• I’ve had this idea for a while but StrikeMaster Ice wouldn’t dare anyone unless the entire gang was cool with them — had to meet them while he was a pizza boy or at the monastery. They’d have to be in his shenanigans and/or be a villain too.

• Maybe it’s just me or since he’s kinda… short but pretty calm I think he earns the title “short king” ;-;

• I think in every 4 firmed group there’s a weird one, the leader/fighter, the chatterbox/loud one and the smart friend. You’d have to mix with the weird one or at least vibe with them.

• He’d allow you to watch over his shoulder as he beats Mc Cobra in the video game. When he loses, he’d hand you the game and watch you beat Cobra. Gotta help the fool. Also in math because he can’t do basic math.

• Just make sure to never give him flowers — he wouldn’t appreciate them long enough before he burns them by accident. I always forget that mf has an allergy to them.

• If you somehow refuse Drago’s powers he’d probably get upset that you don’t want fire powers but he’d still love ya. Gotta love you strong if he’d date you as a demon and/or human regardless.

• “It’s over Drago! You can’t deny destiny! You know the future!” “You cannot deny these nuts!” These one liners would definitely make the trio snicker. Remember, these are teens. Crude English and jokes is something that sticks to them.

• Don’t sleep near him at night. Mf definitely kicks around in his sleep. Rip your spine if you think you're getting held or not.

• I definitely picture StrikeMaster Ice with an abnormal s/o. If you had any weapons or explosives to use on the Chan’s, just give the 4 demons a warning before throwing them. You’ll definitely get scolded and burned from Drago which Ice can’t save you from. He might be able to save you from a certain situation but Drago’s fire isn’t that.

• You’d be the one to negotiate between Ice and Drago to avoid any fights. Drago respects you vouching for Ice but dislikes you for somehow seeing something in Ice. Love was a strange and blind sighted thing for humans and he didn’t even wanna know or hear about the relationship.

• Make sure not to hug or kiss in front of Drago before he chucks a car at the two of you for “getting distracted”.

• The two of you make a living of bullying Drago sometimes or making destruction in the junkyard which Drago despises. Due to your dynamics together he had to make a new rule that no one else can have a s/o — especially if they are like (y/n).

• “You know they don’t like you. They don’t appreciate you. You can change and join our side, (y/n).” “Pause, what’s so fun about working for the government?”

• The goons aren’t as kind or loyal, the 3 boys stuck together like glue. Their bond with you will only stick if you’re with Ice. Unless you’ve been around them for more than a year.

• Careful when you get caught trying to take the Chi from Jackie and the others. If you happen to get under fire by the hero’s, he’d definitely won’t be able to save you. We’ve seen them fight. Completely incompetent. Tough luck getting outta that situation.

• If the Ice Crew needed an easy way out it would definitely be you as the driver. Just careful with your drifting — the Ice Crew don’t wear seatbelts and just kick their feet up. It would especially save you from catching on fire from Drago.

• “Man, Section 13 got more agents since the last time Drago snuck in. That’s a bitch move.”

• Drago would get annoyed by the two of you but unfortunately get used to you two. Although both of you are really pushing his buttons.

• He isn’t so much of a romantic. StrikeMaster Ice is a teen. He used to view love as a joke and gross and something to avoid and only hang out with his boys until you entered his life. He’d act more like a close buddy but still a bit inexperienced with love. Don’t expect to have a clingy boyfriend or much pet names. (He’s cringe but he’s such a cute dork).

• He gives me 90’s high school boyfriend dates. Probably watch him and his crew skateboard, listen to music in someone’s car. Or Photo Booth; maybe a kiss on the cheek. In one pic but the rest is you two flipping off the camera. He would teach you to skate as long as you teach him how to fix some knickknacks with him like fix the stereo he found in the junkyard.

• He might allow you to put stickers on his board. Just maybe. He might get annoyed if they’re cute stickers but he might allow them.

