This chapter may not be pleasant to read for some people.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I know it's too early, Hanma. Listen, did that bitch had said anything about their boss?” Sanzu paced around the living room, his voice growing irritated.
“We already established that Kuroda and the rest were just admins, so stop talking nonsense.”
The question was swirling in your mind about what Yuji had done to you that your subconscious had decided to erase his existence from your memory as much as possible. In fact, you didn't remember many events related to his character, and yet he spent almost all his time at home.
He was older than you by how much? About 12-13 years? Yeah. Mai was seven years younger than him, and when she was home, he was never far from her side. He helped her with her studies, with her school projects...
“She must know something!” Sanzu shouted, stopping in his tracks, and as you sipped the alcohol from the glass, you saw the hand he had clenched into a fist starting to shake. “Maybe it would be easier if I talked to her myself? Oh, you know I would get everything I want to know out of that bitch.”
He was never far from her side... You were just a little shit who didn't understand many things back then, but now...
“Yuji was obsessed with her.” You mumbled and drank the contents of the glass in one gulp. “He was fucking obsessed with her.”
The pink-haired man continued talking, or rather arguing, with Hanma on the phone, completely ignoring your words. Maybe he didn't even hear them, so without anyone stopping you, you took the bottle of alcohol you had just started and started drinking straight from the bottle.
You remembered your father's words, which you once overheard while walking past your parents' bedroom.
“It's not healthy, Sachiko. He does something he shouldn't. We are Family."
"I know babe. Mai is afraid of him.”
“He treats Tomoko like a sister…”
“Which it is by virtue of actual kinship. Yuji just got lost..."
“Don't defend him. He's my son, my firstborn, but I can't bear to look at him. I can't accept what he's doing, and neither can you."
“Kenzou…”
“He's 25 years old, damn it, he's not a kid!”
You didn't hear the rest of the conversation because your father closed the door, not knowing that you were standing right next to them. You remembered taking steps towards your eldest sister's room, but on the way, Tomoko grabbed you, placing a finger to her lips to keep you quiet.
You knew what that meant. Yuji was at home, in his room, and if he heard you around Mai, you would be in serious trouble.
You felt the alcohol starting to burn your throat, but you didn't mind. The feeling was strangely soothing and as soon as you noticed that there wasn't much alcohol left at the bottom and Sanzu left for the bedroom - still talking on the phone, you got up from the sofa and went to the small bar where he kept more alcohol.
You were going to get drunk, even drink yourself into unconsciousness, which would allow you to forget about your brother, at least for a moment. Too bad, maybe Sanzu will kill you for your weakness, but you didn't give a damn about it.
“Yes, I have my suspicions.” Haruchiyo said louder, returning to the living room wearing a shirt and pants. “I won't tell you who we mean… Yes, we, me and Y/n…”
You started drinking from another bottle, feeling an increasingly pleasant tingling sensation in all your limbs. You took two more bottles in your hand and headed back to the sofa so you could sit on it and enjoy your alcoholic beverages.
Suddenly, Sanzu's hand took one of the bottles from you, and when you looked at his face, it had a strange expression mixed with irritation at the drawn-out conversation with Shuji Hanma. He shook his head and you shrugged, continuing your journey to the comfortable lounge furniture.
“Focus, Hanma. How the fuck are you focused?” He loudly put the bottle back in its place and began pacing around the room again. You watched him calmly, taking a sip of alcohol from the bottle every now and then. “Who did she mention? Yuu? So, this fucker is their boss? Good, good. Now we're starting to come to some sort of agreement, you fucker..."
Yuu... Yuuta... Yuji...
You took a few long gulps and leaned your head back, mumbling under your breath. “Yuji might be Yuu…”
"What?" You heard Haruchiyo's voice close to you. “Not you, Hanma. Y/n, what did you say?”
“Yuji might be Yuu. I wouldn't be surprised at all. He's a fucking psycho." You answered him, staring at the ceiling.
“Fuck... Yeah, Yuji is the guy we suspect. Don't eavesdrop..." Sanzu growled into the phone and took a few steps forward, then stopped and walked to the sofa where you were drinking alcohol. “Why do you think so?”
You shrugged. "And why not?"
“Hanma, deal with Emiko. Get more out of her about this whole Yuu thing.” Sanzu said after a while and ended the call, throwing the phone onto one of the armchairs. “Stop drinking.”
You ignored him, finishing the bottle of liquor and setting it on the coffee table. Sanzu sat down in the other armchair and out of the corner of your eye you saw him swallowing drugs. You looked at the last bottle he hadn't taken from you and grimaced slightly.
“You don't have any vodka?”
“Should I take this away from you?” The answer came, so you shrugged, accepting the type of drink and took a sip. “Stop drinking, I'm serious.”
“Take care of your pills.” You grunted and you get hit with a small pillow, which you put aside unfazed and poured the burning liquid into your mouth again.
“Why would your brother compete with Bonten?”
“He's not competing with Bonten.”
“Care to explain what you mean?” Haruchiyo asked, still irritated. “He's endangering Mikey.”
"Not him. Yuji is endangering me. The murdering of whores and the actual attempts to threaten the syndicate was solely on the part of Kuroda and the rest.” You answered after a short moment of thought.
“And the Uchiyamas?”
You stopped your hand with the bottle halfway to your mouth. Well, what about them?
“Maybe… Fifty fifty?”
"What?"
“They acted as a means of disposing of our prostitutes, but because of Emiko they were more… Umm… Related to… Harming me? I don't know, Sanzu.”
“She didn't know you were alive. Have you forgotten that there was a contract for your head?”
Exactly. You forgot. You placed the bottle between your thighs so you wouldn't have to reach for it on the table, and you clearly intended to drink the entire contents. No matter what Haru said...
“So, they were going to harm Bonten.” You said, running your fingers through your hair.
“But they worked directly for Yuu, not Kuroda and Nagano like everyone thought, so…”
“Don't mess with my head, Sanzu, for fuck's sake.” You interrupted him and drank from the bottle again.
“Not in that tone.” Haruchiyo stood up abruptly from the chair he was sitting in and walked over to you. He grabbed the bottle you held close to your mouth and tried to take it away from you. “Give it back, you've had enough to drink.”
“No.” You slapped his hand and saw his eyes widen in disbelief. “Let me finish. I need it."
“You need purity of mind, not alcohol!” The man got angry and tried to take the bottle from you again, but you grabbed it from his grasp and wagged your finger at him.
“Let. Me. Finish.” You gritted out through your teeth and then you felt a stinging pain on your cheek and your head snapped to the side. Haruchiyo slapped you.
This time, when his hand reached for the bottle that was still in your hand, you let him take it. You were too busy trying not to punch him back to react to the confiscation.
“You're getting nasty.” He said, still nervous, but sat down next to you and turned your face towards him. “Can't you see this motherfucker is starting to control you? You haven't even seen him yet and he already has power over you."
“Let Hanma cut off her next fingers.” You mumbled, feeling the effects of the alcohol again. Your eyes began to move over Sanzu's face, not lingering on any point.
“He's already cut off enough of her fingers.” The pink-haired man grimaced as he watched your face.
“Then let him cut off the rest of them. We won't let her go anyway.”
“Y/n…”
“If not the fingers, let him start burning her.” You huffed, tightening your fingers on his wrists.
“Knowing Hanma, he's already tried that…”
“Then let him roast her nipples. Damn it, Sanzu... She doesn't need them for anything.”
His bright eyes widened, and his face showed disbelief once again. "What?"
You licked your lips, feeling your mouth dry and moved his hands away from your face. “You heard me. I can do it myself..."
“Y/n…” Haruchiyo laughed uncertainly, watching you struggle to get up from the sofa and take a few wobbly steps towards the entrance door to the apartment. “You won't go anywhere in this condition. You won't even be able to put your shoes on..."
“Then I'll go barefoot…” You mumbled, holding yourself against the wall.
"Absolutely not." The man sighed and grabbed your arm confidently, offering you better support, which you took advantage of.
“For me, Hanma can burn her cunt. She won't get much use out of it.”
“God, Y/n... I've never known you like this before.” He chuckled as he led you towards the door, but it wasn't until you were through them that you noticed that you had gone through the wrong one.
“Haru, silly, this is the bedroom…” You frowned and tried to turn around, eager to try to leave the apartment again, but his grip on his fingers tightened.
“Oh, I know what I'm doing.” The other sighed and pushed you onto the bed, where you fell rather limply.
You propped yourself awkwardly on your elbows and lifted your head with difficulty to look at the pink-haired man who poured a glass of water from a carafe on the cabinet and sat on the edge of the bed, handing it to you.
“Drink this. You barely ate anything, and you shouldn't drink on an empty stomach... Even Rindou wouldn't be that drunk after so much alcohol.” He said in a calm voice and you took the glass from him.
You drank its contents and your head fell back onto the mattress. “Don't tell him about this... Please.” You mumbled as you felt your eyelids getting heavy.
You saw Haruchiyo's face above you, watching yours closely. His soft hair tickled your cheeks and the fingers of his hand danced over your healing lip and eyebrow.
“I'm tired…” You muttered quietly and closed your eyes, feeling everything start to spin.
“Of course you are, honey.” Sanzu answered you and you felt something warm and wet on your cheek, followed by a few small kisses. “Sleep, Y/n.” Tickling on the neck. “I'll take care of everything, you don't have to worry about anything.”
