Does anyone else have a character that they know would be so good to write for but there's little to no x reader fics of them out there yet? So you could have the monopoly of x reader fics on them but also be singled out and alone?

I've been on law backstory brainrot and one thing stuck on my mind is the topic of lies, wrt rocinante in specific. I find him fascinating as a character and it's like - the flashback focuses on law, of course, since it's part of his story, but it's still somewhat objective. we're shown some of rocinante's inner thoughts at times. he's kinda hard to pinpoint though, in terms of overall personality. there's the little brother and son of former celestial dragons, rocinante the marine, corazón the executive, and law's cora-san.
a line that stayed with me despite the kinda goofy context was law's the most ridiculous thing about you is the only part that's true, back when rocinante first revealed his motives after learning of law's full name. rocinante is sincere but not necessarily always-honest. it's all over his character too, what with being an undercover agent. rocinante lied to doflamingo and his crew, he lied to his adoptive father/father figure, he even lied to law, denying his identity as a navy officer and insisting doffy wouldn't kill him. even so, the one person he apologizes to? is also law.
we don't really know if covert operations within the marines were always his thing or just something he did because it involved his brother. regardless, rocinante was forced to lie for different reasons: for a greater good (his mission to stop doflamingo), for law's sake (stealing the op op fruit). when faced with the brat he'd grown attached to and wished to save, he lies again, but only because he didn't want law to hate him. there's just something painfully bittersweet about it. it's a little selfish too. he didn't regret lying to his older brother. he didn't express regret over lying to sengoku, the man who'd raised him like a son, either. it's in the moment of his imminent death and the exposure he subjected himself to so that law could escape, when he voices it out - I'm sorry for lying, I just didn't want you to hate me.
rocinante was willing to make an enemy out of everyone, even the organization he belonged to and the man who'd raised him, yet it was law he didn't wish to be hated by. his last direct words to law were I love you and an apology, neither of which he received a response to. rocinante died not knowing for sure if law felt the same or if he resented rocinante for his association to the marines but he didn't need to, anyway, because reciprocity wasn't the point. he saved law because he loved him and saving him was the right thing to do, not for the D or whatever destiny awaited law in the future, just because he was a kid who'd suffered so much and deserved to live and be free. this is pretty much what law's conversation with sengoku is about, too. don't ever attach a reason to the love you've received.
on the one hand you've got rocinante who died, uncertain of whether law hated him or not, for the lies and all, hoping to be remembered for his smile. not knowing law would build so much of his self and life around his cherished memories of cora. on the other, there's law who spent thirteen years being unable to realize how truly unconditional cora's love for him was in the end, up until the aftermath of dressrosa. such a tragic duo for real.

One thing I'll never be able to shut up about is Sengoku, the stoic Buddha, suddenly meeting his grandson.
Which he didn't even knew about at first.
And it's, of fucking course, a pirate captain.
One of the worst generations on top of that.
Buying himself his seat as warlord with 100 hearts like a lunatic.
What the heck did his sweet boy Rocinante see in such a menace?!!
Sure, the former fleet admiral isn't dumb.
He also trusts Rosi's judgment. And if he chose this snotty brat worthy to pay his life for, it will have his reasons.
(also, he may or may not have done his research and found that Trafalgar Law isn't such a bad lad. As if he would say that out loud, ever, though)
These two.
Bullheaded in their own way, both reluctant to accept the bond they now share through an unassuming marine that stumbled into both their lives...
The way Rocinante altered both of their lives in such an uncanny way.
As if these two can ever bring themselves to cut this tie.
Law dedicated his whole life and that of his crew to this man.
Sengoku questioned his whole path of justice, even going so far as to give Law a grandfatherly lecture on unconditional love.
I bet they write each other coded post cards to special holidays/ occasions now. Passive aggressive of course.
Sengoku finding an ominous package containing his favorite rice crackers somewhere...
Law stumbling on a picture of a certain blond kid attached to his new bounty...
"equivalent exchange"
Nah. These bickering adults are growing fond of each other over time.
That's just the magic of Corazón.
"Are you stupid? Why would you go to that island! Turn yourself in, already! You got no business in the yonko territories, you rookie!"
"Shut up, old man. Don't tell me what to do. And no, I won't come over for Christmas. I got rookie stuff to do. Like tasting my freedom. Talk to you later, geezer. Don't choke on your crackers"
Yeah. That's love right there.

