Solar Mirror Market Benefits from Increasing Demand for Renewable Energy
Tumblr media
The increasing demand for solar power and the rising awareness of renewable energy sources are likely to propel the growth of the global solar mirror market during the forecast period.
According to TechSci Research report, “Solar Mirror Market– Global Industry Size, Share, Trends, Opportunity, and Forecast, 2018-2028F”, the global solar mirror market is expected to rise in the coming years and register a significant CAGR during the 2024-2028F owing to increasing emphasis on solar mirror installations across the globe. Moreover, the growing demand for electricity will aid the global solar mirror market, as solar mirrors are used extensively for power generation. The use of solar mirrors for cooking, agriculture, and enhanced oil recovery is the other application area, which will ensure the growth of the global solar mirror market during the forecast period. Furthermore, emerging technologies such as self-orienting solar mirrors and aluminum-based reflecting materials in solar mirrors are expected to further boost the demand for solar mirrors in the coming years.
The global solar mirror market is expected to grow due to several important factors such as increasing public awareness of the negative effects of fossil fuels and the ongoing efforts of many countries to adopt energy-efficient technologies. Solar energy is being used by several sectors to reduce their energy consumption. Industrial applications are witnessing an increase in the demand for concentrated solar collectors due to their minimal maintenance requirements and capacity to provide heat without the use of electricity. This is likely to boost the growth of the global solar mirror market during the forecast period.
Some of the major reasons propelling the growth of the global solar mirror market include the rising demand for solar electricity and the requirement for efficient energy generation. Government initiatives to support renewable energy sources are also anticipated to promote the expansion of the global solar mirror market during the forecast period. Some of the major obstacles limiting the growth of this industry are high initial investment prices and a lack of knowledge about solar technology. However, the declining cost of photovoltaic (PV) cells is expected to be an ample amount of opportunities for market players in the coming years.

The global solar mirror market is divided into technology and end user.
Based on technology, the market is segmented into parabolic trough, linear fresnel, power tower, and dish/engine system. The parabolic trough technology is expected to grow in the coming years. The parabolic trough technology of solar mirror is a long, parabolic reflector that concentrates sunlight onto a linear receiver located above the reflector. The receiver is mounted on a tracking device that follows the sun along its daily path, maximizing the amount of sunlight that is captured and converted into heat energy.
Based on end user, the market is segmented into utilities, industrial, and commercial. The commercial end user segment is expected to boost in the coming years owing to solar mirrors being used in commercial to provide heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). Solar-thermal systems are widely used in commercial buildings in the US for cooling and heating. These systems focus sunlight using parabolic mirrors onto a central receiver, which transmits the heat energy to a fluid.
The second-largest market share belongs to the utilities end user segment, which will experience a considerable CAGR during the projection period. Solar mirrors can be used in both thermal power plants and photovoltaic (PV). Solar mirrors are used in PV power plants to concentrate sunlight onto the PV cells. The PV cells produce electricity as a result of the focused sunlight.
The market analysis also studies the regional segmentation to devise regional market segmentation, divided among North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, South America, and Middle East & Africa.
Key market players in the global solar mirror market include:
FLABEG FE GmbH
Rioglass Solar Holding S.A.
Compagnie de Saint-Gobain S.A.

“The global solar mirror market is expected to boost in the coming years and maintain a high CAGR during 2024-2028F owing to the growing demand for electricity, the unstable grid infrastructure, and the rising awareness about renewables energy among others across the country. Increasing awareness about the adverse effect of fossil fuel and continuous efforts of many countries in adopting energy efficient technologies are factors driving solar technology. This, in turn, is likely to boost the market for solar mirrors during the forecast period. Many industries are using solar energy to reduce consumption.
Additionally, governments are focusing on renewable energy by spending billions of dollars invested in solar energy. For instance, China spent USD 546 billion in 2022 on investments that included solar and wind energy, electric vehicles, and batteries. That is nearly four times the amount of US investments, which totaled USD 141 billion. The European Union was second to China with USD 180 billion in clean energy investments. Therefore, the global solar mirror market is expected to grow during the forecast period 2024-2028F,” said Mr. Karan Chechi, Research Director with TechSci Research, a research-based global management consulting firm.
“Solar Mirror Market – Global Industry Size, Share, Trends, Opportunity, and Forecast, 2018-2028F- By Technology (Parabolic Trough, Linear Fresnel, Power Tower, and Dish/Engine System), By End User (Utilities, Industrial, and Commercial), and By Region, Competition, 2028F”, has evaluated the future growth potential of the global solar mirror and provides statistics and information on market structure, size, share, and future growth. The report intends to provide cutting-edge market intelligence and help decision makers take sound investment decisions. Besides, the report also identifies and analyzes the emerging trends along with essential drivers, challenges, and opportunities in the global solar mirror market.

she's been given a mandatory month off from supergirl duties. she's not sick, she hasn't solar flared, and she's not hurting for any freelance work that requires her attention. she had simply been told that she needed to take the time off and to avoid any caped hero work unless absolutely necessary.
so that's why she's here now, without superhero work for the next thirty days. free to do whatever she wants.
after the initial shock washes over her, she places her hands on her hips and nods towards alex and j'onn. she knows exactly what she wants to do with her freedom.
"okay."
"look, before you fight th--okay?" alex stares at her, wide eyes mirroring kara's. "really?"
she shrugs, already heading towards the elevator. no need to fight the inevitable. "really."
as the elevator doors close in front of her, she can't help smirking in amusement at the identical confused expressions on both of their faces.
she has one destination in mind.
-
she knocks on the massive wooden door, though she knows she doesn't need to. it's a formality at this point considering the unrestricted access that she's been granted to enter the top floor of this condominium highrise.
still, she waits, because the anticipation is half the fun.
her face splits into an easy smile when lena opens the door to her with her own toothy grin.
"heya," she greets, stepping foot into what she calls home: within lena's arms.
"hello to you, too," lena says, swift yet careful in wrapping kara in her arms. her hands are open as they rub circles on kara's back. kara sinks further into lena's embrace, pulling lena further into her. "how are you?"
"i'm great."
lena stares into her eyes. "yeah?"
"oh yeah. i'm on vacation." she emphatically nods.
lena beams at that. "funny you say that. me too."
she quirks a brow at that, though she shouldn't be surprised. a month vacation doesn't just fall into people's laps without explanation. "yeah?"
"oh yeah," lena mimics her.
kara, still holding lena in her arms, pulls the other woman back in, the two of them swinging in place. "what a coincidence, right?"
lena throws her head back in laughter.
-
they arrive in a private villa off the coast of naples.
it's a modest hillside two bedroom house that overlooks the gulf below. when the local guide roll their suitcases for them, he unknowingly wheels lena's to one room and hers to the other. she smirks and lena tips him handsomely--enough that his olive skin tinges in embarrassment at just how much is in his hands. when their eyes meet after he leaves, they break into a giggle.
because they know the truth, despite not uttering a word of it: why bother taking up more room when right by each other's side is all the space they'll want to take.
despite the destination of her luggage, her body follows after lena to the other room, the one with the better view of the water. just as well, lena's body follows after her when they busy themselves in the kitchen to make themselves a quick dinner. when they finish, they share the hammock sitting out on the back deck, lena's head on her chest and her arms around her waist, while kara's arms wind their way in holding lena against her, their limbs tangled.
when lena yawns a few too many times, they call it a night. lena leads, their hands entwined, and they end up on lena's bed, drawing back the thin covers enough to stave off the inevitable cool night air.
-
they walk everywhere, always touching. a hand on the arm the elbow the bicep the small of her back. an arm slung over a shoulder or hooked together.
it's when they reach a destination that kara's courage grows, that lena's bravery broadens.
when they travel to the town square market as they shop for groceries that lips find their way on one another's skin; the temple the cheek the forehead.
when they treat themselves to a picnic right by a vineyard and lena is leaning back on her between her legs, lips chance on a bare and pale shoulder.
when they lounge in the hammock and lena is resting on her chest, lips chance on collarbones and behind the ears.
when they tire themselves out from full days, fuller stomachs, and fullest hearts that they are in bed and lena is facing her and their legs are tangled with one another, lips chance on entwined hands and fingers.
each one given freely, each one received gracefully.
soon, kara thinks, this will all change. especially when they cross the final threshold between them. though that's a formality at this point, all things considered.
still, she will wait until that happens, more than happy to be exactly where she is.