His voice was soft, warm... Soothing. You wanted to look at him, but you could only open one eye. He was still leaning over you, the warmth of his body surrounding you in a pleasant wave.
You tried to lift your hand to touch him, but his hands were faster and pressed yours to the mattress above your head.
“Haru?...”
“Shhh…” He kissed your ear and you sighed softly. “Let me take care of you.” You felt another kiss on your neck and you tried to move your hand again, but this time you couldn't. You didn't have the strength for it.
The alcohol must have had a much greater effect on you than usual, but you didn't feel the slightest bit anxious. Sanzu was with you, and you knew everything would be okay. He said so himself...
You saw his face again and his rosy lips were stretching into a beautiful smile, so the corners of your mouth twitched upwards slightly, trying to answer him in kind.
He kissed you tenderly and you blew out a breath through your nose, closing your eyes and giving in to another wave of tiredness.
“Such a good boy.” You heard him whisper and fell asleep.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You woke up after what felt like an eternity of sleep. Your body felt numb, as if you were sleeping in a very uncomfortable position, but you were lying on your back with your head on a soft pillow. You moved your sluggish limbs and forced yourself to sit up with great difficulty.
Your head was dropped to your chest, but you managed to lift it and looked around the room. You were still in Sanzu's bedroom, but it was almost completely bathed in darkness. Only in the corner of the room, right next to the door to his dressing room, there was a lamp lit, giving dim light.
You expected a severe headache, but apart from slow movements, nothing else bothered you. You slid your legs off the bed and your bare feet touched the cool floor. You looked around again for your phone, but it was nowhere to be found. It probably was in the living room...
You stood up carefully and took your first few steps. It wasn't bad, really. Your body began to respond faster to the stimuli sent to your brain and after a while you opened the bedroom door. The living room was also lit in several places by standing lamps, but there was no one in sight.
“Sanzu?” You called out hesitantly, but silence answered you, so you took a few more steps and looked at the clock hanging on the wall.
His hands showed 1:23 past midnight.
“Haruchiyo?” You called out, looking into his small kitchen once again, but there was no sign of the man there either.
You returned to the living room and looked at the cabinet where you always put your house and car keys, but they were nowhere to be found. The pink-haired man's keys were also missing.
You walked closer to the front door and saw that his shoes were missing. He left the apartment. He left you alone.
“What the fuck?” You mumbled and feeling anxious, you searched for your phone, but after twenty minutes you were unable to find it anywhere. This could only mean one thing. Sanzu took it with him.
You went back to the front door and pressed the handle. Closed. Sanzu locked the door and you knew you wouldn't be able to open it without the key.
Jacket... You usually had the spare key to his apartment right there in your jacket, and unless Haru checked it...
You ran back to the bedroom and grabbed the said article of clothing that was slung over the back of the chair and started checking the pockets.
“There it is!” You smiled broadly as you pulled out a key from your inside pocket.
Your smile quickly disappeared when you realized your weapon was missing and you cursed loudly. What was he thinking? And above all, where did he go?
You put on your jacket and went back to the front door, where you put on your shoes and inserted the key into the lock, turning it, and you were ready to leave your would-be prison. You locked the door from the outside and headed for the elevator to get to...
Yes, to get to your car. Genius. You didn't have the key!
You swore again and took the elevator down to the ground floor and into the lobby, where you stopped and bit the inside of your cheek lightly. So where did you want to go? You placed your hands on your hips and lowered your head. Maybe home? You had a spare key hidden under the flowerpot on the porch... You could take the other gun and...
You looked up at your reflection in the door of another elevator. You could have gone to where Emiko was being held and extracted the information you needed from her yourself. You had to make sure your thoughts were correct and that Yuu was Yuji...
Yes. It wasn't a stupid idea. You left the building and walked towards a nearby taxi stand.
As you drove to your address, thoughts flooded your mind again. Where was Sanzu and why did he take your stuff? What happened? One thing was certain, you would settle accounts with him and put the idea of imprisoning you in such a way out of his mind again.
You paid for the ride with the rest of the cash you had in your pants pocket and entered your house without any problems, but as soon as you got to the room where your spare weapon was hidden, it turned out that someone had taken it as well.
“Damn it!” You swore, punching the wall next to the locker door. "Sanzu, you dumb fuck!"
Oh, you'll definitely teach him a lesson this time. He could count on it.
You quickly left the room and went down to the basement, hoping that Hanma hadn't told him where you had another weapons stash.
You moved a cabinet away from the wall, with a few tools lying on it, and entered the code on a small keyboard. The light changed from red to green and you opened the door. You were immediately relieved when you saw your two extra guns and several full magazines full of bullets. You took one and put the holster under your jacket. Now you really wanted to talk to Emiko. You won't let yourself be stopped.
You entered the garage and grimaced slightly seeing that your only options were a bike and... Your face relaxed slightly at the sight of your first baby - the Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja. It didn't quite match the suit right now, but... You shrugged and drove it out of the garage, enjoying the sound of its engine all over again.
You rushed to the address of the warehouse that was etched in your memory, bearing in mind the fact that at such a late hour you might attract the attention of a police patrol. Even though you were focused on the road, you had your eyes peeled, just in case.
The journey didn't take you very long, but as soon as you entered the gates of the warehouse area, you let the machine continue to run at low speeds, trying not to make any noise. You had a strange feeling that you shouldn't draw attention to yourself.
You left your motorcycle behind the crates and listened. Silence. No talking or footsteps. For all you knew, there should have been a few people outside and at least five more inside.
You looked around carefully and saw a black SUV that belonged to the syndicate. Maybe the boys took a short nap break? You didn't blame them.
You stepped closer to see for yourself. You no longer cared whether they reported you to Hanma or Mikey himself. You had the right to show up here and it didn't have to be related to the fact that your ex was in the warehouse. The official version you knew was that the woman was outside of Tokyo.
The closer you got to the car, the more your stomach tightened. Something was wrong, very wrong. You stopped right in front of the driver's side door and without thinking, you pulled out your gun. You held it at ready and pulled the car door handle.
“Fuck…” You whispered as you saw the limp bodies and traces of blood.
You touched one of the men's necks and felt no pulse. The bodies were still warm, which meant they had been killed a few minutes ago. You looked at your hand and saw it was covered in blood. You wiped it on the man's clothes and looked towards the door to the warehouse.
If this was the situation outside, what was inside?
You sneaked to the door of the building and listened, but you didn't hear anything, so you opened the door and slipped inside the warehouse. The first thing you saw were more bodies of men working for Bonten lying in pools of blood.
It was bad, very bad. You walked towards the back rooms where Emiko was supposed to be kept and the closer you got, the more clearly you heard the conversation.
“…you don't understand…” A man said. “Hanma…can't find out.”
"I do not care about it." Another one growled, and you immediately recognized the voice you heard on the recordings from the basement of the Uchiyama house. Daisuke Sugiyama.
“But I care... Take away... disappear.”
You pressed your back against the wall next to the open door to the dimly lit room and listened.
“I'll take the car.” Sugiyama said and the other man cursed.
"Absolutely not. How will I explain this, eh?” The first man protested. “Take the woman away until Hanma shows up and fuck off.”
“Can't you see what condition she's in? She won’t make it to my car.”
“Then fucking carry her!”
The sound of a struggle and the man's quiet groaning. “Don't talk back to me. Don't forget who you work for.”
“Fine... I'll say they stole it... Fuck, let me go.”
The sound of bumping into some furniture or crates and the quiet sobbing of a woman.
“Shhh, baby. It's okay. I'll take you away from here. They won't hurt you anymore.” Sugiyama's tone was sickly tender and you felt bile rising in your throat. He really loved her...
“Move, the fuck.” The first man spoke again. “Look what time it is! Hanma is expected to be here within sixty minutes!”
“Why so early?”
“He's supposed to ask her about the boss. I only know this much.”
“He won't know shit.”
“Get out of here before the guard wakes up…”
“They won't wake up.” Sugiyama said and a female voice spoke.
“Look what they did to me, honey. Look what they did to me..."
“Shhh... They'll pay us for this. My poor thing.”
“What do you mean they won't wake up?” The first man became concerned.
"This." Emiko's husband answered him briefly and there was a gun shot, followed by the sound of a falling body.
Your heart started beating faster with the sudden rush of adrenaline and as the door opened wider, you grabbed the man leaving by the collar of his shirt and threw him against the wall.
Out of the corner of your eye, you saw a small female figure fall to the floor, but you decided to ignore it now and focus on the taller man who, despite the moment of surprise, quickly responded with an accurate punch to your face.
You stepped back and when you aimed the gun at him, he knocked it out of your hand with a strong kick. The gun slid across the floor and as you shielded yourself from Sugiyama's next attacks, you heard a woman scream in frustration.
You looked towards her and saw that she was trying to lift the gun, but due to several of her fingers being missing, she wasn't able to get a good grip on it. She threw the weapon further to the side and jumped to her feet.
“Get in the car!” Sugiyama shouted and his next well-placed punch to your head sent you reeling backwards.
You expected the man to be as strong as Hanma, but you had little hope that his age would slow him down even a little. Oh, how wrong you were...
