BoB Headcanon: Could They Fix A Broken Cabinet?

A/N: Here, pls enjoy another obscure headcanon set that Literally Nobody asked for lol. A big thank you to @mccall-muffin for encouraging me to post it lol 💖

✿ Dick Winters: Will not only fix your cabinet but also IMPROVE your cabinet. Enjoy your new soft-close, freshly-painted cabinet. 🤌🏽

✿ Lewis Nixon: Absolutely Not. Nix knows when he’s beat. He Was Not raised for this & he knows that. Will gladly call someone else to fix it though! 

✿ Carwood Lipton: Definitely could fix it (he has the knowledge & the skills) but doesn't trust himself to do it because he's afraid he'll mess it up (🥺) so he'll pay someone else to do it. 

✿ Ronald Speirs: He’ll fix it! Won’t make a big deal of it though. Honestly would probably not even tell you he’s fixed it; you just walk in one day & it’s Done & you’re like “When did you do that?” & he’s like “Oh like a week ago”.

✿ Harry Welsh: Bound & Determined to fix it if it kills him. He will read Every book, watch Every show, Welshy is a man on a mission 😂 He is going to be your knight in shining armor even if he has to toil away at it for days & ends up cussing the thing black + blue before it's complete.

✿ Buck Compton: Will give it the ol’ college try (lol) but no guarantees. Will do his reading but still ends up freestyling it. 😂 Definitely not above calling someone if his attempt goes awry tho lol

✿ Don Malarkey: Sort of? It may not be perfect– like the hinges will probably squeak when it opens & it might be a little crooked maybe – but he worked all day on it & it’s Technically fixed.

✿ Joe Liebgott: Is convinced that he can fix it but will actually just fuck it up even more & then duct tape over it. It might be functional but it Will Not be pretty. Probably accidentally hammered his thumb once. Pls appreciate his efforts tho, he is Trying.

✿ George Luz: Will fix your cabinet super well! It’s gonna be in tip-top shape… You’re just gonna have to remind him to do it tho lol bc he’s kind of all over the place! (Also he whistles while he works; it’s kind of adorable).

✿ Eugene Roe: I'd like to believe he could but my heart just says no. Lowkey, it would probably frustrate him all to hell bc he can perform life-saving medical feats in the heat of battle but he can't fix a goddamn cabinet?? He's gonna call someone to fix it for y'all but he's gonna be So pissed about it.

✿ Joe Toye: Can definitely fix it. Very handy around the house but his true expertise is in cars! He could be a mechanic if he really wanted to. King of explaining Why It Makes That Noise in simple terms that Make Sense 🤌🏼

✿ Bill Guarnere: He'll fix it but it won't be in the way you expect. He's the type of person to put a book under a table leg to steady it, that sort of thing. But he is WAY too stubborn to ask for help so don't expect him to call anybody who can actually do it. He'll INSIST on doing it himself– it's a matter of pride at this point.

✿ Skip Muck: No way, not a clue. Might try to fix it but gets distracted halfway through like a puppy & abandons the project forever lol.

✿ Bull Randleman: Oh absolutely he can. Man was practically raised with a toolbox in hand. He likes to do little things like that for you around the house because he likes to feel useful. 

✿ Shifty Powers: Definitely can. But like Speirs ^, won’t make a big deal out of it. He has immaculate focus, a steady hand, & seemingly limitless patience so he can fix pretty much anything.

✿ Babe Heffron: Purely a duct-tape-&-a-prayer man. "We don't gotta call anybody, I got it covered." No, Babe, you do not 😆

✿ Johnny Martin: Could probably fix it if he actually put his mind to it but doesn't want to. He simply Does Not Have The Patience. He gets frustrated one time & he's Done. Calls someone by the end of the first day 😂

✿ Frank Perconte: Doesn’t know how to fix it at the beginning but will try to figure it out. He may storm off a few times cussing the damn thing in frustration but he’ll get it done eventually.

✿ Floyd Talbert: Absolutely could. He + his brothers used to do all sorts of odd jobs & carpentry stuff back in Kokomo. 

✿ David Webster: Nope! Wants to fix it so badly but is absolutely Hopeless when it comes to any sort of home renovation. Despite some of the more stubborn guys on this list, Web's not ashamed about calling somebody to fix it. He just kind of figures, "Well someone has to do it" & it is Clearly not going to be him.

✿ Skinny Sisk: Please for the love of God, Do Not Let This Man Near A Hammer. 😭 He will joke around with it like a dumbass & will probably just accidentally hurt himself or someone else.

a/n: I made this pretty vague so you can imagine it however you like 😭 but for each persons I feel like it gets progressively longer. Anyways have fun reading!!

Dick winters: He would be so worried. His mind wouldn’t be on anything else at the moment other than your well-being. He feels like a bad boyfriend because he wasn’t there to protect you :( He gets so nervous and would try his best to be by your side the entire time that you’re getting well.

Lewis Nixon: He freaks out when he finds out that you got hurt. He rushes to wherever you are and demands to see you. When he does finally see you he’s so gentle and soft. He holds your hand and reminds you over and over again that he will always be there for you.

Carwood Lipton: He somehow feels like it’s his fault. There was nothing he could have possibly done to prevent it, but he feels like a crappy boyfriend for it, he apologizes to you multiple times. Because he thinks he should have been there for you.

Joe Toye:He gets so mad. He’s ready to go out and hunt whoever hurt you. He will honestly go out looking for a fight. When he sees you he gets even angrier though because who could do that to you? He’s hard on himself because he thinks he should have been there to protect you.

Joe Liebgott :When he hears that you got hurt he goes out to find you immediately. He doesn’t care if he gets in trouble or not, you are his first priority. He’s definitely pissed but would never show that you, mostly at himself and the person that got you hurt. But he makes sure not to make his feelings show and tend by your side.

Bill Guarnere: He would be completely irate, but instead of going out and trying to find the fucker that hurt you he would check to make sure you were okay and stable first. “I’ll get him doll. Don’t worry” He would most likely be irritable around the guys for the rest of the day or longer because of it.