-
thirty days is long and short and is plenty and is not enough.
on their last day while they wait for their local guide to collect them, they stand on the corner edge of the back deck, lena in her arms as they overlook the gulf for the last time.
"i don't want to go back to work," she murmurs into lena's ear. lena twists in kara's arms until they're facing one another.
"you don't have to, if you really don't want to."
"we can move into this villa. i'll learn to fish. you can sell them at the market."
lena laughs in her arms and kara holds her tighter, like trying to capture lightning in a bottle.
"you're no good as a fisherman, sweetheart."
kara pouts because it's probably true. but she'll learn for lena.
"well, next time we're on vacation, we ought to come back."
"anything you want," lena says, her eyes dipping down to where kara's lips are.
"anything?"
lena nods, assuring, her eyes darkening. kara's smile widens and she leans forward just enough, their noses brushing.
kara is ready for what's to come. she's ready for lena.
still, she waits, because the anticipation is half the fun.

                THE IFA CONCEPT OF SOCIOLOGY
Yoruba culture has used the Ifa paradigm of the cosmos as the basis for building their major cities. The structure of the Yoruba Nation was a federation of city states. Each city was ruled by an Oba. In ancient times the Oba was never seen by his subjects, so he became the invisible nucleus of the circle that formed the city. He was surrounded by a female council of elders called Odu and a predominantly male council of elders called Ogboni. The city itself was supported by male and female work parties who tended to divide their labor along gender lines. The men were traditionally farmers and the women traditionally controlled the market place. Both men and women participated in craft guilds that preserved the techniques used in the arts. The cities were built in a circular formation with the compound of the Oba at the center. The symbolic image of Yoruba culture appears as follows:
Tumblr media
There is some archeological evidence in the Yoruba cities of Ile Ife and Oyo that suggests that this design was used as the basis for the actual layout of those cities. The extent to which this occurred in other cities has not been thoroughly researched. It does appear that this structure was used in pre-colonial times as the basis for establishing political and religious institutions both of which were built upon the cosmological model found in Ifa.
Variations on this structure involved the system of establishing the location for sacred shrines. The system is called Gede which is a very old form of astrology. In Gede the path of solar bodies and planets is marked in relationship to the ways that they transverse the landscape. Celestial bodies are believed to enhance the ase (inherent power) of natural forces that arise from the Earth. By correlating the influences of Olorun and Ile, the ancient diviners were able to consecrate their shrines in places that reflected the essence of specific Odu.
Earth (ile) was considered a reflection of Heaven (Orun) and the layout of Yoruba cities was designed to make them mirrors of the cosmic order. The religion of Ifa originally comes from the city of Ile Ife. In lfa scripture, Ile Ifa is described as the original home of humans. The words: "Ile Ife” translate to mean; "Spreading Earth." So Ile Ife is a city and it is any place where land formed on Earth that allowed for human evolution to take place. Ifa scripture also refers to Ile Ife as a Spiritual place. It is the home for those ancestors who have returned to Source.
Tumblr media
D. THE IFA CONCEPT OF PSYCHOLOGY
Perhaps the most accessible manifestation of Odu is through the portal of individual consciousness. Ifa teaches that Odu represent the energy patterns that create consciousness. They are analogous to what Carl Jung called archetypes of the collective unconscious. Jung believed that there exists a set of primal patterns that form the content of self-perception and place the self in relationship to the world. According to Jung, these patterns remain abstract until the unconscious gives them a cultural and personal context. In both Jungian psychology and the Ifa concept of consciousness, Odu (archetypes) can be revealed through dreams, where they take on personal qualities and manifest as mythic drama. By grasping this particular manifestation of Odu, Ifa teaches that it is possible to create internal balance which is the foundation of living in harmony with Nature.
Tumblr media
Ifa psychology is linked to the concept of ori. The literal translation of ori is "head." This is a limited definition because ori also implies consciousness and Ifa cosmology teaches that all Forces in Nature have ori or consciousness.31 Because Ifa believes in reincarnation, every ori forms a polarity with ipori. The ipori is the eternal consciousness that exists in Orun (Heaven).32 It is the ipori that forms the link between past and future lives. If a scripture describes the ipori as the perfect double of ori. According to Ifa cosmology, every ori makes an agreement with Olorun prior to each incarnation.33 This agreement outlines the type of life that is to be lived and the lessons that are to be learned in a given lifetime. At the moment of birth the content of this agreement is lost to conscious thought. Part of the process of establishing internal balance is viewed as the task of remembering the original agreement between ori and Olorun.
Tumblr media
This agreement is the source of individual destiny. Because divination is considered a method for discovering destiny, all divination based on Ifa is related to the question of enhancing the alignment between ori and ipori.
The link between ori and ipori lies within ori inu.35 The Yoruba words; "ori inu" translate to mean; "inner head." This is a reference to what Jung called the individual consciousness or self. Ori inu is the nucleus of that circle of Forces that creates self-awareness.
In addition to the polarity between ori and ipori, ori inu is the center point of the polarity between ara and emi. Ara is the physical body. Ifa psychology includes the heart (okan) and the emotions (egbe) as part of the physical self. According to lfa, the nature of one's ipori can only be grasped if the head and the heart are in alignment. In other words, the mind and the emotions must be in agreement if spiritual insight is to occur. Similarly, Jung understood that a conflict between the mind and the emotions is one of the sources of mental illness.36 In Ifa this conflict is called ori ibi. It is difficult to make a literal translation of ori ibi, but the term suggests a lack of alignment between ori and ipori. When the ori and ipori are functioning as one, it creates a condition called ori ire. A literal translation of ori ire would be; "wise head." .Jung referred to this condition as individuation, which was his basis for defining mental health.37
Ara or the physical body exists in polarity with emi. The Yoruba word emi means; "breath.” Ifa teaches that the breath of life comes from Olodumare and contains the eternal essence of consciousness. Emi in this context would translate to mean; "soul." The Ifa symbol of self would appear as follows:

chapter eight : solar markets
THIS SERIES HAS BEEN MOVED AND RE-UPLOADED TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT. WHICH CAN BE FOUND HERE. THIS POST STILL EXISTS AS AN ARCHIVE BUT THIS ACCOUNT IS NO LONGER ACTIVE!!
pairing : bodyguard!Din Djarin x afab!princess!reader
rating : 18+ mdni
word count : 5.3k
summary : the mandalorian takes reader on a day trip
warnings, etc. : language, reader thinks about sex like a little bit
It’s nice to wake up excited again.
You wish you could say that it happened more often but hopefully it will from now on. It’s going to be your first time leaving the castle grounds since you got here. You’ve spent the last four weeks cooped up and you couldn’t be more thrilled to finally get to see something new.
As much as you love the library it can be suffocating to spend every single day between those four walls.
So you summon Elaine and Lysa as quickly as possible, grinning as you stand in the mirror until you notice the faint blooms of purple on your waist.
Shit.
You have to rush to find undergarments that will cover them and you’re barely pulling them over your hips as the door swings open.
“Good morning ma’am.” Elaine smiles at you as she grabs a brush, going to stand behind you to comb out the knots in your hair. She snaps her fingers sharply and points to the closet signaling for Lysa to fetch you a gown.
“Good morning Elaine.” You give her a smile, “Good morning Lysa!” You say slightly louder as you watch in the mirror as she brings out a flowy lilac gown. “I’m going out today girls.” You turn to smile at both of them.
“Is that so ma’am? Where are you going?” Elaine speaks as she pulls the dress over your head and begins lacing up the corset.
“The Mandalorian is accompanying me to the markets in the city today.” You try to hold back a bit of the enthusiasm in your voice.
“Mhmm. That sounds wonderful ma’am.” Her head turns. “Go get her a cloak, and then go find Leodall to give her some credits.”
“Of course.” In a rush Lysa threw a light gray cloak onto the bed and darted out of the room. Elaine dressed you in near silence after that, softly humming a song to herself every once in a while as you let her straighten the cloak over your shoulders.
It gives you time to think.