• Don’t point out his acne. It’s something he had to look over since high school. He did but ever since he started dating you his attention was brought back to it again. Just give him hugs and comfort him. That’s the least you could do to him. He doesn’t seem to be the one to ask favors within the group.

• When it came near the finale where they all split the Chi between each other, it would be easier to split. It all depends how close you are with Ice. You might be close to him but a girlfriend is just a girlfriend without any connection or chemistry that is unbreakable. Careful where you stand with him, he’s two faced and can easily discard you.

I dont have time to rant much about it but JCA season 5 is off to a sucky start. Im glad there's only a handful of episodes left because man it's really lost the charm at this point.

First off, maybe most important even... why the fuck did they straight up ruin the theme song???? For WHAT reason!! They removed the first few measures of build-up from the song so the intro just BEGINS right in the middle, but the animation still plays from the beginning, so you have this intense music replacing what used to be a snippet of "urgent mystery." And seriously, for WHAT REASON? They don't add anything to the intro animation!! In fact it's actually shorter because they put Jade and Uncle's animations side-by-side rather than separate. Yet not only does it play the whole song, but it has to awkwardly loop one of the parts because it isn't long enough! I think they did this so the intro credits could have a few more seconds to show off a few more names lmao, which is just terrible. It's not like JCA had a boppin theme song but it got me in the mood! And now it just looks and sounds so bad, the action doesn't line-up, ugh.

Drago is an interesting concept for a villain but his ineptitude and attitude as a child/teenager makes him unimpressive as the main villain. Honestly the series has a had hard time since season 2 making new villains feel like proper successors; the move from Shendu to Shendu and his demon siblings was an AWESOME transition of power/stakes, but Daolong and Tarakuda were lackluster. Drago has way too many one-liners for a guy that gets kicked into walls by Jade.

That last point is another problem, which is that the action went back to being lazy again lol. It picked back up in season 4, but it's returned to season 3 levels of "just guys hitting each other," with not enough circumstance and environmental fighting. Jade doesn't have to do any tricks or kiddish maneuvers, she just kicks people around; Uncle zaps people with his magic fish while Tohru becomes less and less competent.

And oh Tohru, god they've made him a giggling child. It's honestly disturbing how little of his old self still seems around. I legitimately wondered if he went back to having Jade's chi like in that vampire episode lol, he's just so childish and naive now. A real bummer since Tohru was for sure one of the most compelling characters.

The Enforcers aren't around : ( Bad move, these are just such good and funny characters, and their replacements are simply not worthy. It IS funny to see Strikemaster Ice make a comeback, I wasn't expecting that lol, but him and his two buds are nowhere near as interesting as the Enforcers. Additionally, their Drago-given dragon-forms are just sooooo ugly, oh my god. Considering we already did the "turning henchmen into super-henchmen" thing once before, this is pretty hard to look at, clearly the inferior take on the idea. It's taken lifeless characters and made them look even more lifeless, harder to tell apart, and with nothing making them unique; when the Enforcers became Dark Chi Warriors, they had individual weapons that made them varied as fighters, but these guys are all just dragon things with fire powers, it's a real downgrade and just straight-up looks worse.

So this might be a disappointing end to JCA. I think what's unfortunate is that the series had so much innate charm that the writers didn't capitalize completely on, I genuinely think they just didn't have the creativity to make strong and emotional episodes that an adventure series like this needs. I think A LOT about one particular quote from Alex Hirsch... a show ten years ahead of JCA lol but still relevant. Alex explained that when writing an episode for Gravity Falls, the episode couldn't just be "evil tooth fairy," it had to be a compelling plot about, like, Mable loosing her teeth, or going to the dentist -- there had to be a human character arc that made the evil tooth fairy aspect have context and relevance. JCA badly needed this sort of emotional touch and thinking, because they clearly understand what COULD make the characters more compelling, but they failed to weave that into the episodes themselves. Take the episode about Jade's birthday -- which has NOTHING to do about Jade's birthday, other than it's something she keeps complaining about while they do typical episode stuff. In a better written version of the episode, the plot of Jade's birthday would be interconnected with things happening, it would serve a purpose -- but it's just a random element here, a random point to put pressure on the characters, that ultimately goes nowhere related to the rest of the episode.

