He's been with many women , men , and people in between. Hookups , bar dates , etc. He never thought he'd actually catch feelings for one of his flings until he met you.

You were surprised to join his crew (since it was all men) , but you proved to be a great comrade.

He loves how headstrong you are , how captivating you look , how you battle , and so much more.

He became increasingly more obvious that he was head over heels for you , as pointed out by one of his conversations with Mihawk himself.

One night , during a celebrating , the crew was mostly drunk , eating , or dancing. Shanks was one of the drunken pirates laying around.

He was hanging out near you. You watched him since you weren't drunk and wanted to make sure he was okay.

While he rested his head in your lap , he told you how beautiful / handsome you are to him. While you processed his words , he continued about how he much he loves you.

But he vaguely remembered saying those things in the morning. Mostly because you were there , laying beside him.

Buggy the Clown

He was oblivious to his feelings for you.

When you joined up with him , he felt as if he was on top of the world because of having someone strong like you on his side.

Eventually , he fell head over heels for you. It was extremely obvious. He had a huge soft spot for you , would only listen to you , would turn red around you , would yell at you less , etc.

He couldn't even tell until Alvida brought it up to him. She told him that what he felt was love and he FREAKED out.

He's never been in love before. He doesn't know how to handle his emotions and such , so he tries to distance himself from you to make the feelings fade.

But they only grew.

One day , you brought some food to his room. You wanted to see if he was okay. You didn't bother knocking since he knew it was you.

You placed it on his desk and sat near him to check in on him.

That was a mistake.

As soon as you did , he blurted out a bunch of nonsense. The only thing you caught was that he was in love with you.

You told him you felt the same and surprised the fuck out of him.

Pirate King: Gol D. Roger

He was also oblivious to the fact he was in love with you , but his entire crew knew.

Even Buggy and Shanks knew.

Rayleigh talked to him about it and Roger admitted that you did make him feel weird. Though , he never thought anything of it. He though you were just his closest companion.

Rayleigh told him that he was in love with you and he should just tell you.

And he did.

As bluntly as possible.

He didn't even sugar coat it.

He just straight up told you on a random day while you two were hanging our.

It shocked the fuck out of you , but you told him you felt the same.

That same , handsome smile that's always on his face grew.

His entire crew was in SHOCK.

They knew how he felt , but they didn't expect him to confess like this.

Dark King: Silvers Rayleigh

He's a very wise man. He's the righthand of the pirate king , so he has to be (also because Roger is a bubble head who runs right into danger with a smile on his face).

He knew. He knew the second that his heart skipped a beat around you. He accepted it and observed you silently.

Like Robin , he finds out your hobbies and stuff you like.

When he finally decides its the right time to confess , he gets you some flowers and confesses to you on a beach island you his landed on.

You were shocked. You never expected the DARK KING himself to be in love with you. Especially because you felt the same.

You told him you felt the same , and he embraced you. He held onto you for God knows how long , but you both enjoyed it.

Like Rayleigh , she is very wise. That's why she runs a rip - off bar . . .

She realized she was in love with you almost immediately. It was obvious because she fell into the same illness that those before her did.

She knew what embarrassed you and what flustered you.

White Chase: Smoker

Though he seems gruff , he has a massive soft side for G5 and his comrades. That includes you.

In fact , he had a bigger soft spot for you. You got away with more shenanigans , you got to hang out with him more , etc. G5 and Tashigi noticed.

He didn't , but they sure as hell did. They would tease poor Smoker about his little crush all. day.

Any chance they got , they would hook you guys up. On an island ? You twos re going together. Gotta run some errands ? Smoker and Reader can handle it !

Eventually , his feelings grew unbearable.

One evening , when you two were dining together after a battle , he blurted out his feelings.

After realizing what he did , he looked away in shame.

But you held his hand and told him you felt the same.

Though you two are together now , G5 still teases him about you.

"Captain" Tashigi

It was obvious to literally everyone , even Smoker.

She's always so nervous around you. She stumbles more often , her face is always pink around you , etc. She even works harder when you're around ! (She wants to show you that she's strong)

Even you noticed.

G5 teased her about it and did the same thing they did to Smoker. They would hook you guys up as much as possible.

