Cece: Ugh, we’re gonna be DATING eachother?!

Chris: Nope, don’t worry! However there’s romantic tension on 3 of the teams, so I want each team to make a romantic scene for dinner for two! Whichever team does the worst loses.

Dennis: You said that only 3 teams had romance. What about the fourth?

Chris: That team is YOU, Mighty Wizards! So instead you guys can uh… walk through a haunted house for Halloween. Why not?

Dennis: *Sighs* I guess I will never find love…

Leopold: It’s me and Francesca! We were going to have a date last night but we moved it to tonight after I hurt my leg. Anyway, let’s get this date up and running!

Fredrick: We knew it was you and someone. I don’t have time for any women. But don’t call me “asexual” since I’m not part of any alphabet mafia. 🍷🍷🗿🗿🗿

Taniyah: Girl, we knew about this since last episode. Plus nobody would wanna get with you 🤭

Charlotte: Francesca, let’s make your date ethereal!

Cece: (to Self) I’ve seen these couples before. If I wanna win, I just gotta get one of them off, the other one will just be weak until they get eliminated. Easy peasy! I have a plan, but sadly it involves Fredrick.

Francesca: Oh, Leo, this date will be perfect!

*Fast forward a few hours, Mighty Wizards have completed the haunted house, its between Ferocious Monsters and Fearless Warriors*

Eliza: Well, one of us should confess if we want to actually make use of this place.

Jamil: I should confess… Ines! You’ve been a wonderful companion, may you want to go on the date with me?

*The team has built a dark wooden table, 2 chairs, and have prepared a wooden wall painted red. The table is lit with a candle*

Taniyah: This table gonna be amazing!

Cece: (To self) This should be easy.

*She “accidentally” trips into thin wall, making it crash onto the table, and it sets on fire*

Fredrick: Oh no!! Our table!! 🤣🤣🤣😂😂 It’s broken!! 🍷🍷🗿🗿

Francesca: It’s okay, Leo. We can still bring some of the set chairs by the river and dine on the pier!

Leopold: Sounds great! As long as your there!

Chris: FEARLESS WARRIORS LOSE! See you at the ceremony tonight!

Eliza: We should still finish this up. Let’s give Jamil & Ines a great date!

(A few hours later, the 2 tables are ready for Wyatt & Sigita, and Jamil & Ines)

Jamil: This is nice.

(Francesca goes by the dock and sets up the chairs)

Francesca: Alright, Leo had no injuries, so there should be no problem!

(As like last time, time passes by, and Leopold is nowhere to be seen)

Francesca: Ugh, what now? Does he not want to see me? Is he shy? *Francesca walks back to the cabin*

*Francesca walks up to the boys’ side, and hears talking between Leo and Fredrick*

Francesca: I don’t wanna eavesdrop but…

*Francesca listens closely*

Leopold: Yeah man, I’m glad I dodged a bullet Francesca, what an idiot woman!

*The two laugh*

Francesca: *gasps loudly* WHAT?! 

(The two hear her and open the door)

Frederick: Look, it’s that stupid woman🍷🍷🗿🗿

Francesca: LEOPOLD! HOW COULD YOU?! 

*Flash to her, Charlotte, and Taniyah*

Charlotte: Oh my! He just insulted like that?

Chris: Okay, cute, but I don’t care! Leo got four votes from Cece, Charlotte, Francesca, and Taniyah. Seeya Leo!

Francesca: WAIT!! I’m sorry Leo, I didn’t know the full story.. I can’t believe I got you eliminated!! I’m so sorry… I hope you can forgive me.

Leopold: It’s okay, maybe we can go on a date after the contest?

Dear Cyrus,

These are 10 of the times I got lost in your eyes.

When we went out for milkshakes after my first game of the season. You were telling a story about how your cousin drank his milkshake in 4 minutes flat, only to realize he was lactose intolerant. He never went out to eat with you again because you laughed at him for weeks. You laughed so hard telling the story that you started crying, but your eyes were lit up with joy.

When you came out to me in your basement. I made a joke about how girls would love a ping pong champion. You said you hoped the guys did too. The guys most certainly do. I was stunned into silence because I realized you wouldn't find it so weird that I thought your eyes were pretty.

That time we went on the Ferris wheel at Adrenaline City. You wouldn't look away from the spinning wheel, but I made you have a staring contest with me. You looked like you were about to cry until Marty spun the wheel and you screeched with your head in your hands.

When I had dinner at your house for your dad's birthday. I was helping serve cake when you said I had gotten frosting on my nose. You wiped it off with a napkin because I "wasn't getting the blue off." The blue didn't even come off after.

When I was getting you do do the high jump into the foam pit at Bouncy Castle Land. Andi and Buffy had always let you sit out, but I made you count to 10 with me before you let me push you off the platform.

When my cat had kittens and you were holding one, but it sneezed and you look at me smiling like a goof. I thought I could look at you smiling like a goof forever.

That time we were studying for my math test and you laughed at the drawing of my cat. When you laugh you get a sparkle in your eye. I got  B+ on that math test and you took me to the Spoon to celebrate.

When we were playing the second championship game and I looked over at you during the last timeout. Your smile made me want to win the game to make you proud even though you would be proud either way.