Somehow you managed to land a few punches, though he blocked most of them without much effort. You kicked him in the side and the man fell into a pile of crates nearby. He grabbed onto one of them and gave you a hateful, icy glare. He smirked and nodded at you.
“Now I see who Yuuta got his beauty from. It became clear why my butterfly hated the little one so much.” He said contemptuously and your blood boiled.
“You'll pay for what you did to him, you son of a bitch!”
“Oh, come on…” He brushed his hair back from his face and laughed. “God, he was such a sweet baby. So obedient and lovely..."
"Shut the fuck up!" You screamed and lunged at him, but just as you were about to grab him by the shirt and punch him in the face again, he pulled out a metal pipe from behind one of the crates and hit you on the head with what seemed like all his strength.
Your ears were ringing and the pain was splitting your head. You fell onto the dirty warehouse floor, completely blind for a moment, and doubled over as you felt a strong kick to your stomach. Immediately afterward, you felt several blows from a metal pipe all over your body and you automatically tried to protect your head with your hands.
“Now you'll die, you bastard! Oh, the boss would like to do it himself, but…” Another series of blows. “He'll have to forgive me... This moment of weakness!”
Somewhere in the distance, you heard another scream from a woman calling for Sugiyama, and a wave of energy washed over you. You grabbed the metal pipe that was getting closer to your body again, yanking it out of the man's hand and throwing it far to the side. With a well-aimed kick, you knocked him off his feet and quickly sat on his chest.
Both of your hands shot to his neck, and you began to tighten your fingers around it. Your breathing was heavy, and you were panting loudly, the metallic taste of your own blood on your tongue as it dripped from your nose. You felt wetness on half of your face, and you wouldn't be surprised if the first hit of the pipe cut the skin on your head.
“Who is your boss?!” You drawled, looking Sugiyama straight in the eyes, where you saw blood vessels starting to burst.
The man's only response was a loud wheeze, so you slammed his head against the floor.
“Who is your boss?!”
"Y...Yu...ji..." The man drawled with difficulty and blood poured from his nose.
Your eyes widened in horror, but you didn't loosen your grip on his throat. Yuji, Yuji...
"Where is he?"
Another wheezing noise from him was drowned out by the roar of the engine and when you raised your head, you saw the headlights of a car speeding towards you.
You cursed loudly and jumped away from the man beneath you at the last moment. There were a few sickly wet cracks, you felt a few drops land on your face, and the front of the car hit the standing crates. You looked with horror and disbelief at the bloody body of a man who was dying before your eyes.
She ran over him! That fucking bitch didn't hesitate to run over him!
You were broken out of your trance by the screech of the car's tires as it reversed rapidly. His rear wheels ran over Daisuke's head and his legs jumped up. Without waiting for anything else, you jumped to your feet and ran away from the front wheels of the car that moved rapidly towards you. Instead of aiming at you, the vehicle crashed into the warehouse gate and with a loud bang, the car drove outside, leaving you alone.
Your poor heart almost beat out of your chest as you fell to your knees to catch your breath. You didn't want to look towards the dead body of the man who hurt your son. You covered your mouth with your hand and, ignoring the fact that Emiko might be waiting for you outside, you ran out of the warehouse and fell to your knees again, vomiting.
Your eyes stung from the exertion of puking and tears flowed from them. Emiko ran over him... She ran over him...
“Y/n?!” You heard someone screaming, but you didn't respond to it.
“Y/n!” Someone rushed up to you and grabbed your arms with such force that you had to grab onto something to keep your balance.
You looked into terrified, wide light eyes, framed by long, thick pink eyelashes, and you knew who you had in front of you...
“Sanzu…” You whispered and saw Hanma standing behind him with a look of complete surprise on his face.
"What are you doing here?!" His eyes widened even more when he saw the state you were in, then he looked towards the warehouse and its ruined gate. “What the fuck happened here?!”
“Sugiyama came for Emiko. She ran away…” You started to explain, your body starting to shake. “One of the guards was a traitor... She escaped!”
Hanma moved towards the SUV and looked inside, then quickly ran to the warehouse.
“You shouldn't be here…” Sanzu pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and started wiping your face with it. “How did you get out of my apartment?”
“She ran over him with one of our cars, Sanzu… She tried to run me over, but she killed Sugiyama…” You tightened your fingers on his forearms and the pink-haired man froze, staring at your face in horror. “She didn't hesitate for a moment…”
“And the fun is over.” Hanma sighed loudly as he walked towards you and out of the corner of your eye you saw him signaling to the people who had come with him and Sanzu. “It needs to be cleaned up and all traces removed. Get to work, boys.”
Sanzu helped you up from the ground, holding your arm tightly as Hanma leaned forward slightly, pursing his lips. “Please, tell me that you at least had the idea to ask them about their boss, Y/n….”
“Hanma…” Sanzu growled warningly, but you nodded.
“Sugiyama confirmed my suspicions.” You swallowed loudly, looking into Shuji's golden eyes. “Yuji L/n is their boss.”

Hey, Brother do you still believe in one another?

If I could turn back time
If I could find a way
And you'd stay
Sachiko shirked loudly—gaining looks of confusion and judgment from the by passing people in the shopping district—dropping her shopping bags to the ground in shock and gasping like a fish, even though they don't need to, for air.
Droving with both hands through her hair, clutching it, Sachiko turned her head in every direction—spinning herself around—and tried to find something, someone—searching for you.
But you are nowhere to be seen, because you're gone. Gone. You're gone.
For Sachiko it felt as time stood still—freezing her in the spot where she was standing—while the surroundings of hers continued to move on as if nothing had happened—as if the crime, which just occurred in front of everyone, didn't caused a notice and disturbance in the daily routine of living flow.
Taking a sharp inhale of breath, Sachiko felt breathless. She only had turned around—some sign had catches her eyes and you were still right beside her—for a mere few seconds and when she turned back, to tell you about that sign—which was local shop—you weren't there.
Is this—the way her chest tightens, so painfully she wanted to cry out, coldness—despite the mildly warm temperatures today—sweeping through her body and bringing her bend into a shudder—how a Panic attack feels like?
Sachiko couldn't tell, wouldn't know, as she never had experienced such and only being a comforter for you—when you had them.
Taking out her phone, cursing loudly when it slipped from her—shaking and clammy—hands and fall down onto the pavement, Sachiko felt—once she had picked up her phone again—lost to whom she has to call.
Sachiko's finger hovered over Shinichi's—old and deactivated—number, wanting to call him—the first person which popped up in her mind instantly—as Shinichi is (or had been) after all your emergency contact.
But that's an impossible thing to do now as Shinichi is gone as well.
Sachiko slapped herself against her forehead more than once, rubbing her face—staying crouched down and inhaling deeply the air, she still felt she didn't quite have, again.
Stupid, stupid, absolutely stupid, Sachiko thought—berating herself for forgetting about the fact that Shinichi is gone, but wanting to call him anyways.
Like, as if the automatic voicemail of; We apologise, but this number is currently not available anymore—would help in such, any, situation and neither would make it Shinichi magically appear back.
»Dumb wishful thinking« she scoffed in a huff, feeling ashamed afterwards for such thoughts and berates herself again, because such wishful thoughts are helping you to pull through hard days—the ones where you want to just lay in bed forever and giving everything and yourself up.
So Sachiko called Heiji, despite him being at a crime scene currently—because honestly, it's like a curse or something, whenever they went somewhere there always seemed to be a murdering happen—but she couldn't care less about this, as the Inspectors and officers are capable enough to solve this on their own, without Heiji's help.
Finding and freeing you—because Sachiko was absolutely sure that Daiki had kidnapped you—and it was a fear she knew would come true eventually—was top priority now and Sachiko knew that Heiji was the only person who would be able to save you.

There weren't many moments in times, where Conan thought he had failed. Nor had he many regrets to think about.
But when Heiji told how Sachiko had called and telling him in upcoming panic—sounding close to crying, holding back choking sobs—you're gone, disappeared so suddenly in board daylight—under eyes of many "witnesses"—and that she, in absolutely certainty, believes Daiki had taken you—Conan felt like a failure.
Failure. Conan had failed miserably as your older brother, who promised you—once ago, during your first suicidal attempt—to never leave you alone and behind in your darkest times of need—and to always protect you from the dangers and evil of this world.
But look! Here is he, failing not only once but twice—trice even, when he couldn't save Narumi—and breaking promises after another, building a path of hurtful lies for you to walk on. Honestly, you deserve someone far better than him as your brother.
It was foolish to think, that they might be able to call you, but even the simplest thing to do—in cases like these, calling you even though the chance stood high that your phone had been already destroyed—could might lead to an better outcome of the situation.
When it ringed and someone picked up the line, they hoped it was you—but when Daiki's voice rung out, the hope extinguished.
„Oh, it's the brat calling. C'mon dear, tell them Goodbye.“
„Fuck off, Asshole.“
A clash, a thud and a short gaps from you—and the line went dead afterwards.
»What now? Osaka is big and we can't search through the whole city and its landscape, without a sort of fixpoint to begin with.....« said Heiji, gnawing at his lower lip and looking at Conan.
The bubble of panic didn't came spiking up in one sudden rush—like how Sachiko must had experienced it firsthand now—and neither did it came slow rising—how for Conan it was, whose eyes shone with ridden guilt and although masking it professionally like a actor, starting to crack under its slowing crawling pressure—for Heiji.
