I was browsing through the Paranatural tag when I saw a post talking about a certain "Sphinx of Crimes" that Zack Morrison apparently hinted at on their Patreon page, and it made me think. Assuming that this Sphinx is the antithesis of the Sphinx of Rules, the same way the golden Sphinx seems to counteract the Sphinx of Truth, does it mean that the Sphinx of Pacts also has an opposite ? The Sphinx of Betrayal, maybe ? I don't know what I'm getting at, but I thought it was worth mentioning...

a concept that I don't know if it's genius or insane: the zonai created the oocca as livestock (sky chickens) but when the zonai went extinct , the oocca slowly evolved to be intelligent and took over the sky cities. This is why TP's city in the sky is in such disrepair. The oocca can't fix it with their lack of hands, and they never built it. It also explains what shad says about the oocca being 'gods that may have created hylians' being similar to what Zelda says about the zonai, shad is just lacking information.

Headcannon that sphinx just uses his adventure as an excuse to study various monsters, like " damn i have to go to uruk? Wow guess I'll have to make sure to mark down every single monster that lives there and their behaviour. For purely practical reasons of course, what if i forget how to fight them? That would be really inconvenient, so i need to study every habitat and subspecies, for fighting purposes, "know your enemy" and all that"

Why? Because i firmly believe that he carries a little notebook because of the little descriptions of the monsters when you catch them, those descriptions have so much personality, sphinx as a protagonist has so much personality

I cannot believe that the Peekaboo truthers were right all along!! That's like the 5th wacky theory that I completely dismissed out of hand that turned out to be true lmao. Never would've guessed that the PTA's big evil plan hinged entirely on manipulating a toddler.

That said, there's still a lot of room to speculate about the situation. Does the Peekaboo inside Dimitri have the same exact powers as the one inside the Dreamhub? What about the fragment of it that seems to be inside of Davy? Are they all fragments of one larger wight that was carved up 13 years ago, or somehow different instances of the same spirit? How many fragments are there in total? Is Davy responsible for it being in pieces to begin with? Does Spender's shadow spirit factor in here at all, or is it a piece of an unrelated puzzle? Why is Peekaboo's dream-room an old ship? Could his actual body be in a sunken ship at the bottom of the lake, like Davy Jones' Locker in his spirit trance?

The stickers on the locker in Davy's spirit world could be a hint about the different Peekaboo's locations.

a ghost (possibly just a reference to Peekaboo himself? or something we don't know yet)

a ZZZ (Peekaboo in the Dreamhub)

a star (Starchman??)

Notably absent is any reference on the locker to the piece that Dimitri has, unless he's somehow represented by the star, ghost, or wolf. (The lack of an obvious link from the locker to Dimitri was my main point against the Peekaboo theory before. oops)

Marco, otouto ga ijiwaru kara yo! In the anime they gave the child with the red band on a yellow hat a little brother.

But was it originally supposed to be "Marco, your little brother keeps bullying me!" ?

(which is still not exactly the same nuance as the feeling I get in French : Marco, ton/mon petit frère est méchant avec moi!)

Mushroom Kingdom Yoshi Extinction And Rewilding 1

So there is a location known as Yoshi Desert which has a Yoshi Sphinx in it. This more than likely places it being part of Desert Hills and around Dry Dry Desert, since like I discussed in a previous post that's where we can find Yoshi Sphinxes. But that begs the question, why are there Yoshi Sphinxes in the Desert of the Mushroom Continent.

Well as discussed in a previous post, the brochure for the Cascade Kingdom reveals it's one of the last places dinosaurs can still be found. This would imply dinosaurs such as Yoshies used to have a greater range than they do now. This is further backed up by Yoshies once living on Isle Delfino but now also being extinct there as well. So there Mushroom Continent probably used to have Yoshies on them until they went extinct.

This would explain the fruits/berries found throughout the Mushroom Continent especially in the Grasslands. These fruits always seem to be Yoshi's main source of food, and thus they are probably here because Yoshis once lived here. In other words fruits are like the Avocados and Squash to the Giant Ground Sloths and Wooly Mammoths, but for Yoshis.

