Sitting here all day, Watching stories unfold, Thinking how I would do it, Laughing about the story I would've told.
#daily poetry challenge#day 1099#Amusing myself with headcanons for why my Sith (and one Jedi) characters do what they do in swtor.#My Inquisitor is extremely light sided and also the cruelest bitch you'd ever meet.#My Warrior is drenched in darkness and also has the kindest heart out of all of them.#My Consular somehow made those two love each other and her and kiss.

ooh ooh ooh! what video game do you think the boyd boys would each enjoy?
Steve Murphy: Haha, so, here’s the thing. Steve isn’t much of a gamer, but Connie and Javi both persuade him to give Stardew Valley a shot because they think it’ll relax him. Steve is resistant, but once he starts playing he’s SO absorbed, which is… initially positive, but he gets so damn intense about it! He’s managing so many tasks! He’s trying to optimize his farm and his relationships! He’s gonna organize his whole fucking day! He LOVES this game, but it’s less a stress-release mechanism and more another way to channel his neuroticism!
Donald Pierce: Ooh, Pierce gets so into Red Dead Redemption. He loves exploring the open world, he loves the music and graphics, and most of all he loves playing as a take-no-shit, badass cowboy. He’s totally living vicariously through Arthur, and it hits him like a steel pipe when Arthur’s unexpectedly raped in RDR2.
Cap Hatfield: You know, I feel like I can see modern Cap getting into RuneScape, to the point where it’s a little hard for him to unplug! Go to sleep Cap! You have an 8am class tomorrow! But he loves the grind and the sense of slow, measured progression – he can be completely absorbed at a fishing spot for hours.
Clement Mansell: Clement’s a classic Call of Duty player! He loves blowing off steam by way of mowing through enemies and shit-talking 12-year-olds in the chat. He’s like, got his bong between his knees as he plays, taking covert little hits between the breaks in the action.
The Corinthian: Oh man, I feel like it’s Grand Theft Auto?? He loves the open world! He loves all the OPTIONS. There’s been times when he’s spent hours just wandering through the city, not causing even a bit of a stir, and then next time he boots it up he immediately sets off on a car chase that ends with 50 dead prostitutes, 100 dead police officers, and a stolen helicopter being rammed into a bridge. The Corinthian is shocked when he learns there’s an actual story in the game, too.
Eli Klaber: Lol, maybe this one is self-indulgent, but I feel like Klaber would get into SWTOR? The mechanics are easy to learn and the gameplay isn’t particularly challenging at all, but the stories are a blast and the characters are fully customizable, which is a must for Klaber. He wants to make his space Barbie and take her around the galaxy!
Vic Owen: Oh, it’s Beat Saber for sure. The fast lights! The music! The motion! It’s so stimulating and engaging in every way, and it’s so good at reliably burning away his excess energy! He’s so happy and spent by the time he’s done! Also, he just likes hitting things in virtual reality!
Danny Maguire: Surprisingly, Mass Effect. He starts playing on a whim, not expecting to like it very much, but he gets so damn hooked in the world and the storytelling. He totally starts off telling himself he’s gonna be a bad guy too, but that doesn’t last long at all. A few hours in and he’s making the most heroic choices and getting genuinely distressed if he can’t save everyone. He doesn’t get why he cares! It’s stupid! He’s falling in love with all his companions! They feel like family!
Ty Shaw: Ty ADORES Mario Kart! It’s so colorful and accessible and fun for all ages! It’s awesome to play in groups! He loves popping on a few games of Mario Kart as an icebreaker when he’s introducing someone to his family, too! Plus, it’s always good to see how they handle friendly competition!
Quinn McKenna: Quinn’s not big on story-based or roleplaying-heavy games, and although he does like the occasional combat game, the game he gets so damn addicted to is Minecraft. It’s the perfect balance of creativity within a clear and established structure! Quinn’s an adept visual thinker too - he starts off building some more simple structures, but it’s not long before he’s constructing giant fortesses and underwater bunkers.
#bonus Vic Owen!!#this was so fun!!!#boyd holbrook#donald pierce#the corinthian#steve murphy#ty shaw#quinn mckenna#clement mansell#cap hatfield#eli klaber#danny maguire#Vic Owen

Starting my 2025 “200 ocs in a year” challenge off with drawing my sith inquisitor from SWTOR was NOT on the bingo card, but I can’t lie, I kind of had a great time working on this piece. This poor bastard bears the unfortunate name “Fvexxt” (vexed) because he was my first SWTOR character and I was trying SO hard to make him cool and edgy.
Here’s some really despicable screenshots from 2018 when I didn’t have a computer that could handle anything but the lowest graphics nor did I realize I could purchase clothes that didn’t Look like that
And if you thought LAST times old art jumpscare was bad… soldier, prepare