When Andi was thinking about going to New York for an art school, so you went to the swings to think about it. I told you that you were allowed to be upset about it because she was your best friend and you would miss her more if you were here instead of with her. Andi decided not to go.

When you got a brain freeze from eating a snow cone too fast at the fair.

9 times I almost held your hand.  Mostly times I missed my chance to.

When we went on that roller coaster and you said you couldn't feel your hands. I thought about it for a long time, but then we were upside down and I missed my chance.

When I watched your dance final and you were shaking when you finished, because when I'm shaking people holding my hands make me feel better but you were being hugged by Buffy before I got the nerve to.

When you came out to Amber at the Spoon, because she said she was frosting everything rainbow for pride month and you said you would definitely but a piece of cake for that, and she asked if you were LGBT+ and you paused and said you were gay. I didn't want to reach over the table so I didn't hold your hand.

When we were both laying on the couch but we couldn't reach the remote, so we both reached out to get it. I ended up falling off the couch.

When my cat scratched you and I helped you clean your hand, and I did technically hold your hand but I almost really held your hand.

When Andi was up for an art award and they were announcing winners. I started clapping to snap you out of peeling your fingernails. She didn't win, but she got 2nd place.

When we were having a sleepover and you turned over on the air mattress just to say "TJ, I LOVE dinosaurs." You started showing me shadow puppet dinosaurs, but you were too tired to do it right.

At Andi's slumber party, you were doing everyone's nails with Amber, and you painted mine yellow. "You're like my lemon boy, Teej. Or a sour-patch kid. Because you're sweet now," you said.

When Andi was upset about her parents not getting married and Buffy was hanging out with Marty again, you told me that you were afraid it was straining your relationship with them. I told you that if you could survive Celia becoming Ce-Ce and Buffy moving you could survive some change.

8 times I almost kissed you.

When we were at the pool and you did the big water slide, and you were so excited that you choked on the water. You laughed so hard that you had to get out of the pool.

When we met Amber's dog for the first time, and you thought he was the cutest thing in the world.

When we got churros at the fair. You got cinnamon on your nose and I still have no idea how.

When we had that pillow fight and you somehow got a hold of every pillow and it was like you had 3 pairs of nun-chucks.

When we were at the drive-in and you were holding all of the candy because Jonah had a broken arm. He said you wouldn't let him hold anything, but you said his arm was hurting. It was probably both.

That time at the lake when I jumped in, and you didn't want to jump in after me so you tried just walking into the lake but you slipped on the mud.

When we were swimming for Buffy's birthday party, Marty and Jonah flipped your floatie over. You complained about your hair the whole day, but I thought it looked better.

When you saw the shooting star on July 4th. Right after you saw it the fireworks started and the sound scared you.

7 times I almost told someone I liked you.

Buffy asked me after my first game of the season if I liked you, and I almost said yes. I said I didn't know.

My mom asked me why I had become so much happier lately. I said I was just having fun hanging out with you and everyone. Part of it was me being happy about coming out, but it was also being around you that made me so happy.

Jonah asked me how long we had been dating. He really thought we'd been dating for months.

I was paying for a Queen record when Bowie asked about the drawings on my hand. He asked me who drew it and when I said that you drew it, he said, "You two are pretty close, huh?" I just smiled and said yeah.

My cousins came over for Christmas. Addie is 8 years old and when she saw me texting you she said, "Why are you smiling so much? My mamma says people only smile that much when they're in love!" I thought it was really funny that she pointed it out before Buffy or Amber.

Jonah, Marty, and I were watching Love, Simon and they asked why I knew all of the emails by heart. It was nice to think of having a love story like that, even if it wasn't with you.

I almost told Amber's dog once, but Andi walked in before I said it.

6 times I did hold your hand.

When you were over and my parents started fighting while we played Mortal Kombat. I didn't want to feel scared like I always feel when they fight, even though I had never done it when they fought before.

When I came out to my dad. Or before, I guess. It made it easier having you there because I had someone there for me if my dad wasn't.

When you had a sleepover and we tried to watch all of Supernatural in one night. I fell asleep after a few episodes, but the first scene always makes me nervous.

When I was going into math class for the last test of the semester. You had worked with me the most and you believing that I could pass made me really want to pass the test.

When we listened to Paris by Sabrina Carpenter for the first time. It was more of me grabbing your hand and spinning you around to the music, but it counts.

When you brought me the blueberry macadamia muffin. That was one of the best muffins I've ever had, by the way.

5 times I almost called you at 2 am.

When my parents were fighting and I wanted to distract myself, but I ended up watching YouTube.

When Khalid announced his tour and I saw the post. You actually ended up calling me first.

When my cat threw up on my bed. I was really stressed but I got worried about the cat and told my mom instead.

After you dislocated your thumb when I tried to teach you how to play basketball. I was so worried that I couldn't sleep, but your mom posted on Facebook that you were fine so I let it be.

When I realized the song stuck in my head was Electric Love by BØRNS. Then I realized you were probably asleep, so I didn't.

4 times I did call you at 2 am.

When my dad told my mom that I was gay. I thought he was cool with it, but while they were fighting he said, "So YOU can have our abomination of a son." My parent decided to get a divorce later that week. I probably called you every week because I couldn't handle it.