Are things going to be different now? It would be hard to go back to how things were at this point, but you don’t want to have to act like strangers again. You’ve agreed to keep having sex at the very least which is a huge relief, but you also want to make sure that you can still talk to him. Just act normal. Act like nothing is different.
She’s quick with your makeup, doing some simple little accents around your eyes and letting your hair fall around your face in a way she typically doesn’t.
“Even though you haven’t made many public appearances it will be best to keep your face mostly hidden my lady.” She adjusts the hood slightly over your hair to shield the top of your head. You nod slowly.
“Is there a bag I can take?” Is all you have to say in response, you aren’t particularly worried about any threats in the city. After all, you have Mando. Who, now that you’re thinking about it, you have never seen in action. Sure he’s big and imposing but it’s still troubling to think that he might be all talk. He does love to talk. You’ll be fine. He wouldn’t take you into the city if he couldn’t protect you.
Probably.
Elaine throws a white satchel over your shoulders and takes a step back to admire her work before nodding.
“If you’re ready I’m sure he’s waiting for you.” She gives you a grin before leaving. You take a good look at yourself in the mirror, Elaine really does work wonders. You honestly aren’t sure how she does it, it’s not like you’re unattractive by any means but you don’t think you were this alluring back on Hoth.
Is it okay to hope that he notices? That doesn’t break any rules right?
You don’t have long to wonder because Leodall is bursting into the room holding a small leather coin purse. Holding it out to you.
“I wish you had given me more warning princess… this was what I was able to put together on such short notice.” He’s seemingly trying to catch his breath still as you take the purse and open it, your eyes going wide. You were royalty back on Hoth but clearly not this royal. There’s more credits than you could possibly know what to do with inside.
“A-are you sure?” You manage to stammer out, you’re nervous just holding them.
“I mean if you’d like I can see if I can make it down to the vaults but it will take me much longer to get more, how much do-” You cut him off.
“Nevermind Leo. Thank you.” You give him a reassuring smile as you put the credits in your bag and dismiss him with a nod. You slip on a pair of riding boots before exiting the room yourself.
He looks different.
Scarier.
You clearly hadn’t been getting the full Mandalorian before because now there’s somehow more attachments. Ammunition. He’s shinier if that was somehow possible, like he polished his armor for this outing and he’s got a brown canvas bag thrown over his shoulder.
He looks like a proper killer.
Why does that send a rush of heat between your legs?
“Good morning, princess.” He gives you a curt nod.
So far so good.
“Good morning Mando. You look… nice.” You tilt your head slightly, getting a real eyeful of him before meeting his visor.
Okay this is a little more difficult than you thought it was going to be.
Of course it’s harder than you thought it’d be to have a conversation with someone you’ve had impulse hate sex with.
You just want things to be normal. Just friends. You can do this, this is what you wanted so you need to make it work, you will make it work.
“Are you ready?”
“Always.” He turns on his heel to start making his way down the hall and you swiftly follow.
“Will we be walking there?” You can’t stop smiling at the prospect of finally actually seeing other people.
“It’s a bit far for that. We’ll take a speeder.”
“Like a bike?” You can’t hide the excitement in your voice, as he lets out a low chuckle.
“No princess. I don’t think it would be proper for me to take you into the city on a speeder bike. We’ll be taking a landspeeder.” You try to hide your disappointment as he leads you through the twisting halls until you finally reach the familiar front gates. You’d only ever gone in through them when you arrived all those weeks ago. When you went to the garden you had taken back exits. Mando is already talking to a droid near the gate and you can’t catch what he’s saying but he comes back with two silver bands, holding one out to you. “Palace rules, if you’re leaving the grounds you’ve gotta wear it.” He easily clips his on as you fumble with the clasp on yours.
“What are they for?” You can’t help but bite your lip as you try to get the damn thing on before finally he takes your wrist and does it for you.
“Trackers.” He says it like he doesn’t like the taste of the word in his mouth but you choose to ignore it as he walks through the gate, scanning the bracelet as he does so, you follow his lead and then you’re outside. A light blue landspeeder is waiting for the two of you and you take his hand as he helps you get into the back seat before pulling himself up next to you. The driver nervously turns to stare at him but says nothing as he turns back around. “Solar Markets.” Is all Mando has to say in that stern, bounty hunter tone before you’re flying.
It’s annoyingly beautiful.
You’d convinced yourself that Naboo was a place you had been condemned to but it’s stunning. It’s greener than you’d realized and you swear you hear Mando laugh at the awestruck look on your face.
He looks comfortable like this, leaning back, his arms spread out across the back of the seat. You must look like an over eager child the way your eyes keep darting around. You almost want to ask if you can keep riding around for a bit when the speeder stops.
Almost.
But the markets are much more enticing.
Alive and buzzing with people, there’s probably more people just on this street than there were in your entire colony back home. Mando helps you out of the speeder by lifting you up by your waist and once you’re on the ground you pull your hood back up. He leans down to whisper to you.
“No one is going to recognize you, it’s okay.” Is he smiling? It sounds like he’s smiling. You let the hood fall and run your fingers through your hair to try and brush the wind out of it. He holds his arm out and you briskly take it, clutching yourself close to him as he starts walking. It’s almost like a small path through the crowds clears whenever you walk and you immediately regret letting your hood down until you realize it’s not for you.
They’re scared of him.
People get quiet when you walk near them, they whisper, eyes start darting around frantically.
“I didn’t realize you had a reputation…” You mumble, leaning closer to him.
“Not me princess, my people in general. Don’t worry about it, it just means no one is going to mess with you.” He lets out a chuckle as he slows his pace.
“What are they saying about you?” You look warily around the crowds, holding on to Mando’s arm a little tighter.
He fidgets with something on his gauntlet and is silent for a few minutes as you walk before he fidgets with it again.
“Just your usual Mandaloian panic, mostly people worried about you.”
“Me?” You can’t help it when your voice goes up a pitch. It makes him chuckle softly.
“Some people are worried you're my prisoner.”
“Why would people think that?” You can’t help but look up at him in confusion.
“Usually we travel alone, or with other Mandalorians. Or people don’t see us at all, some people are just concerned that I’m holding you captive.” Why does he sound like he’s enjoying that fact?
“Well that’s annoying.” You scoff.
“So, what are we shopping for today?” He tilts the helmet down to look at you as you take in the dozens upon dozens of stands. It’s entirely possible that they will have quite literally anything you could ask for.
“I didn’t actually have anything in mind… can we just look around?”
“Of course.” Okay, he’s definitely smiling.
The two of you arm in arm walk through the first street of stalls. Nothing in particular catches your eye, it mostly seems like antiques and other such things, it must take well over an hour though and as he turns you down the next street you're hit with a wave of different smells as you start your trek through what you figure is the food stands. Your stomach lets out a small grumble since you skipped breakfast for this.
“Are you hungry? Can you eat if no one is looking?” You say softly, turning towards him.
“Someone is always looking. I’ll eat when we get back.”
You can’t help but frown. It passes quickly though as you get an idea. You keep your eyes peeled for a specific stand.
“You called this the Solar Markets earlier?” You say absentmindedly, still looking around.
“Yes. During the day they are called the Solar Markets, at night they do a quick turn around and then open the Lunar Markets.” He’s speaking so softly you can barely hear him and you wonder if he does it on purpose to keep up appearances of a stoic silent killer.
“Will we be able to stay for the Lunar Markets?” You turn to him hopefully and you hear the beginning of a laugh before the modulator cuts off. He takes a second before you hear the filter crackling back to life.
“No princess. I will have to find a way to sneak you out after hours to show you the Lunar Markets.” His voice is tinged with amusement.
“Why? Are they dangerous?” You instinctively squeeze his arm tighter.
“Not at all, we’re just going to have to make sure you don’t have a tracker on when we go, I’m sure I’d get in a lot of trouble if anyone found out you went, we’ll have to keep your hood up for that trip.” There’s a teasing tone to his voice that you don’t get.
“Are you going to tell me why or am I going to have to guess?”
“I think it will be better if it’s a surprise.” He whispers as he pats your arm gently. You’re about to interrogate him further but you see what you’re looking for and drop his arm, jogging up ahead to a stand, handing over what is definitely too many credits as you tell the Gungan running the stand to keep the change, Mando is right behind you when you turn around, you’ve got a big smile on your face.
