What Cars Would All the Little Characters in The Amazing Digital Circus Drive?
Welcome! To the AMAZING DIGITAL car show? That's right! We're gonna profile all of the characters and figure out what each of them would drive, based on their personality and requirements.
Starting off with the most popular total irredeemable asshole, Jax!
Jax is the worst. He's brilliantly entertaining, but he really only cares about himself and entertaining himself. He needs a car that's driver-focused. Something fast enough to get into trouble, and fancy enough that he can feel better about himself driving it.
His modified BMW 328i coupe fits perfectly. It's the perfect combination of smug and wrathful that suits him. It's also lightly modified on larger wheels, basic "cold air" intake (the box said 10 horsepower!) and a crackle tune with a shitty exhaust. It pops and bangs along as he weaves through traffic, the turn signal stalk having never been touched once.
Next up! Our favorite ray of sunshine, Ragatha.
Ragatha is a sweetheart. Often, sickeningly so. She needs a car with as much preschool teacher-energy that she has.
Ragatha has a Kia Soul. She saw the hamster commercials on TV and thought they were adorable. When she walked into the dealership, the salesman's mouth watered at seeing an easy target. She pointed to the top of the line model right in the center of the dealer showroom and said "That one is adorable! can I have that one?". She then spent 3 hours in the dealership getting fleeced for every single optional extra the Kia salesperson could come up with.
Moving onto our resident bug collector, Kinger!
Kinger, despite not really being all there most of the time, is clearly very intelligent. He seems the most aware of the actual mechanical functions of the Digital Circus, and fans theorize that his "bug collecting" comes from being a QA tester before he got shlorped into the circus.
Kinger would absolutely drive a SAAB 9-5 Aero Wagon. Fun Fact! Back when SAAB actually existed, they had, statistically, the highest-educated drivers of any car brand. I actually work at a major university, and I still see a good dozen SAABs being driven by professors with more degrees than a thermostat.
My lovely dysphoric darling Zooble is next!
Zooble is a functionalist. They're observant and intelligent, but they feel unheard in the circus. Zooble needs a car that works hard for them. They value the utility of their vehicle above all else, and their car can often blend into the background unseen.
Zooble's Ford Ranger is perfect for them. It's an truck. It goes down the road, it has space in the back for objects and things. Rangers were rather disposable back in the day, but luckily they're quite repairable which makes up for it. Zooble has no problems getting their hands greasy when need be!
Unmasking to our next little character, Gangle!
Gangle loves Manga, she's an artist who's not very sure of herself. She likes Japanesey-things, which like, who doesn't? and we also know her old job as a shift manager! This means we know her budget, which is: low
Gangle likes her Nissan Micra because it's cute. She got it because it was cheap, and she keeps it because it's good on gas and surprisingly fun to drive! Low weight will do that to ya.
Finally getting to the big man himself, Caine! no relation to Abel.
Caine is larger than life. He needs a car just as insanely exaggerated as he is, something that has no basis in real-world practicality, but is just more. More engine, more bodywork, more flair, more everything.
The 1930 Cadillac V16 Phaeton is exactly that. It's 18 and a half feet long, has 8 headlights, two grilles, two spare tires, two entire dashboards! The rear seat passengers even have their own windshield they can flip up when the roof is down. Not to mention the incredible V16 engine means it has double the cylinders and double the size of an already very large V8. It also has an "awooga" horn which just feels right.
Finally! Last but never the least, our protagonist herself, Pomni!
Pomni is down to earth. She values things she can be sure of, and the Digital Circus really throws all of that off a cliff. She's also reasonably intelligent, emotionally and numerically. She would value a car that gets her from point A to point B, every single time while carrying whatever she needs to carry. Something she can rely on.
She'd drive a Toyota Corolla Hatchback. Dependable. Reliable. There when you need it, just like Pomni.
Thank you for tuning into another What Cars Would All the Little Characters Drive! Comment any suggestions for the next cartoon you'd like to see!