Eventually , you just confessed your love to her because you knew she wouldn't do it. She told you she felt the same and you two got together.

Hawkeye: Dracule Mihawk

He could tell as soon as it came up. He's a smart man.

Since you started living with him , he knew it would most likely happen. However , he wasn't exactly sure how to tell you.

He decided to ask Perona about her opinion. Upon hearing his feelings for you , she freaked out and cheered for him.

She gave him a BUNCH of tips , pointers , and stuff like that. She told him to surprise you with flowers , dinner , and stuff you liked.

Which he did.

He brought you to the Baratie , the place famous for its food. He knew you liked that place because you grew up around the owner.

He took you there and let you go crazy with whatever you wanted to order.

At the end of yalls little dinner date , he handed you a black rose and informed you of his feelings.

With dead eyes. Like , he wasn't even nervous.

You were though.

You turned red but told him you felt the same.

He was very happy , even if he didn't look it.

He brought you back to the castle and ended the night with wine and reading (with you , of course).

Reader: I know how it sounds, but I figured it'd be a good way to get back at them.

Shakky: While I'm all for helping you get revenge, I don't understand your logic.

You: well, Rayleigh is Shanks's father figure.

Rayleigh: That's not how I'd put it, but I suppose I'm the closest thing he's got.

You: And while I know you two have an open relationship, I thought fucking my captain's father figure would be crossing a line.

Shakky: probably a wise move.

You: And I wanted you to go on a fake date with you, Shakky because Benn has had a crush on you for years, but has been too nervous to ask you out on a date.

Rayleigh: so a date, with both of us, would be two birds with one stone.

Shakky: Oh, I know about his little crush, his poker face is terrible

You: I know, right? I saw him in here earlier, looking at you, he was about as subtle as a sea train.

Rayleigh: *turns to his wife,* What do you think?

Shakky: I dunno.

You: I'll pay for dinner.

Shakky: Deal.

Rayleigh: Pick us up at six thirty tonight.

That night during dinner

Rayleigh: *drinking straight from the wine bottle you ordered*, So how's the brat supposed to know you took us on a date?

You: Well, he planned on dining here at seven, so by the time our food arrives, he should be here. But you know him, he's not good at sticking to plans. If he doesn't come, we could take a picture as a backup plan.

Shakky: Sounds like a plan, in the meantime, we should have a proper date.

Rayleigh: yes, tell us about yourself.

An hour later

You: And Shanks, buck ass naked, slips on the wet rocks, falls, and smacks against the surface of the water!

You: Not long, this is the first date.

Shanks: Is this because of what we said two weeks ago?

Shanks: *pouts,* We were just teasing.

Shakky: You're interrupting our date, it's quite rude.

Shanks: *alone, passed out drunk on his table*

Rayleigh: *sighs* this boy I swear.

Shakky: Want to ditch him with our tab?

You: Yeah, but we're not gonna leave him without the cash, *pulls out his wallet and puts the Berry you brought along inside before sliding it back into his pocket*

The next day on the Red Force

You: *walks onto the ship only for everyone to stare at you*

Benn: You have some explaining to do.

Shanks: *bursts out of his cabin,* Did you fuck them?

You: no, I thought that'd be crossing a line.

Shanks: then where did you stay last night?

You: In their guest room, I helped Shakky open this morning because Rayleigh had wandered off after our date... Look, it wasn't a real date, Boss, I was upfront with them about my intentions.

Shanks: We didn't bully you.

You: It certainly felt like it to me, and when I voiced that hurt, you didn't apologize, and basically told me to stop sulking. So I wanted you to know how it felt, so I asked Rayleigh and Shakky to help me get back at you for bullying me.

Shanks: I see, *reflects on his behavior for a moment* I'm sorry we teased you, it was supposed to be a joke but ended up hurting your feelings.

You: Apology accepted.

Shanks: Now, please never date any of my former crew mates from my time with Roger.

You: I promise I won't knowingly date any of them.

Shanks: I don't like the way you phrased that, but fine, I guess.

Benn: Now that that's done, tell me how in the hell you got Shakky to go on a date with you.

