And I'm sure they felt that magnetism towards one another. But where Zelda is more diplomatic and calculating, Midna is a little more brash and free-thinking. hmm so tsurumi is the same age as kiroranke, who is given an official birth year in the fanbook - 1866. also in the fanbook timeline it's specified that wilk, kiroranke and sofia met hasegawa in 1891, when he's 25. his family dies. he goes back to japan.

it's when he visits niigata and talks to usami.

and he's properly acquainted with him two years prior, so in meiji 26 (1893), in which looks like either spring or summer. he's 27. next spring, meiji 27 (1894), usami kills his bestie and tsurumi covers for him. he goes back in meiji 28 (1895), and it's revealed that he was demoted to a position in hokkaido

next year, meiji 29 (1896), he visits tsukishima in prison. he's aged 30

he tells tsukishima about his demotion, and says that he'll be sent to russia as an intelligence officer, and that he plans to take him along. ok.

it's said in the fanbook that tsukishima was learning russian from tsurumi and on site, when they went to russia.

which was in 1897. tsurumi is aged 31.

it's also said that ogata was learning together with tsukishima... which means that at this point they are already acquainted? usami was born in 1881, in 1897 he'd be 16 years old. ogata is a bit younger than him, so a year or two... so he'd be about 15? with tsurumi? in russia? koito's kidnapping happens in 1902 when koito is 16 and usami is 21, so ogata is about 20. this is hilarious to me because if tsurumi has been around ogata since the latter was 15 it's no wonder they are the way they are. like ogata is a demon at 25, imagine what kind of satanic menace he must have been at 15... no wonder tsurumi hates his ass. and no wonder ogata wants his love and attention and tries to emulate him lol he imprinted on him like a baby duck. then again the minimum age for voluntary conscription was 17 so what the hell would a 15yo be doing there 🤨 do you think he lied about his age when enlisting? could have. or maybe he joined tsurumi and tsukishima in russia a bit later, after enlisting. this is what happens when you're left with no answers nursing your dick in your hands, 2 years after the manga ends you're still haunted by how tf did they end up stuck with each other
