Uptake of organic trends is a measure of health.
So what this paint company does is take iron pollution from abandoned mines that are polluting soils and rivers and makes iron based red pigment paints out of it.
Basically they realized hey no one's cleaning this shit up, it's polluting the streams, killing all the fish, making the water undrinkable and there's a huge market for it so why not make money by cleaning it the fuck up?
They remove this stuff by the industrial bucket load from the rivers. The idea is if it's in a painting, if it's in your home, it's not poisoning wildlife.
anyway its cool as shit, please support tf out of these people https://gamblinstore.com/reclaimed-earth-colors-set/

what the Fuck. surely that can't be right
i just found out tumblr was storing over three GIGABYTES of cookies on my device without me knowing and that's why it's been running so fucking slow recently... incredible. anyways everyone go clear your fucking cookies. don't let this website run a goddamn video game's worth of disc space in the background for no good reason.
#there isn't even anything in the serviceworker caches other than like 50 woff fonts which only adds up to 1mb ish#is it just caching literally every image i've ever seen on tumblr????#i would have thought it can't be cookies because cookies are sent with every request#and sending over 1GB every request should have been immediately noticed#since even if you have gbps download you probably dont have gbps upload#yeah the longest cookie is eu-consent and it's only like half a kb

The company is CSC. And I smirk because they operate the four machines downstairs. Not worth my time trying to read the archive page with commands to get free laundry. A gadget is nailed to the wall in the corner with a shiny blue bubble on top. I guess that is the wifi for the machines. The wifi sometimes goes out when it rains. Sometimes it is just twitchy. Can't read my card. Can't charge my card. Some folks just yank out the cord when that happens. !! Die Machine !!

May I Offer A Tip On Tipping
This is not advice on how much or when to tip but a comment on how to tip. I do not claim to be any kind of expert but I’ve just learned something about tipping I thought I’d share. As a teenager in high school, I worked for two years as a waitress and a carhop at a hamburger joint behind the bowling alley in our small town. I never made much in tips. My customers were mostly high-school kids…

while the recent amzn/serviceworker unionization wave is huge and a milestone for making the worker's life less hellish, the left as a solid world-improving political bloc acting outside of electoralism is like 76% fuckin COOOKED cuz so so few of us are actually meaningfully tangibly involved in the industrial or logistical or agricultural supply chain like a general strike conducted with full 100% committal rate by the demographic of people who would actually comply w a wildcat general strike order in 2024 would hav abt the same effect on the scales of tru power as, uh, lemon meringue pie dropped from a stepladder like imagine a red legislator going Uoouuuuhhhh FUUUuuuuuUuck Oooouuhhhhhhh my BARISTAAAAAaaAaa wont make my TREEEAAAATTTSSSSS ahhhh Fuuuuuuuuuuuck my amazon order took a day longer to fulfillllllll uhhhhggghhhhh This Has Convinced Me To Stop Advocating for Genocide

Ray-rah, CSC Serviceworks, your laundry management app absolutely sucks. (And that's the PG version of my opinion)
Sincerely, a tired veterinary student with a final exam coming up, who is now in a sketchy Laundromat across town paying extra to do laundry, and trying to study, because your app declined my credit card five times (despite the fact that it is fully paid off and doesn't expire in two years, despite that I've used it before, and oh, by the way, I called the company and they said they approved it on their end, and your system is reverting it), so now I can't add to my account to start machines in the laundry facility at my apartment... This when it's already a game to find out if your network will be up so I can scan a machine to start every week. God only knows why my HOA switched their system to yours when you're ranked an F by the Better Business Bureau, according to my online searches. Your online chat is useless, and my attempts are telling me that the reviews saying your call line puts people on hold for over an hour to go nowhere are accurate.
#rant#pardon my insanity#this is ridiculous#I'm calling the HOA and raising hell tomorrow#laundry problems#Maybe I'll at least get an incorrect quote inspo out of this#but seriously?#I've done my troubleshooting... It's not on my end#my mutuals could probably attest I don't swear much but this sure drew a blue streak out of me#screaming into the void because urrggghh

U.S. Laundry Facilities & Dry-Cleaning Services Market: Sustainability Practices
U.S. Laundry Facilities & Dry-Cleaning Services Industry Overview
The U.S. Laundry Facilities and Dry-Cleaning Services Market, with an estimated size of USD 15.75 billion in 2024, is projected to grow at a CAGR of 6.3% from 2025 to 2030. This growth is driven by the increasing number of Americans living in urban areas with limited in-unit laundry options, making professional services essential. Additionally, busy schedules are fueling demand for time-saving services, particularly those offering pickup and delivery, likely supporting market growth.
Technological advancements have significantly contributed to this market growth. Over the last decade, the integration of digital platforms, automation, and smart laundry systems has enhanced efficiency and customer experience. A key innovation is the adoption of sophisticated software and mobile applications that allow consumers and businesses to easily book services, schedule pickups, and track their laundry in real-time, leading to increased service usage.
Detailed Segmentation:
Type Insights
The demand for retail laundry/dry cleaning services is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.0% from 2025 to 2030. Retail laundry and dry-cleaning services are increasingly popular in the U.S. for convenience and time savings. Many individuals, especially busy professionals, find that outsourcing laundry allows them to focus on other tasks or enjoy downtime. These services are particularly useful for large or delicate items like duvets, rugs, and suits that require specialized care. In addition, dry cleaning preserves fabric quality, texture, and shape, helping clothes last longer and reducing the need for frequent replacements. This combination of convenience and garment care makes dry cleaning appealing to many.
Regional Insights
The demand for laundry facilities & dry-cleaning services market in the southeast U.S. is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.8% from 2024 to 2030. The Southeastern U.S. has experienced significant population growth, outpacing the national average by nearly 40% over the past 50 years, largely driven by remote work and a desire for less dense living environments, according to a blog published by HKS Inc. in September 2022. This influx of residents and businesses, including numerous Fortune 500 companies relocating to cities like Raleigh and Atlanta, has spurred economic expansion exceeding 10% in 2021. As the region continues to attract diverse industries, the demand for laundry facilities and dry-cleaning services is expected to rise. This growth presents opportunities for businesses to establish services that cater to the evolving needs of a larger, more dynamic population.