You: Again, it was a fake date, but I simply asked.

Rayleigh sat in the Shakky’s Rip-off bar, sipping his drink and speaking with his wife, when his attention was pulled away from her to a newcomer.

“Oh Dear, What did you do now?” He asks as he sighs, setting his glass down.

“So-rry Grandpa,” the small child drawls

Rayleigh raises an eyebrow.

“Reader, Did you get into another fight?”

“…yeah,” they mutter.

Rayleigh is quick to give them a quick slap to the back of the head.

“Ow! Grandpa, what was that for! Grandma Grandpa is being mean!”

Rayleigh gives them a hard look.

“To knock some sense into you, you always get in trouble like this, yet you never learn!”

“He’s right, Honey; you’ll get really hurt one day if you keep this up,” Shakky says exhaling the smoke in a thin wisp.

“But Grandpa, Grandma, they deserved it!”

Rayleigh shakes his head, looking at the child.

“It doesn’t matter if they did deserve it! You need to learn self-restraint! You don’t walk around beating people up whenever they wrong you!”

“Why not?!” they yell at him.

Rayleigh delivers a second slap to the back of their head.

“Ow! Grandpa, that really hurts! Grandma!” they call again, hoping she will save them.

She simply gives them a smile and shakes her head, holding the cigarette between her fingers.

“Good! I hope you remember that when you think of getting into another pointless fight for no reason again.”

They pout, rubbing the back of their head.

“I hope that attitude sticks around. Now, what was this fight about hm? Or should I find out later from an angry mob again?”

“That was one time, Grandpa! He was insulting you! And then went crying to his dad, who happened to be the mayor.” The child protests, crossing their arms.

Rayleigh raises an eyebrow.

“What was it this time?” the old man says, waving his previous statement off.

The child fidgets slightly at the question.

“Hm?” Rayleigh presses, clearly noticing the child’s reluctance to answer.

The child mutters something under their breath.

Rayleigh leans in, placing his hands together and resting his elbows on the table as he stares at the child with curious eyes.

“What was that?”

“…they were insulting you again.”

The old man sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose.

“That’s what started this?”

They nod, rubbing their arm nervously

He sighs, motioning Reader to come closer

They step towards him, still avoiding his eyes even as he picks them up, placing them on his lap.

Rayleigh gently puts a hand on their cheek.

“Look at me, reader.”

They glance at him.

“Do not let them get to you, Reader. I am not fragile, and you do not have to defend me every time they make a snide remark.”

“I know, but it’s not fair how they talk about you, Grandpa!”

Rayleigh smiles and hugs them tightly.

“I know it isn’t fair, but you must remember that people like that are not worth your time and energy. Let them babble nonsense about me and come to me with it instead. Do not let their snide remarks get to you, though. Okay..?”

“Good..and promise me you won’t go around hitting people when they say something you don’t like?”

“I’ll try”

“Hm, better than nothing.” The old man sighs and pats their head.

“Now let me see,” Shakky says, gesturing to their arm.

“But it’s gonna hurt!”

Rayleigh sighs and ruffles their hair.

“Stop whining; listen to your Grandmother.”

They groan, showing her their arm where a new cut adorned their skin.

Shakky humed as she examined the cut. It wasn’t a bad one, but it was still enough to require at least some sort of care-taking.

Rayleigh looked back at Reader and spoke softly.

“This is why you shouldn’t just attack people blindly just because you don’t like what they say.”

The woman looked at them for a moment before sighing and picking them up from her husband’s lap.

“You’re coming with me, and we’re going to properly treat that.”

“Rayleigh, could you pass me the rubbing alcohol? It’s on the cabinet over there.”

Rayleigh swiftly stands and walks to the bartender’s side of the bar, opens the cabinet, and grabs a bottle of alcohol, handing it to his wife.

“Here you go.”

“Thank you, Dear”

“Now don’t you worry, Reader, if you behave, then this won’t hurt at all,” she says as she puts her cigarette in her mouth and inhales.

Rayleigh nods and smiles before Shakky starts pouring the alcohol over the cut, and he places a small bandage on it. Reader winces at the pain but tries to remain still.