“Don’t run off like that. Just because nobody knows you doesn’t mean you aren’t precious cargo.” His voice is stern but you don’t let it bother you as you hold up your purchase.
“Look what I got us.” You're beaming ear to ear. “It’s pear and some kind of spikey melon I didn’t recognize.” You hold the smoothie up towards his helmet and he tilts his head ever so slightly.
“Okay…?” He says it slowly like he’s being careful not to hurt your feelings.
“It has a straw! So you don’t have to take your helmet off.” You say it like it’s the most obvious thing in the world as you take a sip. It’s thick, and sweeter than you were expecting but it goes down smooth and you can’t stop smiling as you hold it out towards him.
“That’s very kind of you princess… but it might affect the presence I’m trying to put out if I’m walking around with a straw under my helmet.” He sounds serious as he says it which makes you lose the smile as you think again for a moment.
“Okay. I need to tell you something.” You take his hand and pull him just behind the stall, out of sight of most of the people.
“You’re confusing me princess.” He laughs softly. “What do you want to tell me?” He puts his hands on his hips and you hold a finger out to make a “come closer” motion.
“I have to whisper it.” He sighs as he leans down so his face is next to yours and your mouth is where his ear would be. “Release the airlock on your helmet.” You whisper it and he starts to pull back but you put your hands on his shoulders. “Please. Just for a second.” He lets out another exasperated sigh but after a moment you hear a hiss of air and you bite back a giggle as you bring the drink up between the two of you and shove the straw under the edge of his helmet, you use your body to shield him from anyone passing by. If anyone looked it would look like you were just whispering a secret to him. There’s a moment where you’re worried you’ve gone too far but then you hear a quiet slurping noise and you know you’ve won. After a moment he pulls back and you can see through the clear cup that he’s downed a solid quarter of it. The air hissed as he resealed his helmet.
“Happy?” He has a mock tone of defeat as you grin.
“Extremely.” You take his arm again and lead him back into the crowd as you sip at the drink lazily while you walk. “Did you like it?” You don’t bother concealing the satisfaction in your voice.
“It was a little sweet for me… but yes.”
“I knew you would. I’m always right.”
“Don’t get ahead of yourself.”
“Do you come here at night to buy food or do you just get stuff from the castle?” As you speak you walk over to a pastry stand and drop a pile of credits into the young woman's hand as you take a few small cakes and cookies and put them into your bag, waving off the change again.
“I usually just eat ration packets back at my cabin.”
Full stop.
“Why aren’t you getting food from the kitchens?” You take a step in front of him, staring up into his visor with your arms crossed. You’d had ration packets plenty of times back on Hoth when they were unable to get cargo ships in. They were filling but honestly you’d found them gross most of the time. You didn’t like the idea of him relying solely on those when he had so many other options available to him.
“I never thought to do so. I’ve always just eaten rations packs.” He sounds almost bored with the conversation as you glare up at him. You want to scold him but you know he won’t listen so instead you make a mental note to pick up a few things while you’re here. You take his arm and start walking again. “Do you need anything else from this street or do you want to go to the next one?” He whispers it like he’s unsure if you’re mad at him.
“I’m done here, we can go to the next one.” You keep it light, not wanting anything to ruin this day as he brings you down the next street. This is easily the biggest, most crowded area. It seems like the majority of the vendors set up shop here and you’re having trouble focusing on any single stand as you start your slow trek. A particularly sharp burst of color catches your eye as you approach the stand. The Toydarian manning the shop seems nervous about Mando but you ignore it as you start searching through the plastic flowers.
“We have the gardens at home, why the hell do you need fake flowers?” His eyes are looking around the shelves as he speaks and you find the plastic lilies you were looking for.
“I had these growing up. I just want some for my room.” You can’t help but smile at the idea of having a piece of home back in your chambers, as you hand the shopkeep the credits you catch Mando also handing him some as he shoves something into his bag. You don’t ask because once you leave another stand has already caught your eye.
“Oh no. You’re not getting that.” He’s groaning as you run up to the droid selling vibroblades.
“Come on, they’re all so small I won’t be able to do much damage with one anyway.” You’re peeking through the display case at the knives, settling on a simple dainty one, it’s entirely silver, handle and blade. The droid retrieves it the moment you point it out and you hand him the credits as you put it into the sheath provided before shoving it into your bag.
“Why do you even need that? You have me to protect you.” He puts a hand on his hip but you just take his arm and push him to keep him walking.
“Just for emergencies. Don’t worry about it.” He sighs as you keep walking.
“What emergency? You have a state of the art locking system on your door and a state of the art bodyguard.” He sounds almost offended and you burst into laughter.
“Please don’t tell me you’re jealous of a knife.” You can hear a little huff of air coming from the modulator.
“No.” There’s that bounty hunter voice.
“Oh come on, don’t be jealous, I promise I like you more than the blade.” You poke his pauldron as you tease him.
“I’m not jealous.” He scoffs out.
“Just making sure.”
You spend the rest of the day in the third street of the market. It’s massive, you don’t even get a chance to see every stand. You aren’t even sure you’ve seen half of them. Around midday you take out one of the little cakes you’d bought and eat it, offering him half but of course he declines. You buy a lovely crystal vase for your faux flowers, a few other little snacks you find and several bowls with sealable lids. You’re sure that purchase has Mando raising an eyebrow but he doesn’t say anything.
You’re exhausted by the time the sun is lowering in the sky but you don’t want this day to end. You can tell he’s about to call it as you see a stand that catches your eye and you drag him along to it, you can feel a slight resistance as he realizes where you’re dragging him but it’s too late because you’re already talking to the woman folding fabrics at the entrance.
“Do you by any chance have other wares I could peruse in the back?” You give her a smile as she looks warily between you and the Mandalorian before nodding and taking your hand. He starts to follow but you put a hand against his chestplate.
“You’re not going anywhere without me.” His tone has gotten all stiff and bounty hunter serious as he gently takes your wrist and removes your hand.
“I’m trying on clothes. You need to wait outside.”
It’s way too tense for such a simple request. You can feel the shopkeep trembling behind you but you don’t drop the glare you’ve got trained on his visor. You don’t know how long you stand like that. Scowling at each other. Definitely too long but eventually he sighs and takes a step back.
“Ten minutes. If you don’t come out, I’m going in.” He points a warning finger at you but plants his feet and you know he’ll stay put as you give him a big grin before following the woman into the back.
It’s exactly what you thought it would be.
A lot of the stuff was classier out front but you knew there would most likely be skimpier options where the public couldn’t see them. You started looking through the shelves of lace and silk. You’re only doing so for a moment before the woman is clearing her throat.
“Are you okay, miss?” Her voice is small and timid as she looks over her shoulder anxiously. You raise an eyebrow in confusion.
“Yes…? Why do you ask?” You look away from the woman as you find a shelf exclusively containing green fabrics. Jackpot.
“It’s just, I don’t mean to intrude but- but I’ve never seen a…” She leans in to whisper. “A Mandalorian traveling with someone before. I just want to make sure you aren’t being held against your will. Such a pretty young woman, accompanying such a dangerous man.”
Oh.
Well you should have seen that coming. You give her a reassuring smile. You want to be offended on his behalf but maybe you just didn’t truly grasp how afraid people were of him.
“I’m perfectly safe ma’am, he’s my friend.” She nods slowly, seemingly satisfied with your answer as you hold up a particularly revealing piece. A satiny green two piece set. They could probably pass as pajamas if the bottoms weren’t practically just panties. You put it over your arm as you look for something a little more racy. “Is this everything?” You turn to look at her again.
“No miss, but we don’t bring out what I think you’re looking for until after sundown.”
Oh. That’s why you weren’t staying for the Lunar Market.
“Ah, okay. I’ll be sure to come back for that at some point. Thank you so much for being so accommodating” You hand her half of your remaining credits and her jaw is practically on the floor as you make a swift exit, shoving the clothes into your bag. Finding Mando just outside. He’s in nearly the same position except now he has a small bag in his hands. You pay it no mind as you go to take his arm.
But you miss it completely as someone grabs your other arm pulling you in the opposite direction.