When I realized another song that was stuck in my head was Maneater by Nelly Furtado. You didn't know what song I was talking about until I sang the "you wish you never met her at all" part.

When I had that nightmare where a clown came and attacked the whole town but you had an alliance with him but he was set on killing me so you died defending me then the clown died because he wasn't allowed to kill you.

When you texted me saying you hated crying at 2 am. You were crying about your stepdad making a homophobic joke. I said that he probably didn't mean it, and would stop once he realized he was directly hurting you. It still wasn't okay, though.

3 times I thought I had lost you.

When Reed brought that gun. I know I've said it dozens of times, but I didn't think he would bring it while you were there.

When your dad was thinking about moving to Texas and you got really excited, but your mom said she didn't want to give up custody so he stayed. I wanted you to be happy, but I also wanted to be with you forever and I wouldn't really want to be in Texas for months or years on end.

When Kira outed me to the school, and she looked at you when she said I was really obvious about it. I thought you weren't ready to come out in any way at school, but you said that our friendship was worth more than avoiding humiliation.

2 times I almost confessed.

That day when we couldn't reach the remote from the couch. Me falling off the couch made me forget about it, though.

When I came out to you. I was crying and you were almost crying and I have no idea why I was so terrified.

1 time I did.

Right now. I don't know why it's taken me so long, but with enough reassurance from Jonah and Andi, I'm writing this letter to you right now. I adore you, Cy. I want to be around you all the time. I would really, really like to kiss you. I know you might not feel the same, but I also know our friendship would survive a crush. I don't like keeping secrets from you. The last one is this: I like you. I like you more than I've ever liked anyone. And I had a teddy bear named Blueberry for 12 years until Reed blew it up. That's all.

The AARONS 2018 - Best TV Episode

Peak TV is tearing me apart trying to binge-watch every show that is epic, so defending individual chapters of these shows is a good way to remind oneself to not get so lost in the big picture. Here are The Aarons for Best TV Episode: 

#10. “Captain Underpants and the Costly Conundrum of the Calamitous Claylossus” (The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants, Season 1, Episode 7)

Even more so than the fun but formulaic movie of last year, The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants embraces the irreverent spirit of Dav Pilkey’s children’s books. This charming childishness is no more prominent than in “The Costly Conundrum of the Calamitous Claylossus,” in which the latest vile villain brings the world of the Wedgie Warrior from its traditional genial 2D animation to 3D Claymation, threatening its survival... due to, as the characters note, the budget cuts to their show needed to maintain such animation. This meta-narrative proved that, when it comes to the colossal undertaking of retaining the joy of Pilkey’s series, the Netflix Series is certainly wearing the pants.

#9. “A House Divided” (Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia, Season 3, Episode 10)

Trollhunters rose above the basic tropes at the backbone of its story thanks to the creative spirit of creator Guillermo del Toro. For its final season, del Toro’s influence was felt harder than ever, particularly in “A House Divided,” which marks protagonist Jim Lake’s fateful loss of innocence, a common theme among the director’s works. Jim’s journey has left him with an impossible choice, which renders the viewer nervously unable to breathe for the duration of the episode, only to culminate in an unforgettable ending that features only the sound of breathing. While spin-off series 3 Below may be off to a good start, it will be difficult for any of del Toro’s planned Tales of Arcadia to match the heights of his subterranean world of trolls.

#8. “I’m Not the Person I Used to Be” (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Season 4, Episode 8)

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’s final season is off to an affecting start, but has suffered from a sense of place-setting in its first half, the blessing and the curse of its extended episode order this year. However, the series’ endgame seems to have finally begun in its tight-knit mid-season finale, which saw the return of season 1 mainstay Greg like you’ve never seen him before… literally. Skylar Astin gets off on the right foot as the recasting of the role, a backstage change used within universe to demonstrate and further develop Rebecca’s changing sense of self as she seeks happiness and reconciliation, noble pursuits that make for notable television. That doesn’t sound so crazy now, does it?

#7. “Winner” (Better Call Saul, Season 4, Episode 10)

If Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has made excellent television out of the pursuit of personal growth, then Better Call Saul’s moral decay can perhaps be designated its mirror image. As with all of the show’s season finales, “Winner” is a product of bad decisions on the part of the characters, and great decisions on the part of the show’s creators. The episode acts as a microcosm of a season filled with exhilarating schemes, striking cinematography, and poignant decisions, culminating in a turn of events that remains shocking despite being known as inevitable. The episode title says it all. This one’s a winner.

#6. “Legends of To-Meow-Meow” (Legends of Tomorrow, Season 4, Episode 8)

As noted in its ranking in the Best TV Shows of the year, there is a large assortment of gonzo episodes of Legends of Tomorrow that deserve distinguished praise, but the show might have snuck its most awesomely oddball episode in just under the wire for this awards show. A teammate’s transformation into a feline following a regretful change to history is but the cat-alyst of an episode that illustrates the multiple revisions to the Legends of Tomorrow (aka Custodians of the Chronology aka Sirens of Space Time) timeline via retro-TV-themed intros, explicitly mocks the comparatively tame nature of the concurrent running “Elseworlds” crossover, and, yes, teaches kids helpful lessons through the power of singing puppets. It’s an episode brimming with loveable moments, but all knit together with a touching story of a lost love that perfectly illustrates why Legends of Tomorrow has clawed its way up to the best of the Arrowverse.

