Incorrect F-Zero Quotes- Season: 2- 03: Black Shadow shows-off his "French Ship"
On the F-ZERO TV stage, Black Shadow makes an announcement in front of the viewers, his rivals, his henchmen, and his fans.
Black Shadow: And now, feast your eyes on the most amazing display you'll see all evening. Hit it, Zoda.
Zoda pulled up the rope opened the curtains and reviled a ship.
Black Shadow: Ta-da!
All the pilots stared at the ship. Mr. Zero walks up to Black Shadow.
Mr. Zero: Black Shadow, what does have to do with tonight's event?
Black Shadow: French Ship! It's a French Ship. Can't you read? While all of you are busy dancing and showing sissy flowers. I was building the real thing here! An exact replica of a 1914 French Warship. Yeah! And it comes with usable cannons. Show 'em, Deck Hand! *Blows whistle*
Blood Falcon: Qui, Qui, Capitaine!
Blood Falcon shoots the cannon balls and one of them landed straight to Capt. Falcon, Dr. Stewart, Pico, and Samurai Goroh damaged their seat in half.
Mr. Zero: Uh, Black Shadow it's not "French Ship" it's "Friendship".
Black Shadow: *Rubbing the back of his head * "Friend"? "Friend". "friend". Oh, "Friend"! Right, of course! Use it in a sentence.
Mr. Zero: Black Shadow, this is rather awkward but. *touches Black Shadow's shoulder* Do you know what "friend" is?
Black Shadow: *Smacks Mr. Zero's hand* Don't be silly! "Friend". As in a big medieval monster that devours villages?
Then one of the pilots calls out on Black Shadow's dumb views.
Dr. Stewart: *Laughs* That's a "fiend"!
The pilots and the fans started laughing at him.
Jody: We tell you. But that's what dictionaries are for. *continues to laugh*
Pico: It's so ridiculous.
Black Shadow is embarrassed.

theres actually a few cool camp lazlo fanarts on pixiv (its still mostly strange deviantart-core "i'm 8 and have unsupervised internet access" stuff) and its always neat to look at cuz the japanese artists have a look that comes from the visual culture around them that gets woven into the art
(too bad i dont know japanese so idk whats going on in this image)
(source) (this person draws uncle grandpa mainly its kinda awesome)

The second oldest throwback schedule I've done as of yet: CN UK May 2006 (Source: https://web.archive.org/web/20060525093718/http://www.sky.com/skycom/tvguide/0,,560-0,00.html).
This was during the CN City era, which lasted from April 2005 to May 2007 in the UK (2004 to 2006/7 in the US) and you can tell from shows like Xialon Showdown and Atomic Betty. It's interesting how Billy & Mandy and Foster's Home were getting more primetime slots (and possibly more slots overall) than Ed Edd n Eddy, despite the show outlasting them both and even being aired the longest of the three (non-consecutively). "New Show" The Batman with a single primetime slot at 7pm just before Xialon, which has 3 daytime slots overall. I say "New Show" because I'm pretty sure the series was likely airing on Toonami before it was on CN, as the former was more action-oriented and had stuff like Megas XLR & Samurai Jack, as well as getting Beyblade after it was moved from the main network.
A lot of new content premiering that year actually. Plenty of Robotboy reruns, despite having debuted only a few months prior. Johnny Test was likely shown on weekends through the "Saturday Jungle" block, along with Coconut Fred which was removed the same year by the looks of it. Strangely no Ben 10 or Camp Lazlo, which kind of shows how behind we were compared to the US feed, who at the time had some of their best weekly schedule lineups. Also no Powerpuff Girls which somewhat makes sense as that show had already ended the year prior, but still odd as Dexter maintained at least one morning slot outside of Cartoon Cartoons.
The nighttime schedule wasn't anything special, as usual for the time period. Just 6 to 9 hours of Cramp Twins, Gadget Boy and Ned's Newt, in addition to 30 minutes of Atomic Betty which was odd to see.
Overall, it's an okay schedule but I can't help but feel bummed out that it wasn't as varied as I'd expect for the era. An absolute far cry from the US feed at the time, which appears to be the usual in most cases (minus the mid to late 2010s). The most notable (and strangest) omissions here are Juniper Lee, Ben 10 and Camp Lazlo. My Gym Partner's a Monkey supposedly didn't premiere until later on for some reason, so that explains the show's absence, but it doesn't for the other three. Unless they were on weekends like Johnny Test (my source only gave me the weekday schedule), I find it really odd how they just didn't air them that week, though knowing how inconsistent the UK feed has been, it would be fair to assume that they'd return shortly for new episodes or something.
#will also add that Pokemon was mostly on Toonami#it only aired through the main network on ocassion#or weekends idk#cartoon network#classic cartoon network#2000s cartoons#cartoon network shows#throwback#cn city#ed edd n eddy#fosters home for imaginary friends#cartoon network schedules

So far, I have THREE "Splatoon fake nostalgic TV adaptations that will sort of be an ARG where I treat them as real and may be an open-source thing where people can join in on it" ideas. One's a cartoon from the 90's or maybe even early 2000's that's kind of like SpongeBob SquarePants, Camp Lazlo, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and My Life as a Teenage Robot, an OVA from 80's, 90's, or even early 2000's too, or an anime series that switches from comedy, action, slice-of-life, and adventure.
I need to get to this.

