Baby fever
Chigiri Hyoma
request
Tumblr media
Tears glossed the eyes of your mother as she gave you one last hug. Her arms wrapped so tightly around you that you felt like you’d asphyxiate any moment now.
“Mom, we’ll only be gone for two weeks.” You let out a breathy laugh as she finally released you from her grasp.
Looking to your side, Hyoma’s sister was ruffling his hair playfully as the two of them laughed together. His mother tapped his shoulder, signalling for him to lean in closer. As she whispered into his ear, you noticed a rosy hue spread across his cheeks. He gripped the handle of his suitcase defensively as she broke out into laughter. Checking the time on your phone, you sighed. “We’re going to have to get going now.” You said, turning to your parents with a smile.
Saying your goodbyes to his family, you gave his mother and sister a quick hug before the two of you took off into the departure gate. Unzipping your carryon, you prepared the passports for check-in. The two of you took your place in line and you turned to face him. “You’ve been pretty quiet since we left. Do you miss your family already?” You joked, elbowing him gently. Once again, you noticed a look of embarrassment wash over his face.
“…Yep.” He muttered, turning his gaze away from yours.
After the whole security checks process was over, you had finally reached the terminal that the plane would be departing from. The two of you took a brief moment to rest before checking out the various shops and grabbing something quick to eat. And before you knew it, as you were chewing the last bite of your meal, the PA system announced your flight by number, notifying the terminal that they were now boarding. You scrambled to the line as the prepared the tickets.
As you took your seat on the plane, you exhaled a sigh of relief.
“You’re always so stressed about these things, you know?” He chuckled, sliding your suitcases into the overhead storage before taking the seat next to you.
“I can’t help it, it’s our first time on a trip together.” Dipping your head onto his shoulder, you noticed the way he uncharacteristically fidgeted with his fingers.
“Yeah…”
Just then, a thought crossed your mind. Ever since the two of you announced that you’d be going on a honeymoon close to a month ago, your parents had been hinting at the idea of having a grandchild in various ways. Re-gifting you your old baby clothes, dropping hints for baby names, even jokes about who a prospective child might look more like.
Just as your face began to feel warmer than a few seconds ago, the plane began to take off, distracting you from your earlier thoughts. Your hand gripped his tightly as you glued your eyes shut.
The flight left you feeling nauseous and homesick. He laughed at your expression as the two of you stepped off the plane together. “You’re seriously that taken aback by a flight?”
“I don’t regularly go overseas for soccer games, so yes.” You groaned as he offered to hold your suitcase for you. Though, stepping foot onto Italy - an unfamiliar destination -  warranted a heap of differences in culture, environment and weather. So, the two of you would need to navigate it together.
So, over the next few days, you both spent barely any time in the hotel, using it as somewhat of a storage destination after days of shopping and sightseeing. You visited various landmarks, trying a ton of different foods and desserts, and sadly, falling into many tourist traps.
On the weekend of your first week, the amount of activities you both had planned began to dwindle. It seemed like as excited as you both were to visit new places, it would end before your time here came to a close so the two of you needed to use one of your days to research online and plan a few more things. Take reservations at restaurants, watch a couple soccer matches (courtesy of Hyoma) and visit a few more sites.
Returning to the hotel room after a long day out, you dropped various shopping bags onto the ground before slumping onto the bed, your body limp.
“…Do we even have anymore money left?” You wondered aloud.
“Don’t worry, we’ve still got more than enough.” Folding his coat, he placed it on the table in the middle of the room before taking a seat on the edge of the bed next to you.
His gaze softened, his lips upturned into a warm smile. You couldn’t help but reciprocate his smile, carried by a light chuckle “What?”
His hand moved to brush a piece of hair away from your face. Suddenly, you found yourself gazing upwards at him. His face was directly over yours and each of his hands were placed beside your head, propping him up.
“Hyoma..?”
Despite his typical confidence, a rush of red painted his face this time. It looked as though you’d be able to feel the warmth if you cupped his cheek. And you did; the feeling rushed throughout your entire body and now you were burning up as well. His gaze was scattered, failing to meet your eyes, and your chest rapidly rose and fell with each hitched breath.
Gripping the collar of his shirt, he exhaled deeply, slumping over next to you. His head rested on your stomach as he fanned his face with his hand.
You let out a breathy laugh, the shakiness in your voice still apparent.
“Shut up…” He retorted, his voice carrying the same emotion as yours.

Transformers All-sparks: Cybertronian Military
Tumblr media
Introducing Cybertronian Military folk, from Triple Changers to the Chief Justiciary. Triple Changers were Senator Shockwave's greatest achievement prior to his fall from grace. Recruits were picked from candidates of the military with T-cogs that (hopefully) could withstand the modifications required to have TWO alt modes instead of one. Triple Changers are rare. VERY rare, as the process was dangerous.
But the results were considered worth it, because they ended up creating some VERY formidable warriors.
Meanwhile, in terms of special forces, we introduce the Cybertronian Wreckers, warriors meant to be the spearhead of dangerous operations of extreme risk. Those who live long are considered some of the most dangerous warriors of Cybertron.
All the while, all members of the Military, when they do wrong or unlawful acts, become under the purview of one the most powerful judicial institutions in Cybertron, the Cybertronian Military Tribune, headed by "The Great Magnus".
Springer: Brimming with confidence and sarcasm galore, Springer is essentially the perfect Wrecker, with the skills to back it up. He's the Cybertronian Man of Action, and don't you forget it!