George Luz: He’s so so worried. He can’t think about anything else but you. He would hope and pray that you’re okay until he can finally see you. When he does he holds your hand to his chest and rubs your hand softly. Telling you over and over again that everything will be okay.

Bull Randleman: He gets so protective. He would find you almost immediately and wouldn’t leave you out of his sight for a second. He’s so patient and caring while you’re in such a vulnerable state. “Trust me. I’ll never let someone do that to you again, darling. I promise.”

Floyd Talbert: He freaks out immediately, the tough guy act would be completely gone when he sees you get hurt. He doesn’t care about anything at the moment other than you and your safety. “It’s okay. I’m here. I’m not leaving.” He stays so close to you until you get better.

Eugene Roe: He gets there almost immediately and when he sees you he stops. He’s completely frozen for a second because he hates seeing you in such pain. “It’s gonna be okay, I promise.” He prays in his head the entire time while he fixes you up and hopes that you’ll make it through.

Skip Muck: He gets so serious when they tell him that you got hurt. He wants to know everything that happened to you. How it happened and if you would be okay, he would ask roe relentlessly until he got the answer he wanted. When you finally get better enough to see him he’s so sweet and gentle with you.

Don Malarkey : He wants to go find whoever hurt you but he also knows that he needs to be with you in the moment. He gets so so worried and the other guys would have to reassure him that you’re gonna be okay. He swears he can’t lose you. He can’t bear to do anything until he gets the “yes” that you’re okay.

Shifty Powers: When they tell him that you’ve been hurt, you were already taken away before he could see you. He would just sit by himself in silence. Not talking to anyone or engaging in conversation like he usually does. His spark would be gone until they let him know that you were gonna be alright.

Babe Heffron: His reaction would be a mixture of emotions, he would seem very angry and stressed when he finds out that you’re hurt. He feels like a horrible boyfriend because he thinks he could have protected you from being hurt. On the inside, he’s scared and terrified that you won’t make it back to him.

Frank Perconte: He needs to know where you are immediately once the guys let him know that you’ve been hurt. He feels sick to his stomach when they tell him something bad happened to you. He wish he could just take away your pain and you be happy and healthy. He wouldn’t be able to eat or sleep until he knew you were back to normal.

Ronald Speirs: He gets furious. One because he should have been there with you when it happened, and secondly because he believes that it could’ve been prevented if one of the other men were looking out for you. Until you get back from the hospital he would sink himself into paper work to pass time, waiting until he could see you again.

Chuck Grant: He doesn’t care for all of the details, he just needs to know if you’re okay or not. He honestly wishes that it was him getting hurt instead of you. He hopes that you will be okay and he really wishes that you won’t be in the hospital for too long. He would miss you too much :(

Johnny Martin: He honestly just gets pissed at the world. You’re the least deserving to get hurt and now you’re the one who is in such bad condition . He wishes he could do something to make you feel better. He feels like a bad s/o because he can’t immediately take the pain away from you.

Skinny Sisk: He would be in total shock. It never occurred to him that there was a possibility you could get hurt, his plans of you and him making it out perfectly fine vanished from his mind. If he does get the chance to see you he will promise to do anything to help you get better, and to be there for you no matter what.

David Webster : He thinks it’s a horrible joke when the guys tell him that you were hurt and now in the hospital. He’s in denial for a while. Still shocked that you got hurt when you were just talking to him moments ago. He tries to find a way to see you even if he gets in trouble.

Buck Compton: It breaks his heart when he sees you like that, fear would creep up into his mind and overwhelm him until he knew that you were going to be alright. He genuinely thought he lost you for a second and feels so much more protective over you afterwards.

How they react when you, Easy’s nurse, find them hurt 🥺

Whereewwwwww just wanted to thank you all SO SO much for all the love and support! I love writing these headcannons so much, so to know you guys enjoy them is amazing! I appreciate you all so much.

Carwood Lipton:

Ahhhhhh you know when he almost takes a piece of shrapnel to the nuts in Carentan? That’s probably when you find him.

you both are kinda good friends at this point but there’s a little more between the two of you, and it’s very obvious.

but anyway you see his body get thrown backwards and fuck!!! You’re sprinting over, heart in your chest, luckily he’s alive when you and Tab fall down next to him.

lip let’s out a sigh of relief to see you there, an instant hand reaching out to land on yours, for comfort. It’s so subtle, and you’re making such a fuss over him you don’t notice at first.

Obviously when he thinks he’s blown a ball up, you look away, allowing him modesty when Floyd checks him.

when you get him into the jeep and he’s all patched up, you’re wiping his face clean, soothing him gently as he watches you through heavy eyelids, tired from the shot of morphine you’d injected.

I don’t think there would be many words spoken between the two of you, but Lip is so pleased you’re there with him, out of all the nurses he got lucky enough for you to treat him- plus, he’s got both his balls- thank god.

“Hey! It’s like winnin’ the lottery, he got the girl and he kept both his balls!”

“Yeah, yeah, thanks for pointing that out, Luz.”

Skip Muck:

Holy SHIT! He’s in complete shock when him and Penkala both climb out of the foxhole, somehow alive. A bomb landed near by, giving them a good shake up.

when he sees you he’s on hands and knees, crawling across the frozen floor, but he’s a little numb seeing as, you know, he did almost get hit by a bomb.

but anyway, you fall to your knees, beginning to cry in a mix of shock, horror and relief? Both of them are alive, your love Skip, is alive.

with the help of the other nurses and medics available you get the two to semi safety.

Skip can’t stop watching you, he’s fearful another bomb will go off and you’ll both be separated again.

Skips probably frightened for his life, it makes me sad because I don’t think you’d see him showing that level of fear that often.

poor guy probably just wants a good hug afterwards. I can imagine him resting his face against your chest, keeping his eyes shut to pretend he was somewhere much, much better than Bastogne with you.

Joe Liebgott:

“Oh my GOD, Joe, why didn’t you tell me you were hurt?!”

“Ahhh, it’s nothing, hun, y’know I’ll be fine.”

