Pretending that a Breezepelt Super Edition wouldn't have just completely ruined his character for a moment, Breezepelt would have been a much better choice to have as a SE pov.

I would have loved to see the story open with Breezepelt behaving how he does in Po3 and OOTS. I think he should be a little shit, resentful and hurt and angry. I want to see Crowfeather being a shit father, I want to get right into Breezepelt's head, right to the darkest parts of him.

I think he should want to get better--maybe for his mother, maybe for Heathertail, maybe for his future kits, maybe just for himself because he recognizes the same misery in his father, and doesn't want to become like him, forever bitter, forever lonely.

And I want him to struggle (out of love for the character!)

I want him to earn his redemption through blood, sweat, and tears. I want him to earn the forgiveness of his Clanmates and of Heathertail. I don't want him to be babied like Crowfeather was--where everyone forgave him and all he did was say whoops sorry. I want it to be the hardest and most painful battle that Breezepelt will ever fight, because he has to fight himself.

Then at the end, we see how worth it all of it was, because he's happy now, and his relationships are good and healthy. Maybe it ends with Heathertail telling him she's expecting, and he knows he'll be ready. Or maybe it ends with them already in the nursery, Breezepelt attentive and present (possibly contrasting with the prologue which could have been Crowfeather being absent when Breeze was born).

Now for the last of the Ivypool's Heart related ref sheets, and the last of the ref sheets for now, it's Galestar's former mate, Stripestar of StormClan!

Stripestar has no physical description given other than his pattern, so I came up with my own for him. He's decently-sized, but not huge, and with nice long, thick, soft fur. I tried to keep him looking fairly distinct from my Tiger family designs. ^^ No scars for the same reason as Galestar, don't want to contradict anything that might come out later.

For his pattern, Stripestar is described as a brown tabby tom with amber eyes. I tried to make his stripes very thick and dark and distinct as a nod to his name. I love how warm his colors turned out.

Overall, I'm really happy with how he turned out.

ivypool’s heart!!

here are some of my thoughts while i read the book. and as always spoilers below the cut :)

- rootspring and ivypool meeting and processing their grief is just too sad. and i’m not even the biggest fan of bristleroot.

- mention of the “blood will spill blood prophecy” i always get surprised when the erins mention things from previous arcs and get it right

- why is this writing kinda really good? i mean for a wc book the way ivypool’s grief is being looked at is kinda complex

- i love fernsong sm

- “i miss every hair on her pelt” crying

- they can draw???

- wait this is so interesting

- i love jayfeather’s sarcasm

- i love how dovewing keeps tigerstar in check

- ivypool and dovewing mothering they’re too cute

- idk how i feel about the sisters hate

- beech and slate are too funny.

okay so i finished the book and that kinda picked up fast and i forgot about this.

overall rating 3/5. i loved the conversations about grief and seeing each character grapple with that. i liked rootspring and invpool’s relationship, but i wish we got to see more between dovewing and ivypool. the whole wildcat and stormclan thing was meh. i am excited for star though and how this will setup the end of the arc.

Orchidfrost's Trials

Summary: Orchidfrost is a She-cat in ShadowClan, but it would probably be better if she weren't. Everyone in her clan except her friend, Twilightmask, and her brother, Tumblewhisker, despises her. Her own mother has rejected her. She begins to believe she doesn't belong in this world when she meets a ThunderClan tom, Bearhunter. Will she find a place among her clan-mates and walk confidently along the forest, or find she never belonged in the clans in the first place?

Chapter 6

    Orchidpaw padded into camp with one wad of moss in her jaws, and the other underneath her chin. She skirted around the edge, hoping no one took notice of her, and praying Aspendawn and Pansyswirl hadn't gossiped about her odd-looking claws.

    Unfortunately, it wasn't long before she started hearing whispers ripple amongst her clan-mates, and seeing occasional glances cast in her direction. She padded glumly to the elder's den. The elders never seemed to dislike her as much as the other cats, so maybe this wasn't going to be entirely awful.

    Her head poked through the entrance to the den and there was an instant reaction. Pinefoot, the oldest cat in the clan, lifted her nose the beams in Orchidpaw's direction.

    "Is that the pretty she-cat Orchidpaw I smell?" She mewed

    "H-how do you know I'm p-pretty if y-you can't even see?" Orchidpaw teased.

    "Because we tell her all about you!" Smokedapple crowed, "And I know a pretty cat when I see one!

    Orchidpaw gave her chest a few embarrassed licks before getting on with her chore. She was taking the soiled bedding to the dirt place when a deep new behind her made her jump. She spun around to see Cinderstar standing over her.

    "Why aren't you getting ready for the gathering?" When Orchidpaw just stared at him blankly, he elaborated. "The gathering tonight, all the apprentices are going. Didn't Pansyswirl tell you?"

    Orchidpaw looked down and shook her head.

   The dark grey tom just sighed, "Deposit your moss, and get some rest, we leave at sunset."

    As Orchidpaw scampered off to the dirt-place, she felt her spirits lifting. Her first gathering! And she got to go with Tumblepaw and Twilightpaw! She dropped off her load and scurried over to the medicine den. She stuck her head in and made eye contact with Tumblepaw. That was all they needed. She tackled him and they were both squealing excited to go to their first gathering together. Nettlebreeze sat back and watched for a while before kindly ushering Orchidpaw out of the den.

"Tumblepaw has some herbs to sort, but I'll send him out as soon as he's done"

A/N: Sorry for the very short chapter XD I find myself taking on more projects than I can handle and my time available to spend on writing continues to dwindle. I'll try to make longer chapters in the future but...

Official SE Title and Cover Reveal - StormClan's Folly

Stripestar has always imagined a life beyond the forest, but, as leader of ThunderClan, he knows that his duty to his clanmates comes first. When tragedy strikes and WindClan’s leader, Galestar, approaches with an offer of allyship, he swiftly accepts. But he and Galestar have history, a connection that only deepens as they continue to work together.

Galestar loves being a WindClan cat, but her relationship with Stripestar makes her question the strict Warrior code. Determined to build a family together, she and Stripestar decide to combine their Clans into one. However, StarClan refuses to approve, and vows to punish them for breaking with Clan tradition.

Stripestar and Galestar decide to leave the forest and seek new land for their Clan. But they are soon faced with the reality of life without StarClan’s guidance, sending them down a path of peril, loss, and despair. Can these cats find the way forward without StarClan, or are they doomed to a grim fate that will echo for generations to come?

A little beginning scene from Bluestar’s Prophecy

Finally finishing off every TC design for the first series, it's Smallear. :P Fitting that he's last, he kinda sucks. XD

You can find the reverse side of his design here.

For his physical design, Smallear is described as a tom with very small ears and a nick in one ear caused by an owl (that's the longer jagged one on his left (our right) ear)). I based him loosely on a British shorthair cat, since they're gray and can have pretty small ears, though he's definitely not a purebred. He's got a nice stocky build as a result, though I imagine him losing a lot of that muscle mass and being a rather sad, scrawny-looking mess by the time we see him in TPB.

For his pattern, Smallear is described as a gray tom with amber eyes. I gave him his grandson Brackenfur's shade of amber eyes, and just went very basic with his colors and markings.

Overall, I'm not super happy with how he turned out, but oh well he's done. XD

After reading the scene in Squirrelflight's Hope where Squirrelflight fully wakes up in the medicine den after saying goodbye to Leafpool and StarClan, I was kind of inspired at the idea of a Warriors-centered story where a rogue or loner passes out and wakes up in a medicine den, saved by a Clan. I think I might develop on that story, and also put some attention to other Warriors OC stories I had in mind.