✨May the Fourth Be With You: Things to Do (That Don’t Require a Jedi Council Meeting to Approve)!!!✨
BESTIES!!! HAPPY MAY THE FOURTH!! ✨🚀💥
Okay so LISTEN!!! I have been pacing my space-quarters (aka my room) for two days straight trying to figure out what to do for Star Wars Day besides the classics like:
“Watch all the movies” (which, duh, obviously you should do)
“Replay SWTOR or Battlefront” (please wreck people as Leia in my honor)
“Rewatch Rebels and cry over the Space Fam” (which I also highly recommend, especially if you need a good sob in the fetal position)
But THEN I was like... what about the UNHINGED STUFF. The crafting chaos. The snack-based roleplay. The 'I taped googly eyes to my broom and called it a droid' vibe. What about THAT.
So I have compiled for you—a fellow creature of the Force, glitter, and ADHD—this list of alternate, cursed, fun, creative, and very serious Star Wars Day activity propositions (because "ideas" sounds too chill and we are on a mission from the Maker today).
Some are crafty. Some are snacky. Some are just... rituals. Some involve pretending you're a Mandalorian babysitting Grogu at a Walgreens. Do all of them. Do one of them. Do them with friends, your cat, or your homemade Force-sensitive droid that’s just a blender with a mood.
Let this be the year you say “May the Fourth” and truly mean it.
Now go forth, Jedi trash gremlins, Sith chaos goblins, and Mandalorian art school dropouts—and make this the weirdest, sparkliest Star Wars Day yet.
(Also if you want recipes, printable sheets, Lulu plushie tutorials, or dramatic Star Wars quotes rewritten as Mad Libs about toast and therapy, hit me up because I am READY.)
Hide Loth-cats Around Your House Draw some goofy Loth-cats (bad art encouraged), cut them out, and sneak them into random places—bookshelves, cereal boxes, someone's sock drawer. Say there's been a smuggling mishap with an Imperial crate from Lothal and the cats are loose. Tell your roommates/kids/stray Mandalorians they’re on a secret mission to find them before they shred the furniture. Bonus: make one look suspiciously like Ezra.
Make Star Wars Friendship Bracelets Yes. Like it’s summer camp and you’re in a galaxy far, far away. Use colors for characters (black, brown, red, and blue = Anakin; orange, blue, white= Ahsoka, etc). Don’t you roll your eyes—Anakin would’ve absolutely made one for Obi-Wan in a tragic attempt at expressing feelings. Give one to your friend and say, “This is the way.”
Take Your Grogu Plush on Adventures Strap that baby in the car. Take him to the grocery store. Set him at your desk like he’s supervising. Snap photos and post them like you're Din Djarin and your green war criminal toddler is once again touching things he shouldn’t. Add captions like “Refused to nap, bit a cashier. Proud of him.”
Make a DIY Lightsaber... but Bad Paper towel rolls. Wrapping paper tubes. A broom handle. Light-up chopsticks. Go nuts. Decorate them with duct tape and delusion. Challenge someone to a duel at lunch. No real injuries, only bruised egos.
Galaxy-Inspired Art Time Paint a tiny galaxy with watercolors, chalk, nail polish—whatever chaos medium you choose. Doesn’t have to be accurate. In fact, make up a planet and give it a ridiculous name like “Glorpflak 7” and say that’s where your OC is from. Hang your art like you're decorating your X-wing locker.
Make Star Wars Bookmarks Get crafty. Draw Sabine graffiti art. Paint a moody Kylo Ren. Or, better yet, just print a picture of Obi-Wan looking disappointed and write “I find your lack of reading disturbing.” Stick it in your favorite book and let him silently judge you.
Host a “Council of Chaos” Snack Meeting Grab some friends (real or stuffed) and have a snack-based Jedi Council. Give everyone a Star Wars name. Eat blue snacks only. Elect the most dramatic person as Yoda. Argue about whether Anakin was right (he wasn’t). End in snacks and betrayal.
Write “Canon-But-Shouldn’t-Be” Headcanons Why did Obi-Wan name himself Ben? Do Ewoks have opinions on modern fashion? Would Rex listen to sad clone indie-pop? Write one-sentence headcanons and text them to your friends like it’s a cursed prophecy.
Build a “Trash Droid” Tape googly eyes onto a soup can. Add arms made of pipe cleaners and a weird personality. Boom. You’ve adopted a garbage droid named Blorp who thinks they’re fluent in Sith but is just swearing. Be nice to them.
Create a “Mandalorian Babysitter Log” Draw little journal entries or logs as if you’re a stressed Mandalorian writing down the chaos of babysitting Grogu. “Day 4: Child swallowed a frog. Denied it. I saw it. Frog is now hopping inside his mouth. Send help.”
Rename Everything in Your House With Star Wars Labels Toilet = Sarlacc Pit. Sink = Kamino Waterfall. Couch = Wampa Nest. Fridge = Carbonite Storage. Stick post-it notes on everything. Let the madness unfold.
Invent a New Sith Name Put “Darth” in front of something you fear or something mildly inconvenient. Darth PublicSpeaking. Darth SlowWiFi. Darth FlatSoda. Write it in your bio for the day.
Cook Like You’re on the Jedi Temple Cafeteria Staff Listen, do you think Jedi magically eat healthy? No. They have a cafeteria and Obi-Wan definitely brings a sad salad to meetings. But YOU? You're cooking today. You’re the head chef on the Death Star and you're putting BLUE MILK in everything like a menace. Make blue milk, Grogu’s bougie macarons, Anakin's “I burned this toast with the Force” sandwiches, or Obi-Wan’s Sadboy Stew™. Want recipes? I GOT YOU. You just say the word and I will summon them like a Holocron of chaos.
Make a Lula Plushie (Or Horrific Approximation) Yes, the Lula. It’s soft, it’s sacred. Can’t sew? Doesn’t matter. Use socks. Use felt. Use GLUE AND PRAYERS. Name it something increasingly unhinged like “Sir Scurrington of Lira San” and make it your emotional support chaos animal for the day. Take photos of it like it's your child. “First time touching grass.” “Learning to read.” “Biting a senator.”
Create a Star Wars Cooking Show Skit Put on an apron, grab a spoon, and become “Chef Vader.” Tell the camera (aka your phone propped up with a water bottle) that today you're making “Force-Flambéed Tatooine Toast” and “Boba's Boba.” Make up fake sponsor segments. “This episode is brought to you by Dex’s Diner Grease Wipes!™ - When the Force isn’t enough to clean up the mess.” Bonus: make your friends watch it. They can’t escape.
Build a TIE Fighter Out of Snacks Graham crackers, Oreos, marshmallows—yes, it’s time to construct a snack-sized star war. If it collapses, congrats, you're a true Imperial engineer. If it flies? You're terrifying and probably a war criminal. Eat your ship like the New Republic would want.
Design Your Own Sith Lord… Out of Random Craft Supplies Gather whatever cursed items you have: pipe cleaners, feathers, googly eyes, a toilet paper roll. Create a figure and name them something like Darth Confettius or Lady Crayola the Terrible. Write a tragic backstory. "Once a respected glue stick in the Jedi archives, now seeks revenge on all who denied her sparkles."
Make Lightsaber Snacks and Refuse to Share Dip pretzel rods in colored candy melts to make edible lightsabers. Then, aggressively wave them at anyone who asks for one and whisper, “Only a Sith deals in snacks.”
Host a Force Cooking Challenge Tell your roommates/family/imaginary clone squad that you must now cook—but only using “Force powers.” No hands. Wooden spoons in your mouth. Utensils taped to elbows. The food will be awful. You will feel powerful. This will be funny asf, sorry not sorry.
Create a Star Wars Playlist and Pretend You're DJ Rex at Oga's Cantina Make a playlist where half the songs are actual Star Wars scores, and the other half are just unreasonably chaotic picks like “Mr. Brightside” (for Anakin) or “WAP” (for Hondo Ohnaka, don’t ask). Put on sunglasses and introduce each song like, “This next one goes out to the Jedi who died in Order 66… it’s Stayin’ Alive.”
Make Star Wars Terrariums Go outside. Grab moss. Tiny rocks. A weird stick. Put them in a jar and say “this is Dagobah now.” Add a plastic frog and call it “Yoda’s real cousin, Broda.” Bonus points for narrating its tragic backstory like it’s a documentary.
Invent Your Own Star Wars Holiday Forget May the Fourth. Today is Boonta Pie Day. It’s about racing, betrayal, and excessive dessert. Make up a whole ritual. Chant. Bake a pie. Duel someone. Wear oven mitts like gauntlets.
Build a Shrine to Your Favorite Star Wars Character A corner. A shelf. A weird pile on your bed. Decorate it with random objects that “represent” them. A spoon = Anakin (edgy, useful, easily bent). A candle = Ahsoka (glows, but also burns). A rock = Zeb. Add weird fan art, a post-it that says “he’s trying his best,” and worship accordingly.
Unhinged Star Wars Mad Libs Take a serious Star Wars quote and make it ridiculous: _"Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to ____. ______ leads to suffering." Now read it with conviction like you’re in front of the Jedi Council. (Suggestions: “Fear leads to burnt toast. Burnt toast leads to therapy. Therapy leads to suffering.”)
And bestie—if you need more ideas, more crafts, more chaos, more weird Star Wars Day energy—drop a comment and I will RUN to you like Merrin sprinting full-speed to play tongue twisters with Cal Kestis after downing three espressos and a spite potion.
I got you. This is the Way. 💫💥