Strika: A heavy weapons Transformers and one of the meanest and no-nonsense warriors out there. If she thinks you are sup bar she WILL say it outright and in your face about it. Meanwhile, as a living artillery platform, she's good at her job and knows it.
Kup: Ancient. Kup is OLD. He's rough around the edgest and a tad bit ornery, but he has a lot of wisdom beneath the facade. Technically not active duty, but not retired either, he's officially "in reserver", ready to be called up whenever Cybertron needs him.
Ultra Magnus: The current Magnus, weilder of the Magnus hammer, and highest member of the military's justice system, it is through him that makes sure justice is given fairly and firmly. A powerful man with a personal hobby of designing and researching various armors. He can belt out a speech about laws, but otherwise quite stiff in casual conversation.
The Hounds: "Big Dog" Hound is an old war veteran who's seen the best of the best Cybertron has to offer, and some of the worst. Has a big Engex belly, and a plethora of weapons on his station, and knows how to use each and everyone of 'em. Used to be crass and rough around the edges, but mellowed down considerable after the creation of his son. "Little Dog" Hound is someone, whom at first glance, shouldn't be part of the Cybertronian military, for he much prefers sightseeing the natural world and tinkering with Holograms than fighting. He joined because, deep down, he feels like it's his duty, as with every Hound before him, but he's glad he could serve his OWN way. After all, hologram study are relatively non violent.
Blitzwing: The first successful triple changer, and a beast on the battlefield. Also an unbelievably unpleasant person on a personal level, likely to mock a bot's suffering and struggles when they're not "military material" enough.
Octane: Another triple changer, and by all means doesn't actually want to be there, but he was caught for theft and it was either serving the military or time in prison. Despite his might as a triple changer, he's VERY reluctant to get into dangerous situations.
Impactor: The legendary leader of the Wreckers, no mission too bold, no mission too dangerous, and if you give him a mission, his tenacity and resolve means he WILL get it done, no matter the cost. Springer's boss.

Glitch
Tumblr media
Just silly thought about my man. I actually enjoyed writing this one, hope you will have fun reading too. Inspired by T. S song Glitch. Friends to idiots to lovers (because I'm a sucker for this trope huehue)
--
When you meet the wit's ends of your mind, everything just feels blank and numb. When the most gruelsome scene are presented infront of you, no matter how you tried to move how your mind shouts run! Run! Run! But your body stays... and stays no matter how your whole system stays watching like there's some glitch.
"Run, y/n!" You heard your mom shouted before you felt her blood splashed on you. You never saw what happened, you just felt it. A hand covering your eyes, like trying to protect you from from image on how your parents died.
--
"Hello. Y/n, right?" The woman and a man sat infront of you, smiling brightly as if nothing gruesome happened just minutes ago.
The dark seems peaceful, the moon made a vast illumination. This countryside was peaceful, just cicada noises can be heard during the summer and cool breeze in the fall but not tonight.
You nod at them, their smile is bright and warm and your confused for a five-years old to understand how can that smile show.
They look young and old at the same time, the man messed your hair and genuinely smiled this time.
"You can cry." That feels like a trigger for you, how everything flashed back, how your parents struggled to protect you but failed. You cry on them, trying to find shelter and they let you.
After calming you, they looked at you. You think they're trying to communicate.
"Do you want to go with us?"
--
That's how your sorcerer journey started, for a young little miss at five you couldn't quite understand what this all mean but as time goes by this world is far different from how you used to be.
They trained you, from a normal person to someone who can imbue curse energy. You live your life as if your part of them since the beginning like you were born for this world.
--
Sitting alone in the corner of your classroom near the window, just sightseeing, your actually waiting for everyone. First day of high school and your alone in this big room.
Not when the door fly open, you crunched your nose watching who it might be.
"What?! No teacher?!" Before he can enter the room he just shouted. You just watch him curiously, who is this boy?
Tall, white hair with glasses on? He entered the room alone now noticing you from the far end of the room, your face immediately heat up when he caught you watching him.
He looks like an angel. Minus the mouth.
He's alone. You're alone. You're both alone in this big room.
"Yo, whatcha doin'?" He occasionally asked you, sitting next to the chair beside you.
"Nothing, actually." You closed your notebook, it's just scribbles because you're bored.
You looked at him, he got blue eyes!! Pretty blue eyes!!!
"Guess they're not coming, huh?" Is he trying to have conversation? For a quiet and reserved person like you its hard to come up with a good conversation but you think not with him.
"I guess so. It's first day."
"Why did you go still?" His voice is teasing. "Are you grade conscious or somethin'?"
"No!" Yes. Yes, you are. He laugh at your defensive reaction, he knew better. He's laugh is beautiful you noticed.
"And why you're still here too?" You diverted the attention.
" 'm just bored." Okay. Fair. So, you just nod.
You two shared silence, awkward silence. He's watching you which makes this all awkward.
"I'm Satoru Gojou. The great one."
You laugh at what he said. How can someone introduce like that?
"Hi, Satoru Gojou the great one. I'm y/n. The nothing. "
You know Satoru Gojou, of course but this is the first time you've seen him, you've pictured him out someone like arrogant and not like this.
"You know me, right?" You crunched your forehead and nod.
"Heard your name before." That's true though, you are busy in far corner of Japan to know every person.
"Right, want to grab some food?"
--
Your thoughts were cut off when Shoko patted your head and head out together with Suguru. They have some important mission to do.
