the thing is that every time i listen to i can't help falling in love i can't help but think about dean and cas, but most exactly about twist and shout, and how wonderful that fanfic has been in my life. idk man, i was only fifteen when i read it (i'm twenty-five now) and my life hasn't been the same since. and i'm not even talking about the narration or grammatical things, or else. it's simply a fanfic that has stayed with me since the first time i read it and although it's difficult to digest, there's something about it that makes it so bittersweet. perhaps it has to do with the tragedy and the love that is expressed in it, or the social context. i don't know honestly.
i also don't want to fall into the cliché that this fic accompanied me in difficult times and was always with me at all times, but it's true that it has something.
do you remember when you were little and you read le petit prince by antoine de saint-exupéry for first time and it had one meaning, but then you read it when you were an adult and it had a very different meaning? i guess that's t&s for me.
the way you can imagine dean and castiel in such a calm setting until everything is completely ruined and starts to get worse and each time it's worse than the last time and so on until the end as life itself is. and yet in the end they never stopped loving each other, the world simply wasn't fair enough to them.
This is a little reflection of what we did last Friday, when we went scuba diving at the Laguna. The water is so crystal clear during the day--it was scary to go at night! I think scuba rules dictate that that's NOT allowed? The light from those bioluminescent fishes was a great help, though. They're like a night-light when I sleep in my sea-bed, warding away those scarier things that rise from the depths.