“I haven’t seen you around here before, are you new in town?” It’s a human man with long black hair, he’s got welding goggles strapped to his head. You try as gently as possible to shove him off.
“No, I’ve lived here for some time now, and I should be getting back to my friend…” You’re about to point to Mando hoping that would scare him off but the man is putting a hand around your waist and starts walking you down the street.
“Oh come on sweet thing, why don’t we just walk for a little bit, maybe you can show me what you bought from that stand.” You can hear his hot breath against your neck as he leans closer and you’re about to reach for the blade in your bag but you don’t get too because he’s already on the ground.
You don’t have anytime to realize what’s going on until it’s already happening.
“ Give me a reason to do it. ” Mando’s already on top of him, blaster pressed to the bottom of the man's jaw. His voice sends a chill down your spine, if you thought that the stern tone he used on most strangers was his bounty hunter voice you were horribly wrong. This was his bounty hunter voice. When the man didn’t respond you watched as the barrel of the blaster pushed a hair deeper into the man's skin.
You should probably unpack at some point why you find this so attractive.
Maker, would it be inappropriate to ask him to recreate this later in your chambers?
You don’t register what the man mumbles as Mando reholsters his blaster. Standing up and facing you. You do happen to catch the next words the man mutters as he gets to his feet, unlucky for him Mando catches the words as well.
“Have a good night with your whore, jackass.”
The crack of the punch is so loud, you’re absolutely certain that Mando broke his jaw. The man drops to the ground in an instant and your Beskar companion simply shakes his hand out once before offering you his arm again. You take it as you try to avoid looking at the crumpled body of the man.
Stars, you don’t know if you’ve ever been this attracted to someone.
As a friend. Obviously.
“You get everything you need?” He says as he starts backtracking you down the market street. He’s alarmingly casual.
“Yes. I’m ready to go now.” You give him a nervous smile as you walk, trying to  enjoy the sun setting on everything.
It’s hard not to talk about it.
But it’s probably for the best all things considered, if you start reliving that memory, who knows how long you’ll be able to resist dragging the Mandalorian into an alley and getting on your knees.
On your way out you tell him you want to stop and grab some things for dinner, if he notices you buying more food than you could possibly eat he doesn’t mention it. He doesn’t even say anything when you make him carry it. It’s a quick ride back to the castle and you can feel the exhaustion taking its toll as he walks you up to your chambers. Leo is waiting for you in the hall to take your tracker bands, Mando mumbles something about losing his but you pay him no mind as you hand Leo yours, telling him to inform the girls that you won’t need them, they can have the night off, and with that he departs. Mando helps you into your room and helps you set your things onto the bed.
“Did you have a good day?” He’s gentle again. Nothing like his tone when you were in public. It makes you smile, like he saves it just for you.
“I did. Thank you, for everything.”
“So you aren’t stressed?” He doesn’t look up, he’s setting a few of the bowls you’d bought out on the bed.
“No not at all, why? If you’re worried about the guy, don’t be I didn’t even have a second to process what was happening…” Your voice trails off as you realize why he was asking.
You idiot.
This is Purely Stress Relief.
Your rule.
You want to take it back immediately but he’s already standing up straighter, and you know you’ve already missed your chance.
“Do you need anything else or should I leave?” He says it with the same tone of disappointment that you currently feel.
Damn it.
You stupid, stupid woman, less than an hour ago you were gonna jump his bones in the street and now that you’ve got him alone you just blew your chance to… well, blow him .
Whatever. It’s for the best. It would be weird to have a really great day out together and then come home and have sex anyway. That’s something a couple would do. And that’s not what this arrangement is. But you can’t let him leave without executing your master plan.
You start opening the food containers and scoop half of everything into the bowls, sealing all of them before rummaging through your bag for one of the little cakes, setting it on top of the three sealed bowls, stacking them.
“Here.” You hold it all out to him and he just stands there for a moment.
“You don’t have to-” The voice that comes out of the filter almost sounds small.
“I know I don’t have to. Now take it, I’m ordering you to go home and eat actual food.” You shove it into his arms and he starts carefully tucking it into his bag.
“You don’t have the authority to order me to do anyth-”
“Shut up. For once, about that.” You give him a stern look and you both stand awkwardly across from each other. You aren’t really sure what he’s waiting for but finally he reaches into his satchel and hands you the small bag he had been holding earlier.
“I bought this for you earlier while you were trying on clothes. It made me think of you.” He doesn’t even give you a second to say thank you before he’s out of the room, closing the door gently behind him. You stand there dumbfounded for a moment before you open the bag, looking down at the contents.
You reach in and hold the necklace in front of your face so you can get a good look.
It’s a simple leather cord but what really catches your eye is the tiny charm. It’s a little silver outline of a flower hanging from the band. A little flower.
Sarad’ika.
You’re glad he didn’t linger to watch you open it because you have to hold back tears.
Even though he didn’t stay you can’t help but smile as you started nodding off. Closing the food containers before grabbing a few things, retreating to the closet. You lay down in your nest of blankets, setting your book down next to you as you stare down at the charm in the palm of your hand. You don’t think you ever had a day this fun even back on Hoth. No one had ever put this much thought into a gift for you. No one had ever defended you like that before either, he had even drunk what you offered him… Your fingers played with the small silver charm as you carefully tucked the necklace between the pages of The Smitten Paladin.
It was probably the most lovely day you’d ever had.
A specific scrawled line of text catches your eyes as they dart to the rules scrawled against the back inside cover and you slam the book shut, shoving it into your pillowcase for safekeeping.
No Romance.
Fuck.

The Michigan Medicis of Donald Trump’s America
Left, clockwise from top left Blackwater founder Erik Prince; U.S. Sec of Education Betsy DeVos (Prince); philanthropist Elsa and Prince Corporation founder Edgar Prince. Right, philanthropist Hellen and Amway co-founder Richard DeVos; standing, businessman Dick DeVos.
If you ever wondered where the weird Republican ideas came from or how did we get here, well, here's a piece of the puzzle. Buckle up, it's a long read. Link to full article above. I pulled out quotes on topics below.
"In the solar system of elite Republican contributors, Richard DeVos Sr., who died Thursday at age 92—one of the two founders of Amway, the direct-sale colossus—occupied an exalted place, and his offspring did too. Since the 1970s, members of the DeVos family had given as much as $200 million to the G.O.P. and been tireless promoters of the modern conservative movement—its ideas, its policies, and its crusades combining free-market economics, a push for privatization of many government functions, and Christian social values. While other far-right mega-donors may have become better known over the years (the Coorses and the Kochs, Sheldon Adelson and the Mercers), Michigan’s DeVos dynasty stands apart—for the duration, range, and depth of its influence."
Conservative think tanks, advocacy organizations, and colleges
Grand Valley State University; Calvin College, attended by several generations of DeVoses, including Rich’s daughter-in-law Betsy DeVos, Northwood University, her husband Dick’s alma mater. Hillsdale, the libertarian-plus-Christian liberal-arts college in southern Michigan.
Other recipients of DeVos largesse: the Heritage Foundation, the Institute for Justice, and the American Enterprise Institute
"The DeVoses’ preference for “values-oriented” candidates reflect the teachings of the Christian Reformed Church. A small breakaway denomination of its Dutch forerunner, it has some 300,000 adherents in North America, many living in the same western-Michigan towns where their immigrant ancestors settled in the 1840s to pursue a faith.."
SCHOOL REFORM: Who can forget Betsy DeVos’s campaign to undo the state’s public-education system and replace it with for-profit and charter schools that, as she had put it two decades earlier, shared her mission of “defending the Judeo-Christian values"?
“[Among] her big ‘accomplishments,’” says Diane Ravitch, the N.Y.U. professor and respected education historian, “have been reversing civil-rights enforcement for kids with disabilities, putting administrators from for-profit colleges in charge of monitoring for-profit colleges . . . stabbing in the back young people with heavy debt for their college education, and being a constant critic of public schools.” One saving grace, Ravitch contends, is that DeVos has gotten very few of her budget proposals through Congress.
