Nature: Clovers and Shamrocks
May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.

Slainte!
This clover illustration is from a 1528 book on the distillation of the waters of herbs for medicinal purposes. The word slainte means "health" in Irish and is a salute said before consuming a drink with another person to wish good health to that person or persons. This book lists trifolium or clover as having medicinal properties which are being studied to this day. I'm not saying drink your clover this St. Patrick's Day, but I do like the connection.
The vertuose boke of distyllacyon of the waters of all maner of herbes, 1528. By Hieronymus Brunschwig.

By the power of the Gods and the Untiring Ones, I am eleven years sober today.
(What? How? Being the resounding thought in my head – though, see the answer above! This past year has been another full of challenges and internal growth that makes me want to pull out my lovely long hair, but even with that – even FOR that – I am grateful.)
Gratitude also to everyone who’s held my hand along this path, and happy St. Paddy’s too – be careful if you’re out there, and spare a thought for the richness of Irish culture, if you can.
Go raibh maith agaibh as mo shaol 🍀

Traffic Light Trio St. Patrick's Day
MK puts on Green Bandana and starts paint green clovers on his cheeks.
Red comes in wearing Mei's jacket.
MK: Oh Hey Red, are you wearing Mei's jacket cause it's St. Patrick's Day?
Red Son (Confused): What is St. Patrick's day? Is it a holiday where you steal others jackets?
MK: No, it's a day where you wear green and... wait, Mei stole your jacket?
Red Son (Unimpressed): Yes she stole mine and left her's behind in it's place.
MK: Huh, I know Mei get's a little weird on this day but I wonder why-
TV's and Bill boards suddenly turn on, with Mei wearing Red Son's coat, that now sports many clover stickers on it.
Mei: WHAHAHAHA I am Green Son and I have taken over the weather station, and today I'm going to make it rain green all over the city. HOHOHOHOHO.
MK (Groans): Oh noooo....
Red Son: I still don't get what this St. Patrick's Day is about...
