two things were discovered: a skeletal child that ran away from us, thankfully, and a live one, a seven-year-old boy, naked, locked in a closet. I took the boy in my arms an resumed my race around the house but this time I was pissed because why did they wanted to steal a child if they already had one that they were neglecting? I was so pissed that I forgot to run and started walking. I heard I siren downstairs and thought it was the cops but it was an ambulance toy. it was broken and I was afraid it would catch fire, so I picked it up and switched it off, all the while carrying a sobbing, naked kid. But then the sirens resumed and there were blue and red colour in the entrance hall so I ran there and the door stormed opened and there were the Andes fro Hot Fuzz in SWAT gear and... MOTHER FLIPPIN TAIKA WAITITI IN A SIXTIES SPY POSE POINTING WITH HIS HANDS TOGETHER AND NO GUN AT ALL
He is sporting a black suit with satin lapels that looks very expensive, but he wears white tennis slippers, a black cotton t-shirt and an ugly felt pin of a flower over his chest pocket, with ridiculously small deep blue petals. I am staring at the pin when he breaks his ridiculous pose and says IN HIS VIAGO VOICE:
“I’m the Goldblum’s daughter godfather, what happened?” (yeah, the dreaming me was also like whaaaaaaat lolololol)
“They tried to steal my daughter. I found him in a closet. The other is dead”
He took the boy while saying “I always suspected them” and he hugged him while whispering “It’s ok now” to his ear. Still in his Viago voice. Then he looked at me and he realised I’d been through hell and (dream logic) he hugged me simultaneously and told me everything was going to be alright. And I woke up.
Now hear me out, babies, hear me out. I’ve been through a lot for this past few years and when I had that dream, I was on all day in bed 5 day streak after a faint hint of recovery that lasted barely a week and was preceded of months and months of oversleeping and only showering once in two months, medication with undesirable side effects, and well... your average depressive state.
When I woke up from that dream after running up and down the stairs of a house full of broken but never discarded toys, protecting a daughter that wasn’t there, in a role that wasn’t mine, in a place I had no idea how I had ended up in, after saving a naked, terrified kid, after seeing another one go, Taika hugged me and told me it was alright. The very personification of Comedy and Humor came to save me and held me and told me that it was all over now. And I felt such relief when I woke up...
Thanks, Taika of my dreams. Thank you for telling me that things are starting to work like they are supposed to inside my head because I couldn’t tell.
Also, this is very important, if someone could please draw Taika in The Pose from the end? That would be the greatest service ever done for the human race. It’s not personal. Thanks.

Author Interview – Thea Hutcheson (Eclectica Bundle) http://bit.ly/2GnJ6qs
Welcome back, everyone! Today I’m welcoming Thea Hutcheson, one of the authors from BundleRabbit’s Eclectica Bundle, to the blog for a chat.
Sherry: Hi, Thea, and welcome! To start, please tell us a little about the story/book you have in Eclectica.
Thea: When Megan moves into her new house, things begin to disappear. Weird things like socks, and decorative pins, and a cheap class ring. Things she just saw recently and don’t have a lot of value, but she misses them all the same. She can’t decide whether to blame it on her cheating ex or a klepto ghost. When her best friend sends a geeky ghost hunter her way, Megan finds a new chance for romance and something she never expected in her wildest dreams.
Sherry: That sounds like a lot of fun (and I love that cover)! What’s your current writing project? How do you feel about it right this minute?
Thea: My current WiP is a lesbian urban fairy tale. I love fairy tales. I love to play with them. This one is the second in a series. It is based on the Crystal Orb, the story of a young man, part of triplets whose mother went mad and thought they were trying to steal her power. She had banished two of them and the third got away. He goes on an adventure, meets, giants, acquires a magic hat that takes him anywhere he wants and meets an enchanted princess.
In my story the boy who gets away is a teenage girl and she spends the next thirteen years trying to find a spell to cure her mother’s madness and break the banishing spell that keeps her from her brothers. There’s magic and love and more magic in it.
Sherry: Do you remember what sparked the idea for your story/book in this bundle? What was it?