Of course Heiji is worried about you, he always will be—after all you're his boyfriend and worrying about ones partner and the ones you love is a natural feeling to do—but Heiji is also a Detective and haywire emotions wouldn't help in any situation nor does it any good.
Conan knows this as well—is the one who believes, participate, the most in this sort of mindset—but sometimes a once rational, logical, mind and heart can make a spin into the irrational side of the humane
There was also the crucial fact—which is the reason why Heiji doesn't feel the heart aching panic just yet—that everyone seemed to forget that you weren't just a mere helpless person.
You could defend yourself with ease, were cable of fighting—with your strength of Qing Mado—against Adults and opponents twice your age and size.
But Heiji himself seems to forget—while knowing of the information above—that there a tools out there which could make you helpless and unable to defend.
»My Radar Glasses!« exclaimed Conan
»Huh? When did ya chip [Name]?«
»Not him, but his phone-keychain«
Conan was getting restless he's aware, knowing well that his idea might be just a glimpse into the blue of nothing, but what else are they supposed to do?
They had to give it a try, even when it would lead into a dead end. Just sitting around and waiting wouldn't do anything, wasn't going to help you!
Conan couldn't give up, especially not on you—his precious little brother, who he vowed to protect.
~~~
Whatever was on their side—be it luck, fate or destiny, fortunas generosity or simply Daiki's own dumbness—they hoped it's gonna last till you are found.
When the glasses did indeed pick up a low signal of yours, Conan and Heiji went to the location as fast as possible.
Once there, in an alley—near the outskirts area, with soon to build houses and buildings and the ones getting destroyed—all they had found was your phone—still in tact, but useless now. Then again, this alone could lead to you—as it minimise the area, distance and possibility of where you could be.
Conan wouldn't give up and he hoped neither would you.
I'll keep finding, finding you
Right through hell and heaven
And in all dimensions
I'll keep finding, finding you
OMG I loved the hange one u wrote Tysm for that your writing is so pretty can I have a a similar one but with a house pet reader and Sachiko Juraku -🐢
Omfg!!! Yessss!!! Also so happy to see you twice today 🐢!(A reminder to everyone, dont repost or reblog without redit!)
Tumblr media
Dating Sachiko Juraku as a Housepet
Tumblr media
Oh you poor thing. How the hell did you get yourself in this situation??
You gambled yourself into this predicament, you thought you were good enough to fight a big dog.
How wrong you were
Sachiko Juraku, she saw you first when a bunch of guys were getting a bit too touchy. She watched for a few minutes before intervening.
"Why, hello there boys, if you dont mind, I'll be taking this pretty thing with me!"
She'll take you to a private, and unused classroom and look at you for a bit. She's never been this interested in someone before.
You became her little enigma. She stared at you some more, keeping her tight grip she pulled you closer. It was official. In her mind at least.
You became her new toy(soon to be girlfriend).
She started taking you with her everywhere. When she gambled, when she was doing council work, she's even taken you home.
Now, of course when you two officially start dating she acts differently. She treats you with more respect, and is nicer.
Don't forget your place though. She could have gotten rid of your debt, but she hasn't and she wont.
Why? You might ask. Well it's simple.
If you were to ever decide you didn't want the relationship, she could easily hold your debt over you. Use it.
She'll make a life plan for you to put it plainly.
She knows it wrong but she doesn't care. You're hers and she intends to keep it that way.
It doesn't really matter if you're a house pet or not, but she's protective as hell. As well as possessive. She owns you.
Mind. Body. Soul.
All of it, it's all hers, all of you is hers. She just loves you so damn much.
She definitely spoils you, 100% a sugar mommy once you two have an established relationship.
You want it? She's got it. You two are out on a lavish date and you see a pretty necklace, or a cute dress, maybe some nice shoes. Just say the word and it's yours. All of it.
Sachiko hates it when you have to leave. Wether it's for class or something else. It doesn't matter. She needs you by her side and she hates seeing you go.
Very touchy, she sees you as her property(especially when you're a house pet). She needs everyone to know you've been claimed.
She buys you a set of bracelets that have her first and last name on them. If her little pet gets lost she can always find you.(the cuffs have a tracking device in them)
If you didn't like her at first, it doesn't matter. You'll learn to love her(she kinda a yandere in general) you have to. She loves you and expects love, affection, and adoration.
She of course gives you all these things. In her own way.
When you two fight she usually waits it out. Even if she knows it's her fault she wont admit it. She'll wait for you to come crawling back.
After all without her protection who is going to save you from all the big, bad, mean men in the school. She might even order a few to bug you.
That's all she'll tell them to do though. Just bug you, if they dare do more...she'll kill them.
When you come crawling back she apologizes, in her own way. She buys you whatever you want. She usually does this but for about the next two to three weeks after your fight she's buying you things more than usual.
She'll even just give you straight cash if you want. You've learned this is her way of apologizing without having to be verbal.
You're her pet and even if you two fight she knows(as do you) you'll come back.
NSFW UNDER THE CUT
Tumblr media
Oh... oh no. Just no. You are going to be in so much pain. I feel so bad for you, she's going to fuck you til you're raw.
Rough dom, she's hard, fast, and makes sure it hurts. She loves seeing you cry in pain, it brings her more pleasure than you'll ever know.
She'll bend you over any surface if she's horny enough. Her desk, a random surface in her house, a desk in an unused classroom. Anywhere.
Kinkyiest bitch you'll ever meet. She loves the strap specifically. She loves having you warm it, suck it, honestly she just loves destroying any hole she can get to.
Some days she's feeling more feral, she wants you raw. No toys, no lube, fucking nothing. She wants to naked with your legs spread out, ready for her and her alone.
Other days she feels the need to fuck you til you pass out. Those are the days when student council business isn't going as well as it should be.
She makes it hurt, she's quite the sadist after all.
She has a few special collars with different things ingrained in them. One says Mistresses Slut in a beautiful font. Another says GOOD GIRL in bold, glittery pink letters.
She even has one that says Property of Sachiko Juraku(theres a little tag that says how to return you to her) she loves the idea that her little pet is also her pet in the bedroom.
You want her? Beg, you dumb bitch. That's all you are, a dumb little bitch. You're useless for anything that doesn't involve getting your brains fucked out.
You need her, dont you? You need her strap, her fingers, ever her shoes to rut against like the slut you are.
Sachiko loves propping you up in front of the mirror, making you watch as she sluts you out. Making you watch as she turns that pretty brain of yours into rot.
That's all it needs to be anyway. Rot. It's not like you actually need your brain. You're her dumb bitch, her beautiful little pet that sits so prettily on her lap.
You know it, she knows it too. All you have to do is beg and she'll turn you into the good pet she knows you can be.
Shes just so rough with you and sometimes you need her to be gentle! You need slow and gentle!
She can and will provide that. Grant it you will make it up to her later.
She'll take you nice and slow with her strap, making sure it's deep. She start with slow thrusts getting faster,(and a bit rougher) but never getting past a certain point.
She spreads you out and talks you through it. These are one of your few real intimate moments. She wont do this until you're her official partner. Heavens no! She wouldn't be caught dead treating a house pet like this...
Unless you're her house pet! When you start officially dating and you work up the courage to ask her about this, she's more than willing.
Now as for aftercare, when you're just her house pet it was short and sweet. She cleaned you up a bit with a few reassuring words and then kicked you out.
It hurt, but when you start dating it's a whole new story.
She's so sweet, she cleans you up, gets you food, and turns on television for you.
You started keeping extra clothes in her office and her house in case it was too much and you needed to stay longer than intended.
She loves you, even if she don't act it, you're hers. Her plaything, her slut, her pet, her lover, her beautiful little thing. You're hers and that is something that throughout your entire relationship she will remind you of.
A second look and later look at the second story mod
So. Now after some time has past, seince we seen the second story mod. I think more of us started to see more of it's flaws. I started viewing it defenetly seince then. Now this is a sort of second look at it, after seeing what other people writing, about it, it actually helped me a lot to put the things into words.
I start with the few positivs.
I like the fect that they tryd to show off more character. We will talk about the execution of it later. Some comadic screens legitemitly made me laugh. MC. I personaly found him intresting, and I liked him for the most part, even though I will write a section about him. MC and Sachiko's friendship was nice, even if it can feel rushed at places. There were some good moment, that I still like, and remember.
Spoiler warning! And long post.
Now. Let's talk about the rest.
The characterisation of the characters.
It's rather mixed in my openion. I will leave the elephants in the room out of this section. We will get to it. Raven was rather nice actually. She had little screan time, but it was still good. The screan before the boom sets off is good, and if you don't really know anything about the devs, you can think that she got killed. We know Lilith Games would't dear to kill off a character who is used in promotionals often.
I liked Trevor here, he was legitemitly funny.
Trkiki, Xuan Pin, and Xiaon Yin were also there. I'm saying this like this, because they were fearly stayd on character, whaile also having less of a screan time. So really nothing to say here from my part. I will not mention the cameos.
Freddy, Leon, and Anesidora present here was welcomed from my part. I liked them.
Abigail, and Alexa, were out of character, especially Abigail. I think it could have been better if Abigail did not give them the snow war mobile thing so soon. It was too soon in my openion. And I would't really involve her with the final. It could have been better if she stayd natural. Or at least they could have made getting her apruval a chalenge in the story.
