As kids we are told not to talk to strangers. Right? Well once we get to school kids are scared to make friends for the reason being that we grew up being told not to talk to strangers, so it’s difficult for us to make friends because as young kids we do not want to disappoint our parents. Once we get older its still as hard even though we do not really care because we grew up with the people around us, but the reason its hard it because of the judgement and the bullying. Am i right or Am i wrong?

Kind of time sensitive but I know you guys are busy so if you can't get to this, no problem. I have to take a stats class in university next year and I'm really freaking out because I'm not good at all at math and I know that the average grade for this class is usually really low but I don't want to do poorly and I absolutely have to take this class..
Hey there,
I hope this gets to you on time dear. We all have subjects that we may not be the best at and that’s okay. The thing is, you just have to work extra hard at this subject during the year, make sure you are practicing questions weekly, make sure you are seeking help from your peers, your professor. Don’t leave anything that you don’t understand to the last minute or to your finals, because that’s when you’re going to start to regret it.
It’s all about the effort that you put in, and trust me, you’ll feel happy at the end of it all when you look back and see how far you’ve come.
Good luck love,
Chloe x

Seemingly Lost Potential
So now it’s time to get back to my chronological storytelling of my past. Well after the lumbar puncture I started missing more and more school. It got to point where most mornings I would wake up and begged to stay home from school just because I felt like I was in too much pain to go to school. Luckily my parents were smarter and knew that I was tougher than I thought I was. They could see how strong I was even though I couldn’t see it in myself. I now have been through more than I ever thought was possible, with more to come, and I have still been successful in my endeavors. I am in currently in two AP classes and I am loving them. I started off this year in 3 AP classes but I soon realized that that was not realistic. I started off this year thinking that I would get better easily and quickly and be able to keep up in all three AP classes. I soon fell behind in all of them and I had to choose which ones to keep for second semester. I am a science nerd all the way so it killed me to have to drop AP biology, especially since I want to become a doctor. Soon, I’m going to have to do a whole lot of biology so I would’ve loved to have that base knowledge of biology before I head off to college. Although I had to take biology off the schedule, I still get to enjoy two AP classes and while I am behind in both of them, my teachers are amazing. I have proven to others and myself that while I might not get things done on time, I always get them done. My teachers can see that I truly do love learning, especially in subjects that I love, like calculus. Although English is not my favorite subject, it has been fascinating to understand Shakespearean literature and able to apply it to our lives today. My point of all of this jargon about my school schedule and my work ethic is to prove to the people out there who are struggling in some way that it is possible to be successful while being sick. It is definitely not easy. It has been and will be the hardest thing I do in my entire life. I expect more from myself then other people expect from me. I let myself down more than I let other people down, but I have learned where my limits are and how to spend my time wisely. I have five weeks left in high school, and I am going to graduate with more than just barely scraping by as passing. I am going to be proud of what I have accomplished despite all of the outside issues that have directed my life for the past two years. I don’t have cancer or another disease that is even more debilitating than mine, but I am still proof that just because your body is sick doesn’t mean all of you is sick. It seems like you have all this potential to unlock that you can’t get to, but you are just skimming the surface of what you can accomplish when you put your mind to it. Do not lose faith in God’s plan. “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 Love always, Sierra

Rise from rock bottom: Letter of Encouragement
• UPDATE: In connection to my article "FLAWS" •
We students felt the flaws. Felt the pressure and everything that puts us rock bottom. The words that cut through our chest and minds. The negativity that hypnotizes our brains to give up. The trampled motivations we showed. Till we come to the point that hatred is eating away our future. To the point we despise and even blame ourselves for being useless and having no worth. What can we do? What do we have to do if this sorcery continues? I suggest to all students out there, speak for your rights. If you feel offended, if you feel down, you always have the right to speak for yourself. Prove to them, that you are better than what they thought. That every one of us has their own unique capabilities and that we are smart in our own ways. We can climb out of our weakness shell, and let them see that what they thought we cannot do is just a challenge to let them see the real you. That we continue to try after all the hurtful words they bombard us. This is what we can do best. To be better. We are students and we understand and endure the struggle. The pain. The tears we tried so hard to keep. The failures we tried so hard to accept. Everything was done with effort. Everything was done with the thought for success. All will be worth it in the end. You just have to stand, try and never ever forget to respect. A student who stands, speaks and respects is better than someone who pulls you to the depths of the ocean. Education is the KEY to SUCCESS. But EDUCATION with ALL THESE is the KEY to a GREATER SUCCESS. I believe no student has never felt and experiences injustice. We all have. And for that, stand and never give up. We are all worth something.

