Safe Dubai Event By Encardio
Dubai is a symbol of ambition, innovation, and progress—a global city that leads the world with its infrastructure and visionary urban development. From towering skyscrapers to expansive man-made islands, the city is a testament to human ingenuity and its ability to push boundaries.
However, as Dubai continues to stand at the forefront of global innovation, it faces increasing vulnerability to the forces of nature. The impacts of climate change, including rising temperatures, shifting environmental conditions, and geological challenges, pose significant risks to the emirate’s iconic infrastructure.
As a city built on ambition, Dubai must also lead the way in resilience and preparedness, ensuring that its growth is sustainable and its structures remain safe for generations to come.
Safe Dubai, an initiative led by Encardio Rite and Society of Engineers, UAE, is a platform designed to address these critical challenges. It brings together policymakers, industry leaders, and global experts to foster collaboration, exchange ideas, and explore groundbreaking technologies to secure Dubai’s infrastructure against the uncertainties of nature and climate. Safe Dubai is a movement to ensure the emirate continues to thrive as one of the most advanced, resilient cities in the world.

still thinking about how spencer was such sharp movie about bulimia/anorexia nervosa in particular: i've seen a couple of movies about that subject and some were better than others, but this one really struck me as compellingly resonant. completely unexpected tbh
#something about how the structure of the plot was reglemented#the paranoia the inner and outer monitoring#i kept nudging my mom like 'that's exactly it!!'

I just think they're neat. :}
#my art#op#bepolaw#mpreg#he's a little reluctant to commit to it at first- a pirate ship isn't the safest place for a baby let alone one sailing in the New World#not sure how he feels about being a parent either. Part of him still worries about amber lead syndrome persisting despite removing it all.#bepo tries his best to quell his excitement and gives law space to think about it for awhile-- he'll support w/e course his captain decides#law monitors his own development extensively for weeks/ using his room to pop out his womb and watch them grow in real time#it's fascinating; seeing those little bean blobs gain limbs and rudimentary structures. he can even still feel it when he watches them wigg#e in the amniotic fluid. they're nothing but the picture of health and a sense of pride fills law's chest at that fact.#the decision to keep them is barely a conscious one-- the thought of NOT having them just completely slips his mind#until he's four months along and barely hiding it and bepo finally- gently- asks if he made his decision.#“Yes. It'll be a natural birth.”#the heart pirates throw a massive 'baby shower' that same night in celebration

the reaction to the NHL bringing 4 teams to sweden has been something that's been bugging me for the last few days like no, you don't need to 'grow the game' in sweden. everyone knows that there's already a steadfast loyalty and enjoyment of hockey there. but have any of the north american old men with (unfortunately) access to the internet thought about how accessible these games are to other european fans?? even some fans from non-european countries?? how it's easier for people not in canada/the us to enjoy literally 2 whole games because they're at a normal/manageable time?? that's how you grow the game. it's how you grow any sport. losers.
#i dont know if im making sense but it's genuinely been annoying me like go awayyyyyy#i do not CARE about the flow of the season they are getting a paid vacation and they get to play hockey for an adoring fanbase#they hire so many people to monitor them and to optimise their time over there to make sure they aren't too messed up coming back#this whole puritan attitude around how it's a Bad Thing that they travel outside of 2 countries is insane to me#in every other NA sport it's celebrated when teams go overseas#but these ugly old men have problems with EVERYTHING but will then turn around and complain about things like the cap and the figures which#can only be expanded if you broaden your reach#grow the game but only if it fits into the archaic structure set out by men who thought playing without helmets was a good idea

Hey everyone, just wanted to pop in and say, I have 4 more commissions in this set and I'm trying lol. You know, it's just same old kiosk shenanigans where I cover shifts cause people call out and I get only get one day off and I come home tired and all that lol.
But I did brainstorm a solution for that. I'm thinking about trying streaming out for art. Maybe having a set time to draw and people watching will help. Then maybe I could do paid requests or set up commissions on there? idk i didn't think through the details yet. But I did make myself a little vtuber to use if I did want to do it (will post that in a sec)
#I came up with this ideas while upgrading my setup with a second monitor and ram sticks#I was like I should really up my desktop to good use somehow#idk but I don't mind doing commissions and such but I need more structure so I'll try it#callyie chat