Trafalgar Law, the Don Quixote brothers, and why Doffy takes such personal offence to the existence of Lawlu (Part 1: Faith)
1. How can you trust Straw-hat so much?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Doflamingo kicks up a huge fuss about Law forming an alliance with Luffy from the get go, and continues to go on about it till literal moments before he gets put down by Luffy at the end of the arc.
Up until this point we've seen Law act pretty casual about his relationship with Luffy – he saved him at Marinford on a whim, he's forming an alliance out of convenience, "this doesn't mean we’re friends". It isn't until we see Doflamingo's reaction to this development that we realize the importance it holds for Law's character, and stop to think about what it might represent, given the context of his past. To Doflamingo, who’s seen Law at his lowest – who’s seen the kid who’d stopped believing in anything, and wanted to destroy the world – Law’s faith in Luffy, who seems to stand in antithesis to all that Doflamingo stands for, is a huge fucking deal.
Doflamingo already knows, of course, what changed his heart all those years ago. But he asks anyway, because Law showing up here with Luffy, even after all this time, feels like salt being rubbed in the wound; Doffy’s pride can’t take it. Law gives him the easy answer – the simple, surface level answer. He trusts Luffy because he believes in the will of D, because Cora-san believed in the will of D.
But we all know there’s a lot more to it than that.
2. Why did you choose him, Law?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
13 years ago, Doflamingo lost Law, his chosen successor, to Rocinante. That’s what he’s seeing every time he’s faced with Law’s partnership with Luffy – that’s why he’s so hung up over it. Law being here with Luffy just serves as a reminder of him choosing Corazon, all those years ago. A reminder that even though it was Doflamingo who pulled the trigger to kill his own brother, in the end, Corazon won. They were both children of the same wretched circumstances, but where Doffy decided to destroy the world for what it had done to him, Cora chose instead to save it. Then along comes Law, another child ravaged by fate, and Doffy sees in him an exact mirror of his past. Sees a weapon, ripe for the taking  – one that might someday be used to destroy the world at his behest.
That is, until Corazon manages to save him, too.  And in trying to live up to the man Cora-san would want him to be, Law stumbles into becoming the sort of person who would stand side by side with the ‘fool’ that is Straw-hat Luffy.
3. Why do you want to die in vain ... alongside this dumbshit?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It isn’t about the Will of D, not really. The first time Law laid eyes on Luffy, he watched the guy punch a Celestial Dragon in the face without a second’s hesitation, because it was the right thing to do. If it weren’t for this moment, Law would never have been compelled to sail to Marineford, thus putting his entire crew in danger, to save the life of an almost-stranger bearing the initial of D. There’s a quality in Luffy that drew Law to him, and it’s the same sort of quality that incited Cora-san to ditch his mission and run off to save Law’s life.
It’s the sort of quality that Doflamingo, for all his talk, could never hope to understand.

The Haki belonged to Luffy! He was somehow held captive inside that little chest and was released by a purple light! (Yes, like a pokeball). However, our captain does not have time to talk to him, as a new individual appears out of nowhere… Rocinante!?

being a hater (lwl critique warning)
lol lmao i rly only respect ppl who ship lawlu who do it as a fun thing and dont try to make it super deep and emotional cuz they inevitably always make law sadder and more pathetic and i hate that so much
hes not lonely he doesnt need a "first sunshine in his life since rocinante"
lol and lmao you are plain wrong to want luffy to "save him"
actual story is that after rocinante law met bepo shachi and penguin and then all of his later crew members, he has connections that fill his heart
he is not some miserable lonely nerd with a broken heart that he needs luffy to mend it
thats not even close to canon law, it throws away so much of his character to fit your uwus it sucks
luffy is not even big on heart mending, in your scenarios luffy does it just by existing but again it sucks shit and would only work if law was some kind of lost soul in crisis
sorry i just saw untagged art and anon made me think abt how disrespectful ppl who claim to "like" law can be