#but multiple conflicting things happened there instead of a straightforward explanation #bc anything tied to jadus and eight is never what it seems to be on the surface #i think keeper realized this at the very end bc of eight's strange dichotomy in-game where he became the Hand yet lacked the power hunger #so he realized he messed up by completely abandoning him bc his intentions weren't as he thought #but no one can predict an illogical path like that when only sticking to logic and facts as agents are taught #and eight excels in the elusive field of psychological illusion #i have a headcanon keeper finally goes digging to uncover what happened when he retires #ironically eight simply repeated his origin: a night of terror with no record and no witnesses and only a burning left in his wake #in other words eight gaslighted all of intelligence and then keeper at the last min went wait did you do that. for us #AND THEN IT WAS TOO LATE
I still haven't written what happens on the Dominator/Eradication Day for Eight in his majn timeline bc I enjoy the unexplained empty gap more than fully putting it into words, like did he actually press the button? did he talk Jadus down? did he betray Intelligence as they all believed he did? was any of it even real?
Jadus still swept the Empire in fire and flames, but the panic and fear of the situation occluded the truth and there remains numerous unconfirmed reports on whether or not the Dominators actually fired. Keeper went with the most rational answer but after Intelligence's dissolution, he begins to question whether or not that was the right one.
#Star Wars#star wars the old republic#writing#I sometimes feel like this is a bigger issue for characters who are built up to be the human/(im)mortal#and are representative of a larger concept or force of nature#Like how D.Jadus is the personification of “Fear” (the good and bad)#Which makes writing with him very challenging#He’s a Darksoul/Berserk character in SWTOR#I have so many thoughts when talking about D.Jadus…

Here's a personal post I should have tackled a while ago. It's about SWTOR and the recent Character Art Modernization events. Like so many other players, I'm pretty disappointed with how BroadSword executed this project. Ever since I first saw the modernized faces in November on the PTS (and it didn’t get any better with the second overhaul), something in me just broke. Something that used to drive me to launch the game at least once a week. I choose to give constructive feedback in the forums as many others of you, too but Mods decided to take it down not only once but thrice.
Don't get me wrong - I've been with this game for a long time, met tons of amazing people, got motivated to learn how to draw humans at all and delved way too deep into characterization. This Tumblr account only exists because of the SWTOR community here :D Also, my storytelling and English have improved a lot since then; although I don't really share what I write—I just can't bring myself to do it ^^; I deeply care for this game and love the joy it created not only for me but for us all. But it becomes harder and harder to make me invest in something that (from my POV) is already lost and dying.
So, some SWTOR updates over the years were half-baked, some introduced more problems and left the game worse or even made less interesting over time. Patch 7.0, for instance, was a disaster on PTS with its raised boss difficulty to 344 (we only had access to 326 gear if I remember right) and the restructuring of the overall skill system. 7.0 was already poorly received before going live. And oh boy, it got life. It's clear that if a Publisher or DevTeam want something to happen in their game/project, they push through. We as players have little to no influence here. You're allowed to express your opinion, but whether it's heard is anyone's guess. I won’t even start on the implementation, as this is a different topic.
What I’m getting at is that my excitement around SWTOR has significantly dwindled. Thankfully, after much persuasion from others, I decided to release Tahr'rys from the Inquisitor's storyline and replace Ashara with a similar character named Relah. The stories and possibilities have incredibly increased since tho Mr T stays a rather static construct. To keep him believable, he can’t just frolic joyfully through fields and become cheerful. He is who he is, shaped by his story and how he dealt with events. He influences what happens—just like we all do in our lives. But we don't have any influence over a game studio’s decisions. And as for my SWTOR art, things are going to get a bit quiet here.
I’ve never posted much because drawing humans, especially Tahr'rys, has always been a real challenge for me (yes it is). It's very time-consuming and not very rewarding. To make things worse for him - I've been drawn into the Veilguard vortex by @jukkariart and got deeply invested in her stories; hence the shift in focus on my blog. We're constructing our own narrative around the Veilguard events under a common rook and right now, our companion characters (Alectris and Verinius) offer much more dopamine. T and Co will remain and I’ll occasionally post about them- but it'll be even more infrequent than before :>
Thanks for reading this far and staying with me ❤️