Gotta say–Daffy and Schroeder are a funny pair of characters to simultaneously feel strong kinship with (I mean this in the most lighthearted way possible!)
LOL NO YOU RAISE A VERY GOOD POINT!!! if it’s any consolation (or clarification? maybe?) i likewise feel a deep kinship with Porky who is just as oxymoronic to Daffy and… maybe? a little closer to Schroeder in being more reserved? or i could just be saying that because Daffy is his own category
I DO TEND TO RELATE TO MORE EXUBERANT CHARACTERS (please suppress your gasps and surprise, i know this is a shocking development when i am metaphorically yelling into the screen right now) and when asked to label characters i relate to, SpongeBob and Lazlo of Camp Lazlo fame are others i’m very quick to default to… but in Porky’s case i relate deeply with his stubbornness/impressionability/general bumbling awkwardness among others that i can’t think of at the moment.
and of course as i said before i can really empathize with Schroeder’s obsessive personality, with that steadfast obedience to said obsessions being a shared source of inspiration and frustration/inconvenience for others. the running gag of “14 days until Beethoven’s birthday” in the comic strips is like. i can’t even be like “haha silly boy he’s so crazy about Beethoven” because i have done those exact same countdowns and celebrations for the most menial things. JUST LOOK AT MY BLOG! and i likewise feel this in my bones with my own relationship to art, which, at the end of the day, is the driving source of motivation for everything and anything you see on my blog.
for better or worse Daffy still takes the case for Most Identifiable With (good grammar Eliza)… but i guess that’s not really much of a surprise when my entire online identity is curated around using Daffy themed pseudonyms or icons!
#which speaking of i need to get on making a new icon for the new year… i love my old one but it’ll be 3 years old!!!#anonymous#asks

ok i still have no idea if there's a Source on joe murray saying camp lazlo takes place in wisconsin (as per the wiki) (you know how the wiki is) and i was hesitant to believe it at first, but ngl in doing research for stuff i do Completely whether or not its actually true, just because of how many really specific things Just Make Sense. i don't even want to consider anything else at this point and i would in fact be estatic to know if it Was actually said somewhere and i somehow haven't stumbled across it
#talk#camp lazlo#i'll have to elaborate better when i can and after i sort my notes because it's kind of crazy perfect actually#i know there's some info on joe's old website pages but i haven't been able to look through them very easily cus of my device#and the current archive fiasco#my province's setup actually reminds me quite a bit of wisconsin's so i do have a good reference for ''going up north''#and the drive up there#we have less in the middle but the south is more urban and the north is more rural until you get to the very top#i've gone on so many different wisconsin spiels already to my friends here though help me...#it's very funny how attached to the idea i've become#the other option is definitely california based on joe's experience at camp but i will be honest i find that kind of boring/default#where are all the cartoons taking place in wisconsin huh...

feels like with any fixation to media ive been through theres a point in which i let go from only consulting the source media and start to "play my way" and make headcanons and stuff, its real interesting
ive started kinda making up little headcanons in my mind for camp lazlo, specifically with samson and maybe some friendship with him and edward
i kind of still staunchly stick to the ground rules of the lore though, and wouldn't really make something up if it didnt sound like it made enough sense to me

Boone attempting to teach Raj how to swim
In this imaginative scenario, Boone, a unique character conceived as a Glowkie-Infernite hybrid from the Mixels universe, takes on the role of a swimming instructor. Boone's character is likely a creative fan-made addition, as Mixels is a LEGO toy and animated series featuring various colorful creatures. In this context, the storyline involves Boone attempting to teach Raj, a character from the animated television series Camp Lazlo, how to swim. This crossover scenario showcases a playful merging of characters from different fictional worlds, adding a whimsical touch to the narrative as Boone, with his Glowkie-Infernite hybrid traits, imparts swimming lessons to Raj.
The dynamic between Boone and Raj in this swimming lesson scenario introduces an element of humor and creativity, as fans weave together characters from diverse sources. Camp Lazlo, known for its quirky and comedic storytelling, likely lends its characteristic charm to the interaction between Boone and Raj during the swimming lesson, creating an entertaining and imaginative fusion of two distinct fictional universes.

at the Flashpoint Archive, more than 200k additional games and flash animations have been archived as well. you can visit it here:
Flashpoint Archive is a community effort to preserve games and animations from the web. Internet history and culture is important, and the web is evolving at such a rapid pace that what might be commonplace today could be obsolete tomorrow. This project is dedicated to preserving as many experiences from these platforms as possible, so that they aren't lost to time. Since December 2017, over 200,000 games and animations have been preserved across more than a hundred browser plugins and web technologies. In addition to our preservation efforts, we also provide a highly flexible software package for reliable navigation and playback of preserved content. Among the software that powers Flashpoint is a fully-featured launcher that acts as a frontend for the collection, a proxy that tricks games into thinking they're running on the live web, and a sandbox that allows for secure playback of plugin-enabled content - all of which are open-source software.
enjoy the internet as it used to be and start archiving stuff being made today so we can hopefully enjoy it in another 20 years.
you used to be able to play games on cartoonnetwork.com . . . now every company's website wants to give you spyware and spread corporate propaganda but I REMEMBER when you could play a BEN 10 adventure game in-browser without so much as giving away your e-mail. people's heads should be on pikes for this
