Hello!

Ever since Fireheart mention the buzzing feeling like a Dragonfly, I cant stop visualizing a Dragonfly appearing behind his neck between his shoulder blades everytime he uses his gift, I wonder, is there a reason it was associated to a Dragonfly other then just feeling something buzzing?

Hi! Thanks so much for the question, and for all your comments on the fic!

I picked dragonflies for a couple reasons! I needed something in nature that buzzed and bugs are the best for that, but I didn't want to use bees. Even though I love bees (they're very important!) they have a lot more negative associations. In warrior cats bees are usually used to describe someone being mean or stupid, but dragonflies are hardly every mentioned.

Dragonflies also have a lot of relevant symbolism, depending on which culture you're looking at. Change, wisdom, courage, and good luck are all associated with dragonflies.

Plus, on a personal level, dragonflies have always just felt magical to me! They're beautiful and weird and fast :)

one thing i do think people really need to pull the haterism brakes on is saying it's an insult that ncuti's era is so short. ncuti chose to leave of his own volition. i think this was a completely understandable choice given the contractual limbo the show is in and i don't blame him at all but he was not by any means pushed out the door or written out when he didn't want to be. for all the things it's fair to slate rtd for this is actually not among them.

please elaborate about Ghilan'nain???

going to make this kind of quick but my entire thought process when i tagged that post with ghilan'nain is that there must of been a specific reason why she was allowed to ascend and join the evanuris. something big, something on the same level as the others. there are her creations, obviously– the beasts that she made that she killed before she ascended– but if the evanuris ascended her for those creations, then why have her kill them? even more, why not enslave ghilan'nain and force her to make those creations for the evanuris rather than share their power with her and make her one of them? why give her a seat at the table?

which is why i think ghilan'nain was ascended so that she can tame the blight for the evanuris' use. it wasn't just so ghilan'nain could create new and better creatures, but specifically so she has the power to figure out a way to weaponize/control the blight even before their empire fell. she was the key. we know that they couldn't control it themselves (andruil being a prime example, as she was driven mad by the blight armor she wore. elgar'nan as well at the end of datv), so their logic may of been for ghilan'nain to use her power of creating life to instead control the blight/make life from the blight, as we see with her darkspawn.

so yes. she was a mortal elf who rose to the rank of being an evanuris, a "chosen one". it was her ambition, her foolishness that led her to believe that she would be able to control the blight and tame it despite the clear danger. she was sculpted, intended, groomed to be the controller of the blight– only for her to end up just as corrupted and twisted as the other evanuris. she was chosen to rise and it ended up being her power and proximity to that corruption that inevitably killed who she used to be. she is remembered as being the chosen of andruil who was raised into power out of love, and that is likely true! but that love came at a cost.

Warriors SR- Scrambled Rewrite is a fanfic of Warriors written by @solargoose on Ao3.

It's a rewrite/au where the arcs happens out of order.

But not only that, its incredibly satisfying! There are no cats who are weirdly dumb and doesnt notice things.

Bluestar takes action, Fireheart takes action, every character feels real, and almost everything they do have a reason.

Of course thats just my opinion, don't get me wrong, I love the Original Books too.

It's really worth the read.

In carrying on the themes of naming and renaming, Hajime gets to give himself a new name when he joins the Hope family.

Because he doesn't want to be Flaw anymore.

So he names himself Shield Rescue, because that's how he sees himself.

(To be fair - and I need to go back and change this - right now he's not really hearing names as names. He's hearing them as what those names mean.

So he doesn't hear Hajime; he hears Flaw; he calls himself Flaw, Injury.

He doesn't hear Miki; he hears Beautiful Hope.

He doesn't hear Junko; he hears Shield Child.

He names himself Shield Rescue because he wants to be a protector - specifically of Mikan - not realizing that. he just portmanteaued Junko and Yasuke's names.)
