We are now entering The Grandiose Emerald City Territory.

I couldn't be happier seeing this come to life, and being able to immerse ourselves to the beautiful world of Oz. Everyone around the globe now has a chance to see this gorgeous masterpiece around the globe without waiting for a tour. This would definitely reach every corner of the world and I cant wait to welcome them to the stories of unlikely of stories ever told, by creatures, foes, lovers, and friends...best friends.

I cant wait to welcome Elphaba and Glinda back to my hearts and will stay with this Act 1 of this film. And I know for sure that I will ready my wand and broom for its Act 2.

Writing Tips: Understanding Beats, Showing, Telling, Pacing, And Their Relationships

Beat:

A unit of action, emotion, or pause within a scene, where something significant happens, a character reacts, or a shift occurs. 

Beats are the building blocks that shape the overall flow of a story.

Beats consist of narration that are usually either showing or telling.

Showing (Dramatization):

Presenting details, emotions, thoughts, and sensations to allow readers to experience the story.

Slows down the narrative by immersing readers in vivid, descriptive scenes.

Example: Instead of stating a character is sad, describe their trembling lip, tear-filled eyes, and a heavy sigh.

Telling (Summary):

Conveying information efficiently, summarizing events or details.

Speeds up the narrative by providing quick, concise information.

Example: Stating a character's emotional state directly, such as "She felt joy."

Pacing:

The rhythm at which a story unfolds. 

Effective pacing involves a strategic combination of showing and telling.

Alternating between high action low emotion beats and high emotion low action beats creates a dynamic pace, prevents monotony.

Celebration of the horse, more like celebration of the PONY!

Luna had an absolutely fantastic show weekend! Getting reserve champion in the .60m, Two clear rounds in the .70m and a 1st and a 2nd in her dressage classes, training level 2 (65.7) and training level 3 (63.5). What a perfect pony!

I had so much fun and I’m so proud of myself and of my pony!

And it went infintely better than our show last weekend which mostly went like this.

But horse showing is just really hard sometimes and it’s so easy to stress yourself out about it and ride poorly and then it spirals from there. But there were still some good jumps from last weekend and some great pictures and I’ve never had nice jump pictures of me before so getting some really good pictures was a really silver lining to my disaster of a horse show.

I’m also super glad I started in the .60s this weekend. The additional margin for clearing the jumps just really helped build mine and Luna’s confidence. And then we were able to (finally) go clear in the .70s! And yes there were still some of awkward jumps in there but there were also some really lovely ones and best all I actually had fun! Like found myself just grinning from ear to ear going around the course having a blast. I’ve never had so much fun at a horse show. Even on my old unicorn lease Sergio who would go clear at .70s as long as you mostly steered him at the jump, I never had so much fun. Partly thats just going to going to enough shows now that I’m not just entirely panicked the whole time (only mostly panicked) but also my pony is just really fun to ride. Like even if it’s harder to go clear on her than it might be on a bigger scoopier horse, she’s just more fun to ride. And honestly I think the jumps feel more fun because she is smaller and I get to feel more of the round big jump without actually having to jump big things. I just love her and I’m so glad she’s my pony.

We even got a prize (the purple horse socks) for getting a first place in the .60ms, and got to do a victory gallop for getting second the .60 class which was so fun.
