इसरो ने जानकारी दी है कि उसके सूर्य मिशन आदित्य एल1 ने आज सफलतापूर्वक कक्षा बदल ली है। इसरो ने रविवार को सुबह करीब 11.45 बजे पहली अर्थ बाउंड फायरिंग की जिसकी मदद से आदित्य एल1 ने कक्षा बदली।

अब आदित्य एल1 पृथ्वी से 22, 459 किलोमीटर दूर है और अब अगला मैनुवर पांच सितंबर 2023 को किया जाएगा। इससे पहले शनिवार को इसरो ने पीएसएलवी सी57 लॉन्च व्हीकल से आदित्य एल1 को सफलतापूर्वक लॉन्च किया।

Rain on the Sun? Yes, but it's not water - it's plasma! This happens after an eruption on the Sun produces both a Coronal Mass Ejection and a moderate solar flare at the same time - then plasma in the nearby solar corona cools and falls back down. We call this coronal rain. Because they are electrically charged, electrons, protons, and ions in the rain were channeled along existing magnetic loops near the Sun's surface, making the scene appear as a three-dimensional sourceless waterfall. Shown in ultraviolet light, it highlights matter glowing at a temperature of about 50,000 Kelvin. Each second in the featured time lapse video takes about 6 minutes in real time, so that the entire coronal rain sequence lasted about 10 hours. Recent observations have confirmed that that coronal rain can also occur in smaller loops for as long as 30 hours. 7/25/20 - The Big Bear Solar Observatory is located on the north portion of Big Bear Lake, CA. This Solar Observatory was built in 1969 by Caltech. In 1996, the New Jersey Institute of Technology took over this Observatory. The Big Bear Solar Observatory is currently closed due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. In the past, free tours used to be offered here on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the summer months and the 2nd Thursdays for the fall, winter, and spring months. With my love of photographing sunrises and sunsets, I hope to visit this Observatory after the COVID-19 pandemic is behind us.