#5. “Time’s Up for the Gang” (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Season 13, Episode 4)

The episode’s major resonance lies in the credo cultivated in its final moments, a commitment to doing good in the face of inescapable punishment, but it’s also an unbearably funny journey to get there.

#3. “Free Churro” (BoJack Horseman, Season 5, Episode 6)

BoJack Horseman’s most remarkable episodes, such as previous Aaron winners “Fish Out of Water” and “Stupid Piece of Sh*t,” have been those that have toyed with its animation format. “Free Churro” breaks these conventions in a completely different manner, isolating the entire action of the episode to a single monologue via eulogy delivered by Will Arnett’s BoJack. #2. “Party Monster: Scratching the Surface” (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Season 4, Episode 3)

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, like BoJack Horseman, is a show that address a history of abuse in unexpectedly uproarious ways, and, like BoJack Horseman, produced one of the best episodes of the year by breaking its Unbreakable formula. Framed as an expose documentary on Kimmy’s once-captor, the Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne aka DJ Slizzard, “Party Monster: Scratching the Surface” is at once a staggering assortment of long-running gags, a painfully precise mockery of documentary formats (including riotous instances of narrative tangents and stock footage), and a scathing lampooning of how misogynistic radicalization takes hold.  The show has always been fueled by a righteous fury, but with the fourth season’s no-holds-barred approach to its darker material that never sacrifices the rapid-fire humor, it’s sad that Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will be ending this year, when it seems like it’s still just scratching the surface.

#1. “Teddy Perkins” (Atlanta, Season 2, Episode 6)

Unexpected even in a show that’s routinely impossible to predict, “Teddy Perkins” is undoubtedly the strangest episode of TV all year… and certainly the best. Fulfilling, and perhaps exceeding, the bizarreness of Atlanta’s oft-cited inspiration Twin Peaks, the episode follows Lakeith Stanfield’s Daryl quest for a particular piano that lands him in the decrepit mansion of the peculiar eponymous Teddy Perkins, an eerie, ersatz late-in-life Michael Jackson, played by star Donald Glover in extensive make-up. It’s surreal without sacrificing structure (in fact, the episode aired unbroken by commercial to enhance the immersion) or the show’s social commentary. For the entire extended-length of the unnerving and unforgettable episode, viewers are rankled by the horrifying possibilities of a show that has so unequivocally shattered all boundaries of television, including the possibility of a fateful end for a beloved central character. A standalone dreamlike masterpiece strengthened by its relation to a superb show, “Teddy Perkins” will undoubtedly perk up your ears if you’ re not already all in on Atlanta.

Today has been weird. I woke up with Tay mad at me, Emma got Kimmi’d and now Tay and I are stuck working together? What are we The Beauty and The Weeb? Jacob is in the best position this round and I need to be on the same page as him. I can tell Ari is defending Dan for some reason because they wouldn’t vote Dan.

I have never ever in my life been so sad after a challenge. Like damn, these people really hate me huh. Like Josh, fuck you dude. What have you done in this game besides be Nic’s puppet and then be Emma’s puppet. Goodbye! Jacob!!! Ari and Taylor’s medallions were literally RIGHT THERE to smash and you did what? Smash mine? Ugly.

I am like 99% sure that I’m getting voted out tomorrow night because of my association with Ari. Which kinda sucks, but it is what it is.

Taylor is trying to tell me she thinks she can flip Josh on Jacob, but honestly idk about all that. Part of me wants to tell Jacob that she’s coming for him, but also, idk if I can trust any of them. Taylor also has been saying that if I’m down to target Ari at f4, then she could use her idol on me and then we can take on Ari together at f4. Idk if she just like drank the stupid juice or not, but that works for me? But will I be targeting Ari at f4 if they don’t win immunity? Idk about that. Hopefully I have immunity and we can get Taylor’s ass out of here at 4. The other option is that I go with the idol play plan, then let Ari know last minute so they can’t do anything stupid, and then vote Taylor out with Ari.

I have more options than I think, but I just don’t have the mental capacity to think them all through just now. 

I can't believe I've been playing this game for over a month. I'm so exhausted maintaining different relationships especially now when there's only 5 of us. I can't be caught playing both sides at this pivotal round. If I had it my way I would vote out Dan rather than Jacob but I can't even do that because Ari and Taylor refuses to vote out Dan. Here's how I think the vote will fall

There is no way Jacob stays unless I can somehow convince Ari or Taylor to switch their votes. What the heck happened this round that made Taylor wanna work with Dan? Do they have a Final 2? Dan did give his money to Taylor the round Ali went. Dan is just the player that just won't go AWAY. I made a final 2 pact with him just so he doesn't vote me out this round but I don't intend to go to the final 2 with him. I don't intend to be in a final 2 with anyone here at all! The only scenario I can see myself having a chance to win is if I am at the Final 2 with Jacob because every single player here is going to win over me and it sucks.

I hate that I feel like every round is about me. Like that’s cute bc I love the attention, but also like come on y’all.

Obviously I’m worried it’s gonna be me tonight some how but I really don’t know what else I can do other than follow my gut with this vote.