Anyway I do love this show but after watching it almost completely, I suppose I do understand why this show didn't retain popularity. The first two seasons are great, but not so fantastic that it shines through its later, less impressive seasons. My brainrot tells me so many ways this series couldve been way more interesting lol, but something like this is super unlikely to inspire any remakes or reboots, so, it is what it is. A cute toon. The ultimate question I have to ask is: is it better than Kim Possible? It isn't. Kim Possible claims another head.

Strikemaster Ice-

A young man with a lot of boiling resentment for his lot in life, Andrew Fitzgerald was born to a single mother who died when he was very young. The only person who truly helped him through the loss of his mother was his best friend Evie, who later went missing in the third grade and he presumed was dead which really messed him up. His grandparents raised him up until the point where his deadbeat father returned, demanding money. His grandfather refused to give the man anything and was assaulted. Andrew tried to intervene to save his grandparents but was beaten as well. When the man realized he was looking at his own son he called Andrew a mistake that was lucky to have been born. He quickly left when he heard the police sirens. Andrew was hospitalized from the encounter and when he woke up he learned that his grandfather had passed away due to a heart attack triggered by the beating he had received. Andrew vowed to find a way to become stronger so that no one could beat him like that again, further compounding his hate for the world to the point he sought out the Zu monastery in Bhutan where he learned martial arts with DJ Fist and MC Cobra until they were expelled for their violent outbursts.

MC Cobra -

Shane Grey spent nearly all of his life in an orphanage. Orphaned at the age of two when a drunk driver ran a red light and hit the car he and his parents were in, killing his parents. all Shane has left is his mother’s locket and a worn old photograph of them holding him as a baby. He met DJ Fist when he was five years old and they have been inseparable best buds and brothers ever since, even passing up adoptive homes when they only wanted him and not him and DJ together. A Technical genius good with delicate and intricate work but not too bright when it comes to social tact Shane was taken advantage of by the orphanage staff who were looking to make money off his skill. He left with Desmund to Bhutan to get away from those who would use them for profit while they suffered. They later joined Strikemaster Ice at the Zu Monastery, learning martial arts until they were expelled for their violent outbursts.

DJ Fist -

Abandoned at a park at the age of Six by his parents, Desmund James Rodriguez (aka DJ), met his lifelong best friend and brother MC Cobra at the orphanage Cobra was being raised at. Des doesn’t speak because of his abandonment issues, if he does it is because he trusts that person completely and he has something important to say. He is an incredible listener and is the most mature and debatably the most responsible one of the Ice Crew. An engineering genius he can build nearly anything from scrap metal and make it look good. He was taken advantage of by the orphanage staff who were looking to make money off his skill. He left with Shane to Bhutan to get away from those who would use them for profit while they suffered. They later joined Strikemaster Ice at the Zu Monastery, learning martial arts until they were expelled for their violent outbursts.

Victoria Venom -

A short and very skinny young woman with black hair and blonde ends, Gertrude Evelyn Frankenburger absolutely despises her name and prefers her middle name. Her mother and sister disappeared when she was young leaving her alone with an overly abusive father who nearly killed her. From kindergarten through third grade, every night Evelyn would catch a trolley across San Francisco and go to Strikemaster Ice’s home, climbing up a tree to sneak in through his bedroom window. He would treat her injuries with a first aid kit he kept in his desk drawer and they would sleep in his bed together so that she would be safe and protected. She would sneak back out and go home every morning before her father woke up so he wouldn’t know she had been gone. In third grade CPS had removed her from the home and moved her far away, leading Andrew to believe she had died because no one would tell him where she was. They were reunited years later when the Ice Crew came to San Francisco and they were pickpocketing for money because they were starving. Evelyn offered them a place to stay and food to eat. Ice calls her Evie when he thinks no one can hear him and she calls him Drew in return. Their friendship remains incredibly strong and Strikemaster Ice can be incredibly overprotective of her.