LABOR UNIONS: Another target was labor unions. Amway and the Prince Corporation had no use for them. Now the family waged a public fight. After Dick DeVos was routed when he ran for governor of Michigan in 2006, he blamed his defeat, in part, on Michigan’s unions and began to push for a right-to-work law (weakening the unions’ economic power and political clout, a pillar of the state’s Democratic Party). In 2012, the bill got through, and Michigan—headquarters to the United Automobile Workers, no less—became yet another of the country’s right-to-work states.
FAMILY: "Betsy and Erik’s father, Edgar Prince, was a Chrysler-Plymouth salesman and then machine engineer who started a die-cast business and also had a tinkerer’s gift for inventions. One, the lighted vanity mirror on the flip-up sun visor (introduced in 1972), helped Prince become one of the wealthiest men in Michigan." (wow) "As he got richer, the elder Prince rewarded his hometown handsomely; Prince money has done much to preserve downtown Holland, which remains a 1950s time capsule of Candy Land façades."
The C.R.C.’s greatest figure, Abraham Kuyper, a Dutch theologian and prime minister who died almost a century ago, had declared, in words the faithful know by heart: “There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, Mine!”
The Princes and DeVoses—with neighboring homes in Holland—had effected a merger thanks to the 1979 marriage of their firstborn, Betsy Prince and Dick DeVos, then in their 20s. “Bible-reading jet-setter” was the description in a Detroit Free Press profile of Betsy.
Tumblr media
Betsy and Dick own a 22,000-square-foot mansion on Lake Macatawa.
ERIK PRINCE was devoted to his father, who doted on him. He played four sports at Holland Christian and was the proudly straitlaced kid who, without being asked, put away the soccer balls after practice. Prince enrolled in the U.S. Naval Academy in 1987 but was shocked by the frat-house atmosphere—too much for a junior culture warrior who’d been an intern at the Family Research Council. After three semesters, he transferred to Michigan’s Hillsdale College.
Today Hillsdale, under its president, Larry P. Arnn (former head of the Claremont Institute, a citadel of far-right ideology), is known as a feeder school for the Trump administration, including Betsy DeVos’s chief of staff, Josh Venable. In May, the week Vice President Pence gave the commencement address there, Politico called it “the college that wants to take over Washington”—citing many alums who are now D.C. power players.
In 1989, Erik had been invited to a “youth” inaugural ball for Bush—and there had met Joan Keating, the woman who would become his first wife. Prince even worked as a Bush White House intern. “I saw a lot of things I didn’t agree with,” he later said. “Homosexual groups being invited in, the budget agreement, the Clean Air Act, those kind of bills. I think the administration has been indifferent to a lot of conservative concerns.” He left that job for another, in the office of California congressman Dana Rohrabacher, who has often been called Vladimir Putin’s top Capitol Hill asset, so valued, the Times has reported, that he was given a Kremlin code name.
Prince spent four years with the SEALs in the early 90s but moved on after his wife was diagnosed with cancer and his father, aged 63, died of a heart attack. The elder Prince left behind a business with 4,500 employees. The family sold it for $1.3 billion, and Erik, at 25, now had a sizable inheritance.
One of Prince’s instructors in the SEALs, Al Clark, was also looking to set up a security-and-defense training company. Prince had money to invest. Out of this came Blackwater, which began as an instruction facility for law enforcement, the military, and special-ops squads in Moyock, North Carolina.
The article goes into detail about Blackwater and it is mind-blowing. Their involvement post 9/11, Russian arms dealings, US government contracts,
"The source says he resigned after he discovered that Prince had approved plans to illegally weaponize aircraft and “actively train former Chinese Red Army personnel that are now being deployed into Pakistan, Thailand, Myanmar, and the Uighur region in China”—actions he perceived as supporting foreign interests above America’s. (Other Prince associates reportedly resigned for similar reasons.) Prince firmly denied the allegations."

♍︎ Virgo: Self love and self care are at the front of the line for you now. Taking care of your body naturally can fly in the face of conventional belief to outsource your body to an external authority. Rebellious fashion choices may suit you. People sticking to beliefs that don’t hold any weight can get under your skin. A fresh idea you hadn’t considered can inspire smarter choices in building and balancing your money and resources.
♎︎ Libra: Trust issues could be in the spotlight for you now. What people project is highly revealing. Your senses will tell you a lot more than usual this week. What you believe and wish to believe could flip when faced with practical reality. Gathering information will help you make sense of what seems unbelievable. What window are you closing and what door are you opening?
♏︎ Scorpio: Your strength, will and determination are enhanced. You feel in your element when you are taking charge. Passion and virility increase. Information you decipher can change your goals. You have a rebellious streak that asserts your power. What you say can have a strong impact on on who is listening. The eclipse brings you new beliefs.
♐︎ Sagittarius: The urge to set out on a new path is with you this week. As you set a new intention you will see what types of people are suited for your plans and realize who is not. The way others cooperate in relationships will give you many clues. Peer pressure could get to you, but your own path is the one to be measured for growth.
♑︎ Capricorn: You could feel a strong inner fire of change happening with you this week. Energy in your social life could feel intense. Increased enthusiasm for discovering what is unknown makes you quite a sleuth. Virility is increased. The cooperative approach in your business and career relationships is in focus this week. What truth was revealed? Learn more about natural health and beauty. What are marketing illusions?
♒︎ Aquarius: This week has positive new potential for you. It could be nice to see from a birds eye view. What you believe can manifest. Visualize to see the path. Investigate. Inquire. Ask Questions. Being psychic isn’t for everyone. Explore both sides of issues to get to the truth. Write down ideas that come from your dreams and daydreams.
♓︎ Pisces: How you feel and what you say and do manifests in your relationships. A stubborn view or set of rules can cause rebellion in a loved one. A dream or psychic flash in a daydream could alter your way forward. What you think is set to change which pushes you in a new direction. Expect what was unknown to become visible now.
Thank you for being a friend.

Mighty Solars in Taken Away From Me Ch. 6
Tumblr media
Back in the woods, Terry was stretching his back after waking up. He then turns to see the spot where Cheery was sleeping at, only to find her gone. Terry gasp and rushes over there.
Terry: Oh no. lifts up the blanket that Cheery had Cheery?! Cheery?! Cheery, where are you?! CHEERY!
Suddenly, Terry sees the Emeralnites’ symbol on the ground and sees footprints of the guards. Looking where it leads to, Terry develops a determined look on his face and suits up. Two hours later, Terry made it to the lair, where he hears talking behind the walls. Terry peak with his hearing as he began to overhear Ophelia and the guards talking while Cheery is still asleep.
Ophelia: You idiot! You were supposed to get Mighton with her!
Zalthor: My empress, I conquer that this Mighton is very dangerous. If we lead him back here, he’ll keep on beating up more Emeralnites!
Guard #3: We found this at the market. shows a broken soup bowl with a little splotch of plum colored blood on it
Ophelia: He did this?
Guard #1: Yes my empress. Mighton was at the market stealing soup when he refused to pay for it.
Guard #2: He attack the vendor m’lady. He is proven to be too dangerous and must be put to sleep immediately!
Ophelia: Good. Just as I wanted. But first, we must find Mighton, looking back at Cheery before this little brat escapes again.
Cheery: wakes up as she gasp and looks around Terry? Where are you? looks up and gasp after seeing Ophelia and the guards
Ophelia: Oh good, you’re awake. Think you would never wake up.
Cheery: shuddering Where’s Terry? What the fuck have you done to him? gets grabbed by Zolthar
Ophelia: Don’t worry about your pathetic rescuer. He is not going anywhere, once we find him! laughs evilly
Zolthar: That’s right, your superhero is about to fucking deadmeat once we find him and drain his energy along with the other prisoners?
Cheery: What?! You’re gonna drain our life sources?! Why would you do this?!
Ophelia: Isn’t it obvious?! When I was young, our planet wasn’t so popular, so we found another alien race and uses their energy to make us more recognizable and powerful! But then, a few years later, alien population has started to wipe out and all was left of it was that pathetic, worthless, piece of shit planet Shlorp. After it exploded, those 100 adults and their replicants escaped and scattered across the globe. While they do, four Shlorpians and their Pupa crash landed on Earth and I knew it was the right picking. Earth had so many life forms, until they all relocated on Earth-4 and started their new lives there. It was so fucking frustrating smashes a mirror in rage so I tracked them down and I knew it was only a matter of time before I started kidnapping goddamn humans one by one, until those motherfucking Mighty Solars arrived and fucking ruined everything. I only captured 80 people and when Quasarblast came, they were hard to kidnap since we know how powerful his powers are. Even his family. Ugh. But then, I decided to take away the most important person that he loves the most….. HIS FUCKING DUMBASS HUSBAND, MIGHTON!