“There you go, dear. It’s not a big cut, so it will be good as new in a few days, As long as you don’t get into any more fights.” Rayleigh comments

The old man turns to shake a finger at the child sternly, but the scolding is just an act as he tries to hide the soft chuckle.

The child giggles at his grandpa’s antics.

“Thank you, and sorry.”

Rayleigh laughs and ruffles their hair.

“Just don’t let it happen again, sweetheart. I do not enjoy fixing you up after a fight.”

He remembers something and glances toward the child in his wife’s hands.

“So, did you win?”

“Of course I did; I’m your grandchild, after all,” she grins, giving him a peace sign.

He laughs and gives them a quick kiss on the forehead,

“That you are. I expect nothing less from my grandchild.”

Shakky shakes her head with a smile on her face, kissing their forehead as well.

And Ace is the adopted son of Whitebeard, and he's dating Marco, he's brother to a lot of people including Thatch and Izou who are dating, Izou who is the brother of O-kiku who is dating Yamato who is dating Hiyori who is sister of Momonosuke the shogun of Wano. Oh, and Ace Is the son of Roger and Rouge, and the nephew of Rayleigh and Shakki.

Finally got my thoughts together about Rayleigh!Sanji.

Germa is in Sabaody for some reason or another when Reiju gets Sanji out and to Shakky's Rip Off Bar with Sanji still in the helmet. Reiju bows to Rayleigh who is the only one in the bar and runs away and Rayleigh can't even argue because she's gone faster than he can recover so he looks at the kid in the helmet and sighs. He gets the helmet off with armament and looks at the starved and sunken face of the child trapped in the contraption and he's angry.

Sanji is skittish and jumpy and so fucking quiet and Rayleigh doesn't exactly know how to comfort this kid and wishes Roger were here because he would know. So they get the kid bathed and his hair brushed. Shakky asks what the plan is because someone might come looking for the kid and it's going to be even more suspicious if Dark King Rayleigh has him. They talk it over and as much as Rayleigh would like to keep the kid in one place, Sabaody is not the place to keep him.

So they set sail. The boat is small enough for them to both handle but strong enough to withstand the Grand Line. Rayleigh is wondering what to do to make money, he looks at Sanji and how scared the kid still is and tells it to Sanji plainly: that if they're going to stay together Sanji is going to have to learn to fight and be a pirate. Sanji listens and nods so Rayleigh also says they're going to need a crew. Also his bounty is going to fucking sky rocket.

They do actually manage to find some crew relatively easily, it's Rayleigh and he vets the crew as much as he can. Sanji sticks close to Rayleigh, training and everything else. He cooks with crew cook and Rayleigh sparsely lets him out of his sight. Sanji is learning quickly even if it's out of fear, not Rayleigh per say but his new life.

Rayleigh is of course right about his bounty and how it sky rockets and rocks the world that he is back. Luckily they get a new boat fit for the crew they have amassed and what's going on. They run into White Beard who looks at Rayleigh and asks why he set sail again. Rayleigh just grabs Sanji and holds him out to the fellow captain as White Beard starts yelling about his other brats. Rayleigh answers that he knows he fucked up and plans to apologize to them but look at this kid, he's a dead royal!

They party and drink and Sanji is around other kids, other brats for the first time. Rayleigh smiles as he plays and talks to other kids and tests his sword skills and everything. Rayleigh eventually grabs his brat who's about to pass out like he did when Buggy and Shanks were little. They leave with threats and promises aplenty.

Sanji isn't particularly protective of his hands after being in the New World for so long, he uses swords and is very skilled at them. He sets himself of fire. Rayleigh blinks at him and calls Shakky to ask what the fuck can set themselves on fire with no issue and she responds with a couple of options. Rayleigh sighs because yeah, okay. This tracks for him and the kids he's raised. He was never going to be dealt an easy hand and he should know that.

Rayleigh is titled an Emperor and he does his best, which is better than before but still not great, raising Sanji. They don't run into Shanks or anyone else. Sanji cooks all the time and is still just as good as he is in canon and still holds the 'if they're hungry I'll feed them' mentality because of the dungeon and how rough it was when they first set sail. They meet Ace and they talk before he leaves to fight Kaido.