Oh wow my monitor is good good
#like i knew that i think the screen is one of the highest quality right now but it's different to see the difference in a language i#understand#basically my phone has a screen size in pixels of 1080x2040#but a size of 360x800 in dp#which means the density is of 3#my monitor is 2560x1440 for both holy shit#I've had this computer for almost a year i get it's refurbished and all but i got the whole set for a fourth of the full price how#what kind of miracle is this#this monitor is 2000€ on it's own and i found it at 800€ with pc included#the only downside I've seen in a year is that one of the 8 usb ports doesn't work#and the structure is scratched#the case had gotten a big hit because it's bended inside in a place#everything else is impeccable#800€.......... wow

God that’s also why I hate the ‘Miguel is a cult leader’ reading even if emotionally I can understand what threads people are gesturing at to make it.
Because like, for one cult leaders don’t actually have lived experience of mini apocalypses affecting their perception of reality so the likenesses already start falling apart there, but secondly Miguel isn’t rebuffing questioning the canon because he’s lording power over the rest of the society.
He rebuffs questioning it out of fear of the cosmic backlash he literally experienced happening again and because if he’s wrong, he’d be forced to reckon with having caused and permitted pointless suffering which this character explicitly does not enjoy seeing/allowing! He’s literally in a doublebind of his own making.
#also like. there’s no fucking hierarchical structure to the spider society that aligns with how cults operate#there’s no isolation etc etc <- like LITERALLY the big emotional betrayal from Gwen and Peter is that they choose not to see Miles#no one is monitoring their watches like oh fuck someone’s too close to the morales house#they CHOOSE not to go because they truly believed what Miguel said about Miles’ influence as an ‘anomaly’ causing destruction#and Miguel is obviously OBVIOUSLY signposted in the narrative as wrong for this but there was no like. coercion to it#tunes talks spiderverse#long post#clearly I can never shut up about this man#tunes talks critical

one of my crankest opinions, I think, is that single family dwellings are like, ethically inappropriate for raising kids (is just one example). like there's a lot of other reasons too obviously, down with the family etc, but it shouldn't even be logistically possible for a heart attack to endanger someone else's life. no one but an adult exercising their completely free will should ever be someone else's heart attack away from mortal danger. obviously a lot of privacy and such concerns to balance, but in general. dormitory-compounds. gotta
#yes this obviously extends to the operation of cars and whatnot too#apropos of nothing really it just bums me out to think about how thin the net gets for purely logistical-built reasons#obviously also this bottleneck is a problem when the Responsible Adult is malicious and it's true for that reason too#but fundamentally it just shouldn't be possible to have as few failure points as there often are#nobody any kind of vulnerable should ever be in the care of/reliant on only one other person even for hours#not in like a constant monitoring way just in a physical proximity and accessibility structure way#direct care sure but 'yell and someone comes to check in' no#and indeed often that doesn't happen at least past like toddlerhood in certain environments#but the fact that it's allowed at all in so many other cases is just. bad situation

I cannot stress enough to you that all American government agencies are falling apart at the seams right now and they will not be put back together for the foreseeable future. EPA DHS ED VA FDA NIH IRS CDC HHS NPS etc... Elon Musk is dismantling everything. Anyone who resigns or is laid off now, the word we (I am an agency employee) are receiving internally is that their position will be abolished, not backfilled.
Do you like eating clean, safe food?
Do you like having clean, safe air and water?
Do you want experts monitoring developing infectious diseases?
Do you like getting tax returns?
Do you want your children to have free, quality, public education?
If so, you need to write to your senators and representatives RIGHT NOW. Trump is not obeying the rule of law. He is illegally firing all the inspectors general of these agencies (they are literally being escorted by security out of their offices) so that there is no one left to stop him from doing quite literally anything he wants. He has bypassed the internal structure of all of the agencies by plugging in external email servers to push typo-filled emails and memos written by employees of the heritage foundation directly into the inbox of every federal agency employee in the country, threatening to terminate them.
The rule of law is dead. The only mechanism left to stop any of this is mass public outcry via convincing your state's congressmen & women to do something, because right now they are staying absolutely silent and none of us in these agencies can figure out why. A massacre is happening right now and every single American will feel the material, concrete consequences of this in their daily lives very soon if nothing is done.
Please help me boost this information.