Thea: I wrote a story a long time ago as an answer to a fellow writer’s claim that no one could make a story about laundry interesting. I flipped the idea and flapped silly thing about, and it became “Fishing”, a story postulating one idea about what happens to the socks in the laundry. It was also my very first professional SF sale. Jim Baen’s Universe published it and then included it in the first Best of Jim Baen’s Universe.
So, I thought it was time to flip that story again and look at it from the other side and came up with “Sock and Pins and Aliens”.
I will have you know, I never lose socks in the laundry anymore as I use these super fancy clips to keep them together. Except that there was this one pair I really like, lacy and slinky, that I never did find after I put them in the washing machine.
Sherry: I also love writing stories in answer to a challenge. :)  And I’m always fascinated by where we get our ideas. Do you remember what sparked the idea for another of your stories?
Thea: Oliver Sacks was a great neurologist and a super cool dude. He wrote a ton of books that, among other things, were full of fascinating anecdotes about people with brain diseases and injuries. He was a wonderful speaker and a frequent guest on Science Friday on NPR. One time, right before he died of cancer (I think or at least they aired it before he died), he told this marvelous story about tripping on acid when he was younger. He was sitting on the floor of his apartment facing a blank wall. “Show me indigo,” he commanded his tripping self. And it appeared on the wall.
After that episode, I wondered what it would be like to have that blob of indigo show up and then walk through it. Where would it lead? That became the kernel of “Seeing Indigo”. I always call it my homage to Oliver Sacks story, even though the only part that relates is the color indigo. But I loved him and I like to think he would have approved.
Sherry: What’s the most perfect short story you’ve ever read?
Thea: There was this story by Kit Reed. I looked for it online, but couldn’t find the collection it was in. It was a perfect set up story. She always had such a wicked sense of humor and timing. I think it was called The Nest. I loved her work. Also, anything by Robert Sheckley. He is wickedly sharp. I wish I could do wicked sharp. Or “At the Rialto” by Connie Willis. I adore her sense of humor and I love to talk politics with her. She is just about the most well-read human I know.
Sherry: I adore Connie Willis!  I wish I could write with the fun and complexity of her humorous stories, and the depth of character of tales like Blackout and All Clear.
So speaking of interactions with other writers, do you belong to any writer’s groups or communities? Do you think these types of social interactions are important for writers?
Thea: I belong to Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers and a couple of critique groups. I have a lot of writer friends. I think they are critical. Look, we spend hours in a room by ourselves, making shit up. Our writer friends can help us improve that shit and understand what we go through to get to that golden shit. Plus, they understand, or at least overlook, those weird little foibles we have.
Sherry: Agreed! I treasure my writer friends. Looking back even further, do you think there were early influences as a reader that have guided the stories you create as a writer? What were they?
Thea: Oh, Andre Norton for sure. I loved her books. The librarians would hold them for me and give me a new stack when I came each week. I collected them for a long time. Mary Stewart was another. I loved her books. Danny Dunn books too. I never cared that he was a boy. I took the message that I could do all that stuff myself and so my characters do, too.
Sherry: Do you prefer music, silence, or some other noise in the background when you write? If music, what kind?
Thea: Music. I love music, especially love songs when I work. I am especially into Yacht Rock on Amazon Music right now. Great station. Blast from the past and all that.
Sherry: I’m always interested in other writers’ workspaces, too. Do you keep a tidy desk/workspace, or a messy one? Do you think one or the other helps your creativity?
Thea: I have a sign in my office that says, “Tidy people don’t make the kinds of discoveries I do.” I think that says it well.
Sherry: I know what you mean. When I tidy up, I take a picture so I can remember what it looked like. ;) Apart from keeping a messy desk, do you have any writing “rituals”? What are they (if you’re willing to share)?
Thea: I use The War of Art by Steven Pressfield like an AA Big Book, opening it at random now to get a reminder of how creative people combat Resistance.
Sherry: Great idea! So one more question: many writers also put their creativity to use in ways other than writing. Do you consider yourself a “creative person?” What other creative outlets do you have?
Thea: I am creative. I love to fool around with recycled materials. I make petroglyphs from rocks that I get on road trips. My boyfriend is so well trained that he just pulls over now when there are interesting rocks on the side of the road. I often grind up the rocks and mix them with glue and use them to fill in the lines in the petroglyphs. Beautiful stuff, even if I do say so myself.
