how would you torture killian psychology in the underworld?
Psychologically... Hades would make him think that he's talking to his actual family members or support system when in actuality, they're all illusions. The magic would read Killian's regrets or nightmares and filter them into illusions. Liam would be telling him how hurt he is that Killian became a pirate and never stopped becoming an alcoholic, how he disowns him as a brother bc he can't believe he failed as an older brother to guide Killian to the good side. Maybe to rub it in, illusion Liam might rub in that he's in the underworld bc he had regrets over leaving Killian alone after a stupid death by dreamshade, but after seeing the pathetic mess that Killian had become, he feels ashamed to have wasted his life trying and sacrificing so much for Killian when his little brother never amounted to much. Brennan wouldn't be winning dad of the year, but I expect his illusion to make Killian regret killing him by leaving Liam 2 behind as a fatherless orphan. I also want him to say that he "honestly, bc being dead gives him nothing left to lose" was so glad that that he left Killian behind bc his kid self was so needy for love and attention, another mouth to feed with the wars and taxes going on, but regrets not taking Liam with him.
If going onto David, it would be how he'd never accept Killian, no matter what he says, but only tolerates him bc he doesn't want to ruin his relationship with Emma.
Emma, well, she would go on about how upset she would be over Killian being weak to the darkness to how Killian never shares with her his past, despite them living together and prepared to be with one another for life. She'd say about how she'd let down her walls but he can't give her one small bit about his past, even though she's supposed to be the one he can share stuff with. Maybe there'd even be a hint of how Killian is too stubborn for her liking and has the loudest snoring, a turn off for her.
For the whumpy bits, maybe the illusions could be tortured versions of characters, whether physically shown or just audio of screams, whimpers, and cries of help being echoed throughout the chambers. Hades taunting that he could make it stop if Killian decides what to do next, aka get tortured instead of the loved one, giving Emma or someone else relief from the suffering for an hour or so. No one is truly getting hurt but Killian, yet Hades loves to see his defiant and strong acting side drop as he grits his teeth and agrees to the torture, Hades not giving in until Killian begs for the pain to begin.
Keeping Killian always walking on eggshells, unable to anticipate his next move. Despite being dead, Killian can feel every physical thing as if he were alive, being kept on the brink of exhaustion, sleep deprivation, hunger pangs galore, and being messed around with mind games and rounds of torture. His punishments for being boring or mini breaks from everything are always solitary in that open cell area. I want to say that his cell is always filled with audio playing of his worst moments that he regrets or Captain Silver shouting commands at him, taking him back to his fearful days as a kid, but knowing he can't do anything fulfilling the orders.
I don't have any more atm but what a great ask! Thanks for asking, Abby! XD

teen wolf is at its heart a show about teenagers turning into horrible monsters. their awareness of this fact alternates every other season. neatly sidestepped the constantly oneupping their villains until they have to fight god problem that so many teen dramas fell for by just doing the same thing every single season and getting away with it.

white diamonds intro was so FUCKING GOOD
ppl rag on later seasons and in terms of quantity I agree, but so many of my top favourite scenes are towards the end of the series

i want so badly to write meta about the beast of gavaudan and the how the whole beast/mason thing compares to previous seasons like jackson in s2 and void stiles and berserker scott but s5b is inarguably my weakest point of the entire show. Even during my rewatch, i didn't watch all of it because valack and the beast's origins are both soo boring that i skipped everything to do with them. Also unlike s3 and s5a, i very very rarely rewatch 5b so i can't even conjure the necessary information off the top of my head. all of which is so annoying.
like i could do soo much with mason. the corruption of goodness aspect and scott, the reveal unfolding almost exactly like void stiles which of itself is somewhat similar to jackson, actually i have so much to say on how jackson is brought out of his, for lack of a better word, possession vs mason, ooh comparisons between mason, jackson and scott trying to escape peter's control in s1, the aspect of violation and recovery (which i'd want to use scott as a comparison but he got NOTHING after the berserker which is so fucking unfair when stiles got 2 goddamn seasons of a gorgeously built self destruction arc after the nogitsune [admittidly scott also gets a gorgeous 2 seasons worth of character struggles out of the nogitsune but it wasn't HIS possession so i'm disregarding it--really though s4 scott as a product of s3 trauma is done so well sometimes, almost makes the nonsensical portions worth it] ) so instead stiles's post nogitsune arc would work ig.
i'm almost tempted to actually write half that up in proper posts anyway but even if nobody else knew i was talking out of my ass with only the vaguest recollections of the season to back it up, I'd know and it'd bug me for the rest of eternity.

My wish of the day,
I want 911 writers to stop making others' trauma about Buck and I want them to stop mitigating and ignore Buck's traumas by tying him to some failed relationship storyline that mitigate his trauma and he doesn't end up dealing with it at all.
It's just being swept under the rug by him apologizing about a lawsuit or kissing the wrong girl or starting another failed relationship with the woman who just returned after running from him a few days before after learning about his life and thinks his death was cool.
Please, for the love of God, let him evolve from poor baby Buck to a man who grew and developed and faces/deals with his traumas head-on.
Or at least gets to the point where he knows he's reached a low and helped into therapy by the ppl who really love him. (Read: Eddie. Hell, at this point, I'll settle for Bobby or Athena, or even Maddie. But seriously - after S5b, it should be Eddie. )

theo and liam both constantly trying to prove themselves and expecting punishment.
theos inferiority complex. "because im not a real werewolf?" obviously asked with disdain and insecurity. his voice trembling when he says "i-im not a failure" when the dread doctors classify him as such. his goal of becoming an alpha not because he actually wants power, but because he wants to be stop feeling helpless. he wants to be in control, he wants to stop having to fear that he'll get killed in case he IS a failure. and in s6 he keeps trying to prove himself, to the pack liam this time. liam keeps lashing out (bc hes in denial and telling himself he shouldnt trust or like theo) and theo barely ever reacts, just keeps softly looking at him and never rises to the bait. he wants to be useful, he wants to belong. he wants to be close to liam.
ive already briefly talked about theos relationship with pain in a different post, but just to reiterate: his non-stop provoking words so that people (malia, stiles, liam) punch him, laughing when his bones break, saying "maybe it only responds to pain" about the captured ghostrider and when he said "physical pain becomes manageable." yeah. he definitely got tortured by the dread doctors as punishment. and he probably thinks he deserved it.
liams fear of getting punished/thinking he deserves to be punished. the way he asks "are you mad at me?" with the smallest voice and the saddest look on his face. as if hes used to getting harsh reactions (liams bio dad that we dont know anything about?? yeah.) and in this instance, it wasnt even his fault. his IED wasnt the reason he got into a fight with someone, he didnt even hurt anyone accidentally. liam is the one who got hurt and still, he asks his dad if hes mad, expecting punishment. when hes down in the well and hurts himself punching the wall, he thinks back to his dad telling him that when kids get angry, they either hurt others or themselves. how many times has liam hurt himself during or after an outburst? punishing himself for being the way that he is, for hurting others when he doesnt want to.
liam taking the beating from gabe & nolan is another example of this. thinking hes at fault, that he deserved to get beaten as punishment for bretts and loris death.
in s5b when scott tells him that he hasnt actually apologized yet and liam explains that he feels like he has to do more. that he has to save his life in order to repay him for the damage. and thats probably how most of liams life has been. constantly doing favors, offering help and working himself to the bone trying to atone for what he thinks hes done wrong. the idea of verbally apologizing bringing him shame and guilt, so he just tries to make it better with his actions. even though its not his fault, even though he doesnt have control over it. he just wants to be good. he wants to belong.
