IN/SPECTRE: l’anime tornerà dall’8 gennaio, ecco il nuovo trailer della seconda stagione

I primi 12 episodi della serie sono già disponibili sottotitolati in streaming su Crunchyroll.

Inizialmente il ritorno di “IN/SPECTRE” (in originale Kyokou Suiri e conosciuto anche come Invented Inference) era previsto per questo autunno, ma c’è da dire che non c’è comunque molto da aspettare per la seconda stagione.

Il nuovo trailer della serie animata, tratta dal manga scritto da Kyou Shirodaira (Blast of Tempest) e illustrato da Chashiba Katase, conferma infatti il debutto dei nuovi episodi per l’8 gennaio 2023, che qua in Italia potremo seguire ancora una volta in contemporanea, grazie a Crunchyroll.

La prima stagione di 12 episodi, diretta da Keiji Gotoh (Enride, Kiddy GiRL-AND) presso lo studio BRAIN’S BASE (To Your Eternity, Golden Kamuy Season 4), è stata trasmessa durante l’inverno 2019 ed è già disponibile in streaming su Crunchyroll, sottotitolata in italiano.

La diciassettenne Kotoko si trova in una situazione particolare. Quando era piccola è stata rapita dagli spiriti chiamati yōkai ed è tornata senza una gamba e un occhio. Ha da allora la capacità di comunicare con gli esseri dell'oltretomba, sia positivi che pericolosi. Kotoko è sola in questo mondo finché Kurō, il ragazzo per cui ha una cotta e che guarda da lontano, incontra uno yōkai! Come se essere toccato dal sovrannaturale non fosse abbastanza, anche la vita del ragazzo è un disastro.

Il manga, che mescola romanticismo, mistery e soprannaturale, viene pubblicato su Shonen Magazine R dal 2015 e ad ora conta 18 volumi, attualmente in vendita.

Il fumetto si basa sull’originale romanzo pubblicato nel 2011 da Shirodaira ed è la prima opera serializzata per Katase.

L’adattamento targato Brain’s Base del manga di Kyou Shirodaira e Chashiba Katase tornerà in tv l’anno prossimo.

Confermata l’anno scorso, sempre in quel di novembre, la seconda stagione di “In/Spectre” (in originale Kyokou Suiri e conosciuto anche come Invented Inference) ha finalmente un periodo di debutto, seppur s parli ancora di un generico 2022.

Per ingannare l’attesa, il canale ufficiale della serie animata, tratta dal manga scritto da Kyou Shirodaira (Blast of Tempest) e disegnato da Chashiba Katase, ha diffuso un breve teaser trailer che trovate qua di seguito.

Kyou Shirodaira's manga series "Kyokou Suiri" (In/Spectre) will be receiving a TV anime adaptation.

-Synopsis-

“At the young age of 11, Kotoko Iwanaga was abducted by youkai for two weeks and asked to become their "God of Wisdom," a mediator between the spirit and human worlds, to which the girl quickly agreed but at the cost of her right eye and left leg. Now, six years later, whenever youkai wish for their problems to be solved, they make their way to Kotoko for consultation. Meanwhile, Kurou Sakuragawa, a 22-year-old university student, has just broken up with his girlfriend after he fled alone when the two encountered a kappa. Seeing this as her chance to become closer with him, Kotoko immediately makes her move, hoping to get married to Kurou one day. However, she quickly realizes there is something more to Kurou. With this knowledge, she asks for his help in solving the various issues presented by the supernatural, all the while wishing her newfound partner will eventually reciprocate her feelings.“

How many of my followers are familiar with Spiral (bonds of reasoning/suiri no kizuna and the prequel, Spiral Alive)?  The only reason I’m not still active in the fandom is that there’s no one there.  About 10-11 years ago, I imported the entire manga series that was released because it wasn’t available in English. I remember seeing posts before that of the last few volumes coming out, and the translation confusions, the scanlations, the tears... We were scared we’d never see it in English, so when Yen Press picked it up as one of their first translations to release, everyone was THRILLED. Some of the content was intense (murder mystery) but drawn very cutely. The earlier volumes are a little rough, but the art improves along the way. That style is distinct and recognizable to me, now. Eita Mizuno and Kyou Shirodaira have since worked together on a second manga, but I don’t remember the name. Eita Mizuno has been posting about another one, too, that he’s been drawing. It also has guns and... Well, I don’t know Japanese but I can’t help shipping these two girls anyway?  Anyway, the point being: I love Spiral. No fandom maybe owns my ass more than Spiral.  

My brother gave me his DVDs plus I have the box set, even though the anime is badly drawn and rather rushed, and it absolutely destroys the characterization of Kanone. :/ And yeah, I have two sets of the manga. Some Shounen GanGan imports. There’s a poster from Spiral Alive on my the back of my bedroom door, and honestly, it might be one of the first things I hang up on my door when I’m able to.  Allow me to scream that there’s a third artbook out there that I have yet to get my greedy paws on. :( This series probably wouldn’t be approved by a lot of people for content reasons. Don’t expect anything ~pure~ here. My favorite character is a twisted son of a ballsack and I love him. (Incidentally, I also hate him for what he does, see how that works?) Actually, I’m hard-pressed to think of a character I don’t particularly like, because the characters are complex and interesting in ways that I enjoy exploring. And when I mention I love my “murder children” you can fucking bet that I’m not kidding about the murdering and the children parts being together. I’d say “they’re teenagers in this” but some of them were definitely killing before that. Most of them out of survival, with a few who’ve... Well, that’d spoil the story.  A story that gets quite dark at times, despite its endearing art style. I’ve met some friends I’ve known for roughly a decade through this series. I’ve talked maybe a whole three people into reading it during my entire fandom existence (which clarifies just how little pull I have in convincing anyone to check out something I like haha).  So excuse me while I lie down and revisit every old fandom ever, since Star Ocean 3 re-released on PS4, Kingdom Hearts is coming back into my life, I’ve gotten back into Final Fantasy... *lies down*