I’m seeing where Taylor is at rn and acting like I’m worried that Ari and Jacob might vote me this round. If I’m able to convince her to idol me I’m obviously gonna get Jacob and Ari to vote her out. But we’ll have to see how that convo goes. She isn’t answering me which is concerning.

I’m not convinced that Josh will vote for Jacob and is going to vote for me because I think I scare him? I’m not really sure what the beef is there. Apparently he told Ari that he fears that Tay and I have a f2. Which I guess is sorta true but I also don’t wanna go to the end with her at all.

Honestly getting to final 3 is just so gratifying. I really would love to win the final immunity too to kind of show I have some challenge ability haha. My plan is to study the season because in the past I’ve seen the final challenge be season trivia so I really need to go back through and study shit. I feel like I have a reasonable shot at winning against most people but I know I’m gonna get TORN UP by Nick. I’m afraid to go to the end with Taylor and Ari because of their game, but I’m also afraid to go to the end with Josh because of his social connections. This is gonna be a tough tough decision and regardless of what happens I’m gonna piss someone off.

Going with Taylor seems like an okay move because I know I’d at least have Ari’s vote but I think it’s a toss up for the rest of the votes. Ari has been talked up as THE THREAT all game and honestly I see it, but they’ve also not played as flashy as I have. I have a lot more survivor-esque aspects to my game in my opinion. Like me literally attending every tribal council except for one, and being vulnerable at most of the tribal councils. I think a jury will like that I had to do what I had to do to survive. Then with Josh, I just don’t think I have a chance at many of the jury votes (Jabari, Nic, Emma) specifically, but I might pick up Jacob, Ari, Ali, and Brandi. With Taylor deciding if she wants to be bitter and tie it haha.

I mean my point here is that I’ve set myself up to have options. I know I probably won’t be player of the season but dammit I feel like I’ve played such a strong game.

It’s moments before f4 tribal council and I’m at peace with my decision.

I recognize the power that is Ari. I recognize that they may beat me. But I also recognize that I’ve made a friend for life. And that’s way more important to me these days. And if that’s an accolade to their social game, so be it.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. I would literally die for Ari.

This was a good ending chapter for my ORG career. I came into this game with no expectation. I took this game phase by phase. Preswap, swap, merge, end game. I knew I wanted to play differently than I have before. More loyal and less shady. I think there were moments when I was definitely tempted by people to revert to my old ways, but temptation doesn’t always mean you follow through.

I feel my game showed restraint. I stuck with Ari because I always knew they had my best interest in mind. Did I know every detail of their game? Nope. Did I need to? Nope. I still got here. I used information I had wisely. I knew when to call it quits with a plan and hang back. I never wanted to be the reason the vote switched to me.

That’s not to say I didn’t have many close calls, because I definitely did. But I survived. I went to all but one tribal council, and I survived. My social game got me here when I got swap fucked. I fucking did that.

Regardless of what the jury thinks of me, I know that I played a game worth making FTC. Is it a winning game? That’s not for me to decide officially. But, to me I’ve won. I’ve won in ways that go past having my name in a winners circle. I’ve learned so much about myself through this game and through my friendships with others. And that’s okay with me. I look forward to answering the questions about my game, but there is one thing I will not stand for and that’s being made to feel badly for the decisions I made.

At the end of the day those decisions were mine and I stand by them 100%.

This may not have been my first rodeo, but in a way I’m happy it will likely be my last.

I probably should have fought more, but I fought so hard in this game that I was so beaten up by the end.

To say I’m proud of my game is an understatement. I played so well in my opinion and frankly I wouldn’t change a thing. To finish my org career with a second place finish, makes me so proud. From a 17 year old kid with an attitude problem, to a 26 year old kid with a slightly smaller attitude problem, I can thank ORGs for a lot of my growing up.

They’ve taught me to value my strengths and work on my weaknesses. I owe a lot to these silly games.

To be proud is to be fulfilled. And I am fulfilled. Time to check into my room at the retirement home ❤️

We probably won't be able to figure out who till after the season, but I am spooked by whatever happened last night and hope that it never happens again.

So yesterday was absolutely wild and a little frustrating. My original idea to NOT self vote paid off....lol. Our whole alliance was a mess tho because autumn was supposed to vote me but then will told me she told him she was voting him and I was like uhhh well she can’t vote me AND will so I messaged her and was like what’s goin on and she was like ‘oh haha I was just thinking about whether or not I should tell u not to vote urself’ like GIRL!?!? U were CONSIDERING screwing me over? Thanks Autumn. Anyways I was safe but the revote got me fucked up.... akeylah Ian Isaac jarod Blake and ryan were eligible: Isaac and Jarod the alliance wanted to save, Blake messaged a lot of ppl and I didn’t wanna lie to him again, and ryan is dad and also ppl wanted to keep him. Akeylah and Ian.... stressed me out. Akeylah and I were not on great terms but made up so I didn’t wanna throw her name out and also I thought she might pick me for battle. Ian is my friend before this game but we haven’t talked Much in it and I knew he wouldn’t pick me. And I didn’t have a lot of time to push anything because graduation shit so I let the vote be Ian.... AND THEN SOMEONE TRIED TI MESS WITH SHIT AND IT WENT TO WHEEL AND I LOST CHRISTIAN :((((((( I’m so so so sad. I liked christian almost more than I liked talking to my alliance. Not only did I lose my closest ally but I also had to do major damage control with Ian. It wasn’t that major lmao but I agreed to an alliance of him Blake and beck and I like them. Idk that round kind of tanked  my game a bit it proved my alliance Of six is too big to have any kind of coordination, autumn was willing to do her own thing and screw me over, jared and I didn’t see eye to eye, I lied to Blake, I almost or basically did screw Ian over, I lost christian..: it’s bad. But at least I’m still here right