One Piece Men as Dads/Father Figures to traumatized teens
@sleepy-bamboo requested this for Rocinante, but I couldn’t help but do two of my other favorite One Piece men as well! All of them would be/are such good dads honestly
This is my first time writing bullet list drabble like this, and I had a lot of fun with it. Let me know how you guys liked it!
Tumblr media
Donquixote “Corazon” Rocinante
He met you when he was traveling with Law. You were only a few years older than the boy, and just sort of started following the two of them around because you had nowhere else to go
At first, Cora was annoyed. He had enough to do with Law on his hands, and now another kid? With JUST as much attitude as the first one? Great
You gave him and Law SUCH a hard time about all the hospitals you went to and all the damage Corazon caused there, and he wondered to himself why you didn’t just leave
He found you wrapped in his feather coat one night when Law had fallen asleep, crying softly to yourself
Cora felt awkward at first but knew you needed some support, so he came up and sat next to you wordlessly
You told him to go away at first, and that you wouldn’t be giving his coat back anytime soon
But Cora didn’t go away. Instead, he softly put a hand on your shoulder and quietly let you cry and be angry, using his devil fruit to keep Law from overhearing (the kid looked up to you like an older sibling)
Eventually, everything started pouring out. The home you’d run away from, the trauma you’d had to shoulder entirely on your own, you couldn’t keep yourself from telling him everything you’d experienced that had left you on your own at just 15
Which sounded very familiar to Donquixote “My brother murdered my father in front of me” Rocinante
“You’re not alone, y/n. I hope you know that. You and Law and I are a family now, if you want us to be.”
You shrugged your shoulders and said nothing, but still scooted closer to him.
Reading your body language, Corazon softly wrapped an arm around you and just let you cry, watching the snow fall on the sea with you
The next day was when you started calling him Dad. It wasn’t long until Law started doing the same
Aokiji
Tumblr media
He found you hiding in a small cavern after the War of the Best, a shiphand who barely even had a rank in the Navy.
You hadn’t wanted to be there, but your commanding officer had insisted everyone fight—especially you, who were constantly getting in trouble for attitude and insulting your fellow crewmates
You had never been more afraid in all your life—you’d never wanted to be a fighter, you were only in the Navy because you needed money to pay for your sick father’s treatments
Now you’d been abandoned by your commanding officer and your crew, you’d watched some of them die right before your eyes, and you sat shaking in the dark of the little cave, tears streaming down your cheeks
“Hey, uh… are you injured, Cadet?” He asked, walking in when he saw you
You shook your head. “Just leave me the fuck alone.”
Aokiji laughed out loud—it had been years since anyone had talked to him like that and it made him think of his own teenage years
He held out a hand to you. “Looks like you’re in need of a new commanding officer.”
You shook your head, burying your face in your arms. “I don’t even think I want to be in the Marines anymore.”
Aokiji smiled softly, and peeking through your arms you could see the kindness on his face. “Come to my ship and think it over, then. I have a battle of my own to fight soon, but it’s Marine vs. Marine so you and the rest of my crew will be safe on the ship. What do you think?”
You wiped your eyes and looked up at him. “Promise i won’t have to fight anyone?”
Aokiji lightly reached down and linked his pinky with yours. “Promise, little cadet.”
Swallowing hard, you squeezed his hand as he helped you up and led you out of the cave
He gave you a room right next to his office and told you to come to him anytime you needed anything
It took a while, but eventually, you did 💙
Shanks
Tumblr media
You were a new addition to the crew, and a tough one too
Shanks had never seen someone as young as you fight with such wild veracity, like the only thing you had to lose was your blood and you didn’t care much about that to begin with
At first he was impressed
Then he was…concerned
After a particularly tough battle, you were nearly killed because you just would not stay down. Injury after injury had piled up as you fought pirates like a cornered animal, and now you were confined to the doctor’s ward for what looked like at least a week
You were restless, pacing around the room (limping on your broken leg) whenever the doctor left. You couldn’t sit still, you couldn’t stand that the rest of the crew was fighting battles and having adventures without you
Eventually they had to lock you in because you kept leaving the doctor’s ward
Shanks came to visit you one afternoon, during a rare moment where you’d succumbed to exhaustion and fallen asleep on the bed
He couldn’t get over how peaceful you looked in that moment—so different from the spitfire you normally were. He wondered if there was a time in your life when you’d really been so peaceful, or if you’d always had to fight just to survive
“Kid…” he said faintly, almost to himself. “You deserve the world.” He brushed the hair from your face. “This crew might not be the world, but I’ll be damned if I’m not gonna fight tooth and nail to get you the peace you need.”
As your captain spoke, you smiled a little in your sleep
“We’ll figure you out, kid. After all, you’re our family now.”
He left the room, and you slept for almost 12 hours that night

WIP Wednesday, to continue on from this piece from last week.
Don't know why I decided to draw with a pen like I'm back in high school, but it was fun! More shading and details need to be added for sure on this.
Decided to have a couple shot of Tech and Sjael at Glitch and Tech's wedding on Pabu (They're Techs from a different reality: Tech does not have multiple wives, lol).
This would be a few months after both Far Past the Ring and Into the Techiverse. Tech's an officer within the Transport Union under Camina Drummer, he officially goes by 'Teki Drummer', and he and Sjael have tied the knot with the Rocinante crew and Clone Force 99 in attendance.
Their families are safely on Medina Station, and they are starting to show that: Tech's got a beard and both he and Sjael are rocking comfortable, but fancy, duds for this ceremony. Of course Tech is never going to give up those damn pouches, where do you think he puts his data pad/cigars/flasks/fidget spinners?