SWTOR OCs Infodump (pt I)
I wanted to introduce 4 of my swtor ocs- more aliens coming after I finalize the character designs! Feel free to skip around and read whatever is interesting to you and let me know if there's anything you'd be interested to hear more about <3
Under the cut:
My Echani Cousular Aura'dann
My Smuggler Kai
My Sith Warriors Alykaa (canon) and Hrafen (side OC; not part of class stories)
+little sketches of each <3
Aura’dann (Jedi Consular)- Aura’dann grew up with her Echani, who gave her values of passion and justice. She carried these values into her time as a Jedi when she joined the order at 17. When she left for Tython, she had already been practicing and learning from the force on her own. Aura used her force abilities to become a great, if unconventional, fighter in her community. Among the Echani, combat was a near-sacred art, making Aura’s accomplishments all the more esteemed. Despite all this, Aura had a thirst for more and knew she had plenty of untapped potential outside of what she could teach herself.
As a Jedi, Aura’dann could often forget that the force was more than a tool for her to hone. She always struggled to focus inward and sense the spiritual workings around her, which sometimes left her feeling out of place among her Jedi peers. Aura is also visionary at heart, and craves to serve the Republic and strives to be a shining example for the Jedi.
Kai (Smuggler) is honestly a little doofus. A little himbo goofball, if you will. Upon contact it wouldn't seem he has much to offer, but truthfully Kai is very cunning and will find a creative way out of any predicament. He's always ready for a challenge and can hardly be stopped once he has his eyes set on a goal.
Behind his eccentric personality, Kai really does have a heart of gold. Kai is a strong extravert and will do everything he can to uplift the spirits of others. He's loud and flamboyant and the life of the party.
To be honest I don’t really have any kind of crazy backstory for him; Kai just exists to be my little goober man and to live out my platinum-blond shag dreams for me.
Alykaa (Sith Warrior)- After Alykaa’s mother passed, she was destined to be her family’s only child. She was part of a kind of Sith royalty, her family legacy having strong influence in the Empire’s affairs. Being the only child that could maintain respect for the family, the responsibility that Alykaa carried was clear from a young age. Her single father, although barely involved in her upbringing, made sure Alykaa knew she had to succeed.
Alykaa grew to be a fierce warrior, with an unmistakably fiery essence. Desperate to prove herself, Alykaa was put on a pedestal from a young age, being a poster child for the perfect imperial. She was always a strong patriot and held her devotion to the empire second only to her family.
Alykaa is ruthless and unforgiving, especially if someone is in her way or acts against her values. For this reason, she fit perfectly into the role of emperor’s wrath and served as a formidable force against those who stood in the empire’s way. This is also the reason why things… didn’t work out with Malavai Quinn. She was uncertain she could ever find a worthy partner. That is, until she met Hrafen who effortlessly shattered her understanding of the galaxy. There was something about his indifference that compelled her. Hrafen was so unimpressed with her power, it should have been infuriating. But there was also a kind of understanding in Hrafen, that Alykaa couldn’t shake. He was able to see untouched parts of her with such casualty, being the first to truly see who she was.
Hrafen (non-canon Sith Warrior) is known for being totally unserious. He can never seem to accept or trust any authority and was known to wander on his own unconventional path. Relentlessly speculative, Hrafen questions everyone and everything, which turns a lot of people off to him. This proves to be a good filter to finding like-minded people, however, and when Hrafen meets someone who he can have respectful debate/conversation with, he is quick to call that person friend. Despite his off-putting demeanor, Hrafen is a big people-person and has a genuine fascination with people and understanding how they work. Hrafen ends up collecting a peculiar crowd of people who are willing to question the Empire’s authority.
Similar to Alykaa, Hrafen’s family had strong connections in the Sith Empire, although the expectations were never so strong. While Alykaa had it hammered into her mind that she needed to support and honor her family, Hrafen’s family was never so desperate. Being sith purebloods, they already had an inherent and effortless leg up in society.