Was that for sympathy? Suguru just messed with your hair.
"He'll grow up and don't wait for him." You wanted to pout at what he said, you know what he meant.
"What? I don't like him." You said as you removed his hand on you. It's nit like you proclaim something for them to say that.
"Suguru never said a name." Shoko chimed in and they snicker at you. You shoo them away, these two is your death every time. They're like your ticking bomb whenever Satoru is there watching your every reaction.
It's your second year, everything is going smooth. But, not your heart it's been beating abnormally, arrythmia? Heart disease? But Shoko called Satoru-rythmia, because it only occurs when Satoru's around.
You watched him from a far talking with girls on the school grounds, you squint your eyes all giggling you throw a disgusting look at them.
You kicked his ankle when your at his back. And he immediately turned around to looked at who is this someone behind him.
"Our training." You just said and left him there.
"Sorry, Y/n time!!" You heard him and you can hear him run towards you.
He's been like that, you assumedly thought you're special at some point but you're just really deluded maybe because from watching too much dramas or reading books. He's just like that for everyone. Accomodating. Friendly. And warm.
He lunge at your back when your guard is down, you shriek when you felled on your shoes because he's heavy.
"Satoru!" You both fell on the grass ground, Satoru hugging you while laughing at your demise. You sit beside his waist and slap his arm but his just laughing.
You stared at him, he's laughing blissfully. Hair was away from his forehead, some were on the ground. Is his hair soft? It looked so soft specially when he messed it up when he thinks deeply. He looked like a real angel this close.
Oh, there it is again.
Satoru-rythmia.
--
Happy crush? This was supposed to be just a happy crush for you. Satoru's oh Satoru Gojou what are you doing with me?
Sitting alone on the stair in the field just thinking deeply, this summer afternoon is kinda dragging the school's been busy with the Kyoto's School visit and you don't want to deal with them. You train yourself, Satoru's been mostly your aid but he's not around and you don't try to contact him so you can sort your feelings out.
Happy crush. Yeah. That is all.
Satoru's not the boyfriend type but if he tries you think he will be a great one. Caring, thoughtful and super sweet yet you can picture him to be so clingy not that you mind- you covered your face with your palms.
"No, no, no!" He's your bestfriend, what's wrong with you?
You jump off your seat trying to make a defensive stance when a cold thing touch your head.
"Scaredy-Peanut!!" Satoru laugh at you and removed the bag full of...ice cream? on your head.
"What is your problem?!" You glared at his tall figure standing beside you.
"Hmm...I should ask you that." He said sitting beside you. "What is your problem, y/n?" Your eyes meet, oh those beautiful blue eyes, your the first one to look away.
"Nothing for you to be concerned of... can I have ice cream?" You unashamedly ask. You stares at you before lifting the bag away.
"No."
"You're greedy, you know that?"
"Yes." He chuckled.
You watched him, he looks happy right now like something happened without you even knowing. He's not wearing any glasses, which concerns you.
"Toru, your eyes." You immediately covered it with your hands. There are many people in the school right now because kyoto people are here and the summer sun is shinning brightly that might strain him.
He's so close and you felt your heart coming out its ribcage.
"Hey... it's okay, I can handle it better." The concerned look you gave him just made you worry more.  He hold your wrist to remove your hands on his eyes.
"You sure?" You looked at him genuinely and he nod. You sag your shoulders in relief. And he messed with you hair.
"Yes, maam." He said jokingly. You pushed his shoulder and make face.
"Don't barged in my room when your head's aching." You made a hmp reaction and tear your gaze away from him.
"Here's your ice cream because I made my fave person in the world worry."
--
End of second year was when you go mission together without your teacher's supervision. There are just nights that are pure strolling and sightseeing.
Staring at the starry night of Kyoto, you and Satoru stand above the tallest building in the city, leaning on the railing you looked to watched the bustling city.
"This is beautiful, huh" you said while drinking you canned latte.
"Yeah, thank me y/n" you just shrug him off. Satoru's really the strongest and became more. You saw how he fought curses and it amazed you the first time. And his showing off everytime would boast about how great he is.
But, he's dreadfully quiet right now so you moved closer to touch his arm with you. Although your heart is not helping you but you think he had some problems.
"You okay?" You asked when the silence dragged between both of you. This is unusual, you're both loud when you're together and... chaotic that it sometimes pissed of Shoko and Suguru they don't know what possessed you to be influenced by Satoru.
You looked him watching the city before he looked at you.
"Have... you ever kissed someone?" You blink once. Twice. Thrice. Before you snapped in your periphery.
"No." Your face warmed, hearts beating loudly. You laughed it out, you want to curse how your heart just doubled its pace more the abnormal one. "Why would you ask that? That's rude."
"We're friends, you know? It's not that rude. Well, I got mine."
"What?" You crunched your forehead on what he said. What he got? Trying to look at him in puzzle.
Satoru looked at you. You heard it, you know you heard it but your brain can't process it quickly.
"Uh... kiss? You remembered that girl from Kyoto?" Well, I am from Kyoto too. But not the downtown though. You want to say it, but settled for crumpling your skirt and looking away. You bit your lower lip trying not to cry infront of him.
"Y-you have a girlfriend now?" That's childish of you. Focus on the city or the stars, you can't cry infront of him.
"Nah doubt it, I just want the fun."
You're quiet. Satoru tried looking into your eyes but you refused to looked at him.