Parallels in Trigun and One Piece.
Tumblr media
Today I would like to share my thoughts about the parallels and references in One Piece, which I noticed for myself when watched the anime Trigun — both versions old and new (and yes, I came to them after I caught up with OP ongoing). I may have imagined something, but some parallels suggest themselves. I think Oda-san, like many other mangakas, took a lot of inspiration from Yasuhiro Naitou's classic work.
Analysis may and does content ! spoilers !
1. First of all, from the direct references and easter eggs of Oda-sensei, I would note the similarity of Sanji holding a wounded Zoro on his shoulders, bandajed like a cross, in the Wano arc with Nicholas D. (!) Wolfwood, with his big weapon-cross at the ready. It was a funny gag from Odacchi :)
Tumblr media
2. Then, the "Sandsteamer" in Trigun reminded me very much of the "Sea Train" in OP. I don’t know if this is a reference or not, but they definitely have something in common. The principle of movement of steam vehicles in an atypical environment.
Tumblr media
3. Another point - the antagonist character of one of the episodes (just about the Sandsteamer), Brilliant Dynamites Neon, very much reminded me of Arlong, both with his toothy design and his charisma.
Tumblr media
4. Well, the gang of the Donquixote family reminded me in many ways in its diversity of Knives’ organization “The Gung-Ho-Guns”. (And also it reminded me the BB crew too).
Tumblr media
5. Well, the most important parallel for me is the clear and definite similarity of the story and the contrast between the main characters of Trigun - Knives Millions and Vash the Stampede with the Donquixote brothers. I’ll go into more detail here, because there are plenty of references, besides the fact that each of them is a handsome blond.
💙💙💙
▪️If Vash, in fact, bears little resemblance to Rocinante, except for his wounded and scarred body and the fact that, unlike his brother, he is also kind and soft-hearted. Both of them often play the fool, posing as awkward, stupid simpletons (with different goals, of course), and at the same time almost never show outsiders their deeply sad soul, traumatized by losses and experiences.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
▪️Doflamingo personality as character imo was largely inspired as personality of Knives, as it seemed to me. The parallel is that he and his brother are similarly representatives of a superior (in their opinion) race, but they only treat ordinary people differently.
Tumblr media
▪️Knives and Doflamingo, unlike their kind brothers, are evil incarnate. Proud, arrogant and cruel. Intolerant and merciless towards human weaknesses and any manifestations of kindness and gentleness. Both have a justified and (from their pov) very logical reason to hate people as a race and the whole world order.
And both also have a plan to destroy the world that does not suit them and build their own, ideal one. Both of them are involved in the murder of people dear to their brothers (father for Roci, Rem for Vash). Well, in both cases, the good brothers are trying with all their might to prevent the implementation of the grandiose plans of the evil brothers.
Tumblr media
▪️Well, I must say that the showdown between Vash and Knives ends in the anime much less disastrously than that of Doffy and Roci. But even in the general plans of these scenes, analogies and parallels are visible, as it seemed to me. 😢
Tumblr media
Well, as you know, the brilliant refers to the great. I'm glad that for all their similarities, these stories and characters turned out to be different. Oda may have been inspired by the work of his predecessor, but he created his own epoch-making story with a great plot and beloved, touching characters.
Russian translation below 👇
Параллели и отсылки к Тригану в One piece.
The Gung-Ho-Guns".