I always find it so FASCINATING how you play through the same story (IA of course) with multiple characters and see how each new dynamic plays out, because I just don’t work that way xD I put one lil guy into one situation and then nobody else gets to be there, it’s been claimed. So it’s very neat to see a more varied approach and watch each new take and how they add to your relationship with the story!
THAMK you!!!! I also find it really fascinating, which I guess is my fuel for doing it. xD It's admittedly one of the several things I have done in playing SWTOR that I never would have guessed I'd do when I started playing - and, to be fair, there are certain stories that I'm sorta that way about! And perhaps if everyone will indulge me, I'm gonna take this as an excuse to ramble about what I enjoy both about this particular class, and SWTOR as a whole, really.
but first I'll take an excuse to post my main 3 (so far) agent boys :3
from left to right then: tyr, alucren, and nikihlus!
Part of the agent storyline being so attractive to me personally is I'm sure, for better or worse, that I'm admittedly a sucker for a spy action flick, and since it's kind of my exact cup of tea, there feels to be a level of variance in how it plays out and how a character can interpret their experiences within it that's delightful for me to dive into and tear apart like a dog with new stuffed toy, lol.
I've played all eight class stories I think at least twice now, and several of them, clearly, far more than that, so I think one of the overall continuously endearing things about the game is that any of those eight can be someone's Thing. Everyone's got their favorites and I really, truly, after several spins through them all, don't think there's really a single bad class story. Finding the right character to pick apart what really makes a story tick for you, personally, I think is where... some of the challenge can occur.
I, for example, enjoy, conceptually, Consular, Inquisitor, and Trooper, but the first two of those I outright don't have a canon character "filling" that role, and Trooper I only have halfsies because my favorite run of that is actually Tyr's AU where I dropped him in the Trooper story for kicks and it changed my entire outlook on what I'd previously considered one of the more lacking class stories to the point where I think I might owe Aric Jorgan a personal apology letter and I'd even consider advocating for the story now. All of these stories I still think are good, fun, and interesting, but I haven't found a character whom I enjoy seeing in the role they play, if that makes sense.
What I at least enjoy about any of the characters I keep bringing back up here that I've played is that their viewpoints and experiences are pretty distinct to me. Even within my agents - and maybe especially with them, they all come at the role of Cipher with very different backgrounds and perspectives. Pretty much all three of them I've learned a lot more about since creating them, as you do when characters change over the course of a story and you point them at things that challenge their thinking, but their... fundamental, pre-Intelligence backgrounds greatly inform how they handle the rest of... everything. And only one of them is my canonical Cipher Nine; that honor remains with Tyr; Alucren's designation is Cipher Eleven, and Nikihlus's is Cipher Seven, respectively, but they've also... both kinda run away from me and since I have such a feel for who they are, it's also incredibly interesting to tackle the story as if they do belong there, in that particular role - because it tells me something about them that's not just applicable there.
And also, it's just... really fun for me to compare them like yardsticks against each other, lol. And it's a fun little exercise in appreciating the why of how different their playthroughs and experiences are. The short of them is that Tyr's the most idealistic of the three, the agent of change - a double agent for the SIS because he believes in something bigger and greater and ideals are enough to motivate him. Alucren's a loyalist - to the Empire, and to the Sith beyond that. Born and raised Imperial just like Tyr, but where Tyr came from some of the cracks in that society as an orphan (according to official records, at least) raised in a not-quite-family resulting from a marital alignment between a Sith and a naval officer, Alucren is relatively silver spoon-born - from a fairly prominent and historically loyal family. Those two have very different ideas of what Imperial Intelligence is, even, to great effect on how they respond to the pressures of the story and what's done to them in the titular role. Nikihlus is an outsider; in much the way that Kaliyo is using Intelligence as the next opportunity, so too, to an extent, is Nikihlus. He's there not exactly of his own will - it was cooperate or die, so his loyalty to Intelligence is only as far as they'll pay him, and that the Empire remains a more sound employer. Sith politics and even the larger conflict of Republic vs. Empire interest him no further than how to stay alive as someone who is painfully aware (sometimes, or perhaps even often, to a degree of paranoia) that neither side is interested in having a place for an "ex-"underworld assassin and enforcer like himself. His main motivator, at the end of the day, is always to stay alive.
Sometimes the three of them have overlap in their choices made along the story. Sometimes they're polar opposites. Sometimes, they do the same things for vastly different reasons. And that is almost more fun than seeing the outcomes themselves. At the very least, it's definitely at least equally as fun as seeing the outcomes!
But there are also those stories that I've done a certain way and I don't think, at the moment, at least, I'll do them as well again. Savosta and Rhyst, for example, are sort of... the definitive version of my Wrath and Jedi Knight. The Sith Warrior is one of my other favorite stories on some of that variance aspect that's so appealing in Imperial Agent for me, but I just... haven't done it like I did it with Savosta before or since because I'm so satisfied with how he came together. And it's a similar thing with Rhyst and Jedi Knight, although Knight is also... one of the ones that took me the longest to figure out the kind of character I wanted in that role - the kind of character that made me feel really engaged with the story.
And Rhyst is probably also the character I've changed the most about, over the course of his existence - from physical appearance to actually getting a grasp on his motivations and what's stuck with him about his experiences.
And especially since I've worked a lot mentally on how those two develop a relationship with each other, I feel like I'd be missing something that's become a huge part of how I enjoy the full picture between the Knight & Warrior without having a pair of them.
Anyway... Part of this response is maybe for a takeaway of this game is so fucking good when it gets you, and I think part of it's 'goodness,' if you will is how individual the different stories can become when you lean into the 'roleplay' part of it for the characters made, at least in my experience, and... yeah, I'll take the platform to be excited about the many different experiences of all of these characters I have, lol! Part of what I've loved so dearly about this game as a community around it and enjoying the characters I've created for it is how passionate people are with their characters; I think I've used... something of the phrase for trying to discuss Tyr's experiences that... something something, all of that is true, for him, in his eyes, how he sees the world [for whichever character you'd like to apply this to]. His views and actions are justifiable, if you will, from his perspective, just as Alucren's are from his, even though those two I created to be nearly complete opposites to see paths of the Agent campaign I never would just replaying Tyr over and over (though I still do that, clearly), lol.
And... I also meant to touch on and didn't earlier, but... I also distinctly recall saying when I was closer to starting to play this game that I wasn't sure I'd ever quite get why to play the same character in different stories, and now I've got a version of Tyr for each of the tech class stories that were all really fun to explore, and some of them are even... pretty distinct 'versions' of him from the others, if you will. Which does always make me think about that post that goes something about... not "he wouldn't fucking say that" but... what would it take for this character to act or feel this certain way? What aspects of environment and circumstance and who they met, etc etc, form who they are, what their opinions are? What would it take for a Jedi Knight to "fall" to the Sith I think is a bit of a fairly obvious one in Star Wars media, and I, admittedly, sort of avoided that one for a while because I wasn't sure I'd get anything out of the pondering that I'd enjoy with Rhyst, but I've played with it a bit here and there since and it's actually revealed some very interesting insights - things like some of his insecurities that better inform me about the kind of presentations he makes as a Jedi, and better inform his later-in-life complicated feelings with the Order and the Republic in general, even better insight into what he'd like to do maybe after he hangs up his lightsaber, or what kind of life he might've led if he hadn't grown up with the Jedi Order.
I dunno. Honestly, maybe at the end of the day, I love getting this and getting to share this because creating fictional little characters is just fucking cool and fascinating by itself and it's an experience or hobby even, if you will, that's been so much fun for me throughout life that I really hope everyone gets to experience something that engages them this much. They're a really cool vehicle for exploration - and that can mean as much or as little as you want it to. And that's so fucking cool that they can do that.
Anyway pt 2, lol, I love, again as I said, comparing my agents like yardsticks, love yapping about how their differences play out in the story, I am almost always down to talk about Imperial Agents. And Rhyst, stars I need to talk about him more. Which I always say and then I don't without prompting, but genuinely they have almost a whole story together in my head and I'm just not a longfic person so it'll probably never come out that way, but I think about it. Trust that I think about it, lol. And honestly, it's really cool what I learn about them when I talk about them and talk with others. Rhyst is a good example for that; a lot of what I've learned and developed with him and Knight in particular is from yapping with friends and mutuals and hearing some of what others have done; the beauty of having a buddy is that they'll ask about or talk about aspects of the story or characters you might never have considered on your own. Some of my favorite little character facts or insights have honestly come from discussion with friends.
OCs are so fucking cool. Thanks for coming to my TED talk about it, I guess? xD
#dot talk#answered#before i ramble on too much i say lol#but also genuinely. i love yapping about them. asks feed me about this i am always glad to have them xD#alright this can go in the blorbo tags too bc i love keeping insights around#ch: tyr#ch: alucren#ch: nikihlus#ch: savosta#ch: rhyst