So, this is how it felt to be heart broken is it? You thought it will be loud, but yours is silent. Maybe, silence hides the loudest scream.
"Right. I'll just pee. I'll be back." You walked out without waiting for his response.
--
After that night, you tried hiding from him or whenever his around you go home you just tried everything to get away from him. It's a long 3 months for you and it's pointless because he is very persistent and annoying about it.
"Okay. Next mission, Gojou and y/n." You crossed your arm on your chest hearing what Yaga-sensei announced, you just looked infront not bothering to glance at your seatmate.
"Yes, Satoru?" Yaga-sensei said.
"Y/n don't want to be with me, sensei!" Satoru shouted and you heard Shoko and Suguru scoffed trying not to laugh. You glared at him and he just smiled widely at you with a raised hand.
"Is there a problem, y/n?" You closed your eyes and calmed your nerves.
"No."
"Did I do something wrong?" He's been following you like a dog all day and a broken record asking the same question. And he's been doing this in those months if his not away for a mission and it's so exhausting.
This is hard you think because he did not do something wrong, it's not his fault to not like you right? And as if you confessed? Not in a millionth time. It's not his responsibility to cradle your broken heart.
You're both walking in an empty path way in the school you're trying to get away from him again.
It's serene if Satoru's not loud. Autumn's coming, you walked on a blanket of falling leaves crisp and pretty.
Maybe, it's your fault for liking him in the first place and treating this way is just a evidence of how awful you are as a person and a friend.
You stop walking and face him. Satoru halted on your sudden pause. Just feet away. You want to memorize his face, his features, the way his hair sway when the wind gently blew it or how his smile can brighten up your any dull day. You want to memorize it all before you can make your resolve. You want to memorize everything that makes you feel this way towards him.
You close your eyes. And gently open it again and you met his beautiful ones.
"Satoru... Satoru Gojou, " you whispered like a prayer. He's name is divine on your lips. "I-I'll be back somehow just give me time, okay? And you did not do something wrong so don't worry." Your heart is aching, it's breaking you can feel it. You smiled at him and turned away as your tears fall as you walked away at him.
5 months after you finally convinced yourself that having feelings for Satoru is useless. And just be back to be his best friend.
--
Final year of high school when he's suddenly calling you glitch. It confuses you at first but you let him be because that's how he usually is calling you with different names everyday but this time its just consistent. And its bothering you somehow.
"Why are you calling me glitch, toru?" You ask after munching a spoon of pudding, you're just chilling in your favourite pastry shop along the secluded street of Tokyo, it was an innocent question.
"Hmm?" You watched him changed from one dessert to another, definitely so busy. "Because you're my lil glitch." He said without watching you because again he is busy.
You just frowned at him but never bother to push the topic further.
You think you have been successful on your resolve so far half a year have passed. Almost graduating. Satoru's been the same annoying and all.
"Is that delicious?" He stop your train of thoughts md pointed at your pudding. You pulled the pudding closer to you and looked at him accusingly.
"Yes."
"Gimme a bite."
"No."
"Please, my glitch y/n." There he go again.
"I want that cookie too." You pointed at the red velvet cookie.
"Just a bite?" You nod and he nod. And you feed him and exhanged your food.
--
You frowned when you received an email saying that you were called by the higher ups. Your hands were cold, looking at those elders are scary. What more opening the door in the chambers.
You crunched your head after that meeting are they threatening you?
"You know we can just ditch you if we want, right? In the first place you did not belong in this world."
You're helping Satoru in his pursuit of change and that threaten the higher ups and now they're digging your past and using it against you.
"My glitch!" You just walk not bothering to looked at Satoru, just thinking deeply.
You know what they mean, they can remove your privelege to be sorcerer but the fact that they said you did belong is quite a harsh comment.
Is that what a glitch mean?
You stop on your tracks and you faced Satoru. Who is smiling infront of you.
"Is that why you call me glitch?" You voice is accusatory which made Satoru's stance defensive. You scowled at him, unshed tears on your eyes.
You knew well he did not like you, but to make you feel unwanted is a different kind of hurt.
You held your feelings well enough, you hide it earnestly but being trashed out by someone you love is just piercing through your heart he can just say he don't want you, right?
"What? Hey, y/n..."
"Not now, Gojo. I'm tired."
You don't have time for funny business any time you'll be trumped by the higher ups. It's been months since that incident happen and you're not talking to Satoru ever since. You've been both busy to mind anything, he will just looked at you pleadingly and you will looked away. This has been your routine after Satoru asked you what's wrong that day. It's tiring and it's hard watching Satoru's beautiful eyes lost it's glimmer.
Satoru gave you time. Spring came and graduation day is coming. Have he done anything to upset you? He's been bugging Suguru and Shoko but both don't know either.
You were talking to one of your colleague, the one who accompanied you in one of the mission in far away tokyo, he's here to pick up tools that they might need for mission in care of Yaga. Tomorrow's graduation so your both excited talking about it.
You're both walking on the cherry blossoms carpeted pathways of Jujutsu Tech. Everything is just painted with colors of cherry blossom. The cold breeze with some petals with it is just beautiful.
"Y/n!"
You halted on your walk and looked at the man at your back. Your laugh stop and you scowled at him immediately. What now?
"Hey, you can just y straight up walk there and that's Yaga-sensei's office." You waved goodbye at Kyohei.
After Kyohei disappeared, you face Satoru once again with disinterest.
"What?" You asked when his nearing you.
"Who's that?" He asked seriously. You want to pinch his side when you noticed how his eyes is uncovered.