And Yamato. I think we know the problem. I like the fect that he disgaused himself as Leon, but it just feels as if they noticed how popular he is, and put him in there in order to get a positiv reaction from the players. This was pointed out before me, so I'm not the first one who thinks this. I'm not ageinst Yamato being in there, but it's done not the best way.
And to close this segment, let's talk about the character who was introduced to us in this story. Sachiko. She is nice, she has a cute design, and a few cute moments. Nothing really. I don't blame the people who don't really care about her.
2. Gaius, Hyde, aka why don't you use your already established villians Lilith Games you cowerd?
Yeah. Let's talk about that elephant in the room. The fect that the game doas not uses the already established villians, and forget about some. This was pointed out before me.
And we all know the problem with the Gaius twist.
If they did a better job, the twist still would have been bag, but not this bad. They could have made a comperison, between them. They could have had a monolog where the two try to reason with the other by talking about Hannah, and her death. Gaius tryind to live up to her memory, to be the person she can be proud off, whaile Hyde tryind to manipulet him, buy using Hannah, in a "She would want you to be more powerfull", "This could bennifit this works, Hannah would agree with this!". This are just my ideas, so they might be bad, or cringe, or clishe, but it still doas sound better then what we got.
3. So I gues this game is an isekai now.
So I don't really feel really positiv, about the isekai stuff here. I think there could have been better execution, then him coming from an another world posably sent by truck-kun. We don't even find out about what his life was like in the other world. Which could have been be able to make the end of the story, of him deciding to work in the Esper Union more emotionaly, affter all MC is basicly giving up an entire life.
And let's not forget that, they could have made ways to write it with the isekai thing. I will say a few ideas that come to my mind.
Him coming from a small isoleted community, whit little to no conection to the outside world, and fearing it, because the community is made up of people who were experuented on, and meneged to escape from the labs. He lives there until one day they get attacked by eather miramon, or the Shadow Decree, or someone else. And eather MC being the only survivor who is now forced to leave what he called home, and face the thing he fears the outside world. Or the other survivors from the attack having been kidnaped, so now he is forced to go to the outside world to find them.
For this next idea, I would like to put out, that abuse, manipuletion, and gaslighting from a parent is mentiond.
Like he could have been a test subject, a lab rat, from a lab similar to the one Farrah was in, which would explain the reason why he is half human half miramon. If they want this could be a reason to not wanting to work with the Esper Union, with a "They didn't helped me, so why should I work with them", then with the help of Sachiko, and maybe even Gaius if it's a good idea to give him more screan time, slowly starts changing MC's openion. Or he was experiented on growing up, in the Shadow Decree by Hyde. Which could open up the option of him being Hyde's son. Eather blood releted, but I think him being a "adopted son" could be a better option. Eather by adopting him from an orphanige, kidnaping him from eather his family, or combining the two, him being kidnaped from the streets as an orphan. Hyde doing experimences on him, and being a gaslighting, manipuleting him. MC meneging to escape from him, and not trusting at first in the Esper Union, but in the story he slowly starts to trust develop an adoptive sibling realetionship with Sachiko, and an adoptiv father son realetionship with Gaius, aka finding an actually loving family. And in the end MC would stend up ageinst Hyde.
Are thise ideas posably bad, cringy, or edgy? Yes, but I think those are still more intresting. Are they recvaird to add to the already existing lore, or redcon and rewrite elements of it? Also a yes, especially in the last exemple.
And now, the end. If anyone read this through I'm sorry for waisting your time. I might do a rewrite or something (I originaly wanted to do a rewrite about Cellblock Chaos, but never actually ended up doing it). I know that the last I know it's darker, but Dislyte is not strangers to being darker, as we seen in Farrah's event, and in Hilda's event.
Thank you for reading it.
初恋のにおい
How will it end? Sachiko sipped her ice-cold juice, savoring the cool air from the car's AC. The pink peach flavor tasted like summer and love. Her mom was across the street buying cigarettes, ready to dash off to her next date. Dad's party raged on halfway around the world, never-ending.
A 7 PM flight, a 4 PM pause. Miura sat beside her, holding hands in the car, watching the sunset paint the sky. It was almost time to say goodbye - her fleeting youth and the boy who knew every secret of it...
The boy turned to look at her, his eyes clear and bright, a hint of sadness on his still boyish face. Like the little mermaid who couldn't speak, he didn't want to let go of her hand. Instead, he mouthed the words slowly: "僕のことを忘れないでね(Don't forget me)…"
"Cut!"
The set burst into noise. Crew members pushed equipment back and forth while the director and writer whispered instructions behind the camera.
Ran quickly tore her gaze away from the boy's pink tongue. Darn it—she'd forgotten she was supposed to kiss him mid-"sentence". This first kiss was the movie's big scene, with a rare on-location shoot: the harbor, sunset, shadowy car windows, and a girl's unspoken feelings. Too bad they messed up the first take. Dejected, she pushed the door open and got out, allowing her assistant to shove the marked-up script into her arms.
"Read it over and try to nail it next time," the director urged.
Or maybe it was, "It's Ran-chan's first on-screen kiss. Don't put too much pressure on the kid," from the actress playing her mom.
Or even, "Come take a break! I brought bubble tea," from Aunt Yukiko who'd stopped by to visit.
In the end, it was Shinichi, getting out from the other side, who came around and led the embarrassed Ran to Yukiko. The famous actress effortlessly flashed a dazzling smile, offering bubble tea to every crew member who passed by calling her "Fujiyama" or "Yukiko".
Time was ticking, and clear days were rare. In this mother-daughter parallel love story, while things weren't going smoothly on Ran's end, the cigarette-buying mom was already becoming the focus in front of the camera.
Another bubble tea was pushed into her hands as the bustling crew moved across the street. They were left leaning against the hot railings of the harbor bridge, watching Yukiko freely mingle on set. Ran awkwardly swirled her cold bubble tea, her stomach too full of juice to fit another 500cc. She passed it to Shinichi, watching him gulp it down and stumble from the heat.
During this summer break of her third year in middle school, she'd landed this role. It all started when a visiting director spotted her at the Kudo house and asked her to cameo. Now it was her first movie as a main character. Finish shooting quickly, then off to New York with Shinichi - the perfect plan, but...
"It's all Shinichi's fault," she grumbled, setting aside her prop juice. "Why did you have to play Miura?"
Shinichi tugged at his sweat-soaked collar. Before the car kiss scene, there was what he called an "awkward" drama-style chase scene: An anxious boy, unable to call out, his words trapped inside, running with all his might. Only Sachiko's chance glance in the rearview mirror, their eyes meeting, gave him this last moment with his first love.
"Didn't you say you wanted to wrap this up quickly so we could go to New York?" he asked.
"Well, yes, but... kissing you is just too weird!"
Ran covered her face, feeling somewhat flustered. When she first read the script with intimate scenes, she thought it was no big deal. It was just a pure, lips-touching kiss. When the crew couldn't find a suitable male actor, she could still laugh off Sonoko's wild guesses. But when Yukiko whispered that "the director thinks Shin-chan would be perfect," and Sonoko's expression went from shocked to knowing, Ran's instincts tingled. A very, very strange feeling... What was it? Too many hand-holding scenes, too many gazing into each other's eyes. Her heart was a mess.
"Kissing a stranger would be weirder," Shinichi said confidently.
Could that be true? Ran hesitantly recalled how distracted she'd been during filming. Every detail magnified - Shinichi's face, his expression as he seriously mouthed "Don't forget me." It was as if... that's what Shinichi really wanted to say to Ran.
It must be the heat.
The unbearable warmth from head to toe, her young heart beating vigorously, the blush on her cheeks in the makeup mirror - it was definitely because of the heat. Damn summer.
Shinichi sipped his bubble tea, seemingly relaxed, staring absent-mindedly at Ran's face in the mirror. Sachiko was a girl who grew up by the sea, with wind-tousled hair and sun-kissed skin. To fit the character, he'd dutifully suffered with Ran under the seaside sun for two weeks. He ended up matching the script's description of Miura, but Ran's skin remained fair as ever. Illogical. The makeup artist, finding a moment to touch up, applied foundation and surveyed her blusher for a while. In the end, she just wiped the sweat off Ran's forehead and giggled, "Looks like we won't need this," making the girl in the mirror blush even deeper. Hmm... Shinichi raised an eyebrow, feeling pleased. Logical.
He just wondered if this girl understood why he'd snatched the role of Miura.
They sat back in the car parked by the harbor bridge, waiting for the cameras to turn their way. In the script, Sachiko's mom got a call from her husband while buying cigarettes, leading to an argument. Crying, she bumped into her first love on his day off, whose sailboat was named after the flowers blooming when they first met. The adults' complicated entanglements didn't affect the pure yet ambiguous love of the young ones, but Sachiko would experience separations and reunions with her first love as she drifted with her mother.
"So why doesn't Miura confess to Sachiko at this point?" Ran asked, flipping through the script.
Shinichi leaned in close, almost touching heads as they shared the script. "Maybe he's not sure if he can make Sachiko happy?"
Ran turned to him, surprised. "Just because of that? But they've already kissed."
