BTS V - Sweet Night (ITAEWON CLASS OST Part.12) Lyrics
There’s an official MV for this one, but V’s not in it, so screw that. At least with this one we get to enjoy the photograph. ;)

Can the scriptwriter in my head go the heck to sleep please it just threw the "ships in the night" line at me ( courtesy of Twitter) and I legitimately cannot cope with it cuz?? Wdym ships in the night on an ocean so vast but they manage to meet each other for a brief second IN THE NIGHT WHERE ITS EVEN HARDER TO SEE- and that brief meeting could be a complete disaster too or it could be life saving depending on the circumstances and I'm just-- what kind of person could that be, who could bring about your destruction in a second or could be your salvation but you can't seek them out and you can't avoid them, the encounter's set in stone, fated but it's effects are huge and--
Yes I have a lot of feelings about this line, what a way to express a chance encounter like dayum
(AND THE SONG HAS THE AUDACITY TO BE IN V'S VOICE IT FEELS LIKE THE OCEAN ALL HAZY AND GAH *DIES*)

Do you think Your Eyes Tell was written for Tae? Can you analyze the song?
Yes.
Remember "eyes tell" is a phrase that both JK and Tae have referenced each other with it.
I wonder if the song was written about the possible disbandment period in late 2017 and 2018, because some lyrics hint at this:
The song was originally intended for his mixtape and probably, like Stay was reworked by Japanese producers/writers to serve its new context, that could have included changing the lyrics to suit the film.
The lyrics that that don't reference the films characters (a blind woman), are fascinating: if you take out these film references and the raps you get the following lines:
Hey, stay by my side and laugh
Please believe me
So you don't go away
I'll give my everything to you
Still unable to verbalize
The hopeless dream in my heart
To be loved
To love someone
You taught me
That someday the sadness
Will wind us together
There's longing and plea to a loved one. Again, it speaks of separation and a need to be loved, and an inability to communicate.
Similar to Tae's Sweet Night there is this theme of separation. It makes me think JK started writing this in 2018, after the disbandment discussions and the year of "separation", just as Tae drew upon it for Sweet Night.
Whilst the song is all about longing and sadness, there is always hope, a hope that will wind them together.