You’d probably have to fuss over him a great deal to get him sat down and cleaned up. Especially if he’s feeling stubborn.

even when you’re treating him he’s swatting your hands away saying he has to get back to the line. But I think showing him how serious you are will shut him up.

then he’d probably turn it into a game. Starts smirking and pulls your waist into him so he gets a face full of boobs. It’s been a while since you two have been semi alone, what can I say?

complains about the stitches hurt and suggests more than several ways of ‘making him feel better’.

probably chases after you out of the aid station with a half unzipped flyer, leaving you flustered and giggly, attempting to maintain a poker face.

Chuck Grant:

Big sad ok.

Obviously Chuck gets shot in the head veryyyy late into the game, the war in Germany is over, but everybody’s in a limbo waiting to be redeployed to the Pacific.

by this time you and Chuck are in a well established relationship, hell you’re even engaged to one another- I think this would be recent.

anyway, high off your recent engagement, this is the last thing the either of you expect.

so everybody’s kinda hush hush to tell you, but I think some how you’d overhear somebody accidentally spilling the horrific news in front of you.

I think we all know that would never go down too well. God, it’s devastating. You think you’ve lost him, but he’s such a fighter.

Chuck’s a little confused when he wakes up, he’d be in a lot of pain and probably slip in and out of consciousness for a while. But to have you there whenever he is somewhat awake means so much.

When he was fully awake, he’d remember glimpses of you, your hair, your voice and your ring. You’d be such a comfort for him.

You’d be there for him through his whole recovery, and although Chuck can be a little doubtful at times, he never once doubts your love for one another.

Shifty Powers:

You two have such a cute, little, blossoming romance when Shifty gets to go home. It’s all going perfect, it’s new and you’re both excited to see each other back in the States.

but when Shifty gets hurt unexpectedly, you bet you’re using all your points, racing to where he’s stationed, and staying with him as long as you think he needs.

he’d be in a lot of pain, but he’d be so relieved to see you, he’d still be smiling and blushing over you- and despite the fact he shouldn’t really move, he’s holding his hands out.

shocked when you start crying!

oh my god, he’d be so soft, he wouldn’t want you to cry and comforts you so gently.

he just wants you to be happy, so when he’s still recovering in Europe and the men are already at home, he’s insisting you go home, saying he feels guilty for keeping you stuck there.

but truthfully, you love being around him, it’s a rocky beginning to a relationship, but you fall in love there. When you both get home I feel like Shifty would have already wifed you up or he’s about to.

Floyd Talbert:

Smith accidentally stabs him, we all know the story. And you’re probably not staying to far away, already up and just wrapping up somebody’s arm or what not.

until you hear the cries of a medic, and the voice sounds eerily similar to Talbert’s. Fuck- you’re in shock when you realise it’s him!

tab kinda doesn’t want you to see him like that, so he’d deffo try to put on a brave face.

when he sees you crying in the jeep to the aid station he gets SO upset.

“no, no, no, my sweet girl, I’m fine.” Seriously he’s all up over you (as much as he can).

“See, baby? I can breathe, I can talk, it’s all cool.” Tries to act a little too brave and hurts himself again. It’s fine though, because when you’re calm enough to, you patch him up and you’re his own ‘personal nurse’.

seriously calls you Angel for the next hundred years after you looked after him.

when he feels better he BEGS you to stay around and give him the same amount of attention you did when he was first injured.

Cracks jokes and pokes your sides just to make you laugh.

for a hot minute he did think he was gonna die, but it’s fineeee, he’s okay and he’s back up and running in no time.

Dick Winters:

Nah this man is so cool, calm and collected. He’s more annoyed at HIMSELF for getting hit with a ricochet?

anyway, you’re probably busy patching up the wounded or tending to a casualty when it happened, by the time Winters is all seen to you’d probably only just be finishing. So he doesn’t bother telling you what’s happened, he figures it’s no emergency and doesn’t want to distract you.

but you know how rumours spread right? One person says something and then the next repeats something slightly distorted and so on.

so somehow you hear that he’s been SHOT and he’s possibly badly wounded, being moved out from the Aid station?!!!??

oh my GOD your heart stops. You’d search frantically, everywhere for him, and he’s nowhere to be seen wtf?!!

within 15 minutes or so you’re balling your eyes out, scurrying around until you spot a familiar figure in the distance.

Oops? He’s completely fine, already limping on his foot like a fool, he kinda laughs when you throw yourself into him, comforting you and telling him he’s literally ok.

stupid, army gossip. Winters would rub the back of your head (as long as you’re somewhere private lol) and ensure you’re okay over thinking that he was not ok.

Babe Heffron:

“Edward?! Where the hell are you?! Edward?!”

“Oh, Edward? You’re in trouble, Babe.” Babe’s scrambling to find you as soon as he hears the way you address him.

When he comes face to face to you outside the door you’re breathless and red in the cheeks, scanning over the bruise that was painfully near his eye.

“Ya hurt and ya didn’t come to me? I thought you’d killed yourself.” You’d let out a huge sigh of relief seeing he’s okay.

babe feels kinda guilty. News had spread that he was hurt and he should’ve gone to find you sooner, he just didn’t want to take your attention away from guys with worse off wounds.

“I’m sorry, y/n, I just didn’t wanna take ya time up? I’m ok though, see? Still in one piece for ya.”

“Jesus, Babe, ya scared me half to death.” After one playful shove, he knows you’re not seriously annoyed at him. But he is aware you wanna give him a little more attention, tending to that nasty cut of his.

secretly enjoys it. You’d sit on his lap and patch him up, maybe getting a little distracted half way through.

Gene Roe:

gene’s usually the one patching people up, not the one being patched up. So it’s a little weird for him to have the roles reversed.

Gene gets a couple pieces of shrapnel to the leg, so you insist on fixing him up. Now Gene had a hidden crush on you, he’s all red faced and stammering.

probably wouldn’t tell you if you’re accidentally hurting him. He’s too polite.

