This is a collection of roles Tom Cruise played from 1981 to 1990. At the age of 19, he started landing significant roles in films, beginning with Taps, where he already became an actor whose face was prominently featured on posters. He gained tremendous attention with Risky Business and became a global star with Top Gun. Later, with Born on the Fourth of July, he earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor and won the Golden Globe for Best Actor. During his 20s, he took on various genres and roles, leaving a filmography of 12 movies.

Tap (Catalan for "cap" or "cork", because of its shape) is a pastry typical from the town of Cadaqués (Comarques Gironines, Catalonia).

The taps are sweet spongy cakes coated in syrup, and are often eaten by dipping them in rum. They have been made in Cadaqués since the 18th century.

Happy memorial day below the cut is a small story I thought of.

Twenty four notes swept across the desert sands of Maysaf, along the roofs of Florence, through the forests of New York, and across the Caribbean. It seemed strange that such a stirring song was heard across these areas. Though while it was meant for men and women of the military, it took new meaning.

Maysaf, the ancient heart of the brotherhood, is where the call first sounded. A visiting brother from America whose family was strong military started the tune and every assassin stopped what they were doing and stood at attention hoods down.

Florence, home to the Auditore Family, had the call sound from its newest member Clay Kazmerick who had been inspired by a broadcast by a man named Steve Hartman to do Taps Across America, and now brought it with him to his new home in Italy. Many citizens of Florence stopped and listened.

Within the forest of New York near Turin it was a duo. Desmond and Jamie. Desmond was using his ocarina and Jamie her penny whistle providing a different tamber to the song but still awe inspiring as Rathnhtonke:ton and his clan listened.

The Caribbean also saw a player play the tune, with old salts of sailors and pirates listening.

Taps, was a welcome song for the assassins.