If I ever get back to my own timeline, the first thing I'm going to do is bury my Doc Martens so far up the ass of The Professor that he's going to wish he had never heard of dimensional travel. You certainly can't blame me for going along with it. It all sounded so good: with an infinity of other universes, chances are one of them is gonna have a low-miles 1978 Plymouth Volare that I can bring back home.
That universe, if it does exist, isn't this one. I knew as soon as I stepped out of the warp that things were different. The air hung thick with the smell of two-stroke oil. Screaming wasp-like engines ran at incomprehensibly high revs. Japanese kanji were stapled on the side of every building, making it nearly impossible for my illiterate ass to navigate the downtown well enough to secure a taxi cab. I stumbled through the rain-slick streets in search of a store with enough triple-A batteries to get home.
Something that looked like a hardware store approached from the gloom. The horrific shrieking din grew from all sides. Did they know I was coming? Were they hunting me? That's when I saw it. A family hatchback, containing a family. Front-wheel-drive. Nothing special. In the front, though, a shrieking dorito, its induction scoop jutting through an entirely absent hood. In this universe, rotary engines had won the war. Something in the laws of physics didn't go the same way here as it did in our realm. Pistons were virtually extinct, hunted to the ends of the Earth.
I could not bear to see if I could find my beloved Mopars in this world. If any had survived at all, they would be incomprehensible. And how bad would a Chrysler-helmed Wankel engine be? How horrifying would Saab have become, in this triangle-shaped hell? Most of all, I feared falling in love with it, refusing to continue the sliding. The good news is that these things had such low compression after a couple weeks of use, that 48-volt marine batteries were cheap as hell. Even if I did have to pay for them with chunks of my own hair.

Old Saabs are great because they're unique, sporty, practical, safe, reliable, stylish, and comfortable. They're everything that new cars want to be, and they do it in a way that doesn't conform to the rest of the crowd. They're innovative, one of the first hatchbacks to get a turbo. They're so, so weird (a key in between the front seats, an engine that sits on top of its own transmission and is mounted BACKWARDS) and yet they're so innovative that they have features you'd see in today's cars. Somehow, they set trends while standing out. If you want to make cool, unique, and memorable cars, don't ask a car company. Ask an aircraft company.

The Staggering Cost of Losing Europe's Arms Market (and trust) | Part 3: Drones!
Over the last few weeks, we’ve showcased Europe’s cutting-edge military capabilities—from tanks, GMLRS, fighter jets, IFVs, APCs, and air defence systems. In this episode, we shift our focus to one of the most rapidly evolving aspects of modern warfare: drones, anti-drone technology, electronic warfare, and satellite capabilities. Segment 1: Fixed-Wing Drones European manufacturers are redefining endurance and versatility on the battlefield. In this segment, we explore flagship projects like the Eurodrone program and highlight combat-proven systems such as the Slovenian-made C-astral, Danish Heidrun from Sky Watch, Tekever’s long-endurance platforms, and the Dutch DeltaQuad Evo and Pro. These drones—engineered for extended ISR missions with high-resolution sensors and modular payloads—are transforming how surveillance and precision strikes are executed. Segment 2: FPV Drones & Loitering Munitions Next, we delve into the world of FPV drones and loitering munitions. From innovative designs like Lithuania’s Sphak and Finland’s Steel Eagle to mass-produced 3D-printed variants like Goida, Bavovna, and Nort Varta, these agile platforms are proving indispensable in Ukraine. We also look at European loitering munitions, including Poland’s Warmate, KNDS’s Colibri, and other emerging systems that offer affordability and scalability in dynamic combat scenarios. Segment 3: European Counter-Drone Measures As drone technology advances, so does the need for effective countermeasures. We break down how European defence industries are developing sophisticated electronic warfare capabilities—like Italian ELT’s scramblers and Sweden’s Saab Sirius system—to jam, disrupt, and neutralize hostile drones. We also examine kinetic solutions from Rheinmetall and Poland’s Pilica system, as well as experimental laser-based directed energy weapons and advanced autonomous combat drones from Turkey and collaborative projects like Eurodrone and BAE’s Taranis. Segment 4: The Bigger Picture What does all this mean for European defence? The integration of cutting-edge drone systems with robust counter-drone measures signals a major strategic shift. By developing home-grown, scalable solutions, Europe is not only enhancing its offensive and defensive capabilities but also setting new benchmarks in military innovation and strategic autonomy.