"Yaga-sensei's guest." You said dismissively, he stared at you. His eyes are just so pretty. You crunched your forehead. You can't just let this happen again and again.
"You can't just walk with bare eyes." You said nonchalantly and walk out.  You crossed your hands on your chest walking back to your dorm room. And just hide for the rest of the day.
"There's someone I need to put out my bandages on but been hiding from me." Satoru said now walking beside you. You stop and scowl at him and noticed his wearing his very dark shade right now. You just hmp! Him and walk again.
"Maybe, she's angry again or something?" He just kept on rambling and you just make face everytime. You don't know but the walk way towards the dorms seems to stretch more. It feels so long and distant. The more you walk stepping the sakura petals makes your heart flutter more.
"I kind of missed her, by the way." You can feel the smile on his face. And your heart ache, it's like he meant it in a romantic way. But you know he just missed her bestfriend.
"It's been months how can she endure not to talk to me for that long, huh? I can't even sleep properly when she's away fighting curses? Bet, she's happy being away from me." His monologue continue.
You stop your tracks, what does he meant by that? You've been miserable all of those times! And he stopped too. You side eyed him but shrugged him off.
"I don't even know what I did wrong, did I? And I might be out for a long time and still she's not talking. I might be gone tomorrow and-"
You completely stop walking to face him. He is smiling, that annoying smile, that annoying eyes, that annoying face! You scowled at him.
"What did you say?" He raised a brow feeling triumphant that he finally got your attention.
"I might be away?"
"Yes. What was that?" You inquired curiously. You did not know that!
"Secret Mission." You just raised a brow at him. Okay. That's completely out of you. Sometimes, Satoru or most of the time Satoru is given highly confidential missions and you don't pry any further, that's just how he is.
"How long?"
"A month." You just nod and walk back. You heard Satoru sighed after a while.
"and you don't still talk to me? I don't want any more distance with us." He grabbed you by your hand. You just looked at him. "You can't be unfair to me, I don't even know what I did wrong or the last one. At least talk to me, I can't be on the shade forever." He said pleading.
"I'm a glitch. How can you be so invested with a glitch." You watch how his face contorts in confusion.
"What?"
"Is that it Gojo? I am a glitch in this world, right?" He knew everything about your background how can he used it against you?
"What are you saying, y/n?"
"I'm a glitch in the system, right? I don't belong here, everyone think I don't belong here." Your angry tears are making you blur your vision. "You called me a glitch like that old man said in the meeting! You can just trash me out-"
But, Satoru laugh and you just cried more. What is his problem? Insulting you with his laugh.
He suddenly pulled you in a hug that stiffened you. You held you breath.
"You are so mean!" You slap his chest and cried more.
" 'm sorry!" He encircled you with his arms for a hug.
Placing both hands on your shoulder when you calmed down. He watched you sniffing. And smiled fondly of you. Using his thumbs to wipe your tears away.
"Your smart brain is really playing with you. Don't you think?" You scowled with unshed tears.
"You know why you're my glitch?" You pouted what is this all about now?
"Gojou, I'm not fond of your funny business right now."
"Please, ask me!"
You sighed. Defeated. Tired.
"Why?"
"Because, you are a glitch in my system." You frowned. "It was supposed to be just a happy crush y/n, what are you doing to me?"
He whispered the last sentences that your heart beat rapidly. There is it again. Satoru-rythmia. It's back. Eyes wide looking at him. Realizing everything.
He pulled you again for a hug. Soothing. Healing. He whispered softly.
"Yes, that's what it mean, love. So, you're a glitch y/n. My glitch."

.☽༊˚ january writing; an older woman
bobby x reader
feat. lioness!reader, age gap, dash of hurt/comfort, fluff
Tumblr media
As much as you’ve enjoyed New York on your previous visits, after this particular one you’re not sure you’ll ever be able to face the city again.
Dread and fear curdle sourly in the pit of your stomach alongside the half-cup of coffee and two paracetamol that surmised your breakfast. There’s an inescapable chill in the midmorning air that slips under the stiff collar of your new coat that eats at you no matter how tight you pull it around yourself. Not that you’ve ever had the money for brands like this before, but now their uselessness will forever be cemented in your brain.
The stupid tourist scarf around your neck doesn’t help - it only makes you feel stupid on top of cold. But Joe’s instructions were firm as they are in the field, and she wants the digital trail you and Bobby are out here to lay down to be flawlessly believable ahead of first contact, so it’s time to flesh out your sweet Northeastern student alias as much as you can.
She - your mark, the prized little sister of an emerging arms dealer trafficking illegal weapons by the tonne throughout the Levant - is due to fly into LaGuardia later in the week, no doubt swarmed in bodyguards, at her brother’s behest. You know from Agency intel that she has a reservation at a posh Manhattan café later in the week, so the plan is to let Tex loose on their booking systems and erase the data as she arrives. Shepherded by Randy and Tucker, you’ll arrive just after her and be affected by the same problem - at which point, you’re counting on her rumored social disposition and your manufactured sweetness that she’ll take you up on your offer of company to find somewhere else.
Now, on a cold street corner draped in tourist garb, your and Bobby’s mission for the morning is to craft a social media profile befitting of such company. She’d almost been more repulsed at the idea than you, but it ended up winning out over spending another day in those accursed hotel rooms looking over data and reports and waiting for the action to start. It hadn’t taken long for her to come around to it, though - quite enjoying your frustration at being made to pose and preen for Instagram highlights and posts that are meant for an audience of squarely one - but after probably the twelfth peace-sign pose on a street corner, your disposition slips noticeably.