I just want to make a quick confessional about how I went about last round because it was pretty chaotic. I knew the only way to guarantee safety was if I had more than one vote against me, so I went around to various people and tried to show them that a good goal was to aim for 0 votes. That is because I could then get them to use their vote against me. Once I had accomplished this with Patrick, Jarod, Raul, and Beck- I could confidently go to Juls and tell her to vote for herself and that I would vote for her as well, making us both safe. Raul didn't actually vote for me, he came to me and said that 'Beck is voting for me because he and I don't talk much.' Because Raul was under the assumption that I would already have 2 votes (Beck and myself), he wanted to use his vote on someone else. This showed me that I can trust Beck and Raul because they are both protecting me from the other. Then when the results came out, I made a chat of the 10 people who were not vulnerable, and tried to convince everyone that avoiding the wheel was the best option. It seemed to work and we came to a plan of '7 votes Blake, 3 votes Ian.' (Ian getting evicted.) But my intention was to spoil it and throw my vote on Ryan because I trust him the least. I actually ended up falling asleep before I voted, and we still ended up going to the wheel because 1 or 2 people did not follow through with the plan either. With anonymous voting that was bound to happen, but trying to avoid the wheel was worth a shot. My gut tells me either Will or Nathan spoiled it.

so i just found an LOS !! so excited about it!!! obviously, my goal is to only use it if im being dragged in. with owen in royalty i feel really safe this round and my goal is to just agree to every movement the kingdom wants, and hope the knights also want that to occur, in order to set up owen and autumn to get chosen for the battle match this week by an angry nominee! all the while keeping my hands clean and the los secretly in my pocket ! i think my perceived inactivish will help conceal the fact i have this. nobody will find out !

Okay so this is my first confessional and thats kinda shitty. So in the first week i was just getting the gist of everything and then as Alexis Matteo would say BAM! right into the battle round. I won that and was so happy because I just went home first in my game before this. Week two we got split into two tribes and i wanted to work with nathan because i liked him and we love ari. but then something happened with raul and everything got all mixed up. Nathan told me raul was targeting me so i tried to go against raul and rally the people whos names were coming up. and then i got voted out lmao. But i won the hardest thing ive done in an org ever tbh. That 5x5 board of challenge was SO stressful but i felt like amazing coming out of that a winner, like AMAZING. and then week three WHEW IM SAFE me and jared out thought the system and i voted for him giving me 0 and him 2. genius. He then became the person i trust the most, if i make it to the end and lose to him i wont care. but then we tied twice became vulnerable LOL. Christain got rocked out and did the most unchristian thing i have ever witnessed and sent me into my THIRD ELIMINATION. but thankfully I don't thnk will wanted to compete and because of the LOS twist i got oneeeeee and also got introduced to rina sawayama which was two good outcomes. and now its week four and im safe from the vote which is like the only time i really feel like i have to worry because i feel like people will be afraid to against me in a battle match post jury. who hogs the duvet /  moa probably. jim hates the cold like no one else but he’s not rude enough to hog a blanket all to himself if he’s sharing with a partner. who texts/rings to check how their day is going /  moana again lol. jim is pretty content with equal space given to a partner throughout the day so jim is chillin most of the time. the check ins would be appreciated tho. who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts /  ... moana, since jim is a horrible gift giver and never knows what to get people, so the most creative he usually gets is BUILDING something but he doesn’t do that very often. who gets up first in the morning /  jim. he has to work breakfast at the inn between him and his mom so he pretty much works full time when he can. 

who suggests new things in bed /  i think moana would? jim’s attitude is that he’ll try ANYTHING once at the very least but he’s also a bit of a prude so he could be totally 100% down for something but he wouldn’t bring it up or suggest it. who cries at movies /  yeah it’s moana. who gives unprompted massages /  initially i was gonna say jim because he’s a physical intimacy guy but honestly moana seems like she’d be more of the one to just come right out and ask and jim, of course, is like ??? sure i suppose but hey he’s here for it. who fusses over the other when they’re sick /  JIM since he never gets sick EVER and he just wants her to be healthy as soon as possible because being sick is never fun. also he doesn’t want her to be out doing things while she should be recovering. 

who gets jealous easiest /  it’s literally fucking jim he’s so possessive and worrisome about being left and abandoned so naturally he’s a fucking guard dog over partners being hit on by others. or anything that could provoke jealousy. plus jim is petty as all fuck. who has the most embarrassing taste in music /  idk moa’s music taste but it’d probably be her since all jim listens to is rock and punk music with occasional rap and hip hop. he’s pretty simple. who collects something unusual /  jim collects all kind of junk and shit so it’s probably him. who takes the longest to get ready /  usually it’s a race to see who gets ready the fastest ( not really, ) but jim probably wins regardless because he’s a guy and sleeps in a shirt already so all he needs to do is put on pants and mess with his hair and he’s gucci. moa winds up taking longer thus as a default. 