Shinichi pretended to think hard for a while, then said, "I think Miura's a bit insecure. He can't speak, so facing the healthy, bright Sachiko, he wants to leave her more options..." As Ran gave him a slightly shocked "since when are you so insightful" look, he grinned confidently. "If it were me, I wouldn't let the person I like get away so easily."
The sunset outlined his long eyelashes. The boy's soft features were sharpening as he grew, his jawline becoming more defined in the slanting sunlight - that tricky adolescence bridging boy and man. Ran's gaze lingered on him intently. Just as he was about to show a smug expression, she looked back down at the script. "Easily? But Miura chased the car for ages."
Ah—if chasing a girl you like was as simple as running, what challenge would any distance pose?
Shinichi Kudo turned away in frustration, taking another swig of bubble tea, missing Ran's hidden smile as she looked down.
In the distance, the director called for Take 2. The bubble tea was whisked away, replaced by the chilled juice in Ran's hand. Yukiko watched excitedly from beside the camera. The young couple in the car exchanged a glance, then looked away in unison.
Ran gazed at the sunset outside—perfect timing. The sparkling waves matched the overture of youthful love, a wavering, flowing mood ideal for Sachiko and Miura's first kiss. She clenched her fist, determined. Shinichi turned to catch Yukiko winking and giving him a "go for it" gesture. He blushed, remembering how he'd pleaded with his mom for a chance to audition, acting childish after so long.
In this blushing atmosphere, the second take began.
Sipping the chilled juice... A breezy summer evening, not too hot in the air-conditioned car. So Sachiko must be nervous, right? Ran's fingers twitched slightly, her heart racing in sympathy with Sachiko, feeling both happy and bittersweet. The warmth of their hands was undeniable, the person beside her had a vivid presence even in silence. Their last journey together, right after that crazy romantic chase—why the silence? Sachiko couldn't know they'd end up together, so was this first kiss her secret farewell? A bitter kiss, then?
The boy turned to look at her. In the car window, she saw the beautiful sunset and those equally beautiful, sad eyes...
"僕のことを忘れないでね(Don't forget me)..."
This time, she reacted as the script described, leaning in to silence him with a kiss as his lips were still forming the words.
Soft, sweet, tasting of bubble tea.
Wait, that wet, slippery feeling... was it his tongue? Of course, even if the script said just lips touching, kissing suddenly while someone's talking meant tongues would meet. She never knew lips could be so sensitive - this was way more than she'd imagined. Ran's pupils dilated, frozen in place. Her thoughts turned to mush, emotions completely mixed up. It wasn't the bitterness she was supposed to express, but... oh no, she was breaking character.
Oddly enough, they hadn't closed their eyes while kissing. She could see Shinichi's deep blue eyes and her own panic reflected in them. The girl's face flushed like the sunset, her eyes pleading. Thankfully, years of understanding between childhood friends let Shinichi catch her SOS. He covered her eyes with his hand, shielding them from the camera.
Almost out of breath, their lips parted briefly. Her heart raced chaotically. The cameras and crew outside seemed to vanish, leaving them to elope to the ends of the earth. As she gasped for air, he instinctively, recklessly kissed her again.
A second kiss, not in the script.
Then Shinichi felt wetness between his fingers.
Oh no, he'd gone too far. Shinichi pulled back his hand as if burned, waving it awkwardly before wiping away Ran's tears. "I'm sorry, don't cry..." his voice soft and husky. Ran seemed startled by her own tears, letting Shinichi's hand roam her face.
"Cut!"
The lead actress was hurriedly escorted off, meeting tissues for her tears. The makeup artist examined her face, leaving her reddened eyes uncovered. The male actor looked dejected, sneaking glances at his co-star, clearly worried about something.
The director approached, his scrutinizing gaze sweeping over Shinichi and Ran before breaking into a smile, cutting off Ran's attempt to apologize. "That was great this time - I was worried you'd play it too sad. It's Sachiko and Miura's first kiss after all. First kisses are mostly impulse and mutual attraction, not meant to be too rational."
The phrase "mutual attraction" left Shinichi dazed and Ran almost burying her face in the script.
The sun was setting perfectly, golden scales of light dividing the sky into shades of color, their blushing faces nearly melting into the sunset. The director discussed making the little mermaid's lines silent in post-production, but keeping the spontaneous second kiss as Miura's excited response to being kissed by his secret crush was a worthy highlight. Shinichi and Ran leaned against the hot bridge railing again, one staring at the ground, the other gazing at the sky, both hesitant to speak first. Yukiko had disappeared somewhere, and the crew tactfully discussed upcoming scenes, giving them ample space.
"Shinichi, you went too far," Ran finally said, pouting.
"I'm sorry," Shinichi apologized sincerely. He'd just realized Ran's tears might not have meant rejection, but he couldn't tell if the girl was embarrassed or annoyed. Better to apologize first.
"Geez," Ran turned away, smiling. "I just thought, first kisses are a bit..." She turned back seriously, "I mean on-screen first kisses. Kissing you is just too weird."
Ah... Shinichi thought. He finally understood everything that had happened and was yet to happen. It didn't matter if he couldn't always guess his crush's thoughts because someone always smuggled him the answers. He cleared his throat and, under the sunset, gave his first direct response: "I promise I'll do better next time... When we get to New York, can we still ride in the same car?"
This was the summer of their fifteenth year, an ambiguous age where questions and guesses intertwined. So Ran blushed and replied noncommittally, "I'll give you my answer when Sachiko tells Miura hers."
What would the ending be?
Perhaps the journey waiting for that ending was what mattered most. The sea breeze felt so nice. Shinichi smiled, cherishing the certainty amidst all the possibilities, looking forward as never before: Wait a little longer, be patient, until they go to New York together. Then, under the sunset—that "first kiss" would need careful planning. But no matter what happened, he was certain of one thing: as long as he was with Ran, everything would be perfect.
FIN.
Indian Chicken Curry.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Toushoumen Mara, Toushoumen are noodles originating from China's Shanxi province. At that time, because the King of Mongolia was afraid of the Chinese people's rebellion during the Han dynasty, He hid his weapons and even confiscated all the knives in every house. Because of this, people make noodles by using thin steel plates to cut dough made from wheat. That's when Toushoumen began to be created. I got this information thanks to helping Mishuran sensei find the material.
omg wait do u have more thoughts on light having did cos i would love to hear abt it 🙏 the only time i ever see system light headcanons is in a really ableist way so i would love to hear ur perspective. sorry if this is a weird ask lol
no, it’s fine! ty for enabling me. anyways my thoughts are under the cut.
EXHIBIT A: CONFINEMENT
okay so anyone who’s even remotely into death note knows that light gets amnesia in the yotsuba arc. albeit, self inflicted, but still amnesia. while this instance of amnesia was supernatural and not caused by did, there are other aspects to his behavior that should be addressed. i want to point out his drastic changes in personality after giving up his memories. and no, these have nothing to do with the notebook.
as an example of this, let’s look at chapter 35, when light first loses his memory.
Tumblr media
obviously, the many theories of light having an “evil kira alter” are false and extremely ableist. however, that doesn’t mean that another alter couldn’t have switched in at this moment.
take note of light’s thoughts after giving up the notebook. he thinks, “what am i doing here?” which i think was odd wording. after all, he knows why he’s there. he volunteered to be confined under suspicion of being kira. we know that he didn’t lose his memories of this because he constantly refers back to this action within the yotsuba arc. in fact, he references it again in the next panel.
Tumblr media
the wording of, “what am i doing here?” rather than something such as, “why did i put myself here?” suggests that either multiple alters were co-conscious, or that a rapid switch took place as his memories were being rearranged.
although, this is not the only inconsistency within light’s wording. let’s look at the next few panels.
Tumblr media
L responds to him and repeats light’s request for confinement accurately. instead of saying that he asked for confinement, light has to process his memories for a moment before agreeing with him. as a system myself, this is something i do constantly. it’s common for alters who suffer from blackout amnesia to have to think about when and why they could have said something that they don’t remember.
it’s also common for (usually undiscovered) systems to refute those claims with something like “something must have been wrong with me,” or “i would never say that,” like light did. again, i’m projecting, but the inconsistencies are obvious.
let’s go down the page again.
Tumblr media
again, his demeanor shifts and he forgets why he’s in a cell. keep in mind that just a few minutes ago, he admitted that he asked for confinement himself. he knows why this is happening. his brain just won’t let him admit it.
EXHIBIT B: MASKING/FAMILY INTERACTIONS
i’m gonna be jumping around a bit throughout this section, so bear with me.
if there’s anyone who’s known light for a long time, it’s his family. and by extension, light knows them well too. they know light’s habits and light knows theirs. he tries to appear “normal” in his family’s eyes, but there are times when visible amnesia slips though the cracks.
let’s start in chapter 3.