Probably the most cogent thought I have on The Expanse as of right now (beginning of Persepolis Rising) is that I feel that the series would've benefited from a much wider temporal scope. I actually think it would be quite a lot better if it'd pulled focus away from the crew of the Rocinante after Abbadon's Gate. I know they're the main characters, but like... hell, Alex gets almost zero characterization until Cibola Burn. They could have been abandoned in favor of other, newer characters.
I understand that carrying the same cast of characters through an entire series is a pretty tried-and-true way to show worldwide change on a long time-scale, since it allows you to use the characters' own changing or unchanging perspectives to demonstrate that worldwide change. Really, the problem is that The Expanse does a great job showing the world's changes irrespective of the characters; it's got that A Song of Ice and Fire flair (for obvious reasons) of presenting the same world from different angles through different characters without challenging the objective reality of the situation. (I mean.... yeah WoT does it too, but for aptness' sake...) This means that the series doesn't really need that through-line cast to demonstrate its strengths properly.
I would've loved it if Cibola Burn would've fully cut Holden's perspective in favor of a few scatterings of Amos chapters and leaning more heavily on Elvi, then phased the Roci out altogether. Look, I love the crew. They're a fantastic main cast. But I started to have difficulty suspending my disbelief in Nemesis Games; how the hell are these people this insanely exceptional? Wasn't the point at the start that they could've been anyone?
I'm still enjoying the series immensely, but... I'm hitting the point where I feel like the timeline is getting unnaturally condensed purely to keep the same characters around. This does fit with the authors' stated intent to "show the part in the middle" between first contact and galactic colonization, but I guess I'd say I don't understand what point the authors are making anymore. I thought I understood it about a book and a half ago, but I'm starting to lose the plot--literally.
This may be reader error, and I'm hoping it is, because I'm staring down the barrel of Act 3 not even knowing why it's pointing a gun at me. Oh well, plenty of pages left to be proven wrong.

City Of Dust - OP Modern!AU
Hi guys!
In the last few days one of the AU, which I post here, has become unexpectedly popular. I mean One Piece Modern!AU, of course, so I'm going to talk a little about it here.
I made this story with my best friend, Kago (she's a cool artist, check her blog @kagolag), but we work together only on LawLu part, so I'm the only one here who you can blame for the terrible approach to other stories in this AU.
As you can see, this AU is called 'City Of Dust'. It's modern story, where street bandits are instead of pirates, so most of the One Piece crews is gangs here. For example, we have Mugiwaras to talk about, yep? Luffy, of course, is boss. He lives with his brothers, Sabo (who's studying to become a lawyer) and Ace (who's one of the capo of Sira Hige's Gang), in an old hangar on the edge of town. They're young and poor, but they're family and they care for each other. Zoro is underboss - Luffy's loyal consigliere. His dad owned a Shinto Temple called Shimotsuki, and his mom was an underboss in a gang too. But Zoro lost his family when he was eight years old, and Mihawk found him in the Shimotsuki and got sole custody on him. So Zoro is a swordsman like Mihawk, has a motorbike like Mihawk, and, besides he's a bandit, he's headhunter like Mihawk. Sanji is a young chief in his own small eatery called All Blue. He's Zeff's beloved son and pupil, but Zeff forced him to leave Baratie so Sanji could pursue his own goals and create the best restaurant in the city.
Are these all characters you've already seen? No, I think you possibly saw Law, so I have to tell you about him too, right? Law is not a gang's boss, as you might expect. He works for Doflamingo as Corazon, but against his own will. He do it because Doflamingo holds his foster father, Rocinante, hostage. So Law follows all Doflamingo's orders to keep Cora safe. Law is a great surgeon, and he dreams of escaping with Cora-san, become free and spend his life as a regular doctor.
Unfortunately, all text content in this AU is written in Russian, but I will post drawings, scetches and concepts in English here, so you won't miss anything. And to find all of City Of Dust content in Tumblr you just need to check #OP_CityOfDust hashtag (you can click it under this post). If you have any questions about this AU, please, feel free to ask me about it in this blog. And thanks for your attention!

Finished Holden’s Griffin GRF-2N, so I guess it’s time to work on six UrbanMechs so the whole crew can get in on the Urbie Derby, and then…? No idea on the Rocinante Company front, but I do need to paint Drummer’s Marauder II and get her a lance.