You’d probably feel his shy gaze and ahhhh it would make you so weak. I think even tho he is a little shy, Gene can be quite chatty?? Like I know he’s always portrayed as fairly quiet, but we do see this more playful side of him come out.

that’s how I feel like he’d be with you. And it’s sooo charming, he’s effortlessly cool and you’d probably fall straight in love with him there and then.

Lewis Nixon:

Okay I think it’s less of a scenario of him being hurt, and more like the possibility of him being dead- hear me out.

when the plane Lewis is in, ready to jump, is hit, you hear of the news wayyyy before Lewis is back to prove he’s safe.

so your kinda hidden relationship suddenly becomes very apparent when you’re uncontrollably sobbing, you’re a MESS.

Then he just rocks up and he’s like ‘hey what’s wrong with her?’ But he’s sooo grateful when you throw yourself in his arms. He didn’t realise how close to losing you he really was- well more like you losing him, but you get the jist.

god it makes Lewis realise just how scared to die he is, he wants to be with you forever, and when you’re laid in bed that night he’d hold you sooo close omg.

so angsty, but all turns out to be good in the end.

James ‘Moe’ Alley:

Okay so he’s not exactly with it when he’s wounded by like 37 shrapnel pieces. Even though he’s conscious, he’s spaced out in shock.

probably when he wakes up from the morphine shot and he’s recovering in the aid station, does he realise you’re there besides him, tears staining your face.

he’d notice immediately that you were upset and want to console you, tell him he’s fine, but he winces as soon as he tries to lift his body.

Omg sooo soft and gentle and reassuring, you would think YOU’RE the one that’s hurt. He so desperately doesn’t want you to worry over him, the emotional pain would stay with him for much longer than the physical would.

probably get a little sad when he’s taken away to the hospital and you can’t see each other for months. It feels like a lifetime, ugh the agony in his heart is too much, he just wants to be back with his girl!

Wayne ‘Skinny’ Sisk:

“I’m in heaven, Doc.” He’d sigh and gaze up to you with the sweetest eyes.

fml he’s so adorable, and you’re always back in Bastogne town / the field hospital, so you’d be able to visit him sooo often.

I think he’d be super reassured by your presence, the fact you’re taking time out of your day to visit him? Ah he’s in love.

you’d sit and play cards together, even if you only have 5 minutes.

oddly he’d enjoy your company? He didn't so much enjoy a tree exploding into his leg, but oddly he’s somewhat grateful because that’s what brought the two of you together.

would purposefully brush his hands over yours when you’re playing cards, it’s a small flirty gesture, but it’s cute.

Hi! Do you have any headcannons of the boys taking care of you when you’re sick?

Hello there Anon! Thanks for your patience as I catch up on requests. I hope you like these 💕🕊️

Dick Winters: When he's sick, he fully expects himself to just push through like he normally would. Whoever notices that he's not feeling well practically has to force him to sit down and rest. But if you're sick? Completely different story - he's immediately asking questions, trying to figure out what's wrong; making you tea; taking your temperature; looking for a medic, if he thinks you need one. Would put his whole day on hold just to help you.

Ron Speirs: Second verse, same as the first. He would feel so helpless if there wasn't much that he could do. Unsure of how to express that, he would do whatever you asked: making you tea, reading to you, and his favorite, just holding you while you rest.

Lewis Nixon: He's powered through plenty of hangovers, but he can tell that whatever you're experiencing is worse - and that scares him. He probably calls Dick for help, because let's face it, his upbringing did not prepare him for this, and he feels out of his depth. Just know that his heart is in the right place and that he plans on being there for you every second until you feel better. He'll talk you through it all, which helps distract himself from the fear he feels. God forbid anything should happen to you on his watch.

Carwood Lipton: Like Winters and Speirs, he expects himself to push through his own sickness, but would bend over backwards to help you if you're unwell. As an "Acts of Service" type of man, this is truly his time to shine. Don't expect to do anything but rest up all day, because Lip has got everything under control.

Babe Heffron: His first instinct would be to ask Roe for help. Once he gets a few pointers, he's well on his way. He would be so sweet the whole time, giving you plenty of cuddles or plenty of space - whichever you prefer in the moment. Doesn't care about you getting him sick at all. He knows that he can make it through just fine, but he's going to make sure that you feel better before he even considers worrying about himself.

Eugene Roe: So efficient! (But, if he's being honest with himself, also a little scared, because he hates to see someone that he loves so much feeling so poorly.) Lucky for you, he knows all the remedies to get you feeling better in no time - and he's humble about how quickly he has you feeling better again.

Bill Guarnere: He would both try and do anything to make you feel better. You want one of his ma's home remedies? He's calling her right now for the recipe. You just want to be held and take a nap? He's your guy. It's honestly kind of startling to see how differently he can act, because he's so gentle and encouraging throughout the whole thing. Because in his mind, that's just what a good boyfriend does.

Joe Toye: Definitely the guy who drives you to the doctor the second you develop a temperature. There's no way that he's taking a chance with your health, because you never know when things might be very serious. Don't worry, he'll drive carefully - but still in the fast lane, really pressing the speed limit.

George Luz: George may have missed his calling to be a nurse, because his bedside manner is just so good. He knows exactly when to put the joking on pause and when you could use a little laugh to lighten your mood. Also he makes The Best™️ tomato soup and grilled cheese combo you could possibly imagine. That stuff could cure anything.

Don Malarkey: Okay listen, this man is insanely good at cuddling. You could spend all day pressed up against him and he wouldn't mind. He'd put on whatever show you currently like and would hold you through the whole thing, while also taking breaks between episodes to make sure that you're staying hydrated and taking your medicine.

Shifty Powers: He lives by the belief that fresh air, sunshine, and a good attitude can cure just about anything. He would definitely sit on the porch swing with you, gently rocking you back and forth in the late afternoon sunshine and talking to you about anything and everything to raise your spirits. Also a huge fan of giving out forehead kisses when you rest your head on his shoulder. Not to sound overdramatic, but those things might just have some sort of magic healing quality in them.