Tumblr media
light’s usual plan relies on him being a perfect son/brother to his family. he helps sayu with her homework, he wants to join his father in the police force, and he cares deeply for his mother.
now, in what world would light have to say that he’ll be cleaning his room, so he doesn’t want his mom to come in? we know that he starts locking his door after he obtains the death note, so why would he have to say this? especially when sachiko herself says that she hasn’t cleaned his room in years.
this may seem like a stretch, but this is likely either an alter that hasn’t fronted in years, or a simple lapse in memory caused by amnesia barriers. but it’s obvious that this interaction, and the others like it, are out of character for the light we know.
next, i’d like to compare and contrast two pages. one from chapter 3, and the other from chapter 9.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
both of these statements from light are extremely contradictory. in chapter 3, light states that if he messes up, his only option would be to kill his family in order to remain active as kira. while in chapter 9, light says that if anything happens to his family, he would see to it that kira was executed. or rather, that he would cease activity or turn himself in.
one factor in his differing behavior is who he’s speaking to. in chapter 3, he speaks with ryuk and in chapter 9, he speaks with his family. obviously he’s more candid with ryuk, but ryuk himself states that light has a “soft spot” for his family and could never directly hurt them.
these pages show two different thought processes that light uses throughout the series. one that needs to protect the body at all costs through whatever means necessary, and one that prioritizes the lives of loved ones instead.
i could go deeper into this, but i don’t feel like it. i hope you enjoyed your essay 🫶🏻
At first sight Chapter Thirty-Six
(m!reader x Bonten!Haruchiyo Sanzu)
Fluff/slash/reader is male/cursing/BontenTimeline/drugs and alcohol mentioned/violence/blood/death
All characters that appeared in the Tokyo Revengers manga and anime belong to Ken Wakui.
Words: 3697
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You stared at the photo you held in both hands. It was the ID photo of a young man who was looking at you with piercing, cold eyes the color of storm clouds, which were both so similar and completely different from your father's eyes that it was hard for you to understand how you had managed to erase it from your memory for so many years.
The photo itself was old. As your uncle, Tsuyoshi, had explained to you, it had been taken before your sister was found dead, and the longer you stared at the man's features, the more you began to feel uneasy.
All sorts of thoughts were swirling in your head, and somewhere in the back of your mind there was an unpleasant pressure, as if someone was pushing with all their might against a closed door. As if your memories were trying to jump into their old places in your memory.
Despite the passing years and his stay in a psychiatric hospital, you hoped that Yuji L/n hadn't changed much and now, thanks to the detective's help, you would be able to recognize him in the crowds of people that rolled through the busiest places in Tokyo every day.
"So..." A man in his sixties spoke in a calm tone, sitting on a small sofa in your small office in the cafe, enjoying the coffee that one of your employees brought him. "Do you really think that my brother's firstborn son is responsible for Haruka Uchiyama's death?"
"And who else comes to mind?" You replied in an equally calm tone, not taking your eyes off the photo. "I don't know what exactly you managed to find out in this whole mess, but I don't think you suspect anyone else."
“They let me see the photos from where the body was found.” The man sighed and scratched his head. “There were the same marks on Emiko’s neck as Sachiko’s. She didn’t hang herself, that’s a hundred percent certain. He strangled her first, and only then pulled her onto a tree branch. Even her shoes were lying in a very similar way to your mother’s.”
At these words, you raised your gaze to the man to take a closer look. His face, marked here and there with wrinkles, had a serious expression, as did his eyes.
“It’s a shame they won’t be able to connect her to Daisuke Sugiyama’s death.” You spoke up after a moment. “The car she fled in was found, but there was no sign that she used it. There were only traces of blood left outside. It definitely belongs to her husband.”
“I didn’t know anything about the car.”
“Because it was in a different place than her body.”
“So, he moved then.” Tsuyoshi leaned forward and clasped his hands to his mouth, pondering the new information. “Where did this take place?”
“At Sumida in Arakawa.”
“Near Edogawa.” Your uncle muttered. “We need to check for any missing persons or unexplained deaths from that district.”
“You’re not suggesting that…” You began, concerned, as the man’s words began to confirm your earlier suspicions.
“That’s not out of the question. Yuji was not only targeting your mother, but her family as well.” He interrupted you, his eyes once again landing on you. “He’s never had the chance to hurt them in any way. That is, of course, until he murdered Sachiko. He could have gotten it into his head that the best way to honor his own mother’s memory would be to get rid of all the members of the Okabe family.”
“But some of them lived here, not just in Edogawa...”
“Yes. Please don't forget that despite several migrations, your mother's family's hometown is Edogawa.”
“That's sick.” You shook your head, feeling anger rising inside you. “Are you telling me that if we don't stop Yuji, he'll hunt down all people in any way related to the Okabe family?”
“Let's hope only those related by blood.” You gave him a warning look, which he didn't care about at all. “You have to remember, boy, that Yuji is not a sane man. His mind is completely twisted, and he lives by his obsession. He won't rest until he destroys you all.”
“I'm L/n, not Okabe.”
“But you don't look like L/n.” The corners of his mouth lifted slightly, and the man spread his hands. “You can see for yourself that what's in my nephew's head, and your half-brother's, is completely devoid of logic. Sometimes I wonder if he'd want to hurt Yuuta...”
“I don't want to find out.”
“Me neither. Believe me, Y/n, me neither.”
“Do you have any ideas where he might have his hideout?” You asked, hoping for some clue, but the man shook his head.
“I thought about Setagaya at first, but with his movements over the past few hours, we can’t be sure anymore.”
You let out a resigned sigh and leaned back in your chair, looking up at the ceiling. “What a pain in the ass.”
Tsuyoshi laughed softly, and you heard him raise his cup again.
“Yes, you could put it that way. You won’t find him unless he wants to.”
“That’s what I’m afraid of. He’s got a lot of time and nothing to lose.”
“Hmm...”
You looked at the man, whose searching eyes were moving around the room with interest.
"I hope my girls don't feed Yuuta only sugar." You threw it loosely, changing the subject to occupy your thoughts with something else for a moment.
"My hope is even greater. God, I haven't seen a child's eyes shine like that at the sight of sweets in a long time." The other smiled. "Such a choice, his hands were clenching into fists. His brain must have been working at full speed when he had to choose anything."
“The pleasure is all mine.” You joked and the man shook his finger at you playfully.
“I'll send you the bills for the repairs for the damage he'll do when he's bursting with energy.”
“I'll take full responsibility for it.” You replied with a smile, taking the photo of your stepbrother in your hand again. Your face became serious, although in addition to helplessness and anger, you felt a certain amount of sadness. “You know, uncle... I don't really remember him.”
“Yuji?”
“Yes. I don't understand why. I talked to my friend and she thought I preferred to forget about him because of the harm he did to Mai. I felt the same way about my father, although I remember him perfectly.”
“Hmm.” The detective thought for a moment. “As for my nephew, I can agree. As for your memories of your father, I have to deny it.”
You looked at him expectantly, not understanding what he meant at all.
“Kenzou was always there for you when events important to you happened.”
“Not at all...”
“First day of kindergarten, first day of school... School plays, talent shows...” The man listed and you slowly started shaking your head. “Don't deny it. He was always around and never missed a single day. He was proud of you when you got the best score in target shooting at the festival. The stall owner said you were too small, but your father insisted and you were finally allowed to play.”
You remembered that, but it always seemed to you that it was your mother's doing, not your father's. You bit the inside of your cheek gently when you remembered that you gave the teddy bear you won that day to Tomoko. She was angry and sad because her schoolmate, despite accepting her invitation to go to the festival together, ended up going with someone else, completely ignoring your sister.
“When I was in a gang…”
“When were you?” You pursed your lips at the sarcasm. “Please, continue, Y/n.”
“So, when I was in the gang... In the first one, in the second one... In Valhalla. I know that the police dispersed our group several times. I know there were investigations, and a few went to juvenile detention. My friends knew who I was, but officers never knocked on our door to question me… Was my father behind this or were you?”
“Did he ever talk to you about it?”
“After your attempted intervention, no.”
“You mean, after the attempted intervention that he banned me from coming to your house for?” He asked calmly and you winced.
“Yeah... After that. Sorry about that.”
“It doesn’t matter. It was hard for him, that’s true, but he understood your rebellion, even though it hurt him a lot.”
“One of his sons went crazy, the other one was a failure. His only joy was his daughters...”
“Yeah, hmm. One worked illegally as an escort instead of studying, and his only support was the other one, who wasn’t even his. His children were great.” Tsuyoshi’s tone was dripping with sarcasm so much that you instantly felt stupid.
“But Tomoko studied...” You smiled uncertainly and your uncle gave you a cold look.
“I guess not necessarily what she actually should have, because she abandoned any education at the age of 18.”
“What?” Your eyes widened in shock. “I had no idea...”
“You didn't go to college either.”
“But I had a legal job.” You shrugged slightly. “I didn't know what I wanted to do after leaving the gang, so I didn't plan on going to college. I had something else on my mind.”
“I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you. Although, on the other hand, maybe it’s better that you didn’t end up with that girl. You wouldn’t have enjoyed your marriage for very long.”
“But maybe I would have had a chance to keep the baby.”
“Maybe. There’s no point in guessing now, Y/n. You can’t turn back time.” The man finished his coffee, slapped his thighs, and stood up from the couch. The removal team is supposed to show up today and we have to be home at that time.”
You walked up to him and shook his outstretched hand tightly. “I'm glad you agreed to meet with me again.”
“We were going to be nearby anyway, so I didn’t see a problem with visiting your cafe. It’ll do the boy good. Keep the photo, it’s one of the copies, and you might find it useful.”
You both left your small office and went back to the cafeteria hall where there were several customers, completely occupied with their own business. You easily found the table where Kiyoko and Yuuta were sitting, because from that part you could hear quiet, muffled laughter.