Sherry: Thea, thanks so much for stopping by to chat; this was fun.
Thea Hutcheson explores far away lands full of magic and science with one hand holding hope and the other full of wonder.  Lois Tilton of Locus called her work “sensual, fertile, with seed quickening on every page. Well done…” Her work has appeared in such places as Hot Blood XI, Fatal Attractions, M-Brane Issue 12, Baen’s Universe Issue 4, Vol. 1, the Beauty and the Beast Issue of The Enchanted Conversation, Realms of Fantasy’s 100th issue, and Fiction River’s Recycled Pulp anthology.  September 2016 will see her latest story, “Hoarding” appear in Fiction River’s Haunted anthology. She lives in an economically depressed, unscenic, nearly historic small city in Colorado with four semi-feral cats, 1000 books, and an understanding partner.  She’s a factotum when she’s filling the time between bouts at the computer. You can find Thea online at her website, theahutcheson.com on Twitter, and on Facebook.

Where to Read Serial Fiction Online
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
Some days, it’s impossible to sit down to read a long book. Maybe you’re waiting to be admitted to an appointment, or maybe you’re standing in line. You might be on public transit, where balancing that hardcover doorstopper you checked out of the library is simply impossible. In those moments when your attention could be drawn to something else at any moment, it’s convenient to have something shorter to read.
That’s where the current renaissance of serial fiction comes in. Publishers like Serial Box, Amazon, and apps like Tapas have created a host of short reading experiences when you only have twenty minutes (or less) to spend looking at your device. To know where to get your serial fiction online, whether on your phone or your computer, check out these recommendations to get your fix.
Serial Box
My all time favorite serial app is Serial Box. The Serial Box team has been creating original serials from writers-room style writing teams, much like how television shows are written. As their library of original content has grown, they’ve also adapted several previously published projects, such as the Associated Press’s nonfiction 1776: The World Turned Upside Down, for their platform, as well as classic reads and short fiction. The original serials span a wide variety of genres, from their first urban fantasy serial, Bookburners (now completed) to their recent prose adaptations of Marvel and DC superhero properties like Jessica Jones (currently running) and The Flash (coming soon). Some of the serials are available for free, while most offer either a subscription model or a one-time season purchase.
One of the biggest perks of Serial Box serials is that any episode purchased includes the audio version, which is great for readers who need their fiction on the (literal) run. Narrators for the serials have included Tatiana Maslany, who narrates the characters she depicted on screen in the Orphan Black serial; Summer Glau of Firefly and Alphas as the reader of Alternis, a futuristic LitRPG; David Tennant and Catherine Tate, who share the narration of Serial Box’s Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor Adventures; and Hamilton stars Chris Jackson and Nicholas Christopher, who appear in 1776. The app also makes it super easy to switch back and forth between listening to audio and reading the prose (in case your run is interrupted and you just want to finish your story on the sly).
Fans of SFF will recognize a ton of luminaries and award-winners who have contributed to the library of serials: Max Gladstone, Amal el-Mohtar, Yoon Ha Lee, Becky Chambers, SL Huang, Rivers Solomon, Tananarive Due, Stephen Barnes, Malka Older, Fran Wilde… the list goes on!
Radish
Radish features thousands of stories in their library, many from a wide variety of self-published authors. Some authors also choose to pre-release portions of titles on the app to drum up anticipation for upcoming releases. A community feature also allows readers to interact with each other and share their thoughts on the stories. The app boasts writers from television shows including General Hospital and Days of Our Lives, as well as emerging writers. Readers subscribe to stories for micro-payments, starting below a dollar, that are charged with each episode. Readers can search by genre as well as tags (including “werewolf,” “rebellion,” and “blackgirlmagic”) to select their titles. Some of the top series include Radish originals Torn Between Alphas and Vampire Prep.
Tapas
Tapas offers comics and novels, some available from traditional publishing houses, such as Hachette, who have licensed their books (such as excellent kid’s book The Wild Robot by Peter Brown) to the app. Most of the serials are from self published authors, including (now movie-famous) Andy Weir, whose The Martian was originally a serial at his own website before it was a feature film. The majority of the library on Tapas is completely free to read, but other premium stories have to be unlocked with coins and keys, available in micro-transactions.