They're back at Sabaody for to get news from Shakky. Sanji's bounty does list him as 'Silvers Sanji' as he heads to the auction house to watch the chaos. That new upstart from the East Blue is there and he punches a celestial dragon. Sanji chuckles to himself at the supernovas and their behavior towards one another. For some reason Rayleigh managed to get himself captured and is using his haki to knock almost everyone out and free the mermaid and the giant. Sanji calls to Rayleigh about the navy as he lights a cigarette and goes outside to greet the marines who are there. The marines widen their eyes at him as Luffy, Law and Kidd come out. He grins at them and asks if they're sure they can handle it but like no one really recognizes him because Law, Kidd and Luffy don't pay attention to other's really, especially not emperors yet.

After all that hubbub and before Kuma the Strawhats, Rayleigh and Sanji are in the bar and Sanji sits next to Rayleigh as he asks how the marines were and Sanji says 'lame as usual, always so surprised when I set on fire.' which makes Rayleigh laugh as they all talk. Afterwards they mention they're headed to Impel Down to go get Buggy which the Romance Dawn trio grits their teeth at. Sanji waves at them as they leave and the Kuma gets them.

Then the news comes out about Ace's execution and Rayleigh sighs. He can't let the kid die, it was his captain's kid and he's a pirate again. He has debts to be paid and dues to be collected when he boards the Dutchman and his crew nod and agree, they'll get Buggy and Ace. They get into Impel Down after Luffy and see the reckoning going on so they leave to head to the execution as they're putting their faith into Luffy for the moment there. They meet up with the White Beard fleet and Roger was never one for a fleet, neither is Rayleigh so when Luffy and those from Impel Down escape the war begins.

The battle rages and when Akainu goes to punch Luffy, Rayleigh interrupts, telling him to pick on someone his own size as they start fighting. When Shanks shows up as Buggy is filming everything Sanji grins as he skywalks Ace and Luffy to Marco and drops them in front of the bird man before bolting back with a salute. When Shanks lets out that huge blast of haki and ends the war for everyone to collect their dead and injured, Sanji sky walks back with Rayleigh who claims to be old for Sanji to be doing that. Ace and Luffy are staring at the blond they've both seen once as Shanks and Buggy stare wide eyed at the brat.

Sanji shrugs and lights a cigarette as he lands then introduces himself to Shanks and Buggy. Luffy asks why they didn't get here sooner and Rayleigh points at his ship which has a crew of like eleven people including him and Sanji and thanks him for getting Buggy out. They both apologize to Marco for his losses and how they couldn't protect more and Buggy interrupts to ask who the fuck the blond is and what their plan even was.

"Oh, we got news you had been sent to Impel Down so we were coming to get you." Rayleigh answers. "This is Sanji, my last brat, I didn't get a choice." Rayleigh laughs.

"I'm basically your little brother." Sanji nods as Shanks looks at Rayleigh and Buggy sighs and rubs his temples.

Buggy: I don't know why I bother coming to these things, no one ever pays enough attention to me except Shanks.

Shanks: That's because we're brothers, and I love you man. *Goes in for a hug*

Buggy: *slaps a hand on the red head's face and pushes him away* We're not even related you ding-dong, and I certainly don't love you.

Rayleigh: *glares at the clown* Family isn't always blood, boy.

Buggy: ugh fine *lets Shanks hug him*

Shanks: *nuzzles his face against Buggy*

Buggy: Stop that, I already got an exfoliation treatment at the spa. I don't need any more from your patchy ass beard, ya big lummox!

Shanks: at least I can grow facial hair!

Buggy: I can grow facial hair!

You: Oh please, I'm hairier than you, you over-grown twink.

Shanks: But not me! Look it *rips open his shirt to display his chest hair sending buttons flying everywhere*

You: I'm not sewing those buttons back on

Buggy: Who's this lovely creature?

Shanks: This is my partner

You: Howdy.

Buggy: You poor thing

You: It's not so bad with Benn around.

Benn: yeah, without me, they woulda left him ages ago.

Shanks: truly?