Amos Burton on The Expanse: (Disclaimer I’ve have listened through Book 6 and watched the series, but I have not read any further at this point 5/29/2023. I’ve also read no commentaries or podcasts about the character.) From reading “The Churn” and reading Book 5/Season 5, I know Amos grew up rough and the trauma he endured shaped him. Whether his character is shaped by having to cut off emotions to survive, PTSD, a flavor of Autism, or something else. Or two or more or all of those things combined shaped Amos I don’t know. But he is one of the most endearing characters in the series. Each of our main cast of characters have some trait or more than one that help us identify with them and shape them as outsiders to the universe.
Amos is ready to fight, ready to do what is needed, ready to drink and enjoy the pleasures available to him.  But while he could be shaped as a wild west outlaw that is not who he is. Those things sit on the exterior, but under it all lies the resolution of loyalty and respect. We see it in his attachment to Naomi at first. But we see the other members of the crew slowly earn it through out the series. Woe to anyone who comes at the people he has called family! I’m not going to go into his relationship with all of the main crew. But want to focus on some who come in along the way. We see him adopt people through out the series. Some people wards under his protection, some as friends, some as siblings, and some as something more. I’ve put a few photos above showing him and them. But not all. Prax is someone he adopts to protect him and help him, but he quickly becomes a friend. Amos has all the power in the relationship, but Prax shows him respect, drive for family, and loyalty. Amos learns from Prax and grows because of it.
Reverend Anna is both idealistic and realistic. Her faith is strange to Amos. He again seeks to protect her and help her. She shows him what the balance of idealism and realism looks like and how faith comes in.
Bobbie and Amos have a strange relationship. They are equals in so many ways. Her strength and drive earn his respect. He admires her and would lay his life down for her. It is almost like a twin relationship, but with a very non-family sexual tension there. But sex and romance are not exactly tied together for Amos, again because of his upbringing. I think he could see himself with Bobbie sexually and it would not change his relationship with her. But I think he sees that that it might not be the same for her.
Lastly up is Peaches. Here is a woman who was driven to end the life of Amos’s brother Holden. So she is set against his crew family. Yet she redeems herself. Something about her intrigues Amos. She has strength and drive he appreciates. Yet I think it is her emotions and depth that pull him in the most. Enough that he goes and visits her and ends up rescuing her. I think he has grown and changed through the series. I could really see the two of them in a relationship that extended beyond found family and physicality. It would look very different from the traditional. But that is not who Amos is, even with all his growth.  So even with a couple of books/comics left to read, I think we will see Amos as a part of his crew family, but not in a relationship at the end. That makes me a bit sad, but feels true to his character. But no matter how it goes I’m excited to see where it takes this crew that I love so much. I’ve decided to read the comic story before listening to book 7 through the end. So I’ll have to wait a bit. But I’m fine with that.    rabbit is, without a doubt, a beautifully kind and selfless person, who wants so badly to wrap us all in cozy blankies, when he deserves the same in return. i have never met a more patient, calming, and warm person. and when i see him on my dash or whenever he's in my DMs sending me stuff, regardless of what it might be, i can't help the smile that comes onto my face. i've said similar before and i'll say it again, but talking to rabbit is akin to a gently rocking boat or the vibrations felt when sitting on a sea wall while waves crash into it. that sounds so cheesy, but i personally find being on or near the water calming, so that's what i associate the rabbit with lol
that being said, he and i started talking here, on luffy's blog originally, where i immediately held him at water gun point demanding straw hat Cora.  i really really love his portrayal of Cora and we share several similar headcanons between the two of us, so this definitely helped kick off some of our early discussions. that and i think the very first thing we talked about was muay thai, because it's in my discord bio.
anyway, the rest was history after that, because then i dragged rabbit into everything: so many threads for cora and luffy, all the smoker and cora content ( which eventually transformed into a whole backstory with rocinante involved and an unexpected ship ), straw hat interactions with his OC Eden, and then most recently, i virtually grabbed rabbit by the shirt collar and shook him around to once again make a demand, that Eden be a part of my OC Boog's crew. that's exactly how it all went. if he says otherwise, it's a lie.
rabbit is also incredibly smart and creative. he's super talented with knitting, even if he can't make two socks at once. his dioramas and monster furbies are super cool too, and i love when he wants to talk about them with me and tell me about it!! on top of that, despite an undoubtedly stressful and exhausting job, he doesn't mind my rants about work, he tolerates my tangents and rambles, he deals with me when i'm stressed, and he humors all the ideas that swarm in my brain like bees. how does he do it all and ALSO tap trees during sugar season?? i don't know. he truly is amazing~
anyway, sorry again, this got so long, but all-in-all i don't think i can find the right words to truly say how much i appreciate rabbit. he deserves all the love and affection and then more!! anyway i'm gonna go cry now because i got all sappy and emotional from running on three hours of sleep and red bull ;-; i love you rabbit <3 it's my turn to wrap you in a cozy blanket and make you some tea
