#(don’t listen too closely though I’m a bad singer lol)#I tried to post this Sunday night but it didn’t go through#I had no idea he was going to do it I almost cried#not leverage#hozier#slept at our airbnb for like 4 hours#woke up for an hour until Cumbies would be open so I could get breakfast (5am)#and then drove over 2.5 hours to get back home in time to get prepared for work#I ended up teaching my two hour group and then working till twelve and taking the rest of the day off#I forgot my meds so I slept ten hours until 10 at night 💀#worth it#seeing him was a spiritual experience fr#and this was like SO spontaneous. like I cannot express enough how much I didn’t plan for this#also I literally got my tickets saturday when the show was sunday. thank u stubhub ur a true mvp#I knew my friends were going and were staying overnight and someone in my facebook group was selling tickets last minute and was like 👀👀👀#I’m not gonna go into how she decided to sell to someone else later that day when I had already made plans and made me cry but whatever#it worked out in the end

I have no leg to stand on in this bc I’m also looking to go to a new date and I saw the tour already once but I think the reason people are upset is less saying how others can spend their money and more it’s frustrating that some people can get no tickets and others can get like a dozen lmao like it’s not that deep but I understand!

#jack white#words#announcing super last minute shows is a shitty way to go about a tour#what the hell is even the fun in that?#if it were a few shows fine but nearly all of them? fucking christ how obnoxious is that#i'm so irritated by this ugh#majority of his concert goers are adults who have lives and prior commitments and we cant just drop shit at the last minute#even worse because people have been talking how hard it is to get tickets for these shows#someone had to say it bc im definitely not the only one who thinks this is a dumb idea#this is fucking whack i said what i said#hopefully i can make it to a show if he comes to my state#but i was looking forward to maybe going to multiple shows around the country since i'll be traveling a bit these next few months#first the phones and now this shit#having to go into a “virtual queue” and all this extra shit only to have tickets potentially sell out while you're in it#way to make this as inconvenient and as difficult impossible#i just want a guaranteed ticket why is that so hard to get now#thoughts

#the urge to buy a last minute ticket to starkid's jingle ball that is literally sunday aka tomorrow since it's past midnight#is very strong right now since some posts of people's experiences at the first show are coming in#and it's making me nostalgic#i wasn't planning to go because i don't yet feel comfortable going to concerts#i barely feel comfortable seeing theatre but at least everyone's just sitting there#rather than standing up and singing along and maybe jumping and dancing too#feels too risky#but also. starkid. my loves.#but also. money. and covid. and the flu. and rsv. and general colds.#i'll decide by tomorrow. there's still tickets available. i almost hope it sells out so the universe decides for me.#right now it's like 75% i will not go because covid and lots of people and money. but 25% i wanna see my starkids.#it's funny because last week i was thinking back to my mindset when i saw starkid concerts as a teenager#(because space tour at the same venue was 11 years ago last week and my facebook memories were INTENSE)#(i really just posted like 10 times a day for at least 3 days after the concert STILL freaking out about it. oh 15 year old Hope)#and i was like 'yeah i've calmed down since then. i'm not the girl who will lose her voice at a starkid concert.'#but seeing the few pictures i was like 'aww... starkid concerts... nostalgia...' but like... i've seen them live 4+ times#and yet. i have a feeling Darren's gonna show up. because i noticed that it is coincidentally one of the dates he's not doing his solo show#so that's another reason towards going. but also. do i want to be around people? not really.#hmmmmmm#it's funny that Britney Coleman going on for Bobbie in Company was what made me go back to seeing live theatre again#and now starkid may be what gets me to see concerts again. if you want me to do something it has to be starkid related apparently.

What exactly is the point of naming an album and a tour """Give Me The Future""" when you don't play "Give Me The Future"- I'm gonna fucking scream
#no kidding#i don't get more than 3 hours of sleep on average#I've not slept a single minute tonight and have to get up in 2 hours#I'm literally always on the brink of a physical and emotional breakdown#and seeing that these bitches Actually haven't played gmtf last night and therefore won't play it on Friday either#made me actually just start crying#to the point i considered selling my stupid ticket#because gmtf is THE song i wanted to hear live and I know I'm unnecessarily dramatic but it's just#devastating#i guess#I'm not saying i don't want to see them live or hear other songs but i definitely don't really look forward to it anymore#maybe i'm just tired#like this was the last straw and I'm putting way too much weight on it but still#I'm pissed about this#and honestly could still cry#I'm stupid and apparently have no real problems#I'm gonna be in a bad mood for the rest of this week because of this lol#what if i just stay home and don't risk my and other people's health#i won't get to experience endless love that takes control anyway#so whats the point

#I love my bestie and trust that he’s telling me the truth about a family emergency being the reason he’s cancelling our concert plans#but he flakes on me every single time we make plans together to do anything so it’s hard to be as understanding when there’s a pattern here#and after all the shit he’s told me his brother has done to him why are you still helping him?? I can’t relate to this whole idea of do#anything for family even if your family is trash and would never do the same for you#probably because I have family who is trash and would never do anything for me and I cut them off real quick when I was able#I do not believe in letting people stick around who do nothing but use you and hurt you#so I want to be sympathetic and understanding but couldn’t be me and can’t relate so I’m struggling#plus the constant flaking on me makes me less compassionate as well#I bought these concert tickets months in advance and he was supposed to pay for the hotel room for us to stay out after the show#and yeah he’ll pay me back which is nice but doesn’t really change the fact that I’m currently out that money and everything else#and if my partner or stepdad can’t come with me last minute like this then I’ll have to just sell the tickets back to Ticketmaster#because I really don’t want to go by myself since it’s my first concert and I’d feel awkward and uncomfortable being alone there#was already having trouble sleeping and now I got this fucking nonsense to deal with#guess it’s my own fault for making plans with someone I know never keeps them#personal