Terry/Mighton: gasp silently
Cheery: Oh my God. What?! Qausarblast is Mighton’s husband But, how did you figure out their identities?
Ophelia: Simple. I’ve been watching them the whole time, bitch. I know everything about them, their flaws, their weaknesses. Everything that I needed to know.
Cheery: suddenly began to reach her breaking point for the first time as she growls You…. you bastard! grabs Ophelia Everyone that you held prisoner is gonna fucking die because of you!
Ophelia: That’s right, I’m gonna wipe out all the humans, and those five pathetic aliens too!
Cheery: punches Ophelia in the face I’m not afraid of you anymore, you fucking monster! I’m gonna go find Mighton, and then he’ll stop you once and for-
Suddenly, Cheery gets thrown by the wall by Zolthar as she gets knocked out unconscious as Terry gasp and growls. Terry smashes the walls with his super strength and bust the walls open.
Terry/Mighton: Leave that girl alone you motherfucker!
Ophelia: Ah good, right on time. Guards!
Suddenly, one of the guards throw handcuffs at Mighton’s hands as he gasp. Zolthar then taser Mighton by the neck as he growls. Terry gets up and manage to swoop Cheery in his arms as she moans. Ophelia and the guards laugh evilly. Terry starts panting as he began to grow tried and collapse. Ophelia smirks and snaps her fingers for the signal.
Ophelia: Get Mighton and this pathetic fucking whore into the dungeon cell and make prepare for the ceremony. Our time has come.
Back with the Mighty Solars, the heroes made it to the lair but then saw the prison cells where the missing humans are in.
Sherbert: Oh my God! Guys, those the people that disappeared!
Korvo/Qausarblast: Quick everyone, untie them! Stat!
Yumyulack/Vil-Gil-An-T and Jesse/Fung-irl: On it!
The Mighty Solars and their human friends help free the captured humans. The humans were grateful that the Mighty Solars and their allies save them.
Prisoner Lady: Thank you so much. You heroic aliens saved us!
Yumyulack/Vil-Gil-An-T: Well, we can’t take all the credit, we had some help. pointed to the human allies
Jesse/Fung-irl: Now let’s get out of here and find Mighton before-
Suddenly, a holographic video message shows up on top of the town screen board and in the prison cell with Ophelia on it.
Ophelia: Hello, Mighty Solars! I am Ophelia, the dark empress of the galaxies! I’ve been hoping, waiting and looking for you Shlorpians all my life. But now, I finally did!
Korvo/Quasarblast: Cut the shit out! Where’s Mighton?
Ophelia: I’m sorry Qausarblast, but I’m afraid you can’t see him just yet! Wouldn’t tell anyone about the new evil plan I was hoping for.
Yumyulack/Vil-Gil-An-T: What?
Ophelia: Now that I have some of the humans and Mighton, I can finally finished what I planned a long time ago. I will not only rule over this world but all of the galaxy! evil laughs
Jesse/Fung-irl: What?! No! You’ll never get away with this!
Yumyulack/Vil-Gil-An-T: Fung-irl is right! We’ll stop you!
Ophelia: Stop me? I can say a demonstration is in order! shows a machine Behold
Ophelia presses the button and it shows a giant machine that destroyed a nearby planet. Everyone are terrified by this outcome and realizes what must be done!
Yumyulack/Vil-Gil-An-T: Guys! We have to stop him! He’s crazy!
Korvo/Qausarblast: whispering I-I don’t believe this! We were so focused on saving Terry, we couldn’t see what was right in front of us.
Jesse/Fung-irl: Guys! What do we do now? Wait, where’s Mighton? What have you done to him?
Ophelia: Oh don’t worry about him, I’m about to take care of him, permanently.
Korvo/Qausarblast: gasp
Yumyulack/Vil-Gil-An-T, Jesse/Fung-irl and Pupa/The Mighty Pupa: No!
Ophelia: Hope you see him die soon……..
Ophelia laughs evilly but inside Korvo’s head, all he can do is shed tears of despair as he looks back at the happy memories of him and his beloved Terry. Suddenly, Korvo’s eyes glow green as something starts to happen to him. Everyone grows shock and surprised as they watched Korvo undergo a new upgrade. Ophelia, before she can go find Terry as Cheery struggles to break free, looks back at the mentor and gasp in shock
Ophelia: No, it can be.
A green aura surrounds Korvo as he began to have some kind of power up just like when Anne develops her calamity form from the Amphibia episode True Colors.
Ophelia: He’s still connected to his crystal! But that’s impossible!
Principal Cooke: What’s going on?
Jesse/Fung-irl: I don’t know! Maybe it’s a Shlorpian thing!
Korvo’s body then turns all black with aquamarine eyes and aquamarine glowing inside of his mouth. He develops bat-like wings on his back, he develops horns and his teeth became monsterous fangs as he gets up with a revived sense of bravery inside of him.
Yumyulack/Vil-Gil-An-T: That is not a Shlorpian things!
Super Shlorpian Korvo/Qausarblast: Give him back! Give…. him…… BBBBBBAAAAACCCCCCKKKKKKK!
Korvo powers up, grabbed the Replicants and Pupa and flies up to stop Ophelia and rescue Terry and the other captured humans.
Jesse/Fung-irl: calling down Don’t worry about us! Meet us at the top!
Principal Cooke: calling up On it!
The humans and the prisoners follows the newfound super Shlorpian and his family as Ophelia growls in fury and smashes the intercom.
Ophelia: That’s it! I’m getting rid of those Mighty Solars once and for all!

I wouldn't be surprised if black has a crap-ton of mirrors hidden in his room
Might not even be hidden, with how much pride he puts into himself!! (short story under the cut)
"Oh, jeez..." Black muttered to himself as he flipped through the pages of his book.
It was hot on the market right now- a real hit with the population of Planet Bomber. And, right now, Black understood why.
"I think i've fallen in love with you, Marie. Which was a massive mistake on my part."
"Why, dearie? This romance is not a mistake to me."
"It's not a mistake to me, either. But..." Black stared violently at the book as he flipped the pages, his focus unwavering as he invested into the plot.
"I can't dodge the draft. The government's coming to get me in a few days, and i'm....I'm so weak. I don't know if i'm going to come back or not."
"Oh....!"
'I can't believe people posted about crying to this nonsense,' Black thought to himself despite his eyes beginning to water.
"If this is the last time we ever see each other, the last time our lips meet...I want to appreciate it as much as possible, my love."
Black's eyes began to water. The story doesn't end like this, right? The pages are running out. If her husband dies, like that...
"Hey, Black!"
All focus was shattered instantly as White barged in (without knocking, incidentally).
"We need you to- Were you crying just now?" He interrupts himself to question Black.
"What?! No."
"Okay. So, I need you to look after Yellow and Aqua while me and the other bros go fishing."
Oh yeah. Fishing. Doesn't suit a pretty guy like Black. The bait is nasty, the water is nasty, and the fish are nasty. So when White talked about the trip in advance, he already said that he didn't wanna go.
"Why aren't they going?"
"Aqua said that the hook hurts the fish too much, and Yellow wants to draw instead. So they're staying here with you, and I want you to look after them."
"But I don't wanna-"
"Great. Thanks, Black! We're off!"
The door slams shut. Black hears the ship leaving outside.
Goodness.
A good thirty minutes or so passes in silence, before...
"...Um....Eldest brother?" He hears Aqua's voice through the door. "It's a little lonely. May we stay in your room for a little bit?"
Black makes an imprint in the page he was on before shoving the book under his bedsheets.
White's gonna get it when he gets home.
"It's not surprising that you'd want to be in my gorgeous presence. Come in, Aqua!"
She doesn't say anything in response to Black's officious efforts to seem cool, instead opting to open the door slowly and walk on in, Yellow in tow.
"Wow...your room is clean!!" Yellow looks around.
"Only the most luxurious rooms for me, Yellow. You shouldn't be surprised."