Pit Viper -

On the run from her psycho micromanaging mother and an arranged marriage she wants no part in, Lilith Abernathy was born to the stupidly rich Abernathy family. Having been suppressed her whole life Lilith has taken on an extreme dark look, dying her honey colored hair black and neon blue-green with many piercings, even going so far as to having her tongue surgically split to make it forked like a snake. She has adopted a violent personality as a protective front against anyone who would threaten or harm her and her friends. Underneath all the anger and violence is someone who is loving, incredibly sweet and very loyal. She particularly enjoys loving all over MC Cobra at any given chance with all sorts of affection and kisses and adores any affection she receives from him in return. If she could she would purr. Also baking is her thing. Especially when stressed. Lots of stress baking. So many cakes and cookies. DJ steals most of the cookies though.

Roundabout -

Emma Swann is an incredibly successful underground DJ in the harder styles of music. She is always around and about giving her the nickname ‘Roundabout’. Her home life wasn’t terrible but she was mostly ignored as a child. Sweet, quirky and loud describes this pointed eared strawberry blonde. She hides a big secret from everyone, including her boyfriend DJ Fist.

I know, I know." Where's Spike's Character Ref, GK?!" " When are you going to post Spike's Character Ref?!" I'm still working on him, I already have his head done, I just need to figure out what pose to give him for his body. So I decided to take a break from that and work on this. Redesigning the Fire Demon Chi Forms of the Ice Crew!!( Yes, I know some people call them Dragon Warriors forms or Dragon Chi Forms, but I just call them Fire Demon Chi Forms since they do come from Drago's chi) So, this actually stems from my opinion on the Ice Crew's Demon Chi designs in a journal on DA www.deviantart.com/gatorkid509… , I like their designs, but they could've been better in my opinion. So that's where this redesign comes in. ( And yes, I did use the actual image of the Ice Crew's Fire Demon Chi Forms from the JCA Wiki for their new looks, I figured their new looks would look better with the style of the of the show then in my own, so I just used image of them, drew over it and added the details I needed for the redesigns, call it lazy if you want, I'd say I was a good call, plus I'm giving credit.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'll go over each member and discuss my changes to their design. StrikeMaster Ice His redesign isn't actually all that different from his official design, the only major change I made was changing the colors of the flame on the shirt, adding the hip armor(?) that was actually apart of his design when he gains Dai Gui's Earth Demon Chi in the finale and adding gray talons to his feet as I thought it was a bit weird that all 3 didn't have detailed talons like Shendu and Drago has, so I gave them some! MC Cobra Now, Cobra and Fist's designs are the ones with the major changes. For one, he has a different shirt color that is purple( And before you ask me why I made it purple, it's not just because it looks cool, but also because purple fire does exist as it's a pyrotechnic effect) and there's no flame on the shirt because it's actually on his sash( You just can see it since Ice's arm is blocking the sash, and yes, the flame color is purple). His head scales get purple tips because I have said before that, while the head scales are really cool, it does take away Cobra's awesome purple hair. He also get's a glove that's actually a homage to him gaining Xiao Fung's Wind Demon Chi( He actually only gains Xiao's Puffed up chin and nothing else, which is kinda lame compared to Ice and Fist's Earth and Thunder Chi designs) DJ Fist Like Cobra, Fist get's some major changes to his Fire Demon Chi Form. His shirt and the flame get changed to blue and flame is moved up to Fist's headband. His skin is also a darker shade of green because is human form has a darker skin tone then Ice and Cobra, he also gets armbands, shoulder plates and greaves that was part of his design when he gained Tchang Zu's Thunder Demon Chi( His clothes were actually going to be the same color as Tchang Zu's armor, but the armor was actually a really dark unsaturated purple, not dark blue like I thought it was originally). I also made his arm more buff because, like I've said before, it really bugs me how thin his arms look in the show. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And done!! This took me about 2 days to do, and I'm really proud of how good they look, their are some things I did want to add but couldn't, like adding references to the Dragon, Rabbit and Ox Talismans( You can actually see this with Cobra's ear being longer then it is in the show, referencing the Rabbit Talisman) and giving them more dinosaur looking feet( Cobra was actually going to get raptor feet with big toe claws). Anyways, I had fun drawing this I've been wanting to redesign the Ice Crew's Fire Demon Chi forms for a while now, maybe I'll tackle another design if a another JCA character( Maybe Po Kong since I really don't like her design). UPDATE:  My friend @amnshe-wolf said that Cobra and Fist need something on their shirts since I got rid of the flame emblem on them, so I decide to put a rabbit and ox on them, to not only fill the empty space the flame left behind, but to reference the Super Speed Rabbit Talisman and the Super Strength Ox Talisman.