Joe Liebgott: This man hardly ever takes a day for himself. He's up early and working late, just because every hour feels like it needs to be filled with productivity. But the second you get sick? Everything is put on hold. Good thing he has so many sick-days saved up, because he'll use them all if he has to, just to stay by your side and take care of you. Don't even think about telling him that you're fine, because he's going to be right there, making sure you're okay.

David Webster: Similar to Nixon, he does not come from a background that equipped him for any of this. But he's trying his best! He'll whip up some of the most horrendous soup in history before he gives in and orders it for you - after all, he's trying to help you get better, not make you worse. He holds your hand a lot, rubbing his thumb over your knuckles, which is so soothing. Turns out that he's really good at making the perfect tea, so prepare to drink the best peppermint tea of your life.

Skip Muck: Such a sweetheart, are you kidding me? Like Luz, he knows when to shelve the jokes and when you could use a good laugh. He would be so attentive, and calls his mom and sister for advice, just to make sure that he's doing everything right. The reassuring smiles he gives you every time that he comes into the room work better than any medicine ever could.

Bull Randleman: Basically becomes a doctor the second that he realizes that you don't feel well. I mean, this man just jumps into action and seems to know exactly what to do, it's amazing. With everything that he's doing to help you, he still finds time to be right by your side whenever you wake up from naps. Prepare to wake up to a smile that feels like the morning sun greeting you.

Floyd Talbert: It's . . . a little chaotic at first, but he's got the spirit. It's sweet, though, how hard he's trying, because it shows you that he cares. He's definitely having a bit of an internal panic since he's never done this before, but once he calms down, he'll take good care of you. Might go a little heavy on the seasoning in the chicken noodle soup, but hey, it's the thought that counts.

you know, the easy company members' ages are mostly equivalent to others but some are basically a child in a grown man body. a whole squad i'd say. there are:

• skip, don, penkala, they literally have children-like behavior. who will be the child if not these three.

• and we also have luz, hoobler, tab and babe in the problematic children group.

• webgott also belongs in this squad, they argue every single minute and skinny will have to stop them.

• skinny, shifty, eugene, chuck and blithe are also children-like, but they behave perfectly well. they are basically what people mean when they talk about the polite kid.

• and don't forget john hall, the shy little child who deserves the world.

on the other hand, we have the babysitters, or mom and dad group. this group includes:

• obviously, winnix aka the parents of the company;

• and speirton the another parents of easy co. but they are a bit closer to the men of the company somehow;

• randlemartin is a requirement. bull is most certainly the cool dad who will teach you to make models and martin is the mom who will give you a 2 hour long lecture but still let you make the models with you dad (aka bull) afterwards.

we also have the cool uncles and the perosnal babysitters. the uncle squad includes:

• harry and bill, the straights amongst gays.

• dukeman is the only one who will teach you good and valuable knowledge (they are appropriate, of course). he will also bring you candies, but only the right amount. let's say he is the only uncle that can be trusted in the whole squad.

• alton is the cool uncle who will take you for a ride on his motorcycle until you get bored and will answer/teach everything if you asked him no matter if it's appropriate or not;

• and pat christenson, who will draw a literal masterpiece and give it to you if you asked him to.

• buck is the kind of uncle who will sneak you a bunch of candies that are probably enough to keep you full for a goddamn month and will get a lecture with you if you both get caught.

an example for the personal babysitter is george, his personal babysitter and boyfriend is joe toye of course. or the kid will babysits the uncle sometimes. who knows.

The breeze is nice against your fingertips, the night is long and slow but bearable when a certain blonde sat down next to you that night. He had lit his last smoke, passing it back and forth with you. The first few moments was an awkward silence until he broke it “It’s been so long, I can’t imagine that the war is nearly over”

You hadn’t heard him speak more than once, other than talking to Liebgott and Webster days before. The smoke drifted to your nose, years ago that scent would make you want to throw up but now it seemed familiar and like home. “I almost can’t remember anything from home. Got used to calling this my family”

He smiled and handed you the cigarette “Can’t remember nothing, huh?”

You returned the cheeky smile and inhaled the burning cigarette “I remember reading. I regret not bringing any books to read. I’ve gone through Web’s stash but there’s only so much non fiction that can entertain you” 

“What was your favorite book?”

“The Little Prince” you smiled at the memories of reading the book years from being a child into your teen years “Do you miss anything about home?” Skinny shifted his weight against the wall and took the cigarette from your fingers “I miss seing my sister do ballet, I know she started doing it more when I left. Must’ve been glad to have me out of the house” you chuckled and moved to sit closer to him so you were sitting side by side. He turned to face you, his light blue eyes peering into your own with such power. Ironic for such a shy boy. “She’s a funny girl”

“I can’t remember my brother making me happy, except for the rare times he would cook for me. You’d love his cooking, nothing like this army noodles” You crushed the cigarette under your foot And leaned against Skinny, letting out a long breath.

“War is war, you won’t find many things that will make you happy or feel like home so I guess I’ll have to wait until I go home to experience it again’ you added after a long pause.

Skinny smiled and he whispered “You make me happy” you turned to face him of the best of your ability even with an injured shoulder  “Yeah?” your voice cracked as you spoke.

“Yeah, I mean you’re right. Not a lot of people have reminded me of home I suppose or any that I’ve really made friends with. I’m just trying to not die” he paused to chuckle. He had suddenly took an interest in looking at the floor and hiding his red cheeks “So I guess you changed that”

And you decided right there and then that sitting there in a hallway of an Austrian hotel with a silly smile and a warm heart is what takes to be happy, for a while.

A   :   AFFECTION.   how does your muse show affection?

Softly. Eugene’s affection is a tender thing, never performative, very private. When he cares for someone, he shows it in little smiles and private jokes; letting his guard down in their presence, able to lean back and read a book or doze off without an ounce of self-consciousness; sharing things with them, like interesting book passages or science facts, and trusting that they’ll care. His affection is understated, but it’s very comfortable, very peaceful.

B   :   BOUQUET.   does your muse like flowers? which ones are their favourite?