He sits up- possibly to keep them from messing with any of his things.
"Wow...is this a garden?"
Aqua points at the miniature greenhouse located at the right of Black's bed. It emits blue light, and is covered in glass. Inside are a set of red roses, covered in water as if they had been misted with care not too long ago.
"I thought you didn't like dirt."
"I don't!" Black walks towards Aqua as they look at the flower garden together. "If you look closely, you'll notice that these flowers are grown with a new hydroponics-related substance."
"That's awesome, Black!"
"I know," the smug bastard replied.
"Wheee! Ahahaha!!"
Black turned around to notice Yellow striking various poses in front of his full-body mirror.
"I wish I had a mirror like this in my room! Do you have any to give me, Black?"
Black knew that he had more than enough mirrors in his room, but...
Actually, no, he didn't. It would take a whole solar system of mirrors to accurately capture his beauty, or so he says.
So, Black responds:
"I'll think on it."
"Weehee!! Yayy!!" Yellow jumps for joy. And then,
"I have an idea! We can get all the mirrors together and then make a maze out of them!"
"Really?"
"Yeah!! Black!! Black!! Can we borrow all your mirrors? What if we set it up before everyone gets home? Then, they can play as soon as they get here!"
"And, these flowers are really pretty. Can I have some to use in my crafts?"
Black sighs to himself.
Well, an impromptu mirror maze would be funny to freak White out with.
And Aqua seems content, at least. So....
"Yeah, sure, whatever."

Ghost in the Machine
Tumblr media
It was hard to reconcile, at first. The feel of it.
He’d find himself standing around, in places his feet had wandered to but where his mind had paid little attention. Drifting like atoms on the solar wind. On one afternoon he found himself barefoot in the library, the darkened must of the shelves rousing him back to his senses. Had he been sleepwalking? He wondered. He turned and found a shaft of sunshine pouring in from the south-side window. Not asleep. Daydreaming, then. He’d been lost in a mathematical algorithm that it was taking him embarrassingly long to figure out. He frowned, and wandered back out of the library again. He went to put on the kettle and make himself a cup of tea.
Another time, he found himself in the bathroom, staring dead-eyed at his reflection in the mirror. He’d scrub down the stubble of his beard, letting out a sigh. Then, chin wet, he’d lift a razor to scrape along the width of it. The glint of silver caught in the light. The foam of the shaving gel smelled minty, with a sharp and manly tang; not unlike the one he’d used to buy, from a market stall on a Luxon trading vessel. He wondered about the can he’d left behind. He wondered if his other self had managed to use it all up yet. There’d only been half left, so far as he could recall. Perhaps he had.
More often than not, he found himself in the garden. Pete’s manor was a maze, and he was drawn outside – to fresh air and birdsong – as a kind of call of the wild. He felt a little less anxious out there, for some reason. He supposed he was used to endless space above him, back home; cavernous ceilings and a complete and utter lack of dimensional containment. The wide open Earthen sky came as close to a TARDIS interior as he was ever likely going to get. For a good long while, at least.
On this particular occasion, he was strolling along slowly, his shirtsleeves rolled up as he meandered amongst the rose bushes. He thought about picking one. But, as he’d paused by one of the larger shrubs and reached out to stroke the petals, he’d done it again. He’d got lost.

summary : the mandalorian takes reader on a day trip
warnings, etc. : language, reader thinks about sex like a little bit
A/N : i had to change accounts so this is a re-upload of my ongoing fic bks!!
No Romance.
Fuck.

Direct and Custom Indexing Approaches
Tumblr media
Financial professionals use indexing to compile a portfolio that mirrors the performance of a specific benchmark or market index. There are two primary forms of indexing: direct indexing and custom indexing. The best approach for indexing depends on several factors, such as flexibility.
Indexing differs from other strategies, where professionals pick companies they believe will outpace the market. Instead, they focus on investing a small portion of total allocations in many companies on an index, providing diversification and broad market exposure.
With direct indexing, financial professionals purchase stocks and securities to create a portfolio that is directly proportional to the actual index. The portfolio replicates the performance of the target index, such as the Dow Jones Industrial Average or S&P 500.
Direct indexing replaces traditional formal index funds. Brokerages developed them to overcome high transactional fees, seeking to diversify holdings cost-effectively. Rather than taking separate positions in the 500 companies on the S&P 500, with their associated transaction fees, investors invested in an S&P 500 index fund.
Transaction costs have declined, and advanced computer algorithms allow investors to own and organize positions directly across index stocks without investing in an intermediary fund. Therefore, directly owning the positions confers tax benefits since investors can harvest their losses. By contrast, investors can only harvest losses when their aggregate positions veer negative at the aggregate fund level. Frequent trading can optimize the capture of tax losses, given expected equity market volatility, and boost after-tax returns by as much as two percent.
Custom indexing differs from direct indexing, which exclusively mirrors existing published indexes. The investor still owns positions directly but according to individual criteria and parameters. For example, investors weigh a custom index toward a specific asset class or size of stock and underlying company. They can also incorporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) screens that ensure the index closely aligns with investor values. For example, investors can weigh a custom index toward renewables like wind and solar.
In addition, custom indexing tracks a specific index without employing the same index components, such as stocks. Through a custom indexing approach, the portfolio manager selects and combines a variety of bonds, equities, and other types of securities that deliver sought-after exposure to the index. Such a structure may provide tax benefits and further reduce transaction fees.
Flexibility in indexing is also important for creating exclusions at various levels. The approach makes sense for investors with significant exposure to an industry or specific stock with other investment accounts. Investors have holdings tied to specific industries. For example, some technology executives hold stock options linked to specific tech companies. In this situation, custom indexing allows investors to avoid specific company holdings or shift allocations toward other sectors while broadly following the target index.
Lastly, custom indexing enables factor-based investing approaches emphasizing stocks with specific traits, such as those with less earnings volatility or above or below-average price-to-earnings ratios. Multi-factor overlays may combine complex factors within index holdings, such as quality and value, and deliver a customized yet well-planned portfolio.

Solar Tracker Market Size Worth $29.31 Billion By 2030
The global solar tracker market size is expected to reach USD 29.31 billion by 2030, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc. It is expected to expand at a CAGR of 26.2% from 2023 to 2030. The market is expected to witness substantial growth over the forecast period owing to the growing need for renewable power generation. Solar tracker is installed on a PV system to get an increased energy output during the day. PV system trackers help to minimize the angle of incidence between incoming light and panel, thereby increasing the amount of energy produced. In Concentrated Photovoltaic (CPV) technology, a large part of sunlight is focused on a solar cell using an optical device. Concentrating light requires direct sunlight, thereby limiting this technology to clear locations.
The single axis type segment is predicted to witness significant growth from 2022 to 2030. Single axis trackers are more economical than dual axis trackers and easy to maintain. Single axis trackers are less expensive compared to dual axis trackers, therefore, are widely employed in residential and commercial applications. Reduced non-renewable energy consumption, improved efficiency, and lower CO2 emissions are likely to drive the solar power generation market, and thus the market is expected to witness significant growth over the forecast period.
The dual axis type segment accounted for the largest revenue share in 2021 and is projected to exhibit the highest CAGR during the forecast period. Dual-axis trackers comprise two degrees of freedom that act as an axis of rotation. The axis fixed to the ground is considered the primary axis and the one referenced to the primary axis is called the secondary axis. Dual axis trackers have modules that are oriented parallel to the secondary axis of rotation. Dual axis trackers allow maximum absorption of the sun’s rays on account of their ability to follow the sun both horizontally and vertically, thus generating 8% to 10% more energy than single axis trackers.
Solar PV technology held the largest revenue share in 2021. The simple design and cost-effectiveness of these trackers make them ideally suited for most PV applications at the utility level. In addition to cost-effectiveness, trackers installed on PV modules occupy less space as compared to the CPV and CSP technologies. The PV technology trackers do not require any additional lenses, mirrors, or sterling energy to generate electricity, thereby making them suitable for use in non-utility applications.
North America accounted for the largest share in terms of volume and revenue in 2021 and is expected to witness significant growth over the forecast period, considering the growing demand from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. However, high initial investment and low cost of conventional sources of energy are likely to restrain market growth in North America.