All the veggies at my school are smothered in butter and oil and salt. This is probably why I'm retaining so much water.
So I'll only eat from the salad bar I guess.... BORING!

You can’t rush through
As much as I myself, despise high school and the intricacies which consume eight hours of my day, every Monday through Friday, people need to realize the amount of opportunities that they can have if they apply themselves. Possibilities are endless and grow everyday without bounds but kids and teens in schools around the world only care about leaving high school. This is the only thing they are concerned with is escaping school, and for what reason, so you can go home and “blaze up”, go to sleep, watch Youtube videos, or something unproductive and possibly detrimental to their lives. People have the opportunity to build themselves and their mind to the fullest potential yet they concern themselves with escaping high school and when they get to leave, don’t get me wrong I’m not going to cry when I graduate or anything but that will be because I realize that I utilized high school for its greatest purpose, knowledge and construction. I apply myself to try to learn everything, and mistakes come and go, but i realize that i have roughly 180 days x 8 hours x 4 years in which inevitably the lesson will be reiterated throughout one of those hours in which I make another effort to learn and educate myself. No, I’m not perfect and I don’t expect to come off as such, I apply myself to learning and yearn for knowledge, its one of the two things I expect out of high school, the second is construction. No, of course I’m not talking about when people put bricks on top of each other for a year to build a building, but self-construction. High school is a time to establish yourself as you, develop values, habits, character virtues and a code. If nothing else is accomplished through high school but self-construction and growth throughout everyday of high school then, high school was a success. If you grow and build yourself everyday then you have accomplished more than you or anyone else will ever know. Success will fall into your arms if you grow yourself everyday during high school, push yourself past boundaries, fears and anxiety inducing activities. If you mature everyday of high school and improve your life and those around you everyday, success will fall like rain like you live in a rain forest. Sadly, people and teens of high school don’t realize this and it enrages me, the opportunity that they have everyday for roughly 720 days, 5,760 hours and most likely more, to learn and grow and build and progress is one of America’s greatest gifts and it is thrown away by hundreds of thousands of kids and whined about by tens of thousands of kids every single day. You can’t force anything that improves humans, they must want it themselves, they must be, to quote my eighth grade history teacher, “intrinsically motivated” to improve themselves and forcing lessons and tests down kids throats in high school won’t solve anything, only infuriate them, but that is for a different rant...

FLAWS
We are students and we live our everyday lives trying to do our best to pass, to be active and to reach the expectation of our parents, teachers or generally the school. But, how would we be able to do that when within the grounds, we already feel the pressure, the dissatisfaction and the failure before we even try? We are students and every day we endure the stress. We create bonds and memories. And we never neglect the fact that each and every one of us has FLAWS. School was said to be our second home, yet did it feel like home? Was our school warm? In some points, yes. But in some points also no. Some of our second-parents may not notice the sharp knife in their words. Some of them may not notice that we were trying. Some may not seem to see the joy in our success. Some just don’t even care. And lastly, some are too strict. We students all understand that teaching is not easy. We students understand that we also have our mistakes. Though the point is, is it right to down our motivation? Is it right to tell us that we will never be successful? Is it right to not at least notice the efforts we made even if we were cramming on the day of our deadliest deadline? We never ran out respect, even if we are already on the verge of crying from all the dissatisfaction, the failures and pressures, the thought of disappointing our parents and friends. Even if we somehow want to cuss and get mad, we cannot do so because we respect the profession and the person behind. It’s just that; tell us properly what we need to do. Not to the point of stomping the chances and motivation we still can grasp to do better and be the best that there is in our own ways.