who is the most tidy and organised /  uhh neither of them are really but moana most likely does a better job at it than jim since jim has both his room and the garage as his little hideouts. his garage is somewhat organized but still pretty messy. who gets most excited about the holidays /  moana. jim does not care one bit. especially since him and his mom are broke and poor. plus, his birthday is the 14th of december, so sarah usually combines his birthday with christmas and gets him 2, maybe 3 things in total and he’s fine with that but he’s pretty apathetic in general towards the holiday season. 

who is the big spoon/little spoon /  varies. jim doesn’t care. usually he’s not much of a spooner, he’s more of a cuddling side by side with your arms over the other’s person’s chest or around their head to keep them safe guy. but i could see moana wanting to be the big spoon if she comes in while he’s taking a nap in the middle of the day or something. usually he faces the wall when sleeping by himself so it’d be pretty easy for her to do it. who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports /  they’re both fucking competitive which SUCKS because they both want to win and jim is normally so aggressive about being the winner but he’s lenient with moana because she’s a girl and someone he actually likes so he won’t throw a fit if he loses. 

who starts the most arguments /  jim probably? just because he’s super apathetic and just generally ... pretty mean without trying to be so he can come off extremely cynical or rude, so when moana gets offended by something he says he just doesn’t understand why that would hurt her feelings or something and that can lead to an argument. who suggests that they buy a pet /  neither of them since jim has a cat already named blaze AND jim also picks up strays of literally any kind so there’s constantly an animal (or plural) in his room at all times. what couple traditions they have /  sorry but i literally have no idea what traditions they’d have hdjdgjjkhgkdls. what tv shows they watch together /  probably nature documentaries or SPACE documentaries since jim LOVES that shit and moa ALSO loves that shit.

FINAL IMMUNITY CHALLENGE

Welcome, Dani, Jess, and Maynor to your final immunity challenge!

This challenge will take place over multiple parts, over multiple days, to see who will put forth the effort and the skill worthy of a place in the final tribal council, and the right to choose the person sitting next to them.

 For each of the parts of the challenge, you will face off. The winner will receive 2 points toward their final score. Second place will receive 1 point. Third place receives nothing. At the end of the challenge, the player with the most points will win! If there is a tie in any given round, the points will be distributed evenly among those in the tie.

 Part One: Flag Making

Make us a merge flag!! They will be graded by my friends, who I’m afraid are not going to be very nice to you, for the meme. (They actually think I’m giving them unilateral power to choose who goes home based on who they like the least, but sadly that won’t be the case…)

 It will be graded out of 10 for Creativity, Effort, and Visual Appeal. The tribe color is Grey.

 PLEASE NOTE, the flag will be due to your host chat one hour before the rest of the challenge is due, at 9pm EST on Friday, June 14th. This is to allow time for the judges to receive the flags and get back to me with their scores.

Part Two: 15,000 Seconds

Below is a Google Form that you will all use for this challenge! In the form submissions, you will state that you would like for the challenge to begin by submitting “I’m placing my hand on the idol.”

Then, EXACTLY 1,000 seconds later, you will post again, saying “I’m still holding on.”

Then, EXACTLY 2,000 seconds after the previous post, you will post again. This will continue for 3,000 seconds, 4,000 seconds, and 5,000 seconds. If done right, this challenge should take exactly 15,000 seconds total, or 4 hours and 10 minutes.

Your final submission, generated in the Google Form, would look like this:

Thoughts on the starting order

Good (very early) morning, folks! It's 5 am and I'm still up because my adrenaline levels haven't dropped since the start of the semi-final. The end of Eurovision season is in sight and I'm as excited as I am apprehensive.

Those of you who've followed this blog for a while will know that I'm an ardent opponent of the producer-created running order - here's an archive of posts just from ESC '16 and '17 where I explain why it is inherently unfair (the long and short of it: it gives advantageous and disadvantageous positions to songs, which goes against the spirit of the competition) and how the producers choosing the running order often fall on the same tropes - using semi-final results to determine where to place the qualified songs.

As outlined in this post, there are positions in the running order that the producers consider much stronger than others, into which they tend to stuff the high-flying semi-finalists and Big 6s that they think will do well - like the 16th act before the end of the show, which is usually 11th place (but was 12th in 2015 on account of there being 27 finalists).

This prime position, almost as close to the end of 1st half as you can be, has only been occupied by a semi-finalist once in the previous four ESCs since random draw was abolished: 11th has been home to Cascada, who were tipped for a good position pre-ESC; Conchita, who won her semi and the whole shebang; Guy Sebastian, making Australia's much hyped début, and Amir, a huge pre-contest favourite. This is where Salvador Sobral has been placed - which makes me feel that he must have done as well as it seemed he did at winning over the fans.