Your two employees passed you and your uncle, blushing deeply and disappeared through the door leading to the back, where your small pastry shop was located, and you raised an eyebrow in surprise at their behavior.
“What happened?” Tsuyoshi asked in astonishment as you pulled up at the appropriate table.
“Yuuta is a real pick-up artist.” His wife laughed quietly, modestly covering her mouth with her hand to hide her wide smile.
Your cheeks flushed when you heard her words and you looked at your offspring, who was unfazed, finishing eating a piece of fruit cake he had chosen. His face was adorably smeared with sweet cream, and his big eyes moved from Kiyoko's face to yours.
“Pick-up artist?” You asked uncertainly and the boy gave you an innocent look.
“He tried to feed Chiyoko-chan and Hanae-chan his cake.” The woman's eyes sparkled with amusement. “Oh, auntie! I've never seen so many beautiful blossoms in one place! Daddy must be so happy to work in a place like this!” She quoted the boy, who began to squirm in his seat, chewing on a piece of fruit. His cheeks flushed, and a shy smile played on his lips. “I don't know where he got those words from, because it definitely wasn't from our house.”
“Sometimes something might slip out of my mouth.” The detective mumbled quietly, and you rubbed your neck with your hand, probably feeling more embarrassed than the little boy.
“Children are more honest than adults.” You shrugged, watching another piece of fruit disappear into Yuuta’s mouth. “What are you eating, hmm?”
“Honey melon.” He replied, leaving you and your uncle in quite amazement.
“I thought that…” You started, but Kiyoko waved her hand.
“Hanae-chan encouraged him with her warm words. A very sweet girl.”
“Daddy?”
“Yes?” You looked at your child and smiled gently.
“Can I have some more melon? Takeaway, please?" He asked uncertainly and you patted his head. You reached for a napkin and began to gently wipe his sticky face.
"Yes, of course. I’ll ask Hanae-chan to cut you some in a moment.”
The little guy smiled broadly and began to happily swing his legs under the table. You nodded to your aunt and uncle and walked over to the counter, behind which Aina-chan stood with a dreamy expression. She blinked at you a few times and smiled.
“I’ll allow myself a little impudence, boss, but you know how to make a cute baby.”
“I only have one, so I don’t really have that knowledge.” You replied, trying to keep a straight face and asked her to pass on the little customer’s special order to Hanae.
After a short while, she returned with a Styrofoam box containing some sliced fruit and a few dark chocolate decorations. You immediately thought about buying a special food box for the boy. The corners of your mouth turned up and you handed the treats to the patiently waiting child.
You said goodbye to everyone and watched your son go to the door, and when he disappeared behind it, you felt a pang of sadness. You agreed with Tsuyoshi that you would only see Yuuta again once you had managed to deal with Yuji. Neither of you wanted to risk the child's safety, and with a heavy heart, you had to agree to it. It would be best that way.
*bzzt, bzzt, bzzt*
You pulled your phone out of your pocket and looked at the screen. You answered the call but didn't have time to say a single word.
"How much longer will you be at the cafe?" Sanzu asked slightly irritated, and you pursed your lips.
"I just finished talking to Tsuyoshi. I'll be on my way back in a few minutes."
"You have to go back now, Y/n."
"Give me a few more minutes..."
"Now."
“Sanzu...”
“You’ve been there for almost two hours. That’s enough time to ask the guy about the things we want to know. Come back.”
“Yuuta came with them.” You said, and there was a brief moment on the other end of the line.
“Is he still there?”
“No…”
“Then you have no reason to be there any longer. Come. Back. To. Your. Home. Right. Now.” The man drawled coldly. “Or I'll come pick you up there and believe me, you don't want me to do that.”
“What got into you, Sanzu?” You frowned as you left the building and headed to the small parking lot where you had left your car. “I’m getting in the car now, are you happy?”
“I’ll be happy when you get here.” The gangster, still clearly irritated, grumbled. “You didn’t ask.”
“I didn’t ask what?” You closed the car door and reached for your seat belt.
“Do I want something from the café?”
You froze, not believing your own ears. You looked at the lit screen of your phone and cursed under your breath. “I asked before I left the house. You said you didn’t want anything.”
“I guess you're stupid after all. That was over two hours ago. You should ask again.”
“Sanzu...”
“Ask, Y/n.”
You took a deep breath and closed your eyes for a moment. “Do you want anything from the cafe, honey?”
“No.” Came the reply and you raised your free hand, feeling your irritation mix with amusement. “I want you home already.”
“I'm on my way.” You turned the key in the ignition. “Are you sure you don't want anything?”
“No. Rosie doesn't want anything either.” He added after a moment, and you nodded.
“I'm on my way then. Be good, please.”
“I'm always good.” Haru feigned indignation.
“I love you.” You said fondly and heard the man's short laugh on the other end.
“Of course you do. We have something to discuss. Bye-bye.” He ended the call, and you sighed heavily as you drove out of the parking lot.
You couldn't understand Haruchiyo the night before. His behavior was very similar to when you both had to spend the night at the Bonten hideout, but it had some deviations.
At first, he slid behind you while you were taking a shower, only to bite you a few times on the shoulder and back, then threatened to throw you out of bed if your hands roamed his body, getting close to his private parts.
You had no intention of groping him and just wanted to cuddle, but it wasn't your fault that your hands started to gently move over his attractive body on their own.
Eventually he elbowed you in the stomach, but as soon as you started to pull away from him, he grabbed your hand and pulled you back to him, mumbling under his breath that only he had the right to be the big spoon. Eventually, you fell asleep against his back, lulled by the scent of his clean body and shampoo.
“Y/n...”
Despite being half asleep, you could hear Haruchiyo's quiet voice perfectly. "Hmm..."
"You're poking me."
"Not at all." You mumbled, burying your nose deeper in his soft hair. Your arms tightened around his body, pulling the man closer to your chest.
"Of course you do." He moved, and when his ass brushed against your crotch, you understood what he meant.
You inhaled his scent, feeling your face grow warmer. “Fuck…”
“Do something about it.” Sanzu demanded, pulling away from you.
You mumbled, rolling onto your back, and one of your hands disappeared under the covers you both slept under. You slid down your pajama bottoms and began to lazily move your hand over your erection.
After a short while, you heard the rustle of the sheets and the mattress dipped slightly under the influence of your lover’s body, who changed position from lying to sitting. You gave him a quick look, not stopping to masturbate, and the sight of his face illuminated by the moonlight almost made you burst out laughing.
When Sanzu turned on the night light, your lips stretched into a wicked smile.
“Seriously, pervert? Here?” He asked, looking at you in disbelief.
“Where exactly? I need a perfect view of you to get this done quickly.” Your voice was smooth as velvet as you began to caress the head of your penis with your hand.
“Go to the bathroom and use your imagination, or take your phone with you...”
“Nope. It's much better in person. Besides...” You bit your lower lip gently. “We already had sex and... Hgnn... You can join if you want to.”
“Excuse me?” Sanzu leaned back slightly, looking at you with narrowed eyes.
“Ah... You know what I mean.” You laughed quietly and started massaging your balls with your other hand. “I can see you blushing. Your breathing quickened... Relieve yourself, honey.”
“You're cheeky.” His lips stretched into a mocking smile and shortly after you closed your eyes, you felt the pink-haired man approach you and a few seconds later his hand slipped under the covers, grabbing your wrist.
“What are you doing?” You asked, looking at him in surprise.
“What do you think?” He replied quietly and pulled your hand away from your cock while his other hand moved the covers away, revealing your swollen penis, which was leaning towards your thigh due to your arousal. “Let me help you a little and we can go back to sleep, okay baby?”
He pinned your hand just above your head, leaned down and your lips met in a long kiss, during which his free hand began to slide over your bare stomach.
At the same moment his slender fingers closed around your cock, his tongue slipped into your mouth, taking you completely by surprise. At first, he caressed your shaft at a similar pace as you had earlier, but as the kiss heated up, his hand began to move faster.
He gently ran his thumbnail over the frenulum just below the head of your penis a few times and you moaned into his parted lips, which he took advantage of again by sliding his hot tongue into yours.
You grabbed him by the neck with one hand and held him there, and his hand tightened around the tip of your manhood, massaging it rhythmically. You squeezed your eyes shut feeling how little you needed to climax, and another moan escaped your lips, muffled by your lover's reddened ones.
Haruchiyo moved his hand faster and your hips jerked upward, releasing your orgasm with a sticky shot of your seed. His kisses lost their intensity, though they became more and more tender, and his hand moved slower and slower until it finally stilled, allowing your throbbing member to rest.
You swallowed hard, catching your breath, and felt the man's lips stretch into a smile. He pulled away from you so he could look at your heated face and your heart skipped a beat at the sight of his beautiful eyes.
"Better?" He asked in a slightly amused tone, and you nodded.
“Better. Thank you, Haru.”
He patted your thigh and got off the bed, leaving you alone on it and a little disappointed.
“You need to change out of your pajamas, honey.” He said disappearing into the bathroom and you propped yourself up on your elbows to see how messy you had made yourself and after a moment you followed him.
You pulled into the driveway in front of your garage and pulled out a photo of Yuji L/n from your jacket pocket. You felt a sudden surge of determination and were willing to do anything to get your hands on that son of a bitch and put an end to his reign of terror.