“Sweeten up, sunshine.” Bobby chides over the bustle of citygoers all around, in a gratingly upbeat tone that’s not without an air of sternness to it. Behind her gold-rimmed sunglasses, you can spy the endearing furrow of her brow as she takes a couple more pictures. “This won’t be so believable if you look like you’re here at gunpoint.”
Your scowl only makes her laugh. Pulling the cheap scarf loose, you smack it against her chest in a ball as you fall in step and meander down the sidewalk.
“Yeah, because it’ll be my looking a little green that gives us away and not a fucking college student having no-one to go sightseeing with but a woman twice her age.” You spit, charged with more vitriol than you’d meant. The cover, the insertion, the lack of time to prepare - it all has you in knots, shrouding everything in a haze of fear and disdain. Bobby, though probably best prepared to deal with your spite, is the one least deserving of it.
“So now that’s a problem, huh?” She muses, idly folding the red-and-blue fabric over itself in skilful hands as you walk. Shooting you a sideways glance, she shrugs and quietly delights in the heat that rushes to your cheeks. “First time I’m hearing of it.”
“No, it- “ Your voice catches in your throat, guilt flushing through you and over your anxieties despite the obvious humour in her voice. She guides you by a strong hand on the small of your back to the mouth of a quiet alleyway, as you fumble for words that refuse to come. “Bobby, I- “
“I know. Breathe.” Her serious face seems to soften in the shadow of the building at your back, as her hand squeezes your arm tightly. You do as she says, doing your best to slow your breathing and re-centre, as much as one can in such a raucous setting, to which she nods approvingly in a way you’ve often found yourself chasing. She pauses for a second then, as though contemplating whatever’s on her mind, and after a beat leans in and kisses your forehead.
The tenderness, though sends your heart hammering against your ribs in unbidden affection, shocks you almost into silence. You rejoin the footrack into another busy street, your hand tucked around her arm to keep her close to you amidst the throngs of people.
“Twice your age my ass.” She scoffs after a minute, a notion of disbelief written into her face. Your quiet laugh isn’t very appreciated, but she only rolls her eyes at you. “Pushing it, but not that fuckin’ far.”
“Whatever you have to tell yourself.” You murmur against her shoulder, scrubbing your thumb in slow circles over the contours of her bicep before kissing her shoulder with a subdued smile.

Where do Peach and Mario go for their honeymoon?
I'm guessing Isle Delfino, with less worry of Mario being arrested 🤭
I feel like he'd have some Reservations about going back to Isle Delfino, honestly. I mean, look how easily they they locked him up, ran him through a kangaroo court (and overruled the objections of a literal monarch), and slapped him with a criminal conviction over the actions of someone (or something) that looked like him but clearly wasn't him. It all worked out in the end, and they ended up having a good vacation after all that mess got sorted out! But Mario can't help but worry that, if he goes back, they'll just as easily find something else to pin him with. Overall terrible justice system, 0/10 would not recommend.
So! I imagine Peach rents them a little private island off the coast of Bubblaine. It's got a little bit of everything: a beach house, some shady palm trees, a pier that branches off into a few cozy palapas and tiki huts with tables for a seaside lunch or furniture for some seaside relaxation (and one with a bed enclosed in sheer, fluttery curtains for some seaside lovemaking in the night breeze). There's also a pipe that will take them to the mainland so they can go sightseeing and mingle with locals and fellow tourists at their leisure.
It's a full week of solitude (with the chance for socialization as they see fit) in their own little private paradise. They heavily consider staying an extra week, but there's so much preparation that needs done for their upcoming coronation, and given just how many people are involved in those preparations, it would be selfish to hold them up or rush them for the sake of a bit more personal fun. Knowing what awaits them at the end of their honeymoon just makes leaving that much harder.

Under appreciated scenario: sick while abroad
Are they alone, in a country with a different language? Different culture? A different measuring system because they wanted to be special and use Fahrenheit?
Or are they there with a partner ? Or friends? Do they realize?
Why are they there? Work? Sightseeing? A romantic getaway? Do they try to power through it and do what they came here to do? How does that work out?
Why are they sick? Was it the weather? Maybe the stress of the trip? just terrible luck?
Do they become homesick? Afraid? Just very annoyed?
Plus so many things that could go wrong! They forgot to pack something important , or have to navigate an airport while sick, or there was a problem with their reservation! So many possibilities!

A Jewellery campaign photographed on assignment from earlier this year which involved the Brand Vidyuta from Jaipur using authentic Indigenous Women from the Protected & Vulnerable Dongria Kanda tribe in the Niyamgiri hills in #Odisha
The project involved scouting the #indigenous women in Southern Odisha, some from Naxal geographies, during Peak Christmas and New Years in 2023. The scouting involved travelling over 3,500 kms from Bhubaneswar over 12 days supported locally by Chitr Sanstha (www.chitr.org) as part of their Odisha outreach program, where food distribution was also carried out in over 30 villages that the 5 member team visited.
With support from tribal authorities and councils, district administration and state authorities in Odisha, the #Indigenous women along with family members and tribal authorities travelled to Jaipur for the photo shoot and experienced sightseeing, shopping in the Culturally rich Jaipur. Most were travelling outside their district for the first time enabling the members of the tribe to have a lived experience of Rajasthan culture, urban life and bespoke handcrafted #jewellery firsthand.