Gardening was one of his mother’s pet hobbies, and Eugene took a special interest when he was little. He always loved flowers, all those bright colors and blooming life that rang in the springtime...  while he’s no expert in gardening himself, he learned enough from his mother that he could raise a potted plant easily, and has a special fondness for them. He’ll show up with a carefully curated bouquet to any event, or surprise his mother with them just because he was passing by the flower shop  ---  and you bet he helped the florist pick them out.

C   :   CHOCOLATE.   does your muse like chocolate? which one is their favourite?

He’s not a big fan... but he’ll never say no to Hersheys kisses.

D   :   DATE.   what is your muse’s ideal date? where / who with / etc?

Not for a first date, because he wouldn’t want his love interest to think he’s a nerd...  but somewhere further along in the relationship, he’d love to go to a science museum. Maybe the best one in Alabama, which would require a bit of a trip  ---  another thing he’d like, Eugene really enjoys car rides, especially when he’s the one driving  ---  but he’d have an amazing time. His partner might have to work to keep his attention on them instead of the exhibits, but seeing Eugene enthusiastic and in his element is a treat. He’s more interested in biology, but he’d also like to go to a planetarium; how often does a date take you across the universe?

E   :   EMBRACE.   does your muse like hugs? what are their hugs like?

He’s so weird. Even when prepared for a hug, he’s never quite ready, so he tenses up for the first few seconds before kind of melting into it. He doesn’t give out hugs that often, but they’re very soft, almost like he isn’t sure of himself and doesn’t want to impose; he’s self-conscious about his own hugs, but lowkey likes them from others if he’s in the right mood. (If he’s in the wrong mood...  he will fall out of his chair to dodge a hug.)

F   :   FLIRT.   is your muse good at flirting? how do they flirt?

Oh, don’t worry, he doesn’t! Ever. Like, he might physically hurt himself if he really tried to get a date. Eugene...  isn’t smooth, and he’s aware of it. He’d choke on a pick-up line before it could leave his mouth. Instead, he’s just...  himself around people, maybe a bit nervous and flushed around someone he finds attractive. Please don’t assume this man has game.

G   :   GIFT.   is your muse good at gift - giving or do they struggle to get it right?

He’s a perfectionist about giving gifts. Lots of thought goes into them, and he’s very determined to get the right thing. He’s been this way ever since he was little (it was torment for his parents, trying to find gifts for Sid’s birthday every year when Eugene just didn’t approve of anything); gifts matter, and the right one goes a long way. He’ll spend an hour just brainstorming the perfect gift, and then a whole afternoon hunting it down, if the person means enough to him. Usually he gets it right.

H   :   HEART.   is your muse quick or slow to give their heart away?

Slow. Regardless of any past traumas, Eugene has always been cautious giving his heart away. What else could be more personal, more meaningful, than loving someone? It’s never quick for Eugene; he needs to see a lot of them, to truly get to know them, before he can trust his heart to love.

I    :   I LOVE YOU.   does your muse find ‘i love you’ easy or hard to say?

It doesn’t come easily to him. He prefers to whisper it, tender and genuine, in intimate moments; he utters it like a prayer against his partner’s lips, or while gazing into their eyes. Eugene will never shout it for the world to hear, but he’s always so effortlessly comfortable and affectionate with his partner in public that, to anyone paying attention, his body language practically screams it.

J   :   JEALOUSY.   does your muse get jealous in a relationship?

He...  would deny it. He’s not the jealous type, he’d claim, and he isn’t  ---  except for the occasional pangs if he sees someone lavishing a bit too much affection on his partner. He won’t make a big deal out of it, but he might invent a reason to insert himself into the situation or wrap an arm around his partner’s waist and steal them away, while casting a not-as-subtle-as-he-thinks glower at the offending person. Jealous!Sledge is a cryptid, and very amusing.

K   :   KISS.   is your muse a good kisser? why / why not?

Eugene kisses like he’s drowning. It’s very intimate, almost ravenous in his earnestness; he needs from his partner immediately, needs the reassurance and affection only their lips can provide, and he’s willing to sacrifice his self-control in search of it. His hands don’t tend to stray from their back, but he’s not above cupping their face, simply holding them close to him. He gasps against their lips in between kisses, allowing only a breath before going back for more. While he can be a soft kisser in the right mood, the majority of his kisses tend to be intense and earnest.

L   :   LOVE.   who does your muse love?

Eugene cares deeply for his family, even if their relationship isn’t always easy; he recognizes how fortunate he was to grow up in a home knowing he was deeply, unconditionally loved. He’ll also always have a special place in his heart for Sid, his oldest and truest friend; he loves his dog; he loves some long-dead authors, just because he admires their work so much. Eugene doesn’t naturally open himself up to loving many people, because it’s a very personal thing for him. Love grows within him slowly.

M   :   MOONLIGHT.   is morning or night a more romantic setting?

He’s got a special fondness for moonlight; it always leaves him in a more thoughtful, more sensual frame of mind. That said, he’s painfully not a night owl, and anytime around midnight he starts getting very sleepy, so he’s got a short window to get that romancing done.

N   :   NAUGHTY.   what is your muse like in bed?

...  not very naughty. He isn’t adventurous, is the thing, and would probably need some convincing before trying out anything wild with his partner. Eugene isn’t a prude, but he also isn’t experienced, and has no confidence in what he’s doing. He’s going completely off instinct, and would need some encouragement (possibly some guidance) from his partner before finding in rhythm. Once he does, that same heated fervor from his kisses takes over. He’s driven by instinct, touching and exploring wherever he dares, almost enjoying the liberty of bushing respectable boundaries. He’s most sensitive at his thighs and hips; when his partner touches there, he shivers, and should their mouth stray there, he’d moan like a harlot.

O   :   ODE.   does your muse have a way with words?

He’s a reader. A writer. A thinker. Words have always been something he dealt in easily  ---  never to the point of being pretentious, but the ability to express himself through speech and pen has always been something he valued.

P   :   PARTNER.   what does your muse look for in a partner? looks / personality?