Peacebringers
My flagship work, my pride and joy! A story I've worked on for two and a half years now.
Peacebringers
It mainly follows Vajra, a Raudra from Raudraksha. Species is original, and based off the Hindu deity Shiva. He was discovered in the ruins of a tribe that was destroyed by a psychopath Sith Lord; the sole survivor. He was catatonic when he was found, but he heard the song of a lightsaber crystal, which opened him up to the Force and inspired him to join the Jedi visiting his world. What follows is a story of his trials, triumphs, joys, and defeats.
Reasons why I'm proud of it: well, the main one is that I've kept at this for so long. It's quite a decent story, if I may say so myself. While I had a lot of the beats from playing the game, I added a whole lot to give my characters life and depth that I hope shines through. I also set myself a challenge at the start; to write an overpowered character who nonetheless has his flaws and lows, who takes wounds and is a compelling character. In my eyes, I have managed this. My story isn't faithful past a certain point, and I change stuff liberally. But I hope it's a good one. It's been fun writing this, so far. Hopefully, I can write my own novel series soon, with lessons I've learned from this undertaking.
Prologue: Children of the Storm
Book One: Legend of Lightning: This is the Knight's story from SWTOR. It also has a few moments from Sith Warrior and Agent. And pieces from the Foundry.
Book Two: Heroes of Both Sides: Connected short stories of all the other classes. Ends after False Emperor.
Book Three: Conclave of Heroes: This is Shadow of Revan. But it has all my main classes. Some are more prominent than others, but the main ones are Vajra, Kairegane Rooks (Warrior), Hekaten (Darth Nox), Roban Queens (Trooper), Jerre Kraot (Second Smuggler) and a few additional OCs by a friend. Ends after the Ziost crisis.
Book Four: Secret Superpower: This is the first months of the Zakuul war, where Kairegane Rooks attempts to destroy Arcann and his Empire as revenge for his seeming execution of Vajra.
Book Five: Limbo: This is the story of Lana Beniko's long search for Vajra.
Book Six: Beware the Reaper: This is the rest of KOTFE, but heavily modified to the point it diverges from the game canon. I'm nearly done with this one. Seven chapters left, after which I'll begin work on Book Seven.

Behold some of the worst Star Wars takes you've ever seen. "I love Star Wars!" No you don't, Lily. Just like certain reactionary hacks, you hate Star Wars for the most idiotic reasons ever. Case in point: 1) Lily decides to rewrite the sequel trilogy into angst-fest that over-worships the Sith as a misunderstood, persacuted race of people, turns classic characters like Luke and Leia into "old racist white folk" and of course, has her "heroic" character straight-up murder unarmed rich people!
Plus, as someone who adores The Last Jedi as one of the best Star Wars films since The Empire Strikes Back, Lily completely missed the point of the film! It doesn't need to be "fixed" as it's already a compelling deconstruction of Star Wars that challenges the notion of destiny and fixed traditions by having the characters grow through their mistakes: Like Rey learning she doesn't need to be related to someone special know where she belongs; Poe learning to stop and listen to other people's ideas; Finn learning about how other people are effected by the war; Luke learning not to give up on himself.
I get the feeling Lily's bitter because it didn't line up with her own bloated "SWTOR-and-KOTOR-II-are-the-only-SW-media-that-matters-and-the-Sith-are-the-real-good-guys" headcannon.
That and the real reason Lily hates Rose Tico is because she wasn't a sexy traumatized black lesbian with a high body-count. Because, let's face it, Lily didn't create Darth Amorosa because she wanted "diversity" and "representation". No, it was simply because she wanted a black woman to fetishize.

SWtOR-Tober Day 2: Light Side
A lot of my characters currently are mainly LS, but I'm focusing on my main gal again, Wildfi're. (Look at me actually trying to do backgrounds.) This is when she was 13, during the Sacking of Coruscant.
LORE TIME (currently writing a short story during these events, a prequel to her main.)
Wildfi're was born in Ord Mantell, but when she was three, her family moved to Corsucant where she was raised. At school, she had a good mix of friends and people she didn't get along with, but there was this one girl she could not stand. A girl who would start fights and though Wildfi're resisted and tried to ignore her for a while, she eventually caved and verbally tore into the girl. Then both would get into very heated verbal fights that would land them in trouble.
Then the Sacking of Coruscant happened. Wildfi're didn't live that far from the Jedi Temple, so was in the midst of the worst. She was trying to find her parents and during her search, she found said girl hiding in debris instead. She checked in and at first, the girl started screaming and insulting her because Wildfi're's mother was a Mandalorian and she started accusing her of being part of the attack.
And this moment (her canon event lol) centered her moral compass, which defined her as the Havoc Squad leader; the Outlander. She saw that they were both scared, both impacted by this attack, but ne of them needed to lead them out of the dangers. She didn't just leave the girl until her parents came (if they did ever). She still offered her hand out, telling her to "shut up, we need to work together to survive."
They ended up working together, combing their way through and helping stragglers/survivors that they encountered. They found Wildfi're parents' first, then the girls' came. They didn't trust Wildfi're's family, so they took their daughter and left. She had no idea where they went afterward.
So she is my LS Trooper. Very few times she's done DS options (usually because the only LS option is so ridiculous. Such as letting certain people go who should be arrested or detained at least??? Or the last Class Story choice??) Tried to be subtle in the art with the sun, clouded by the attack, doing a light "halo" around her. (Very very happy with how the sky turned out.
Reference of the challenge below! Saw that the maker has a tumblr so credit to jdiknight! (Didn't tag because I don't want to bother people? It feels weird because I feel like I'm spaming but I want to give credit.)

Wip Whenever
This is for @reigrace-keyboardjam’s challenge.
All this fics are multifandom writing wips, because itjrir multifadom I did a bit of explaining, so the vision could still seem and enjoyed even if it’s a foreign fandom.
[Unnamed My Hero Academia (mha) piece]
This is a crack fic from the perspective Detective Naomasa who meets the villain Mr Compress at a grocery store. The thing is Naomasa has a super power to detect the truth when people lie. So when he meets suave undercover Compress buying… er stealing for his villain friends, things… get out of hand.
Especially when Naomasa learn that the man is lying about having a daughter, being a police officer Naomasa assumes the worst and trying to arrest. They end up handcuffed together with cuffs that cancel out their superpowers. Naomasa is unable to detect truth while attached to a proven lier. So now they have to work together to get the handcuffs off. Who knows maybe an unlikely friendship will occur.
Know how or idea why I came this story idea but the brain worms won’t go away.
(Beneath the Aragon Sea a transformers fic)
This story is a coming of age story that centers around a young Hot Rod. Who returns to his war ravaged planet Cybertron with the autobots only to get captured by Quintesson invaders, who are capturing both autobot and their enemy decepticons for slave.
Through an accident Hot Rod absorbs the matrix of leadership, this gets noticed by Soundwave takes him and they escape. So Hot Rod finds himself pretending to be leader while he tries to return the matrix to its rightful owner Optimus Prime, which means going back to where they escaped from.
So stuck with a powerful enemy Hot Rod from collects fellow survivors like Pokemon. Which be good thing if he didn’t have to lead them through the bowls of a planet that is very much alive (survival with slight horror). Many of these people also don’t like each other so his work is cut for him.
This fic has two chapters already published. It is also a glorified excuse to write about my favorite, action adventure and describe cool metal planet scenery as well as worldbuild to my heart desire.
(Wind Bound Embers a genshin fanfic)
This one features Detective Heizou who decides to take an unexpected vacation to a foreign nation. Which is really an excuses to investigate a shady or Giza toon known as the Fatui at their hotspot.
However he not the only foreigner investing fatui activities, as the Dark Hero (basically Batman) turns up as well. They get all in each other way over their rivaling investigations and shenanigans ensue.
Bruh writing out my wipes like this made me realize have a thing character development through comedic High-jinks 🤣 I blame you Rei.
(Unnamed Starwar Old Republic Fic)
Would like to write a 5-6 chapter fic where each chapter focus a my Jedi Consolars relationship with each of her class companions.
I plan to write more Swtor stuff in the future when I’ve fleshed out my legacy more. So that I have better sense of how the pieces fit together. So sitting on my hands for now.
Thank you for the challenge!

