tbh I couldn’t for the life of me pick a color palette I liked And Render it so I gave up on color. Enjoy the half assery.

Tbh I’ve just been call it Ithacan Naga, but it’s objectively it’s a mix of snake, owl/bird, and human. So 🤷.

Tbh the wings are supposed to be white/gray-brown, cause owls & Hermes, while his scales are supposed to be an oscillating scale from sea green-blue to purple-tinted gray. Uhm. Evidently that sorta didn’t happen but also did. So.

The purple/grayer scales are gonna be more around with the feathers and wings.

Those fin colors are. Too blue and too bright but I love the colors themselves so they’re staying for now.

The Marksman has an absolutely atrocious wandering sleep schedule that involves only ~4 hours of proper horizontal sleep at whatever random time is convenient to him. The rest of his sleep he gets from sporadic naps, utilizing his ability to sleep literally anywhere (often standing up). He prefers sleeping during the daytime (to pass the brightness/heat of day) in crowded or busy areas, since there's significantly lower chances of people taking advantage (pickpockets, etc) somewhere where there's guards watching. About once a month or so he crashes tf out and sleeps like the dead for ~10 hours, but that's how the slate breaks, he supposes.

Tharaêl, long used to sleeplessness from his time in the Rhalâta, quickly gets used to the Marksman's new method of sleep deprivation. He can't nap, however, so he uses the time to rest, think, people-watch, or generally have time for himself.

I've been enjoying how Brennan seems to be using the limited format of the EXU series to explore game balance scenarios that are interesting but untenable for the average long-term campaign.

What if you faced a CR 40 challenge but everyone at the table is literally a god? What if you have wildly unbalanced abilities, so you can deal 300 damage easily but you only have a normal set of hit points? What can you do if you're guaranteed to pass almost any skill check? What if the table isn't even level 1 yet, but they have access to artifacts of enormous power meant for level 15 characters? How do you play tactics for these challenges? How does the DM plan for them?

Notable interesting examples include the DM's failure to quite plan for what a 20th-level wizard can do, meaning that the intended imbalance of the "unshackling the god's power" scenario was far more short-lived than intended. On the converse, the players have had some pretty fun tactics: see Ashley rolling a 60 to persuade a construct to abandon its programming, or Matt looking at his character sheet and smartly deciding his artifact-level siege weapon would be much better applied using the terrain to cause damage for him, rather than walking up to the enemies and whacking them with it.

This is definitely gonna sound weird but... How tall do you think ii is? Like people constantly joke about his height and I know he's on the smaller side (in comparison to the other members at the very least), but how small is this guy??

Hey Anon, thanks for the ask, it's not too weird lol. I mean, honestly, he's not that small. I don't know for sure but I'd say he's around 5'6/168cm. So, technically, just below average for an English guy. He's just got the unfortunate luck to be in a band with two giants lol. I've seen photos of him standing next to previous bandmates he's had and they all literally look like they're average height.

The only height I know for certain (let's say I'm 95% certain because guys do lie sometimes) is III at 6'4/193cm. I've got a mock-up height chart and that old band photo below the cut if anyone is interested (no faces or names, obviously🖤)

The top of the oval over II's face is at the same pixel of his height; I left the top of the other guy's heads for comparison. Standing here he's literally normal height lol.

I think the funniest thing I did with my Vhaeraun design at his most casual is turn his cape into a leather jacket with an absurdly long tail coat. Really keeps the energy of a loser that thinks dressing like a supervillain is the coolest thing in the world. Quite happy with that.

fantasy life i is so weird. at first i was like "wow the change in scope here from the first fantasy life reminds me a lot of the change in scope that happened between the yo-kai watch games, with the base game being fundamentally the same but with whole new systems added in tandem and on top of them!" and i think even that gratuitous comparison undersells how incredibly similar the game feels to the yo-kai watch games. u literally start hunting yokai. u turn the yokai into people and build an animal crossing town for them

its unfortunate that teppu is so short because 1) the obvious reason. it's so perfectly set up for More in general, the whole series feels like a First Arc and setting up three generations of rivals and not doing anything with it is insane but also 2) it's so short that if im like "damn i should reread teppu" i can get it done in a couple of hours and thus permanently alter the course of my day. for the worse 💀