The other strongest positions in the first half are 9th and 13th (10th and 14th in 2015). 18thj from last is where Gianluca (4th in his semi, 8th overall), Maans (winner of both semi and final) and local boy and 5th place in the final Frans were placed - this is where Francesco Gabbani has been slotted. A strong position, but not as good as Salvador's. 14 songs before the end (usually 13th place, 14th place in 2015), the last stop before the second half, is where Dami Im, Sanna NIelsen and Anouk have all performed - a semi final winner, a runner up and 6th place in the semi and 9th in the final respectively. This prime spot, surprisingly, is where Jacques Houdek has been placed. Will he emulate this high-flying female trio or the only blokes to have been assigned this position, the Makemakes with their unfortunate nul points?

Whilst the producers can help you, they can also hinder you. 2nd from the beginning is the dreaded death spot from which no one has ever won - but in recent years, 2nd from last is more of a death sentence. A slot for 3 last place marginal qualifiers from the semis (Georgia '13, San Marino '14, Albania '15) and an unfancied Big 6 (UK last year) seems a very odd place indeed in which to put such a bookies' favourite as Bulgaria. Its juxtaposition is unfavourable too, sandwiched between other favourites in Sweden and France - did it really underwhelm so much to warrant this, or are they actively trying to kill the kid's chances? After the "eventfulness" of this year, could they be afraid of a début Eastern host country taking the reins?

In other news, JOWST seems a surefire marginal qualifier, slotting into 10th position from end (17th, 18th in 2015) which has been home to two countries who qualified in 8th place (Poland 2015 and Hungary 2013) and two in 10th place (Croatia last year and Slovenia in 2014). Out of the quartet, only ByeAlex managed to surpass the mediocre semi final placement with a good finish in the final. It also seems that the city lights are dimming for Blanche, placed fourth from last (usually 23rd, 24th in 2015). It's not been a bad slot for Big 6 allotted it - Basim and Marco Megnoni - but when a semi qualifier has been given fourth from close, they placed 10th and 9th in their semi respectively. Both were Georgians, curiously - Nina and Nika & the Young Georgian Lolitaz.

On the "winners" side, we should also give a mention to Sweden (who perform 3rd from last, like Margaret Berger, the Common Linnets, and Polina) and the UK, who get given 9th from end (usually 18th, 19th in 2015) starting position of a third place semifinalist (Softengine), a semi final runner up (Aminata) and two semi-final winners (Emmelie deForest and Sergey Lazarev). On the "losers" side, their starting positions suggest that Austria, Greece, Poland and Australia scraped through.

Jaiden- you were probably my favorite person to align with! although you were lowkey crazy and unpredictable I knew you always had my back and I am happy to say I never went against you. playing this game with you was so much fun and I'm glad it brought us closer!

Gage- we never talked much because you always went MISSING AHHH!! but when we did talk, you were really fun and you being voted out really shocked me

Willa- you were so fun to talk to and I'm really glad we got to play this game together! the only thing I remember about you being voted out is that I was afraid someone had an idol. you were truly robbed!

Nicholas - I was with Nicholas in my starting tribe and he is such a sweet guy (heart) like I did like him and then he flipped on our alliance and it kind of made me lose trust in him so...

Lily - she was literally the one of the only reasons I made it this far within the game I swear to god! Coming into the game as a beginner and not knowing anybody Lily was very sweet and helped me through it and sort of gave me tips on how to play a good game so I genuinely wouldn't have been able to make it here without her.. (heart) (heart)

Bodhi - once again another person who helped me through the game. Bodhi was one of the people I trusted most as well until he started making plans and votes without me. but hes Bodhi so ive still gotta love him no matter what ya feel xD

Brian - the final person who I would never have been able to make it this far without. he was also another person who was giving me hints and tips on how to play the game.

DANA’S ROP

You definitely made this game more interesting and terrifying for everyone involved.  Playing this game with you made everything…unpredictable to say the least, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Maybe you can find another advantage out there to bring yourself back to the jury?

Gage- The missing icon. Honestly I was always SO excited to work with you in this game, and inevitably every round you would leave me for that bitch the triangle. I’m sorry I eventually got jealous and had to vote you out of this game.

Willa- Willa Willa Willa. My half of the super idol twin. Honestly I miss you quite a lot. Your way of playing this game straightforward was something I was SO envious of in this game. I hope they have plenty of kpop bops for you to listen to @ Ponderosa.

Nicholas- QUEEN NICHOLAS! My hero and fellow wine mom. You’re honestly a fav and you deserved better. I’m super glad I decided to befriend you in this game, honestly one of the best choices I made. Can’t wait to get lit and ruin lives with you in future games.

Lily- <3 AHH I miss talking to you SO much. You’re such a great friend and we have so much in common, which made talking to you in this game incredibly enjoyable and just like I was hanging out with my irl friends. Bodhi- I am SO sad you aren’t sitting here with me right now in the final four, because you deserve it so much. Playing this game with you was honestly one of the best times I’ve ever had in a game and I’m going to miss our alliance a crazy amount. You play the best UTR game, one that I’m INCREDIBLY jealous of. I’m always fascinated by the crazy plans you think up and USUALLY successfully implement. It’s been a great time and so much of that was because of you, so thanks!  

Brian- By far one of the hardest votes for me in this game. I’m so thankful you brought me back into this game and took a chance on someone you didn’t know that well at the time. Your decision to bring me back allowed me to have one of the best times I’ve ever had playing in a game before, so thank you. Unfortunately, you became SO threatening.