Warrior: Asha Kûsk
Asha Kûsk • Pureblooded Ziost Sith • haunted by...betrayals • loyal, disciplined, sardonic •
Age: 17 as of SWtOR, 18 as of end of SWOR prologue
Backstory, Personality, Story Themes/Character Arc/Motivations and Fears, Looks
BACKSTORY
Asha is a pureblood Sith born the only child of an aristocratic family on Ziost. Despite being born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she had the usual upbringing of a Sith - one filled with conflicts and competitions, with very little strong family bonds.
Most Sith have qualities like mercy and kindness beaten out of them very early in life, but Asha's slightly different in that respect. Her natural instinct was towards traits viewed as weakness was cause for concern for her parents and trainers. However, she was proving herself to be a prodigy in lightsaber combat, and her "weak" traits certainly weren't holding her back from decimating her peers. For this reason, her mentors didn't quite discipline her as much as they should have done had they wanted to fully remove that instinct from her.
Despite showing less proficiency in Force magic than in dueling, she has a deep reverence and respect towards ancient Sith sorcery. This is in part due to her parents being strongly religious, members of the kissai priest caste in Sith society. Asha accompanied them on regular religious pilgrimages to Korriban, and from a young age was trained to be involved in the performing of sacrifices and rituals. These are some of her happiest memories from a childhood in which conflict was the norm.
PERSONALITY
loyal, disciplined, sardonic
loyal, honorable, just - She would much prefer to spare lives at the expense of her connection to the Dark Side, seeing no reason to waste time and energy fighting unnecessarily, and seeing value in rewarding loyalty. She has a healthy respect for a worthy enemy, no matter what threat they possess; in fact she encourages foes to embrace their power, as she'd rather have the satisfaction of defeating a challenger at their best than helpless. She hates the idea of the ends justify the means, and hates the idea of wasting loyal Imperial lives. She absolutely detests Jedi because she views them as violent and egotistical hypocrites
unhesitating, diligent, resolved, strong willed, effective - while she may struggle with decisions owing to the expectations of others (explained more in a bit), she doesn't actually have a problem with decision making in the moment. The problem comes after, with regret or guilt or doubt. In the moment however, she can make decisions in a split second and then she sticks by them regardless of how she feels
disciplined, rigorous, competitive, ambitious, vigorous, intuitive - it's sorta impossible for anyone to survive as a Sith without a healthy dose of these traits
bold, passionate, a natural leader - she isn't afraid to take risks, and she doesn't do things by halves. The fact that she's a Sith who openly cares about the people under her makes her stand out in the Empire, and makes working for her a desirable position
rage filled, forceful, intimidating, proud, brutal - while it may not be her natural personality, she still did grow up on Ziost surrounded by Sith. She believes war and violence are just as much a part of the natural order of life as peace and serenity, and has a natural respect for strength. She also likes to encourage her enemies to see her as a brute in order to take advantage of their underestimation of her
charming, friendly - this often takes people by surprise, but Asha sees no reason to be rude to people, especially not to allies and Imperials
dry, sardonic, quick witted, sarcastic humor - pretty self explanatory
Best quality: how open she is to affection, despite the dog-eat-dog world she grew up in - she is able to separate trusting someone from caring about someone, and is able to use her affection for others as a channel for the Dark Side
Worst quality: her difficulty in reconciling her own person beliefs with the expectations placed on her, leading her to often go against her own values and leading to occasional regret and lack of self assurance
STORY THEMES/CHARACTER ARC/ MOTIVATIONS AND FEARS
Betrayal versus trust and loyalty, living up to others' expectations, the desire for family, recognition of achievements
Asha was raised in a world where it is impossible to trust anyone. Parents would turn on their own children if they felt it necessary. She is faced with betrayals over and over throughout the course of her story. Something she desperately craves is the ability to trust the people she cares about. Learning how to navigate trust and relationships with and without it is a key recurring lesson and theme for her.
The other big one for her is expectation. She has the expectations of her family, her species, the Empire, and even outsiders and her enemies weighing upon her, telling her that as a Sith (in both senses of the word) she should be bloodthirsty and ruthless, that she should take pleasure in the suffering of others and only look out for herself. However, this is not necessarily (completely) her natural instinct or personality. She struggles when making decisions as to whether or not she should do what she feels a "good Sith" would do, even if that would not necessarily be the most effective or logical thing to do.
A more minor character arc for Asha is learning when to take credit for her achievements. While not necessarily a humble person, she is perfectly fine with allowing others to take credit for her own abilities if she feels it necessary (or if she feels it unnecessary to correct someone otherwise). Something she grows to learn is what times it is appropriate to allow this, and when she is allowed to display the pride she feels for herself.
Her goal as a leader is to be simultaneously brutal, effective, and just.
LOOKS
Obviously, she has the red skin of a Sith. She has bone ridges across her cheekbones, brow, and sternum, and small bone spurs on her elbows, though she does not have eyebrow tendrils. Her teeth are slightly simian (with a slight gap between the incisors and canines), and naturally pointed, though she files down her incisors.
She has a full lower lip, and wears traditional Sith facial jewelry in the form of a gold lip ring in the centre of her bottom lip, as well as earrings (dual lobe piercings) and ear cuffs. She also has very high cheekbones, a pointed chin, and small ears. Her nose is small and crooked from being broken in the past.
Her hair is a dark red, cut into a lob - somewhere between her chin and shoulders. It's layered, with loose and fluffy curls, and a widow's peak. It grows slightly longer over the course of her travels, reaching shoulder length.
She kind of is eclectic with her style, mostly going by what she thinks looks cool rather than having any specific styles that she prefers. She generally likes intimidating looks and experimental makeup. Some clothes she likes include suits, dark armour, and traditional Sith clothing. She will sometimes include in her outfits experimental technological augmentation. She always wears traditional Sith jewelry, and often talismans and amulets created by and imbued with Sith alchemy.