Vidyuta is a Neo-ethnic #luxury jewelry brand that is bespoke and handcrafted, making each piece unique.
Since these images were for outdoors and Premium Jewellery exhibitions primarily that have been carried out in London, Dubai & #Delhi earlier this year, these were photographed with a 100 mp Medium format system by #Fujifilm, photographed over 2 days on the outskirts of Jaipur.
The background was sets made in the way the #DongriyaKanda tribe decorate their mud huts by Burning Rubber Tyre and painting this paste on mud walls. Certain Traditional cultural clothing motifs very unique to the Dongriya Kanda were adopted and embroidered in the blouses and certain jewelry pieces.

Major General Robert “Bob” Behler
The General entered the Air Force in 1972 as a distinguished graduate of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the College of Engineering. He is a command pilot with over 5,000 flying hours in 65 aircraft types, including the SR-71 and U-2. He has impeccable credentials as a former fighter pilot, test pilot, engineer and most importantly, a former SR 71 pilot. Bob puts a little things into the book that no one else would really know such as, “I’m down to my last shot of.”TEB” and using Blackbird diplomacy as a distraction.(sonic booms)
General Behler helped with the information in the recently released fictional book Tom Clancy “Weapons Grade” by Don Bentley.
I was excited while reading this book because the SR-71 is back in the air. Flying! Just as good as new. There are some computerized adjustments to the SR-71 backseat. The pilot’s cockpit remains analog. A difference is a table with a computerized tablet in the Pilots cockpit so that Bob can see what his backseater Charlie, is also seeing.
Charlie is not one of the Air Force esteemed former RSO’s’ but instead a mechanical engineering, computer whiz in his 20s who considers Bob a fossil..
They do bridge the generation gap together after one disaster after another happens at the speed of 2000 +miles an hour in the SR-71 this happens, when Bob (Snake) gives Charlie his handle( Cowboy).
Bob and Charlie are flying in formation with the Convair an unmanned aerial aircraft that can fly hypersonicy. A quote from the book”Tom Clancy Weapons Grade” by Don Bentley “The Habu’s air speed record has finally been broken. It was broken by the Corvair….We’re at Mach four and climbing to Mach five.” Bob was just fine with flying the Habu the way he had 30 years ago but as much as he wanted to pretend otherwise, Bob had become quite enamored with the tablet that displayed the imagery that Charlie was collecting. Why is the SR 71 Blackbird back in the sky? The SR-71 is flying chase after the Convair UCAV. Who else could try keep up with them?
This time around the Blackbird SR-71 is not the celebrity. That honor belong to the sleek black form that just shattered the air breathing speed record that stood for 50 years. However, ‘’That no man or woman will ever be, sitting in the cockpits to hear the thundering engines that drove the vehicle to the ragged edge of speed. This fact diminishes the glory. Because the Convair had no cockpits. Bob knew that he was lucky to be standing in this hangar with the Habu This beauty came together with slide rules, and number two pencils. As the story continues Colonel Buehler receives a phone call from the White House asking his opinion of the UCAV.( Unmanned combat aerial vehicle). The weapons system that the Corvar was trying to become would fill a new role in America’s arsenal. The President of the United States of America decides that he wants Bob to suit up and fly the Habu on one more mission. i’m not going to give away what happens next but I will give you an example of how beautifully Don Bentley writes.” Although the Blackbirds thick windows didn’t make for a great sightseeing Bob was only 200 feet from the Convair had no problem picking out its distinct shape. The UCAV Resembled nothing so much as an ethereal spirit,an ink blot rendered across a canvas of blue. Though he could see no difference in the vehicles flight profile as the onboard computer assumed control the aircraft felt different to Bob with live munitions and no human in the loop Convair seemed like an attack dog who’s leash had just been on unclipped”
I certainly enjoyed the book but please remember this is fiction. There are no SR- 71s flying anywhere. Perhaps in the future, though we may see a movie that re-create some of the magic that we all remember in the SR -71.

amsterdam, netherlands
you know when you get to a new place, one that you've google mapped thoroughly and where you've managed to convince yourself that you can walk everywhere? "25 mins from the hotel to restaurant? not bad! i'll just sightsee on the way!" well after day 2, and some very sore legs, i gave up on the that idea. i surprised myself by figuring out the local transit system - even if it was mostly borne out of necessity. old cities have my heart because of all the rich history encased within the walls of gorgeous old buildings, uneven cobblestones that many have walked on, and the otherworldly charm in the air that you can't quite put your finger on.
i can have a slightly addictive personality when it comes to collecting, so you can imagine how things unfolded when i discovered this series called amsterdam streets (https://www.amsterdamstreets.nl/en). cute miniature handmade and handpainted houses based on actual buildings in amsterdam that you can line up next to each other? i need all of them. if you put a bunch side by side, you've got a street. if you collect enough, you could have the whole city! cue rabid trekking to at least 8 different souvenir shops in search of these.

Discover Trivandrum with Ease: Why Taxi Service Trivandrum Is Your Best Travel Companion
Traveling through Kerala’s capital city, Thiruvananthapuram—commonly known as Trivandrum—can be a deeply rewarding experience. With its blend of modern cityscapes, royal heritage, spiritual landmarks, and coastal charm, Trivandrum is a destination that appeals to every kind of traveler. But to truly enjoy what the city offers, seamless transportation is essential. That's where taxi service trivandrum comes into play—providing comfort, reliability, and accessibility whether you’re a tourist, business traveler, or local resident.