Eugene would prefer someone intellectual, or at least someone smart; he’d like it if they had a passion for classics, for old places and things. Sharing interests is something he thinks is necessary in a relationship, but honestly, it really isn’t. Eugene needs (even if he won’t admit it): a partner capable of being strong when he isn’t, someone who’ll look after him without leaving him feeling condescended to, someone interested in him and willing to share parts of themselves with him. Someone dependable, who’s willing to take things slow. Someone with light in their eyes, and a smile that lights up the room. Someone intuitive, who understands what he means even if he doesn’t say it outright. Ideally, someone who likes music, but also doesn’t mind the quiet.

Q   :   QUESTION.   would your muse ask the big question or expect their partner to?

He’d ask under the right circumstances, when the moment felt absolutely right  ---  for both of them, his partner especially. Eugene would probably feel around his partner for a few months, dropping hints and testing the waters to discern if they’re in a place to get married as well. Only when he feels truly sure does he pull out a ring over dinner, a sweet  (thought out for hours, twelve previous drafts thrown away) speech on his lips and hope in his eyes.

R   :   ROMANCE.   is your muse a romantic or a cynic?

He’s a cynic who’d enjoy the change to be romantic if it ever came his way. Sledge has a very strong capacity for romance  ---  he could be an absolute dream date  ---  but it needs to be tapped into. He’s not wide-eyed and idealistic naturally.

S   :   SWEETHEART.   did your muse have a childhood sweetheart?

...  we’re not going to say Sid, because he swears to this day that he never had a crush on Sid, they were just friends, he never had a hero-worshipping thing for Sid, really  ---  let’s say Mary. Everyone in their school was a little in love with Mary Houston, but she never had eyes for Eugene.

T   :   TRUE LOVE.   does your muse believe in true love?

...  no. He doesn’t. Maybe at one point, before he truly understood what love is, and how easily it can be snuffed out...  but now, he just believes you’re lucky if you’re able to love one person in your lifetime. It’s not “true”; nothing is that permanent, nothing can be trusted that much.  (lol rip sledge’s innocence)

U   :   UNREQUITED.   has your muse had their heart broken?

By life? Yeah. It’s being held together with superglue and duct tape at this point.

V   :   VALENTINE.   how does your muse feel about valentine’s day?

His parents always plan a big date every year, so Eugene’s had a good example. Given the opportunity, he’d like to romance a partner on the Day of Love, instead of sitting home alone eating cookies in the parlor. 

W  :   WEDDING.   would your muse get married? why / why not?

...  well, he figures, at some point, if only to set his parents’ minds at ease. It’s not something Eugene particularly looks forward to until it happens; he doesn’t feel the urge to get married, nor that he’d be an exceptional husband. When he finds the right person, though, his mind starts to change. It would take a while before he’s ready to commit thoroughly, ready to trust in the possibility of a happy ending...  but he’d like to.

X   :   XOXO.   does your muse use / like pet names?

He sometimes does, just to be cheeky. They’re mostly ones he grew up hearing from his parents, like “darling” or “dearest”; he steals “my angel” from his father and adopts it for himself, just because he always loved how romantic it sounded as a child.

Y   :   YOURS.   does your muse get protective easily?

If someone is threatening someone he cares about, Eugene takes a turn very quickly; he goes from friendly and unassuming to steely-eyed killer without missing a beat. You would not look at him and think “this man could kick someone’s ass”; you’d be wrong. If the situation calls for it, and he’s got the incentive  ---  i.e. people he loves in danger  ---  Eugene does not come to play around. He will diffuse the situation with a few very calm, very scary words...  and hopefully it won’t need to escalate further.

Z   :   ZZZ.   how many people has your muse slept with?

Hah! Oh my god, don’t ask him that, he doesn’t like it. (This V-Card is in no hurry to get punched. God help him.)

Roe brings the seriousness and Luz brings the silliness.

But Roe can be a mischievous little shit too. Spina and Luz are the only ones who know how much of a punk Roe can be.

Luz can be much more serious and soft than anyone (besides Roe) knows.

They're a good balance for each other. Luz brings out Roe`s more playful side and Roe brings out Luz`s calmer, mushier side.

They're just real fucking cute, ok?

Hello again! This is the anon that asked for the Joe Toye headcanons. Thank you for the links and all! Can I see maybe some argument headcanons?

Yeah, I think I meant a preference, haha. Ah, how about Toye, Luz, Speirs, and Roe? 

With bonus Winters, Shifty, Lipton and Skinny Sisk.

George Luz - Arguments between the two of you are rare. George often deflects with humour and jokes, meaning that unresolved issues can linger just under the surface. Your arguments usually come to nothing more than some snappy words, before you two walk away from one another. It doesn’t take the two of you long to make up either. George doesn’t like the idea of the both of you going through the night angry at each other and so you will have talked it all through before bed.

Ron Speirs - Again, arguments between the two of you are rare, believe it or not. If Ron has an issue, he has no problem telling you so and because you end up communicating, that issue doesn’t evolve into a problem. But when you do argue, it’s like you two are making up for it. It’s practically explosive. Speirs won’t raise his voice, but sometimes his words can be cutting. After the initial big blowout, you two will have a series of smaller arguments over the next couple of days, until you have both completely cooled off.

Joe Toye - Arguments between the two of you often leave you both feeling unsettled. If only because you’re so use to working together as a team, that when you two fall out, you’re thrown for a loop. Joe is another who won’t raise his voice. No matter how angry he gets, he never forgets to remember that he’s a big guy and how intimidating that might be. Arguments shouldn’t be about fear. If he ever does notice his voice begin to rise, he will take a step back and re-assess. His voice does however, become more huskier whenever he’s frustrated. Joe’s not the kind to hold grudges though and forgives pretty easily. (Unless you’re a complete douchebag of unparalleled proportions of course).

Eugene Roe - When you two argue, it’s somehow like you’ve both lost the ability to communicate properly with one another. It doesn’t help that when frustrated, Gene tends to automatically mutter in French, which if you can’t understand, just makes matters worst, because it seems like he’s making judgemental remarks about you under his breath. This is never the case, but you’re both riled up and frustrated. Once you’ve both tired yourselves out a bit, you’ll take the time to think carefully about what you both want to say, before actually communicating with each other and apologising.