Will you be doing Ice crew headcanons? They have interesting interactions with Drago. And oh my god, I just love your thoughts and presentation!

Gonna be honest here, I don’t have much on them headcanon wise, but of course I’ll tell you what I do have. Also, thank you! I’m not sure if what you mean by “thoughts and presentation“ is about how I type silly-like sometimes (I do it to try and convey feeling in a sense) and/or attach links to certain things (I do that because some things I say remind me of other things and I want to share it, which I have done in this answer), or just in general, but if it’s the former, thank God some people are enjoying my sense of humor XD

They see each other as family; as bros. They are the Three Musketeers, the Three Stooges (the Enforcers are more of the latter, but both groups are still dorks at their finest (for their ages))

Actually a fact, they do not want to take over the world. It seems to me they just want to be a nuisances to society for shits and giggles

If Drago was around them longer, they totes would have (eventually) introduced him to their pastimes, and Drago would never admit he enjoys it and them

They probably try to find genuine joy in life. Like, instead of complaining about the weather, they figure out what they could do and only do when it’s like how it is. Too much snow? No prob, let’s snow board! Raining heavily out? No big deal, let’s splash and soak people!

I view MC Cobra as a more heartfelt person. He speaks from the mind, he speaks the most than anyone in the trio.

In order to catch his attention you’ll actually have to listen to his nonsense jokes and comebacks to the Chan’s and interact or be interested in them. He’ll appreciate it very much since Drago and Ice bicker with him for talking too much. DJ grew used to Cobra, falling asleep sometimes which leads to him staying quiet and letting Ice lead.

If you ever find one of his rants or dorky talks interesting please say something, he’ll greatly appreciate it.

He’s passionate about many things. From his skateboard, his interest in pierces, video games and snow boarding. He’s the typical teen chatterbox. He does have small quarrels with Ice yet the two never get any farther than that so I don’t see him as an over protective or jealous boyfriend.

He is probably the best boyfriend out of the 4. He practically has all 5 love languages and his own idea of a perfect date. Actually, he has several date ideas. From choosing rings for each other, specifically the ones that are made from spoons in the junkyard. He would definitely encourage you to get an earring or a body or face peircing if you were to bring it up.

He would definitely hold your hand while teaching you to skateboard. He’d be over the moon to see you progress. Especially when snow boarding together. Just like StrikeMaster Ice he would take photobooth pics but he’d mainly squish your face to annoy you, stick your tongues out or zoom your faces up to the camera. Being so open and close to him you get to see the childish side of him. Open to new opportunities, He’ll take you to movie dates at night so no one can see him in his demon form. He’ll occasionally sleep in the middle of the movie – He doesn’t find you or the movie you chose boring, he has a habit of falling asleep and unable to stay in one spot.

He’ll definitely find a gaming arcade and try to win something. Emphasis on the try.

He would definitely listen to music with you at the corner of the school bus while DJ Fist and Ice play some video games. (I’ll make a ‘playlist’ of him eventually). Just because he spends his lounging hours doesn’t mean he discarded his friends. While Ice would need you to respect and vibe with everyone to be a member of the crew, Cobra would just pull you in the crew. “Ay man, if they’re with me then we’re both in.”