From navigating the bustling markets of Chalai to catching a peaceful sunset at Kovalam Beach, having dependable transportation can make or break your experience. With taxi services readily available around the clock, Trivandrum ensures that your journey—whether short or long—is smooth, timely, and stress-free.
Why Choose Taxi Services in Trivandrum?
1. Convenience and Accessibility
Whether you’re landing at Trivandrum International Airport in the middle of the night or need to attend a last-minute meeting at Technopark, taxis are just a call or click away. With numerous providers offering mobile apps, online booking, and phone reservations, you’re never far from your next ride.
2. Local Expertise
Unlike out-of-town drivers or self-drive options, taxi drivers in Trivandrum usually have a deep knowledge of the local geography. This means faster routes, better navigation through traffic, and often helpful tips on eateries, landmarks, and lesser-known attractions. They know where to avoid congestion and how to get you where you need to be with minimum fuss.
3. Comfort and Cleanliness
Modern taxi fleets in Trivandrum often include well-maintained vehicles with air conditioning, clean interiors, and ample boot space for luggage. After a long flight or a hot day sightseeing, sinking into a clean, cool taxi can be a small but satisfying luxury.
4. Safe and Reliable
Safety is a major concern for travelers, especially solo tourists and those new to the city. Reputable taxi services offer verified drivers, GPS tracking, and 24/7 customer support. Most taxis are also equipped with emergency alert systems, ensuring peace of mind during every ride.
Common Use Cases for Taxi Service in Trivandrum
1. Airport Pickups and Drops
The airport is located about 6 km from the city center and 15 km from Technopark. Taxi services provide quick, hassle-free transfers to and from the airport. Many services even offer meet-and-greet options at the terminal.
2. Local Sightseeing
Popular sites like Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Napier Museum, Shangumugham Beach, and the Zoo are scattered across the city. Booking a taxi for a half-day or full-day sightseeing tour gives you flexibility and comfort throughout your exploration.
3. Business Commutes
Trivandrum is a growing IT and government hub, attracting professionals from across the country. Taxi services ensure timely and professional commutes, especially for business travelers who need reliability over spontaneity.
4. Medical Visits
The city is home to major hospitals like Sree Chitra, KIMS, and Medical College Hospital. Taxi services offer timely pickups and drops for appointments, emergencies, or patient transfers, often with wheelchair-accessible options upon request.
5. Outstation Travel
Planning a quick getaway to Ponmudi, Varkala, or Kanyakumari? Most taxi service providers in Trivandrum offer outstation packages with fixed pricing, experienced drivers, and round-trip service options.
Choosing the Right Taxi Provider
When it comes to selecting a taxi service trivandrum, here are some factors to consider:
✅ Transparent Pricing
Ensure the service provides upfront pricing with no hidden fees. Good taxi providers show fare estimates before confirming a booking, and offer billing summaries post-trip.
✅ Variety of Vehicles
From compact sedans for solo rides to SUVs and tempo travellers for groups, a quality service should offer different vehicle options to suit every travel need.
✅ Driver Ratings and Reviews
Check platforms like Google or app-based providers for driver ratings and customer reviews. A well-reviewed driver usually means a safer and more comfortable experience.
✅ Round-the-Clock Support
A dedicated customer support team available 24/7 can be vital in handling cancellations, emergencies, or route changes during odd hours.
✅ Sanitized and Safe Vehicles
Post-pandemic, many providers continue offering sanitized vehicles and hygiene-certified rides to prioritize passenger safety.
Tips for a Smooth Taxi Experience in Trivandrum
Book in Advance: During festivals like Onam or tourist seasons (December–January), demand can spike. Booking early helps lock in your ride.
Keep Small Change: While digital payments are accepted by most services, carrying small cash denominations is helpful, especially in more remote areas.
Share Your Location: When traveling alone or late at night, share your ride location with a trusted contact using GPS tracking available on most apps.
Confirm Fare and Route: If you’re using a non-metered taxi, agree on the fare and preferred route beforehand.

Taxis strike a great balance between cost, safety, flexibility, and convenience—ideal for most types of travelers.
When to Avoid Taxis
Although taxi services are reliable, they might not be the best fit in all situations:
If you're traveling a short distance during peak traffic, walking or autos may be faster.
Budget-conscious backpackers might prefer buses or shared rides.
For remote locations with poor mobile connectivity, taxis may be hard to book last-minute.
Final Thoughts
Trivandrum is a city that reveals itself best when explored freely, safely, and comfortably. While there are many ways to get around, using a taxi service trivandrum provides an unmatched level of ease and accessibility. Whether you’re headed to the beach, the boardroom, or the backwaters, a reliable taxi service ensures you arrive on time and without the stress.
As the city continues to grow and attract more tourists and professionals alike, dependable taxi services have become an essential part of urban life in Trivandrum. So the next time you’re planning a trip—be it for leisure, business, or family—consider booking a taxi to make your travel smooth, enjoyable, and memorable.

17 seater: ₹25–₹27 per km
20 seater: ₹28–₹30 per km
In addition to the per km rate, you may need to pay driver charges (₹500–₹800 per day), tolls, parking, and state tax if you’re going outstation. Some travel services offer fixed-day packages that may be more economical for local sightseeing or short day trips.
Always confirm the total fare in advance and ask for an all-inclusive quote to avoid any surprises during the journey.