‘Shifty’ Powers - The two of you don’t really argue per se. It’s more of a case of you two awkwardly ignoring each other for a couple of days as you brood. Shifty will join you in the bed to sleep, but you both keep to your separate sides, which upsets him more than you know. Eventually the both of you will realise that avoiding each other is solving nothing and just making the both of you pretty miserable.

Richard Winters - Arguing with Dick is probably one of the most frustrating experiences ever. The man is just so unflappable and if you don’t have the same level of composure, it just feels like you’re getting more and more emotional and out of control of the situation, while he seems to remain unfazed. This is completely untrue of course, Dick hates it when he argues with you and will always try to talk it out with you. It’s his choice of words that let you know he’s just as disconcerted as you with all the arguing.

Carwood Lipton - Carwood is usually pretty patient, but when you argue even he has his limits. He tries to be understanding and see things from your point of view, but sometimes he can’t help but fire back. He usually regrets it immediately and will leave the house to avoid saying anything else he might regret. He’ll take a small walk and stress-smoke a cigarette. The only time he won’t walk away, is if he’s made you accidentally cry. He can’t leave you like that.

‘Skinny’ Sisk - Skinny is very facially expressive and he gets a scowl and a half when you two argue. His brow furrows too, in both frustration and concern, because he doesn’t like arguing with you, but he finds himself unable to stop. He gets carried away with his emotions. If you start to cry, his anger fades and he becomes upset too. You will see him nervously chewing on his lower lip, so much so it becomes swollen and red.

(he would even if he wasn’t your first boyfriend btw) He wants you to have the best experience possible, going on fun dates, surprising you with flowers, he wants to make sure that you feel loved no matter what. Lewis Nixon: I think Nix would find it particularly interesting that you haven’t had a boyfriend before him. Because literally how? You are the most attractive person this guy has ever met? He wouldn’t be surprised if you said you had guys lining down the block to take you out. I think he also gets a good kick out of the fact that he would be your first kiss (if you already haven’t had it) and your first everything really. We all know that I have Many Thoughts™️ about Speirs and the way he's portrayed, so I am very sorry in advance lol

Whether you're already together or not, I think his reaction would be similar either way

He knows people are intimidated by him. He knows that some people are going to push him to see if he's really as angry and as cold and as violent as some of the rumors claim

Ergo, he doesn't want to give into them. But, he also knows that just a glance is sufficient to send anyone getting any ideas about trying to flirt with you on their way

"I can't decide if you're my guardian angel or my guard dog," you tease him

Maybe all those rumors are good for something after all - protecting you from unwanted advances

Out of all the guys you requested, I just feel like he's definitely the most willing to punch someone on your behalf. I said what I said

Someone comes up to you trying to be all slick and pick you up with a good line? Alarm bells are already going off in his head

It's so smooth, how he slides between you, immediately putting space between you and whoever is making the advance

He can be intimidating when he wants to be, and seeing someone flirting with you? Yeah, he wants to be intimidating

He's probably able to talk the situation down without it dissolving into a fight

But either way, when all is said an done, he's honestly a little nervous to see how you'll react to what he's done. After all, what if you liked having someone else flirting with you?

And when he looks back at you and sees you smiling at him, offering him a quiet "thank you", it makes him feel like some sort of knight in shining armor

Like Skinny, he also puts himself between you and whoever is trying to flirt with you, but with a different approach

That smile we all know and love? Yeah, he's flashing that, seemingly all polite and casual

Only you and those who know him best would be able to see how upset he is by this

He can usually solve situations like this with just his words, but he will throw hands if it comes to that

(He's gotta protect you, after all)

Lol he would try to act all cocky afterword, but if you smile and thank him, his heart would melt

His reaction is either exactly what you're expecting or the exact opposite of what you're expecting

If he sees someone else flirting with you, then he's obviously going to be jealous - but he's respectful of your choices, so he'll wait to see how you respond to their advances

When it becomes clear that you don't want this person flirting with you, he steps in, politely but forcefully pointing out that you're not interested

Okay, but I just have this image in my mind of this interloper shoving Shifty and him just immediately decking the guy?

Being a sharpshooter means he has great aim, so you know he can pack a punch

He probably feels kind of bad for letting the situation come down to violence, but when you thank him and he sees the grateful look in your eyes, it makes the split knuckles worth it

You just know that if he sees you talking to someone else he strolls up and asks "Who's your new friend?"

And yes, that includes throwing an arm around your shoulders for good measure

And keeping them there, just to send a clear message to whoever is talking to you

It honestly warms his heart when you lean into the touch. It makes him feel like he's doing the right thing

Even after whoever was flirting with you is gone, he keeps holding on to you, because part of him, deep down, is afraid of losing you

Listen, he is going to observe and assess the situation before he does anything

If he thought that you were having a good time with whoever you're talking to, he would let it go, but you're so obviously uncomfortable with the situation that it pushes him into action

Probably walks up and introduces himself, making himself a part of the conversation, establishing a presence that cannot be ignored

He feels a sense of pride in seeing how your body language relaxes with him near, how you shoot him a grateful smile, but I don't think it's until much later that he realizes what the driving force behind his actions was

He just cares about you so much that his priority was making sure you were safe

my headcannon in band of brothers is everyone has a soft spot for skinny, even johnny martin.skinny always has to deal with his always-arguing parents, aka webgott, and solve shits out for the both of them and then take care for others as he always does and barely let out a single complaint. he will always be there when someone needed, no matter if it's important or not.

every members of easy company know that, and they give him extra love and care to compensate him from what he had to handle in his life, especially the squad (aka shifty, tab, chuck) and alton. alton will take him for a ride on his motorcycle (don't ask where did he get it) to refresh his mind, being almost a father figure to him and tab, chuck will toss him a pack of cigarettes or chocolate because he loves chocolate so goddamn much, shifty will take him for a walk in the forest near the camp which they both loved dearly, give him sime chocolate bars and practice shooting stuffs with him.

and skinny knows it, and he got emotional while telling them he is very thankful for their appreciation.