hi sorry I haven't gotten around to your ask yet I'm working on it, BUT I'm tossing the favorite SWTOR oc question back your way (and also whether they're following canon or doing their own thing).
I'd also love to know if you have any particular bothan headcanons you like a lot.
Hi hi!! Don't worry at all, please take your time with your response! We're all here for fun and interactions, not pressure, right? And thankyou for asking!!!
Now, part one is easy, haha. Ahuska is hands down my number one best favourite SWTOR OC, even if she appears somewhat differently in game than in my imagination. She's my main toon, the only one actually up to speed with game content, the only one with passable gear, lots of fun pets and mounts and outfits, and is currently working on polishing up her Mojo Dojo Copero Dream House.
(I absolutely need to draw her as her proper bothan self in this outfit!)
BUT, where she matters to me even more than that is in her story/RP, and here things diverge... quite a lot, hahaha. Very very originally she was just a toon that I made to PVP alongside my husband with (I actually did think of her as a bothan right from the start), but when I found myself hungry for RP I fleshed her out a little to join a RP guild in game which is where her life really started (particularly owing to @koboldgirl and the exceptional times we've had writing together). The group's premise was a Mandalorian clan rebuilding itself after all the Zakuul business, but despite that vague timeframe her story never really touched on swtor events or canon characters (the toon is an Imperial Agent but she is not REMOTELY an Agent, even as much as I love the IA storyline). Over time I made a bunch of wonderful friends in the swtor community and Ahuska's story has intercepted a few others here and there, and from that perspective keeping the timeline vague/unimportant and away from key canon characters/moments has really helped with being able to have her interact with others without contradicting their own things they have going on. I think engaging with other characters/writers is what motivates me more than anything and I get a tonne of joy in seeing/considering/plotting how they might interact!
(Read more for things getting weird and werewolfy.)
Now, Ahuska also took a deep dive into an AU with @askshivanulegacy that started as a halloween drabble challenge and has somehow become literal years of very intense worldbuilding and fiction and words can't describe how much I love this story, hahaha. It's still very much Ahuska, and very much swtor, it's just... swtor if the Empire managed to perfect a weird-science-sith-alchemy-intelligence-conditioning combo to create a very star-warsy version of werewolves (and were-any-other-critter). The first generation were designed to be secret soldiers/weapons, but the project failed and Ahuska is the sole survivor, going on a wonderful journey of self liberation and learning what truly makes a monster. The second generation (and all subsequent) came from Intel refining the technology and utilising it as an extra toolset for the most elite of elite Cipher agents, which is where almost all the rest of the cast comes from. Naturally there's a lot of divergence from canon here by the very nature of things, but funnily we also lean on a lot more canon swtor story beats, particularly when we look ahead to the KotFE and beyond time period.

I have so much love for every iteration of Ahuska, honestly, and I know I've mentioned it here and there but she really truly did play a huge role in pulling me out of a pretty grim place, not only helping me rediscover a lot of creativity but also helping to restore my trust and faith in people in general. She's led me to people who are now my absolute dearest friends, which in turn has taken me quite literally, physically across this humble planet we live on. I genuinely believe sharing stories is a massive part of what makes us human and I get very sentimental when I consider what a significant place this silly little bothan holds in my heart <3
Now, it's getting late for me, haha, so I will probably visit the second part of your ask in another post, but I love that as a question! >3 Once again ty for sending this and I can't wait to hear about yours!

i'm gonna say something controversial: i have no problem with, and actually enjoy, the class/role-based glamour restrictions.
ffxiv has kind of a middle-ground between the two other multiplayer, "fashion is the real endgame" games i've played before: destiny 2, where there is no such thing as universal cosmetic gear at all, and swtor, whose majority of fashion comes from micro-transactions and can be worn on any class. though players typically follow trends based on their class, you can wear whatever so long as you own it.
ffxiv has a decent array of universal cosmetic items that can be obtained in-game or from the online store. but the majority of its gear is restricted by class/role. healers, tanks, casters, ranged dps, and the three separate categories for melee dps (lol) all have their own Style. there are general similarities between roles, though. healers and casters usually share gear models but in different colors (which if a gearset is dyeable, that doesn't really matter). same with tank and maiming dps gear. striking and scouting. etc.
again, if you want the same glam for all your jobs, there's quite a bit of universal cosmetic items - including the old replica sets. but the role-based items in particular are quite interesting because, if we take the statement "fashion is the real endgame" literally, it makes it more challenging. you do have to grind more for the other armor sets if you don't already have them. you have to be creative about the way you combine items if there's a particular vibe you're going for, and you have to do it with limited options - you may have to find alternatives.
swtor treats player fashion really like an add-on to the game. there are sets that can be obtained in game, but most of them cannot be added to your collections and used between characters. i think they added non-store items to collections some years ago, but again, that's the exception, not the rule. which, for a game that assumes that you will be playing multiple characters - at least two, to get the imp/pub storylines - this is a real bummer. combined with the fact that "cool looking gear" is not usually a reward for in-game content? fashion in swtor is about if you can pay for it or not.
destiny 2 is a bit better, but usually the better looking gear was from raids or other endgame content. which, when reaching the endgame takes so much needless grinding, the main avenue for fashion for most is the online store.
in ffxiv, especially the last few expansions (the glamour options were ROUGH before STB, and even then, i think the best sets generally are from SHB onward), fashion is quite literally its own kind of endgame, in that gear is the reward for all kinds of upper level and endgame content. i don't know if this has changed with DT, but to get dyeable versions of raid gear, you have to do the savage version. to get weapons from trials, you do the extremes (except for the older trials, where there are craftable, tradeable cosmetic versions).
while i will argue the AF armor should've always been dyeable, it's interesting to note as well that prior to DT, dyeable versions of the AF armor was locked behind either optional or endgame content.
idk. fashion is its own kind of gameplay in ffxiv compared to other games, so i think it makes even more sense that most of the gear from combat- or crafting/gathering content is restricted by class or role. i'd really be happy to have more actual fantasy cosmetic sets versus the trendy modern fashion ones, but i don't think the class or role restrictions are the actual issue. and yknow what. i think they're fun, and i think it makes sense for the game.