The biggest draw-back of the app is that the bite-sized chunks are very small, so readers won’t likely want to just get by on the keys and coins they can “earn” from the app’s promotions. The big benefit is that you get both prose and comic stories—and sometimes the same story is published in both formats, such as app exclusive, They Say I Was Born a King’s Daughter. Some in-app purchases go to directly supporting the creators, so they can do more writing!
Wattpad and Tap
Wattpad is one of the oldest and best known online indie serial hosting sites. Because they’ve been around for a long time, they have a huge library to browse through in a host of genres. They’ve also dabbled in interactive fiction with their messaging-based story serial app called Tap, which gives serials an extra sense of immediacy that mimics some of the fun of an alternate reality, transmedia game like Andrea Phillips’s brilliant The McKinnon Account. The stories are animated like a text screen, so readers follow a “live chat” with each chapter, and the reader’s choices can help decide the story.
Chapters: Interactive Stories
Like in Tap, readers can influence the direction stories take in Chapters. While the choice options aren’t as extensive as games from Choice of Games or the Choices series, throughout the novels, readers are able to make subtle changes to the narrative. Some choices are premium, and require in-app currency to purchase. Readers can unlock (rent) a full story for one day, or they can read in small bite sized chunks and put the app away until they receive the daily check in bonus. For readers who enjoy reading something once (rather than rereading), these quick reads are entertaining fun.
Bookshots
Bookshots is James Patterson’s bite-sized fiction project: two novellas come out each month, priced at $3.99. Patterson is the idea man while his co-writers do the heavy prose lifting, and several dabble in Patterson’s previously established worlds, including his Alex Cross books. The library contains two genres: thriller and romance, both of which lend themselves well to the shorter format.
Long Shorts
What about an app that delivers story content the way you’d keep up with your friends via social media? That’s the conceit behind Long Shorts, an app that delivers stories in a host of genres: fantasy, comedy, romance, nonfiction, mystery, sports, realistic YA, and classics converted to this new format. The stories update in “real time,” meaning readers only receive a short chunk of story at a time. If you’re interested in trying out this new social fiction format, download their app on Android or iOS.
Serial Reader
Rather than creating new content, Serial Reader focuses on making it so readers can access classic works of literature in bite-sized chunks. With more than 600 public domain books available (including Pride and Prejudice and The Time Machine), the app allows readers to customize the fonts and colors of their reading experience, and offers notifications when new issues are available. Each issue is designed to be read in 20 minutes or less, which means you don’t get so wrapped up in the story that you miss whatever appointment you’re waiting for!
The Lists
These websites aren’t apps, but they serve a similar function to apps Radish and Tapas: they provide listings of serial fiction popular around the web. If you’re looking for more than what we’ve investigated here at Den of Geek, visit either Top Web Fiction, a voting site where the most popular serials rank, and Web Fiction Guide, which has both curated and popular user lists. If you find a good one we haven’t covered, tell us about it!And to keep up with the serials we cover, keep an eye out for our next best serial fiction update!

You are telling me midnight dies?! I got spoiled damn I hope it hurts because I really love her. Tbh I don’t know where I stopped watching (no reason in particular is just I finished a season (I think it was the third one) when it was on date and when the new one started I didn’t have time so yeah yk). But I really hope it hurts and it’s beautiful (as beautiful as it can be) because as I said I really like her and she deserves a memorable death
Also I hope I kind of forget it (I won’t) by the time I retake the anime
Yeah she does die sadly..... And no she didn't die peacefully sorry to break it to you 😭. She should have gotten a more better death than the one she got. I cried all night long after I saw the episode then woke up and cried again when I watched the episode after it.
She was (and still is) one of my comfort characters and getting spoilers at the beginning of 2023 that she had died broke my heart literally. After getting that spoiler I couldn't watch past season 4 episode 12 knowing she'd die in one of the other seasons but I was finally able to watch the whole thing from the start at the end of December.
Also sorry for spoiling it for you!! I didn't even think there were other mha fans following me to be honest 😂