Ice wouldn���t like you for taking away his best friend and host and fake funeral for him with DJ Fist who’d give a sniffle and blow his nose before Ice would nod his head, “You said it, man.” It’ll take a while to understand the quiet man but it gets easier over time.

If you happen to sleep on the same mattress with him expect those possessive but soft chokehold hugs. He doesn’t mean it but it just happens. He constantly reaches out for your touch in his sleep, even if summer nights are terribly boiling him. Whether it be grabbing a finger/claw, tangling tails together, being the big spoon, etc. He’ll find an excuse to hold you at night.

He’d be one of those teen boys who are into punk rock and yet somehow have the personality of a golden retriever.

As stated before Cobra has almost every 5 love languages in his own way.

🛹 Words of Affirmation:

Since everyone has turned a sour look at him for talking so much and being belittled by Drago, he would bottle everything up and not release any anger on you. He wouldn’t relay any of their awful words to you but instead say what he wished to hear for once. “Ya always find a way to make me smile.” Just let him rest his head on your shoulder. Especially after a hard day dealing with Drago and the Chan’s he’ll just need to sit next to you in silence. No music, no words, please don’t ask if anything is wrong; he won’t answer. Sometimes all he needs to hear is, “I’m proud of you.” He’ll give a small chuckle, “If anyone could cheer me up all day, you can.”

🎮 Physical Touch:

Cobra is holding your hand when running away/retreating back to the junkyard. I already mentioned how he is when sleeping with him at night. He’s protective, covering you from any falling debris or being spotted by Jackie or any security guards.

🛹 Receiving/Giving Gifts:

Receiving: He’ll appreciate it but surprised to be given a gift. Ice might get nosy to see what he got which the two end up fighting to “quit bugging” him.

Giving: He’s still a teenager, he’s still selfish. He’ll let you borrow his game console, his skateboard to learn on but he’d definitely find rings to match.

🎮 Quality Time:

Cobra is a social teen like the rest. He needs you at his side or at least in his sight to stay safe. If something as powerful as the demon chi can easily be taken or eaten by a panda then who knows what will happen to you. Dates, movies and staying up at night is all it takes for these memories to be burned into his skull. Working Drago will have its cons but meeting you will be worth it at the end of the night.

🛹 Acts of Service:

The most he’ll do is hand you a snack. He’s a teen — what teen enjoys cleaning? What’s to clean when they literally live in a junkyard?

Anyone picking on you or trying to even get a foot closer to you he’d push you aside and start a verbal fight with the person before going physical. He’s the second calmest of the 4 so bear with him.

If you kill someone in front of the teen, he’ll either stare at you before clapping his hands or running to hurl. It all depends who you kill and how you killed them. He doesn’t condone cannibalism so he’ll bop you on the head if you start eating a human.

I think Mc Cobra is the least judgmental boyfriend out of everyone. He couldn’t care less how you looked or what your gender is — although height will be a problem because he’s already ‘5’7” but he wouldn’t mind. “I mean, mama ain’t raise a bitch so if you crush me, I’d say thank you!”

He’ll definitely say some outta pocket shit just to get a reaction out of you but as soon as you flirt back he’ll get red and nervously laugh before backing away. As street and book smart he is, romance or dating wasn’t his forte.

Dude can’t dance and will outright say no. He’d rather not embarrass himself.

He isn’t too much into kissing on the lips or hands since he claws and and thinks kissing on the lip is gross. Most he’ll do is kiss your cheek, hug you close and rub his cheek on yours.

Even at the end of the destruction and damage was done, he’d tell you to hide while he was taken by Section 13. He might be able to see the light of day but at least you can. Sure he said through thick and thin you’ll stay together but he’s not dragging your life down. He will always see himself as an redeemable person who has committed arson, kidnapping and stole/vandalized tourist attractions. He’ll appreciate each anonymous letter from you. He knows there’s hope in seeing you again. Maybe not now but soon.