Saab 92HK & 95HK, 1963/1965. Two prototype motorhomes that looked like self-propelled caravans and were built by Torsten Johannesson using engines from a Saab 92 and 95 respectively. The 25hp 2 stroke 2 cylinder engine in the 92 struggled with the van's weight, the 95 started life with a 40hp 2 stroke 3 cylinder engine but was upgraded to the Ford V4 engine that powered the 95. Johannesson's efforts to interest Saab in diversifying into motorhomes were unsuccessful and both HK RVs remained as one-offs. They are popular as scale models however

Saab 900 Sport Convertible Concept
What if... Saab brought back this convertible with the old name while staying true to it's roots but as a coupe and convertible. With a range of engines and transmission that are from 2.0 Liter 4 cylinder turbo hybrid, 2.3 Liter 4 cylinder hybrid, 2.5 Liter V6 hybrid. And transmission ranger that are 6-speed manual, return of a modified 6-speed Sensonic semi-automatic, and 8-speed automatic transmission. The front grill here is for sportier car models with an adaptive cruise sensor behind the emblem. With this being a performance oriented convertible it has a retractable hard top versus the conventional cloth top.

Airbus A319 Adria Airways
Registration: S5-AAX Type: A319-111 Engines: 2 × CFMI CFM56-5B5/P Serial Number: 1000 First flight: Mar 30, 1999
Adria Airways was Slovenia's flagship airline and the largest airline operating scheduled and charter flights to various European destinations. Founded in March 1961 as Adria Aviopromet, it later became known as Inex-Adria Airways, and then acquired its final name – Adria Airways.
The airline joined the Star Alliance in 2004 and entered into codeshare agreements with several major airlines, including Aeroflot, Air India, Air Serbia, Austrian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines and Turkish Airlines. Adria Airways' main hub was Ljubljana's Jože Pucnik Airport, and it also operated flights from Pristina and Tirana. On September 30, 2019, Adria Airways ceased operations due to financial difficulties.
In the last years of operations, Adria operated a fleet consisting of Airbus, Bombardier and SAAB. The airline began acquaintance with the Airbus A320 family in 1989. It was the first A320 aircraft equipped with International Aero Engines V2500 engines. Subsequently, most Airbuses at Adria Airlines flew on such engines.
The A319 aircraft were mainly used for short- and medium-haul flights within Europe. A number of popular routes included flights from Ljubljana to Manchester, from Bucharest to Munich, as well as other European destinations. Adria Airways received its first Airbus A319 in April 2010 and registered S5-AAP. Just a month later, Adria received a second A319, registered as S5-AAR. Both aircraft were traditionally equipped with IAE V2500 engines.
The third A319 with registration S5-AAX was the airline's latest acquisition, and it joined its fleet only in 2015. It was different from its counterparts – it had CFM56 engines under the wing, 142 seats were installed in the cabin (instead of 144), and it had a "round" serial number – 1000. In short, he was a great original.

LMAOO so in my Modern Reincarnation AU I have Karl working as a software engineer for Saab in their drone department. And just today I see an article from heise online about how Saab just presented some new technology that enables you to control up to 100 drones at once and that those running out of battery can return to base on their own. Love how this fits so well.

Most dogs are trapped in an endless loop of boredom. After millennia of hanging out in the wild, they're now stuck in suburbia. Just like their so-called best friend, the human, dogs yearn for stimulation that they're not getting in their off-eggshell-white, HOA-controlled economic-efficiency prisons. In recent history, these stimuli used to come from long rides in cars, but with the price of gas, and especially the death of our beloved Saab Automobile AB, who can afford to just drive their dog around while they bark at weird birds they see on the highway?
In the modern era, the rapid development of "dog parks" has attempted to provide a substitute to the demanding dog. No roar of engines, sure, but you get to run around a bit, maybe bite a Little League player. Unfortunately, dog parks are expensive to safely fence, and the poop has lots of negative impacts on the local real estate market, which we have collectively decided is the most important thing in existence and should be the sole survivor of our civilization, the only mark in the historical record that we were ever here. So they get turned into luxury condos.
Trains would be an option for the bored pooch-about-town, had we thought to build them. Dogs are notoriously enthusiastic about steam locomotives in particular, a fact which alternately thrills and horrifies animal psychologists the world over. Electric less so: the inverter whine hurts their little ears, and most of those run underground, where the only thing to bark at is weird rats. No fun at all. Streetcars, you ask? Don't make me laugh. You know what happened to that clown college at the bottom of the hill.
There is, however, hope. At the pet store, I have just now found this rubber bee that squeaks when you squeeze it. I am assured that it is the end of dog boredom for all eternity, or at least until my miniature Pomeranian, Ripper, tears the squeaker out and pukes it up on my duvet at 3:15 in the morning. Don't thank me: I'm just doing my part for all of dogkind.