So in a previous post I mentioned Yoshi and friends seemed to have moved to the Mushroom Kingdom sometime after SMRPG. I also mentioned in my Dry Dry Desert post that in SMO in the distance you can see what looks like a valley. I think this could be Yoshi Valley with being located between the 2 main areas where Yoshis once roamed. The Grasslands and Desert Hills. Yoshi Valley is also known as the Wild Yoshi Sanctuary, this was probably set up as a way to rewild the Mushroom Kingdom with Yoshis. They would more than likely have brought Yoshis over from Dinosaur Land to do this. Edit, Dinosaur Land is actually located in the Mushroom Kingdom, and thus the Yoshis from Dinosaur Land would have been brought from these islands to the mainland. Explanation

Myth and Popular Culture

In this article, I would like to proceed by explaining what is myth and popular culture. Myth is a value system embedded in society and culture can be explicated as institutions that are propagated by society. In this article I would like to enunciate certain terms that program my writing and they are:

a) Abracadabra complex

b) Mesmer complex

c) Freud complex

(d Sphinx Complex

a) Abracadabra complex

Abracadabra complex is the magical influence exerted on the individual and its various forms are driven by social media and advertisements. Now what does social media and advertisements do?  They feed on the ego through a brainwashing manipulation. They embark upon a mental Halloween. With the advent of social media, humanity has become a slave of it. Yet there are some good features of social media that are fruitful as they picture news ignored by the mainstream media. Social media manufactures awareness of accessibility. Advertisements create an experience of adarchy (advertisement and anarchy). The individual is at a loss to make the right choices. Products are sold as manufactured consent.  The owners of social media and advertisements are driven by Nietzsche’s will to power and power and becomes as  a saleable commodity, a fetish of purchasing power.

(b Mesmer Complex

This is the second factor in Myth and Popular Culture. I would like to explain it by using Hegel’s master and the slave dialectic. The master and the slave is a dialectical relationship between myth and popular culture and the consumer. The relationship is a two way process of where the bourgeoisie capitalists are the masters and consumers are slaves. This is process of power sharing. The ego of the bourgeoisie is addicted with power strategies to make the sales optimum.  The master feeds on the narcissism of the slave. He propagates the myth of culture-stasis a peculiar condition of dominating the slave with the masturbation of tantalizing visual and sound content.

(c Freud Complex

Freud complex is a psychiatric aspect and the product sold by the bourgeoisie capitalist and it embodies a fetish deviant of attracting products. He perpetrates the catchy Aphrodite slogans, sexy Venus glitter and Zeus thundering sounds, all leading to the capitulating of interest. There is a collective narcissism of the ego and a gaffe of slavish psychosis which make the slave hooked on to the Gothic imagery and creating a feeble condition of cultural voyeurism.

(d Sphinx Complex

Sphinx complex is a peculiar phenomena of attachment felt by the consumer towards a product.  The consumer is forced to make choices from a plethora and here we have to examine whether it is the advertisements which make a mental surgery to hoodwink the subject in buying of a product. The choice that a consumer makes is highly irrational and is dependent on the upward-spin-tail of voyeuristic entertainment.

Has anybody ever mentioned how the WG basically created all the Emperrors?

Whitebeard had to became a pirate because his homeland Sphinx was raided for not paying the tribute and he was ophaned.

Big Mom had her Mother Carmel backstiry where she was only kept there for Carmel to sell her as an agent.

Kaidou was kidnapped to be a child soldier. On top of this, all of these people were in Rock's crew and achieved more fame after he died because of the goverment

Teach was Whitebeard's cabin boy and he gained infamy by becoming a warlord first, Buggy is the same thing, but with Roger's crew.

Shanks was also Roger's apprentice but we also have the Figarland Shanks theory so in that context the CD abbandoning him created everything. (Edit as of 2025: I was indeed correct)

And of course, Luffy was inspired by Shanks and I'm pretty sure that Garp's parenting made him pretty anti marine from the start. Also Ace's and Sabo's (pretend in the latter case) deaths were caused by the WG.
