I not only place books on hold to receive the exciting alert when they become available, but I also use the streaming services provided by my local library, where I discovered international movies that would have cost me a lot of money. Libby is fantastic—it's the best app for someone who loves audiobooks. Additionally, I'm part of three different book clubs. If I were more independent, I would take part in even more activities offered. The library has Dungeons and Dragons groups for teens, and you have the opportunity to meet authors. Unlike many institutions where you feel you have to donate money to support them, simply visiting the library shows that it is valued.

I apologize for my passion for the library, but I truly love it. I worked in a community college library and have several disabilities. The library was perfect in accommodating my needs, and my manager considered me one of her best employees. Generally, I would keep a job for only about six months, but I worked in the library for two years.

unsung benefit i think a lot of ppl are sleeping on with using the public library is that i think its a great replacement for the dopamine hit some ppl get from online shopping. it kind of fills that niche of reserving something that you then get to anticipate the arrival of and enjoy when it arrives, but without like, the waste and the money.

I can’t believe I didn’t learn earlier that most libraries have ebooks and audiobooks for download. This includes your local library, which might be hosting these books via Overdrive, Libby, Cloudlibrary, and much much more!

Haven't finished the book yet but oooooi I have so many thoughts on this one. I don't have children and don't plan to but my heart was aching. In what I can only suppose is a fraction of what the mothers feel. If there isn't some kind of pay off or correcting done at tge end , it's gonna ruin the rest of my week. The author did a wonderful job<3

Yo, I’ve been reading for almost three weeks and it’s honestly the craziest, most disturbing book that I’ve read in a long time. It’s so well written.

The ways that these mothers are punished for simple, albeit sometimes terrible mistakes and all too easy to make mistakes is honestly nuts.

The school is terrifying. I don’t know what else to say tbh. It’s freaky. I find it truly fascinating tho.

A really powerful book. Every chapter I read, I found parallels to Canada’s current situation.