You: of course not

Shanks: *kisses you before turning to Rayleigh*

You: *nods and rolls your eyes at Buggy*

That night after dinner

Shanks: *climbing a try while drunk off his ass*

Benn: *trying to coax him down*

You: *looks up at Rayleigh* he used to bite people as a child, didn't he?

Rayleigh and Buggy: *laughing so hard they cannot stand up straight*

Shakky: *snorts in amusement*

Shanks: *suspicious* what'shl going on?

Rayleigh: he did! He did bite people as a child!

Buggy: look look, *lifts his shirt up and points at crescent shaped scar on his hip* He bit me here when we were seven, because I ate the last chocolate bar on the ship, and we were a week away from any port.

Shanks: I still stand by that decision, you knew better.

Shakky: As did you, when you bit him. I'm still mad at you because he ruined a perfectly good table cloth when I was stitching him up

Shanks: I'll get you a new table cloth.

Shakky: no, thanks, I'd rather hold it over your head for the rest of your life.

Shanks: don't you mean the rest of your life?

You: honey, please, she'll out live all of us, especially you.

Shanks: you're supposed to be on my side.

You: I'd be on your side if you weren't wrong.

“Reader, where were you? Rayleigh questions as he sees his grandchild coming into the bar on top of Millo, their usual Smiledon Companion covered in dirt and grass, his wife in front of him preparing drinks, glancing at the child questioningly

“Outside!”

Rayleigh smiled softly as he approached the child, kneeling down slightly to meet them. Grabbing them from the large feline and putting them on their hip

“What were you doing outside?”

“Causing trouble, I bet?” pipes in Shakky

“We were exploring.”

“Mm, of course,” Rayleigh raises his brow at his wife, who nods along knowingly.

“Exploring, eh?” The white-haired man asks with a sly smirk

“Where were you exploring?”

They stay silent, playing with their grandfathers hair, trying to evade their gaze as they shrug

“Hm,” Rayleigh muttered

He then raises his eyebrows.

“You think I'm going to get mad?” his voice was light yet stern

“Yeah,” they say, hiding their face into their neck and continuing to play with his hair

Rayleigh chuckles, rubbing their head with one hand as he speaks to them.

“Well, I'm not...I know how it is. Being young and curious.”

“But you should never go off without telling someone where you're going.."

“But I went with Millo!” They exclaim, pulling their head out and gesturing at the large feline

“I mean a proper person,” Rayleigh chuckles,

“Millo, doesn’t count”

The toothed cat lets out a small indignant yowl at his comment, Reader reacting similarly with an offended gasp

Rayleigh scoffed at the cat's reaction, finding it amusing.

“There, there, Millo, you'll live.” Shakky Laughs.

“You're lucky you're adorable, isn't that right?” he said, looking at the cat.

“You're being mean to Millo Grandpa!”

“Now, Now both of you know I didn’t mean it like that,” Rayleigh says with a frown,

“but you need to understand it makes your gramps and gran worry, alright? You're our treasure, you know?”

“Im sorry,”

Shakky smiles, opening her arms for Rayleigh to pass them to her, he smiles obliging her silent request

“Come here” she says taking a hold of them

“We’re not mad, As we said, you are really important, and we simply worry, there are dangerous and gross people not far from here.”

“I just wanted to explore a little, but I didn’t mean to go far. “

Rayleigh scoffs and pulls the child into his arms, planting several kisses upon their cheek,

“It's fine... Just let me know next time where you are exploring; I know you're more than capable on your own, but still, I'd like to have an idea of where to look for you."

“Oke”

“Now that we got that out of the way, what were you doing that got you covered in dirt?”

They shuffle in their grandmother's arms, digging something from their small backpack

“I was getting you guys flowers!” They exclaim, pulling said plants out and handing two roughly arrays of flowers

Rayleigh’s face breaks out into a smile,

“For Us, you brought us flowers?”

They nod excitedly handing them the mix-match bouquet of flowers

The elderly couple exchange a look before embracing the child, who is now buried within the confines of their affection.

What do we think? Originally I thought it was missing something but I re-read it and I really like it, what are our thoughts? Im going to try the Dokusha reader for a test run, btw it’s about a certain lazy ice lord 👀. Im editing it right now maybe even a second part today if yall like it?
