More than 20 million women across the EU do not have access to safe abortion care. This not only puts women at risk of physical harm but also puts undue economic and mental stress on women and families who are often on the margins of society that can afford it the least.

My Voice My Choice have submitted a European Citizens’ Initiative demanding that the EU does what is in its power to ensure safe and accessible abortion for all. They are demanding that the EU passes legislation that would create a financial mechanism that helps Member States that voluntarily join this policy to provide safe abortion care for all those who don’t have access to it.

As of today, 200.000 people have signed this initiative.

In reaction to the United States Supreme Court's ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, Mathilde Panot, French MP and President of the La France insoumise parliamentary group submitted a bill to the French National Assembly.

If parents are not obligated by law to give blood or tissue to a, say, 6 year old child of theirs, even if the kid dies as a result, a pregnant person should not be obligated by law to give their body to the foetus. Bodily autonomy is respected after birth. It should be respected before.

People in my shithole country die regularly because of "being aborted by the foetus". Technically there's an exemption. In actuality, no doctor wants to perform the abortion and you die.
